Post by Zeshin 16th October 2018, 7:41 am

Soaring through the night was a red-haired guy with a pair of blood red wings on his back. People would probably care about him more if they weren't busy with all the chaos happening around them. All because of this strange phenomenon which invaded them. At some point in the day, the blue sky turned pitch black and the moon glowed disturbingly black, not really casting any light. It was enough to send every city into a chaos and rune knights were sent to calm people down. However, the situation grew worse because of black, glowing dust. 'Moon Pollen', they called it. It apparently warped magical structure. One of the effects of Moon Pollen was right before the red-haired guy.

"So they weren't lying when they said that sea turned black... I wonder if this dust created some sea monsters..." Mage said to himself, stopping in the mid-air over the Hargeon Town. Once beautiful, crystal clear sea was now black like the rest of their world. With a sigh, Zesh brushed the dust off his hair and started descending towards the ground. Landing in one of the empty streets, mage dispersed his wings and started thinking what he had to do. His job here was quite simple in the description. He was supposed to fight off Terrors and investigate this stupid dust. He also heard that few others are supposed to come and help him with this, but the guy who told him this didn't look so sure. It wasn't surprising. With the amount of chaos all around the world, they probably didn't have any people to spare. He will probably have to do this job alone... somehow.

"Vern." He said aloud, though he didn't have to. A second later, a little crow flew out of the shadows around him and sat on his shoulder. 'You need something from me?' Zesh heard in his mind and nodded. "I need you to look around the city. If you find someone in trouble or something connected with this black dust thing, call me."

Now, normally the little crow would go about doing his job, but he just looked at his owner strangely. 'You feel a little different master. Are you sure you are okay?' It was actually a very good question because everyone who knew redhead would say that he is different. There was a serious expression on his face and he had a calculative look in his mind. Not at all like free-spirited, hot-headed Zeshin everyone knew. Receiving a sharp glare from the mage, the crow flew away to do his job. He knew when not to pry.

Shaking his head, Zeshin started walking down the empty street, heading closer to the water. He heard that part of the town had to be evacuated because of the growing number of monsters. He saw earlier that there were a few groups of monsters in one part of the town and they weren't wandering out of some kind of boundaries, but he wanted to wait for his possible teammates. Or just some random mages wanting to help him with monster killing. Honestly, he doubted that alone he will be able to deal with them. There were too many unknowns about these Terrors. Lightly stretching his arms, redhead leaned against the lantern - the only source of light these days - and looked at the black moon. Waiting and listening to potential footsteps of other people. Maybe he could ask some random mage for help? Now, it wasn't a bad idea at all...

Post by Dela 18th October 2018, 11:45 pm

    "H-hello?"

It was barely a whisper at the red-head's side. If he looked, there would be a short girl cowering nearby, her blonde hair hanging like a curtain over most of her face. The way she tilted her head, one bright blue eye peered up at him, but it wasn't a stretch that she'd scamper out of sight like a cockroach in the light if the stranger she barely spoke to was anything but cordial. Speaking at all had taken a lot of effort, but despite her timidness she seemed eager to move forward and get stuff done. This girl also knew she'd get nothing done by herself due to general weakness, so forming a group was the best option. How did someone get help when they needed it? Digging into the pocket of her oversized hoodie, she plucked out a candy, awkwardly offering it up to her potential partner in investigating this awful pollen. "N-Need some h-h-help?" the meek voice sputtered, apple round cheeks flushing brightly.

This wasn't normal for her. The magical girl would never just take a labor intensive fighting job for the fun of it when there was no informational gain for her anywhere during it. The only thing she might find out is more about this pollen, but honestly she'd already forgotten about it. Unless there was something that would directly benefit her or something she could use against someone later, staying inside sleeping and playing games was more Millie's speed. But since the Moon Pollen came, she'd forgotten a lot of things. Just doing stuff and fighting monsters drew her out, wanting to help others that might get hurt by the mysterious creatures. Sitting at home all day was so boring... Millie had plenty of energy to spend, so helping out during this time of spooky crisis had her jittery with excitement!

The Blackest Night Empty Re: The Blackest Night

Post by Epidemius 22nd October 2018, 12:17 am

Anyone that had once met the preacher of plagues in the past would be utterly confused about how he was acting right now. Normally he was a being of joy and happiness, but with the current situation, he seemed to be moping about like a homeless man who had just lost their dog in a traumatic fast food and veterinarian mix-up. Even without eyes, and the lower half of his face covered by a mask, the plague priest's face and glowing green sockets seemed to be depressingly sad to look at. He was dirty, but not with his plagues, and seemed to be unwashed instead of just covered in deadly bacterium and disease.

All around him were the creatures that were causing issues around Fiore. Stranged pumpkin-like tentacle creatures floated around, chewing on things and wrapping them up in tentacles as they floated around the area in little groups. Beasts that seemed to be wolves with burning candles and wax roamed around in packs as they released electrical attacks in the form of orbs as they did as they wished to. Somewhere there were packs of things that looked like dog-shaped pumpkins were likely eating stuff and doing whatever they were able to do. Epidemius hadn't paid attention to them enough to know what else they were able to do. He had seen another creature, one that reminded him of a giant plant made of pumpkin heads, wandering these parts but had never been close enough to see anything that it was able to do or had done.

It was among all of these monsters was where Epidemius had set himself, his self-deprecating mind keeping him in depression making him believe he needed to be stuck here out in the open. Anyone nearby would be able to hear him once in a while speak up about his poor state of being. "Well, I guess this is my life now." The words would come out in a bummed out, sad, monotone for any that were within range. Attacks made at him from monsters would be slightly dodged, or he would allow them to hit without hurting him too badly. He was meant to be hit and attacked, for he did not matter at all.

Hearing quiet whisper near him, redhead quickly looked towards its source. He didn't expect a short girl to suddenly appear near him. Or was he so distracted by current situation? Mentally berating himself, redhead answered her greeting with a nod of his head. Seeing how she was offering candy to him, he looked her over with a calculating gaze. Was she bribing him? It was actually working. She didn't look strong, and her timidness didn't add value to her as a soldier. Zeshin knew however, that looks could be deceiving and this blond-haired, shy girl might be stronger than him. And she could be smart. It would be very helpful because currently he had no clue how to go about investigating this pollen.

"Sure." He said and took the candy she offered "I could use some help. My name is Zeshin, nice to work with you. You also are there because of this pollen?" Redhead added, not wanting to create an uncomfortable silence. Well, he wouldn't mind it but the girl would probably start doubting herself.

Suddenly, Vern landed on Zeshin shoulder and looked at him unblinkingly. 'There is a small problem. Some kind of human is surrounded by pollen monsters. He doesn't appear to be fighting them. I think he won't survive if we leave him on his own.' He heard through his mental link and quickly made a decision. "Umm... sorry to cut our chat short, but someone is in danger. Are you still willing to help me?"

Even if he had to go alone, he wouldn't let someone die. It would be a bad thing on his report after all. With this in mind, he told crow to lead them toward this guy surrounded by Terrors. Arriving at the scene, Zesh saw this strange guy and monsters that were surrounding him. He could think more about his next actions, but he wasn't sure if he had time. "Be careful." Redhead said to the girl before taking off with a 'Power Dash'. Zesh appeared near 3 wolves who were preparing some kind of electric attack aimed at the green guy. With a 'Superpunch', Zesh send them into the wall of one of the buildings near them, temporarily stunning - but definitely not killing - them. "Oy! Green-guy. Wakey wakey, these monsters want to kill you!"

The Blackest Night Empty Re: The Blackest Night

Post by Dela 22nd October 2018, 6:37 pm

She nodded to the Zeshin's question about her objective here. Yes, the pollen was weird. It was too black and made her feel sad. She missed the light, so maybe if they could find out more about it, they could get rid of it. None of this were things she said, though. Her fingers kneaded her sweater sleeves just as the toes of her shoes tapped together in nervous fidgeting. "I'm M-Millie," was all she managed to say despite all the thoughts swirling in her brain, but she seemed satisfied with that in any case. But before they could begin investigating, a crow appeared and her new friend was rushing off. "Y-Yes...I wanna...help...!" the girl struggled to say as the distance between them grew. Should she wait here? Absolutely not! Someone was in danger!

"Eep! W-Wait for m-m-me..." Millie squeaked quietly, breaking into a much slower and girlier run behind her newly acquired partner. Her stutter was not from her aversion to fighting the monsters, that was what she's was here for, after all, but rather just being physically incapable of keeping up because she didn't work out enough. Why on earth has she so sedimentary in her life?

Arriving behind the redhead, her blue eyes focused on the monsters circling the defenseless, vaguely suicidal man with the green glowing eyes. Millie hadn't seen a gathering of this size since entering the town, yet here they swarmed this poor homeless man. Each of the three types seemed to travel in packs of roughly four, making for a whole bunch of trouble. And while this wasn't very Millie-like at all, a smile crept onto her lips in barely contained excitement. She had to do something, right?

Giggling a creepy and quiet noise, the girl whipped out her glorious staff housing a brilliant crystal. She gave it a magnificent twirl. "By all that is beautiful in this life, I will protect and destroy!" she called, voice still small but more confident. Her existing clothes exploded into ribbons, her body naked but nothing more than flashes of rainbow lights as she twirled and transformed! The ribbons wrapped her up into an adorable and slightly skimpy sailor girl outfit before finishing in a bow at her chest. Some of the ribbons remained, though, whipping out to smack at and wrap the many toothed pumpkin tentacle monsters before they could gnaw too much on their victim.

For whatever reason, she really cared about this man's well-being. With a flick of her magic staff, a portal formed and Chester the unicorn popped out. Hopping on his back as if she was an ancient warlord and not a frail magical girl, Millie began to ride around and direct Chester to gore those gross pumpkin-y dogs. They seemed to focus on her and attacked in unison, which was fine by her! She clubbed them with her staff, or Chester stomped at them or stabbed them with his head. One made the fatal mistake of coming from behind, only for the unicorn's tail to raise and a beam of shimmering rainbow power to blast out at it and knock it away. Amongst all the black light and pollen, a glittering, rainbow shimmering hope shone to save all in her way!

"R-Rise to your feet, sad man! This is not your life!" called the girl, feeling her magical power being drained, but not concerning herself too much with it. She didn't use much, after all. Zeshin seemed to have the candle wolves busy, so the stranger should be able to rise and fight with them. The three of them could handle this!

The Blackest Night Empty Re: The Blackest Night

Post by Epidemius 24th October 2018, 7:41 pm

The nips and other attacks that landed on his body were left unattended and ignored. The man was already dead, his body could not physically take any more damage than what he already had. He was just a living bioweapon, a physical object filled to the brim and leaking everything that was dangerous in the known universe. The microorganisms knew he was not under any threat currently, the self-defense mechanisms refusing to go off because of it, and thus he simply allowed himself to be resigned in his fate as a never-ending chew toy for these odd creatures he had never seen before.

Even though he had let himself come to this point, even though he knew he deserved every moment of this suffering, some people just could not leave him alone in his misery. The first one to say anything to him would slam into one of the candle-headed wolves that were going to do some kind of hopeless electrical attack on him. The boy had red hair, eyes, and red wings, and seemed to have the idea that Epidemius was going to care about what was going on around him. Who was he to think that the green-eyed man had any worth in this life? How was he to know that these beasts would kill him or not? Why did whether he lived or died matter to him at all? The second one was a female, one that looked like she was straight out of a show meant for children and being happy at the end of the day. This one would tell him to get on his feet, telling him this is not what his life was. Who was she to know such a thing, who was she to judge what others should do?

"I think I'll sit here and wait it out. They'll get bored eventually, just like everyone does with me. If I die, I die. My life isn't worth much anyway." The words could not come out sounding any more monotone and depressing if one were to try. It would take a lot more than a few upbeat words to get him to do anything other than wallow in misery and despair amidst the masses of enemies around them.

Post by Zeshin 25th October 2018, 11:16 am

Zeshin looked at the green-guy and sighed in annoyance. Honestly, why couldn't people value their lives more or something? Do they like to be depressed? 'Idiots, all of them.' The redhead knew that he should protect this guy, even if he didn't want it. That was his mission. And the best way to protect someone who didn't want to move at all was to eliminate all possible threats. Which was... not so easy as Zesh would like it to be. The growling of the wolves forced him to pay attention to them. Apparently, they knew what he did to them, and they weren't liking it. Well. Zeshin also wouldn't like if someone punched him into some wall. It was kinda disturbing, being similar to some mutated candlesticks. Shaking his head, Zesh grabbed his sword and duplicated it. It was killing time.

For a few seconds, nothing really happened. Zeshin stood at attention with twin-swords in his hand while wolves were circling him. Then they leaped at the mage, hoping to bite him to death... probably. Two of them ended with a cut across one of their eyes, while third was kicked in the jaw. Being in the air made it hard for them to avoid his simple cuts, so even their superior speed didn't help them. The first two backed off with yipes, leaving the third one still in Zeshin's range of attack. Not wasting any time, redhead unleashed a storm of blurred cuts at his still airborne enemy, before cutting off his candlehead. However, his satisfaction was shortlived. Before he could react to what he saw, he felt fangs entering his arm and breaking his bone. He also had to release his hold on the duplicated blade. Cursing under the breath from pain he felt, redhead looked in anger at the candlewolf attached to his arm. He also saw that the second one in the background was again getting ready to jump at him. With this in mind, blood mage quickly acted. When the second one jumped at him, redhead hit it with his sword with enough strength to send it to the ground. Then he stabbed it through the stomach and stomped on monsters head a few times, killing it. With the second one dead, finishing the one still holding his arm was easy. A few simple stabs in the chest area and he was dead. Why it didn't let go of his arm and attack in another way, he will never know.

Seeing his enemies dead, Crystal Swan mage moved closer toward green-guy and Millie, while being careful about any enemies trying to attacking him. He didn't have time to worry about his broken arm. After all, this place still was far from safe. Cutting apart some of the weaker, squishier creatures, the redhead looked the depressed guy in the eyes. Before he could even say something, something bit him in the ankle. With a curse, Zesh shook off orange-ish thing and kicked it away. "We will all be dead if you don't start moving, green-guy. If you die, we all die. You sure you want it?" Redhead said calmly, hoping to convince him to... well... do something. He was never good at motivating other people. Being realistic had its faults. If green-guy still didn't want to fight, then they will have to create some kind of perimeter around him to defend him. Now that he thought about his, protecting this guy wasn't exactly his job. Still, it would look good on papers. Though, looking at the girl gave him another idea.

"Millie, do you think your... unicorn could take this unwilling-to-do-anything guy away from there if it gets too dangerous?" Zesh asked her with a glance, before concentrating his eyes on enemies surrounding them. Even her shining outfit wasn't enough to distract him. For now, they could just fight there. If he wanted to discover something about this black dust, the best way was to learn about these things called Terrors, so it was somewhat beneficial. Still, it was better to kill some and run, then kill some, learn something and die. So yeah, they escape plan would be nice if things get too hot for them.

The Blackest Night Empty Re: The Blackest Night

Post by Dela 27th October 2018, 12:23 am

"B-But he doesn't want to be s-saved," Millie responded meekly as her steed clomped forward. He was bleeding a little shimmering rainbow blood but didn't seem to be in much pain. She wasn't against working hard to save this man, but enforcing her own will onto him? That was shakier ground. Both hands wrung the staff she held. "If this is how he wants to go...s-shouldn't we leave him b-be?" her voice grew steadily more quiet, the adrenaline from her transformation waning. She might look bright and be wearing things only someone very confident could pull off, but she felt very much not confident. Despite her shy movements, she was still filled with jitteriness, wishing they could figure out where they were going as soon as possible. Standing here waiting around for someone wasn't what she'd come out here to deal with. More action! More movement!

It was as if more creatures were attracted to this man's willingness to die, bringing them from all sides and in all sizes. Terrors running wild in the mysterious black pollen under the black moon, and they lived up to their name. She found them unnerving. "One way or another, Zeshin, w-we should move. T-They're coming!" she exclaimed as more of the dog-like pumpkin beasts tried to sneak closer. In a bit of a panic, she whirled her staff and a fine glitter suddenly existed and rushed out from her, getting on everything. She had enough control to mostly miss the two people near her, though surely they'd be beautifully sparkled now. The glitter did some small damage to all the encroaching nasties, blinding them. They howled and growled and batted at their eyes, momentarily kept at bay.

"Uhm...Mister Sadface...would you like to ride on Chester?" she asked, offering a hand down to him. "If not, t-that's okay, too. Zeshin wants to help you, but if you don't want it....that's okay, isn't it? We were just gonna look into this black pollen and why these weird monsters are a thing now. I don't know if you'd want to help us...I just want to kill all these things until there are no more under this weird black moon..."

Post by Epidemius 28th October 2018, 12:49 am

For some reason, these people would just not let up. Even when he had stated that he cared not for his own life they continued to harass him as if he was some kind of damsel in distress that was there for them to save. Was he the princess waiting in another castle to them? Was he the one in mortal danger and they were both the heroes, here to be the savior to his mortal soul and deliver him from the hardships that were the current situation? The Plague Father was quite upset with them, for bugging him so, but he would not verbally state this in any kind of violent manner. Sure he could have spit and sputtered, but what use would that be to two so horribly persistent? They were like the diseases he welcomed from his god. Permanently here, even if someone else did not want them around. The boy with the red hair would state that if Epi died that they would all die. That was completely untrue! They had come here on their own, without him, and gotten this far already. All they had to do was ignore him and his insignificant self and they would have been perfectly fine otherwise. To say that his death would cause there's was nothing short of a lie.

After that, and a discussion between the two annoyances, the female that was now upon a rainbow bleeding unicorn, would offer a hand down to him and ask if he wanted to take a ride on 'Chester.' It was a safe assumption to assume that Chester was the unicorn, given he was being asked if he wanted to ride and he doubted either her nor the boy were named Chester, and after a moment's wait he would begrudgingly take the hand and bring himself up and onto the poor magical horse. Both would likely contract something nasty from him, probably something terminal even, as he was a carrier for any disease in existence. It was the main gift of his god, the perfect transmitter of all disease, and there was no way to toggle it on or off. He always spread what he had, and that meant everything. Due to the magical nature of the world, it was unlikely that most people caught stuff, but contact made it more likely for it to happen. "I guess I will go with you for now. You won't leave me be, so I guess we can deal with these and then I'll find a place to be more alone than I was before."

"In the current situation, with all this black dust, you can never be sure what someone wants. Some people said that it also affects minds. Maybe usually he is some cheerful green-guy who is always happy? We don't know." Zesh said to his companion while punching some of the weaker Terrors. At least trying, because they were faster than him. There was no end to them, at least Zeshin didn't saw it at the moment. Honestly, their job of eliminating them was a little bit hard. Their numbers would overwhelm them if something didn't change. And they still had to deal with this unmoving pumpkin tower. It looked dangerous. Well... he liked fighting anyway. Hearing Millie exclamation that they were coming, Zesh gritted his teeth and looked at the monsters.

Blood mage summoned his 'Blood Wings' again and started attacking these little, annoying Terrors. On the ground, he was slower than them. In the air however, he was slightly faster. They couldn't run, and they couldn't catch him. That's why it was one-sided annihilation. Though, at the end of it, he sported a few bite mark on his ankles. Maybe other saw his as a blur, maybe he wasn't fast enough to be a blur, it didn't matter. All that mattered was the death of these Terrors.

"That's fine with me." He said stopping in the mid-air, away from pumpkin dogs range. Green-guy finally started cooperating. Maybe things will go easier now... or not. They still had some enemies to deal with after all, and they looked like the stronger ones. Looking at the blinded dogs, Zesh flew towards them and quickly cut one leg of each monster. All would be good if the last Terror hadn't reacted to him. Apparently, pumpkin dog sensed his approach and reacted instinctively. Thanks to this, Zesh now sported a claw mark on his left side. Still, as long as these monsters couldn't ignore pain, then it was worth it.

The Blackest Night Empty Re: The Blackest Night

Post by Dela 28th October 2018, 11:25 pm

Things were getting serious now. This strange green man had agreed to take a ride on her unicorn with her, which was what Zeshin wanted. Zeshin was now taking his battle to the air. But now what? Was she to whisk this sad man away to safety and return, or was there more to the plan than she knew? This all felt very misguided and thoughtless. She'd arrived here with visions of grandeur, thinking somehow she could figure out the madness and stop it, with or without the help of someone else...but now all they could do was fend off hordes of annoying monsters while attempting to force salvation on a person who didn't seem to want it. Killing the Terrors did nothing to solve the issues. The Moon Pollen still powdered everything with its sound deadening blackness.

"I'll get you somewhere more quiet, o-okay?" she asked, though she didn't wait for confirmation. Making the hesitant decision for herself while Zeshin was busy getting injured, Chester sped toward the north side of the ring of beasts, leaping over them with ease and positioning them in some relative freedom. Her blue cerulean eyes scanned for somewhere safe. Inside a building, maybe?

She only got a block or so away from the fight when consequences from touching the depressed man started to hit their victims. The disease hit Chester first, causing him to stumble before dissolving into a pile of rainbow glitter abruptly. Millie clattered to the pavement, earning herself some road rash, but honestly she didn't care. Her eyes were wide in some sort of shock at just how suddenly she felt absolutely horrendous. Skin was ashen except for the bright flush of fever in her cheeks. It was like she was burning, yet all she could do was shiver. Her entire body was aching so badly that she could hardly even sit up. "W-What is happening to me?" Millie asked in a trembling tone, raising a hand to her mouth. Oh, she felt so sick. As the coughing started, the fear set in. Was this from him? How could someone just come down with something so strong so fast?

Managing to get to her feet, she was stunned at how much her body hurt. Black marks freckled her arms at lightning speed, but she wasn't sure if what she was seeing was right. Stuff around her was starting to get weird. All the buildings were swaying, and it seemed like every window had her sister peering out at her. That was crazy, since she'd been dead for a while. Blinking and shaking her head, the poor magical girl tried to reason out the situation she was in, but all she wanted to do was find a place to lay down.

Hating to make assumptions due to appearances, the young woman felt the need to clarify what she was thinking. He was green and rather diseased looking himself, a fact she'd been valiantly ignoring until now. "I-Is this you, s-sir?" asked weak words, doubling her over as she nearly vomited. She was fading fast. Ironic that the person they tried to save would be the killer instead of the beasts they came to face. If she just knew for sure, maybe Zeshin would be saved from such a fate.

The Blackest Night Empty Re: The Blackest Night

Post by Epidemius 29th October 2018, 3:25 pm

After getting himself up on the horse, the female rider would begin moving them as the two of them spoke to each other. Had they said their names? If they had he clearly did not remember as he did not care enough to remember them. Epidemius had not even given his own name, or a title for them to call him by, and did not plan on giving something that did not mean anything even if they knew what it was. He did not matter, they did not matter, these monsters did not matter, and nothing at all mattered. If they had just left him alone he could have sat around and moped long after the creatures the people here were fighting were slain or got tired of him.

Not long after the ride had begun it would also abruptly end. The gay-looking creature would suddenly turn into what appeared to be glitter, rather than ash as what most would disintegrate into, and cause the two that were upon it to meet the ground. The Plague Father would do nothing to break his fall, not caring what happened to him and thus causing him to scrape and scuff his body. Not that it mattered, the disease he carried kept his body in working order and would heal and repair any physical infirmities he obtained through any type of action. It meant he was always physically able to do what he wished no matter the circumstance. After righting himself he would look over at Millie, frustrated that she would bother him about his own actions.

Looking at her would tell him that she had contracted something that was within his body. Closer inspection would show that she was surprised and in shock over the sudden illness that had taken an immediate root throughout her body. The pale, ashen, skin, followed with an obviously high fever would be accompanied by shivers and an obvious wobbling and loss of most of her motor functions that she would normally do without thinking about it. There was a quite good reason for her to be fearful right now. After all, she had the Bubonic Plague and they were nowhere near a healer that could solve the rapid case she had gotten from the perfected specimens that were inside of him. "Ah, now you see why I want to be left alone. Or at least one, minute, part of it. I am the perfected carrier of disease, and you have made contact with me which means you have now contracted one of the stronger ones. The one you have is a rapid-onset version of the Bubonic Plague. I do apologize, but now you know why you should leave others alone."

The man was not happy with the current situation. Now enemies were coming around them and he didn't want to have to listen to the female's dying breath be complaints about her being attacked while dying from his disease he gave her. The first candle wolf thing would jump at him only to find its mouth be grabbed and shut before a flesh-eating bacteria began to melt it like it had been dunked in sulfuric acid. The creature barely got off a whimper before the rest of its kind scattered to the winds to get away from the thing they now saw as a toxic creature. "Well, I guess I can keep you safe until you pass. It's the least I can do as someone so incredibly pathetic and useless." The words would be said as he killed a few more of the odd creatures that seemed to be a creation of someone with a pumpkin and candle wax fetish. Soon they would all be able to see the giant pumpkin creature that was coming towards them, clearly the thing they needed to kill to get these things to back the rest of the way up. "What a mess, you all should have just left me here. All I do is cause problems for anyone that wants to be around me." He really just wanted to sit down and mope, but now there was more coming to bother him. What a pain...

Post by Zeshin 29th October 2018, 4:49 pm

When Millie passed him with intent to get green-guy to safety, he stayed in place for a while to slower eventual pursuits. Beasts apparently were focused on him. He attacked them after all. It was quite convenient. After holding them back for a few seconds, redhead flew up and landed on some nearby building, ignoring his surroundings for a few seconds. One of the reasons for their job was gaining knowledge about black dust and Zeshin had quite convenient ability for this purpose. 'I hope I have enough time.' With this though, Zesh licked off the blood of Terrors covering his blade. The number of memories that hit him was overwhelming. It was the reason why he lost his balance and almost fell from the building. Fortunately, it didn't happen. Still, he threw up because of memories and feelings that hit him. Apparently, these things were normal animals at one time, before this black dust fell. Zeshin felt what they felt when this stuff changed them, so he learned quite a number of not-so-good and creepy things. Shaking his head, Zesh left things that he learned about in the back of his mind and went after his companions.

When he was closing in, blood mage heard green-guy talking about being disease carrier and things like that. He didn't understand what was happening until he saw Millie condition."The hell happened?" He asked himself and immediately landed beside her, ready to catch her in case she fell or passed out. Apparently because of his suggestion this girl was currently dying, from what he interpreted. Zeshin didn't like this though very much.

"Green-guy, you know about this disease and you are connected to it. Could you somehow... take it back? If so, please help her." Redhead asked calmly, focusing more on his hurt companion than monsters quite close to them. If some beast would get close, he would hit it with his wing or something like that. This girl helped him willingly and because of him, she ended like that. He sure as hell wouldn't let her die without trying to save her in any way possible for him right now. That was a big no-no. F**k the mission. They have some new information now, so it is partly done anyway. Honestly, blood mage didn't expect a positive answer from the green-guy, but he had to try.

"Millie, I can grab you and fly with you to the nearest medic station. Are you okay with that?" That would be his question to Millie if green-guy wouldn't be able to help her. There was an encampment of runic knights near the city they were in because of Terrors. They should have some healers able to help this girl. At least Zesh hoped so. It was still better than waiting for death on this street.

The Blackest Night Empty Re: The Blackest Night

Post by Dela 29th October 2018, 9:18 pm

"I'm... s-sorry..." the afflicted girl muttered, staggering a bit. Her condition worsened by the second, darkness forming under her eyes as a sure sign her end was near. For fear and death to be so present, it was a little odd to apologize to the one who caused it, yet she did anyway. He was right, after all. If they'd just let him be like he wanted, then this wouldn't have happened. Her earlier thoughts were correct. It hadn't been right for either one of them to force their wills on him to save him when he didn't want to be saved, and this was her punishment.

Zeshin arrived, and the blonde barely had the energy to look his way. It was understandable that he was alarmed. He looked away for a moment and suddenly the girl offering her help to him was on the brink of death with a ultra potent super disease. Bubonic plague. If she had to die from a disease, at least this one sounded worthy of causing it. Not that anyone would really care that she'd died. Millie was grasping at straws to find a silver lining to this.

A coughing spasm robbed her of the last bit of her strength, robbing her of her footing and her magical girl outfit. Reverting to the girl in the oversized sweater, she fell into Zeshin's outstretched arms for a second before shoving him away to fall to the ground. "I don't want you to catch it..." she muttered in explanation, dissolving into a shuddering mess on the ground. The nausea and fatigue gripped her and she could swear she felt pieces of her body shutting down. It was a peculiar sensation. As bad as she was feeling, she looked forward to the end. Millie welcomed death. "It's f-fine..." Millie stuttered through a wheeze, shaking her head at the red-head's question. Trying to get her help would be pointless and just waste time. The green man couldn't help who he was and didn't deserve to have to fight the battle alone. "It's too late...help him fight off the big m-monster. It's t-too late for me," pale lips formed, attempting a smile. This was a pretty rough end to this day, but ultimately it didn't matter for her. It would for Zeshin. "D-Don't touch him, okay?"

Holding her staff out weakly, she aimed it at the giant pumpkin creature that approached, firing a beam of rainbow energy kittens to damage it. Her last hurrah and an attempt to help her friend. It took all she apparently had left, as immediately after the Beautiful Gazer clattered to the ground next to her now lifeless body.

Millie would die as horrifically as was expected of someone that caught the rapid onset bubonic plague. Somehow she would not react super negatively to Epidemius, which didn't matter to him but likely changed how others looking upon the current situation saw him, and even would throw out as strong as an attack as she could at the giant pumpkin thing that was not encroaching on them. The attack hit home, staggering the beast and nearly toppling it as Epidemius slowly walked up to where it now was. Without saying a word, not an apology to the boy nor anything about Millie, the glowing-eyed man with a mask over his lower face would simply tap a few times on the pumpkin tower before his entire body exploded a mass of toxins and bacteria that would hit the being and cause it to completely dissolve before everyone's eyes.

Well, it was time to find a new spot to mope about. The man would wander off silently, simply going off to do what he wanted.
