Waking up at midnight wasn't something that the holy mage expected to do. It probably had something to do with going to bed exceptionally early last night. She usually made herself get up at least after sunrise, but today seemed to be a special exception. Sighing, the Ace of Black Rose would step out of the Silver Moon Inn and see the sky painted a black colour. It was completely dark and there was no hint of light anywhere. It seemed to be snowing as well, except the snow was completely black as well. It felt more like powder as it slowly fell to the ground, however, the holy mage felt a dizzy spell come along based on the amount of powder to make contact with her skin. In a flash of gold light, Arthur would shield the holy mage from more powder as he carried the dizzy Saint back into the Silver Moon Inn. "Ah, thank you, Arthur. That could have gotten a lot worse if I stayed there longer." The aforementioned Heroic Spirit would shoot her a sideways glance, she usually didn't acknowledge his efforts so this was already somewhat jarring.
Arthur was merely assisting in her in walking because she was somewhat wobbly. Sighing somewhat loudly, her hand would gently go to her head as she felt a dull pain that was beginning to grow. While she probably should have checked her window instead of physically going outside, she didn't think that going outside would have consequences like this against her. Rolling her eyes, she'd look at her Heroic Spirit as she spoke, "Ah, that was silly of me. Sorry for burdening you when you were probably resting, Arthur." Arthur flinched in surprise due to expecting a sharp hit to the head. Usually, the holy mage's kind words were followed with flustered hitting but this time she just looked like she was contemplating her actions leading up to this point. She wasn't quite sure as to why she made such a simple mistake. She should have realized that it was dangerous. The powder that made contact with her skin, glowed a faint purple as it faded away. Her breathing calmed down and she sat down at one of the bar stools. Arthur looked at her with complete concern in his expression, "Lilium, are you okay?" Nodding wordlessly, the holy mage would barely keep her eyes open as she looked at the increasingly blurry figure of her Heroic Spirit. "Ah, don't worry about me. Just head back to Arcadia." She couldn't stop herself from closing her eyes and after she did, the holy mage would fall into a slumber as Arthur tried to rouse her awake. She was already acting somewhat odd so he knew that this was a lot more serious than it originally seemed. "Lilium, get up. This isn't funny." A somewhat uncomfortable expression overcame her face as Arthur scowled. She usually didn't act this careless, so why did she not react quickly to the black powder? It seemed to have no effect on him, so he needed to find some help while he could.
Holding his master in a bridal carry, Arthur would leap up to the second floor of the Silver Moon Inn. He usually didn't explore this floor because the only time that Lilium was up here was when she wanted to rest and he could do the same in Arcadia. He did have a general idea of whose room was where though. Running through the halls, the former king would find himself in front of the room of Astrid. There was a 50% chance she was in there because she doesn't always stay in the Silver Moon Inn. Hopefully, this was a special exception. Knocking somewhat loudly, Arthur would ask from the other side of the door. "Miss Foss, it is Arthur. I require your assistance at the moment." There was a sense of urgency in his voice and he looked at his master who seemed to grow more uncomfortable after he said Astrid's name. The fact that she was reacting badly to the White Dragon Slayer's name was a good sign because it proved that she was still able to process what was happening around her and wasn't in a comatose state. Under the ceaseless knocking Arthur was persisting with, the only other side in the hallway was the sound of the holy mage breathing, however, outside of the guild hall, the sounds of various creatures were growing closer and the ground began to shake gently. It seems that the night was just getting started.
