CLOUDY WITH A CHANCE OF... // INTRO:

The Crystalli; a picturesque scene of beauty. Cascading waterfalls, turquoise blue waters, greenery that stretched end upon end. Amagiri pondered on whether heaven could boast such quintessential scenery. A question for another time, perhaps.

White bangs balanced themselves neatly, framing a slightly thin and angular face. Colourless eyes looked almost dormant as they stared endlessly towards the aforementioned environment. The young mage had dressed down for such an occasion, a simple long-sleeved white shirt and black pants. His feet remained bare; pale skin dipped in crystal clear waters. The dampened spray exuded a degree of warmth to the touch--resonating up Amagiri's skin to deliver a substantial feeling of luxuriousness.

"This is the life.." he remarked softly, draining himself of the dormant gaze to adopt a more resigned and thoughtful posture. "This is how I want to shape the world.. Set everyone's feelings of hated aside so we can all appreciate what's around us, rather than what's before us."

Realizing he was talking to himself, Amagiri delivered a sharp thwack to the back of his head before recommencing his period of relaxation. Arms extended behind him and his back arched. His neck tilted while the two tufts of white hair that obscured his face before parted on either side. The sun's rays caught him perfectly. A fluorescent glow replaced the pale texture of his skin.


Darkness stained the grass behind him in the form of a sentient silhouette. It's figure contorted and writhed. Clearly Amagiri's contentedness irritated the being and it wasn't long before it spoke out. A hateful and manipulative tone broke through the crisp air like a blade through flesh.

"Fortune favors the bold, little one." Amagiri's eyes narrowed. His body didn't move though; this was an encounter he was all too familiar with. "You think sitting on your ass watching the world go by, pleading for peace, will get you anywhere? Actions speak louder than words. If you want peace, you have to fight for it with blood."

A fist clenched. Tufts of grass swooped through the air as Amagiri's instincts took over. Faster than the lightning that he sometime exhibited control over, his arm swung. The shadow faded from existence. He was alone again.

The man's breathing was rapid whilst he shook his head a few times; his relaxation officially disrupted. A great exhaustion overtook him and his body collapsed against the grass; a sigh of exasperation escaping his lungs.

"Will I ever catch a break?"

Amagiri was never fond of surprises. Bombshell revelations; disturbances to the calm atmosphere he so often enveloped himself with were usually frowned upon.

The thought danced along his brainwaves for a moment whilst he continued to observe the tranquil beauty that decorated the landscape before him. A picture perfect tapestry of environmental beauty. Untouched, unblemished, immaculate. It's like this forest and the lake to match had been sterilized of all it's impurities to provide the very best the world had to offer. It stayed that way.. for a while at least.

Ripples formed along the pristine lake surface. Only a few at first which could indicate to any number of things; a gust of wind, a befallen leaf, the movement of a fish. It wasn't until these ripples multiplied in both number and size. A booming sound reverberated in his ear and Amagiri only had time to turn his head to see a bombarding mass steamrolling it's way toward him.

"W-what the?!"

He gasped as, all at once, both he and the body collided. Body against body ricocheting off eachother. The conflictless beauty that encaspulated Amagiri's private moment was shattered into millions of tiny pieces as both beings were sent flailing into the water behind them.

The white-haired mage's vision was black for a moment while he attempted to discern his surroundings. Opening his colourless eyes briefly, he glanced around himself. Bubbles flew and dispersed--masking the silhouetted being that had caused the collision only a few moments prior. With no discernible assailant to blame, or so that he could see, Amagiri tensed his leg before kicking up--breaking free of the water's airless grasp in order to take a breath.

"What the hell just happened..?" he muttered to himself whilst bringing a hand to his face. He wiped gently at the substance that coated him. Unusually, the water hadn't disposed and purified the gooey liquid that laminated every inch of his frame. "Is this.. butter?"

Amagiri swum to the edge of the lake and clambered to safety. His frame re corrected itself so that he could stand tall whilst magical energy swirled around him. Darkened clouds formed overhead casting a dark silhouette over the lake that once knew the comfort of the blanketing sun. Thunder boomed from above whilst the shadow that outlined a figure within it's watery depths would soon begin to emerge.

"Hey, get outta there!" he exclaimed whilst he awaited the identification of the buttery assailant.

Hollowed clouds dimmed and the ominous sound of thunder that swirled overhead soon began to die down. The realization that the scenario that unfurled before him was more comical than threatening allowed Amagiri a brief amount of respite when considering his approach. The bedraggled and soaked guild ace that stood before him seemed far less dangerous than how the white-haired mage had initially interpreted.

"Zeus? Pretty cool nickname, I'll give you that." he remarked with a smile overlapping the inquisitive yet serious gaze that penetrated his features prior. An arm outstretched from his side before placing on his hip. His posture adopted a much more casual stance and he glanced up to the sky. The clouds had settled now, an ordinary blue luminescence replacing the tempestuous scenery that Amagiri's magic had personally caused. His colourless eyes began to relax and he opened his mouth to respond to Theo's proposition.

He wasn't given the chance though as another figure bombarded onto the scene. Her body entered Amagiri's vision at surprising speeds. So fast in fact that her figure was indistinguishable. A frightening silhouette which disappeared into the lake ahead; the same lake that Theo had just emerged from. Water cascaded into the air, showering Amagiri for a second time--soaking the clothes and skin that had only just begun to dry.

"What's with you guys and that lake?!"

His exasperated exclamation pierced the air whilst he wiped his face of the few rivulets that decorated his pale frame. Shaking his head, the colorless eyes that had taken time to glance at the sky diverted towards the shadowed lake where a figure lay dormant under the water.

"Are they okay?" Amagiri glanced at Theo with an eyebrow raised. With his hand still on his hip, he patiently waited for the other to emerge from the crystal blue waters.
