Her stomach rumbled and churned, roaring loudly and ringing in Kyra's ears. Unfortunately for her, Medeia was watching. In fact, everything here was Medeia's plan. Starving Kyra out for a few days and dragging her along to this village by any means necessary. Of course, those means were not difficult in the slightest, the cannibal Velkhomme never even having a thought of mutiny cross her mind as the angel led her on towards whatever the plan was. Kyra was somewhat curious, but at this point, she was more hungry than anything. What use was curiosity when what she said would fall on deaf ears? There was noting that Kyra could do to bypass the whims of her next kidnapper. Kyra thought she had managed to get away from the insanity for a moment after Jen's disappearance. As soon as Jen left, even before Kyra could breathe a sigh of relief, Medeia had taken the Velkhomme into her clutches. She was just being passed around from person to person, it seemed, but she supposed it was the only thing she was useful for. Being used as an experiment.

Kyra wondered at this point exactly what Medeia's experiment was. She had grabbed Kyra away from her maid training and locked her in her room, which admittedly was no different from the norm, save for the door well and truly being locked. She would occasionally come into the room for checkups, but never with any food. Within the first few hours, Kyra was peckish. By the end of day two, Kyra had to do her best to not attack and try to eat Medeia on her visits. Fortunately, or perhaps unfortunately, Kyra had managed to repress the thoughts of eating Medeia over the course of the week of starvation. Now she was dragged through the snows of a mountain - Kyra was unsure of what mountain, she just knew it was not one that was close enough to Errings Rising for them to be immediate tributaries to Saraphina - for reasons that Kyra could not even fathom asking. Medeia had completely held the God Slayer in her clutches for the entirety of this past week; Kyra was powerless to stop her, even without the effects of hunger driving deep into the pits of her stomach.

Coming upon the crest of a hill, Kyra saw what she believed might have been Medeia's destination. A small collection of buildings, snug within the heights of the mountain. The scent of hunted wildlife - elk, moose, even a few vulcans - wafted into the empress's nose. Even more scintillating was the second scent that began filling her mind with a euphoric wave of desire. Humans. The overbearing scent of the beast's favorite meal fill mind. Man-flesh made itself known in taste buds of animal. Stomach churn. Mouth water. Hands clench. Lips yearn for moisture. Hunger overbearing!

Kyra held herself back, hoping the angel would not see the momentary lapse of demeanor that the young Velkhomme had. "L-Lady Medeia?" she asked. A silence hung into the air for a moment, Kyra wondering if she should ask her question, wondering if she should make her request. "N-no, s-sorry."

Whether or not Medeia would grant her request for a hunt was irrelevant. Kyra could never bring herself to simply ask her kidnapper for anything. In fact, Kyra could never ask for anything. She was incompetent, she was weak, she was the worst thing possible. Asking any questions would just lead to annoying others, and her weakness certainly did enough already. Nonetheless, body change on its own. Feet move without Kyra wanting them to. Spittle drop out of mouth and upon the thick snow beneath their feet. Angel good flesh? No, Kyra could never eat Medeia! She would be crushed in an instant, and then Medeia would use it as a way to control her more! But need flesh! Need food! Hunger roar! Die if not fed!

Kyra dipped her head, sinking herself into her sweater and hoping that she would be able to get away from the call of the beast.

There was a slight smile across Medeia’s face as she led her cannibal along the snowy pathways. It had been an easy enough journey and there had been no issues in terms of enemies or beasts, which the angel was certainly glad about. Not because of them being a threat but because they might have ruined the state of mind that Medeia had been trying so hard to get Kyra into. She had seen a flicker of what lay beneath her new mentees' quiet and shy frame during their first meeting and it intrigued the angel no end. Yet, no matter how hard she had tried to tease and pry that side out of the girl, she had been unable to do so for longer than a few moments. So, she had resorted to a more primal method and by doing so, Medeia was certain that she could unlock the monster that lay within Kyra. The signs of her new method being more successful were already there and the angel had seen flickers of that fire over the past week although she knew that the girl was holding it back. There were moments where she was sure that Kyra had looked at her with hunger in her eyes. A positive start. That, however, was only the beginning. Today? The results of her plan would come to fruition.

Eventually, the pair would reach an overlook with a small mountain village in clear sight below them. It would be perfect for her little experiment and as gazed upon the scene, it was the appearance of the locals walking to and fro which caught her attention the most. They all seemed so peaceful, completely unaware of what was more than likely about to happen. Medeia had chosen this village for a reason. It was unlikely that anyone would learn the truth of what was to come and that was the way that the angel wished it to be. The witch had become so possessive over Kyra that she did not wish anyone to see what she could actually do. It would be their little secret, until Medeia was ready to divulge it. The angel knew that Kyra would not speak of such things, given how afraid she was of her own talents, let only how fearful she was of her. Kyra would do anything that she asked her to, that much she knew.

Beckoning Kyra towards her, Medeia would turn her gaze briefly towards the girl, her eyebrows raising as she saw the girl almost seem to foam at the mouth. “Oh? Hungry are we, my dear?” she asked, an amused look crossing her features, “Well, it just so happens that I have picked out a lovely spot for you to break your fast. Have a look down there. A whole village of lovely humans for you to snack on. A buffet of fresh meat just sitting there waiting. Does the sight not make you drool even more?” Every word was deliberate, trying to encourage more of the girl’s monstrous cravings to come to the surface.

Kyra's whole demeanor seemed to perk up at Medeia's prodding. "Y-you mean it?!" she excitedly chirped. She then, just as quickly as her excitement rose up, it immediately dipped back down. "S-sorry, I-I shouldn't be s-so e-eager... I-I'm probably p-presuming too much..." Of course, her shift in demeanor once more did not last long as the scents began permeating through her nose. Her stomach roared, definitely loud enough for Medeia to hear, and the young girl was getting antsy. She was never one to retain the satisfaction of not being hungry. Even since before getting the lacrima fused within her body, she ate light and got hungry soon after. It was a blessing, then, that Hammermne was so good at cooking. He always had boxes of snacks for Kyra to eat when she got hungry, and the maids back at the Velkhomme estate knew exactly the favorite foods and preparations of those foods for Kyra, always having some in stock for her multiple light "meals" per day. Now, with the lacrima implanted, that hunger rose quicker and quicker, and the week long fast did little assistance for the matter. She was starving, and there was, just as Medeia had said, an entire village of people, an entire buffet of fresh, still moving meat.

"W-We're n-not destroying the v-village, a-are we?" Kyra meekly asked, hiding the hunger her mouth showed by digging her face into her sweater. Of course, this did little to hide away the hunger her eyes clearly showed, the rambunctious nature her body quivered and shook in, the faintest scent of the beast's power rising. Her arms flashed in spurts of dark bone gloves, unstable from both the weakened power of the hungry cannibal and the mental strains to keep everything within. She wanted that food so bad. She hated her cannibalistic nature, but the food smell good. "I-If i-it's f-fine with y-you, L-Lady Medeia, c-can I g-grab a s-snack f-from the village? J-Just a quick s-snack, Lady M-Medeia..."

It did not take a genius to see that Kyra was losing her fight against her inner desires and that was precisely the state of mind that Medeia wished for her to be in. The girl’s usual meek and anxious tone was beginning to change, replaced by an almost eager one, with even her questions becoming more confident. Yet, it was the moment where Kyra started to refer to the villagers as just a snack where Medeia knew for certain that her plan had succeeded. The girl was beginning to see the natives as beneath her and that was the key to becoming dominant in the eyes of the witch. Once you started to think of yourself as superior than those around you, then you were the road to becoming so. It all began in the mind and once that had been sorted out, everything else would follow in time.

Stepping towards Kyra, Medeia would pull the girl’s sweater down and away from her mentee's face, wanting to look her in the eye. Yes, it was there. That hunger, that desire to feed and dominate those around her. The inner monster of the girl was coming to the surface and as the witch’s gaze briefly glanced to the girl’s now armoured arms, a smile crossed Medeia’s face. Everything was proceeding as she had planned and as she answered Kyra, her tone would remain just the same as before, doing her best to encourage the hunger within the girl.

“Of course you can grab a snack from the village,” she said, her voice half soothing and half devious, “You can eat as much as you wish, Kyra. Those beings down there are just sources of food for you, like any other animal. Focus on your hunger and how wonderful it will feel when you sink your teeth in for that first lovely bite. It has been a long and painful week, has it not? Now you can claim your reward for surviving it. I am not going to tell you when to stop. Eat your fill and enjoy every single moment of it. If anyone tries to stop you then devour them too. Stop fearing that lacrima inside and instead listen to it, let its desires become yours. Fighting against it has only done you harm, Kyra. It is time to stop that now.”

The angel would fondly run a hand through the girl’s hand, a gesture which would seem almost motherly in tone. The expression on her face though was a little different. Her purple eyes were almost burning into the girl’s, as though she was scanning for any further hesitation from within Kyra. In truth, Medeia believed that up until now, her mentee had been done a disservice but the angel was hardly surprised. Jen had been the girl’s previous mentor and what did she know about teaching? Nothing. Still, the witch could at least undo the damage and set Kyra straight or at least try her utmost to.

Kyra fidgeted slightly at her new mentor's coaxing. Kyra's stomach rumbled, her mouth drooled, and she-

"Th-thank you f-for letting me e-eat something, M-Med..." she muttered. A beat passed with nothing happening. Finally, the heiress had a smile cross her face. Not an intense one, but a genuine, soft smile. "I'll listen to you, Medeia, th-though can we please not d-do this again?" She gave a lighthearted chuckle before slowly making her way to the village. Each step brought her closer and closer to that scintillating scent, that wild desire for food. She neared closer and closer, the smells of meats of all kind, man and animal, wafting into her nose.

"Oi, milady!" a jovial voice chirped. Kyra was stunned when she looked up and saw a boisterous mountain of a man, with a thick beard, plaid shirt, and jeans. "Some 'un as fancy as you oughtn't be 'round these parts, eh? Welcome to Etimuk, the only village on this entire mountain. Why don't I bring you into my house, and we can get'cha set up for headin' back to your home. You must be awful cold, even wit' that sweater. C'mon now, milady!"

The man offered a hand. Heavy scent of human flesh enter nose. See bones moving beneath. Mouth yearns for bone to gnaw. Eyes dart across mountain man. Strong muscles. Strong muscle mean tough meat. Girthy frame. Wide frame mean much food. Clothes annoying. Bad taste in mouth. Live on mountain. Strong organs. Strong organs good food.

Kyra's eyes finally snapped back to reality, and she saw that her arm was elbow deep inside the man's gut. Blood trickled down his face, his expression merely a call for help, a desire for a God to come and save him.

But all that answers is one who kills Gods.

Kyra's hunger could not remain unsatiated. She pulled back, tearing the man's spine out of him, sending him crumbling to a heap upon the reddened snow. Bone was thick. It look good food! Beast munch! Bite of bone! Rip at marrow! Drink of life force!

The beast looked up to see a look of horror crash upon the faces of all within the village. Two men, similarly as strong and tall as the one Kyra had just murdered, aimed bows. Fire darts of wood and steel. They cannot pierce one who pierce Gods! They cannot strike down the eater of all! Drop spine. It serve no use. New meals arise. Feet pound on snow! Legs dance upon mountaintop! Claw of black bone slice at weak flesh! Bone slice through flesh! Rend body! Rain of red ichor splatter and sputter! Delicious drink flow from weak beings! Desire grows! More drink! Thirst! Hunger! Satiate! Quench! Rejuvenate!

Kyra's mind managed to take control once more, seeing herself pummel an already dead man further and further with her Claws of the Flesh God. Each punch sent more and more blood flying into the air, each satisfying crunch causing the cannibal's stomach to rumble more and more. This now faceless man... looked delicious. She heard the crunching of snow behind her, rolling forwards out of the way of an axe wielding man. Before he had the opportunity to recover, Kyra was upon him, tearing out his throat with her teeth. The delicious taste of his final moments slid down her throat, and she wanted more. Not the beast, Kyra wanted more. Was this was Medeia was planning? Was Medeia trying to turn her into even more of a monster? Kyra pondered this as she nibbled at the now severed head of the axeman. She was still hungry. She wanted more food. She needed more food.

And the beast needed more play.

The witch watched with interest from her vantage point as Kyra introduced herself to the first few villagers, pleased with just how quickly her mentee had allowed the hunger to take control. There did not seem to be any hesitation at all at this point which was exactly the state of mind that Kyra would need to be in, for her own sake as much as anything. The world was filled with dangerous opposition and it was not as if all the other members of Errings Rising were all that friendly either. One could never let their guard down for long and that killer edge was necessary in order to survive, after all. A smile crossed her features and she nodded to herself as she watched, curious as to just how strong the girl’s hunger was, as well as whether she could keep this more aggressive persona going. It was difficult to tell with Kyra, as it was so easy for the girl to revert back and hide in her shell but for today at least, Medeia just wanted to see a sign of progress, rather than the complete article and so far, Kyra had achieved that.

As the girl gnawed on the head of one of her victims, the angel would briefly look up and notice a group of weapon wielding villagers huddled together. Their intent seemed pretty clear and judging by the more aggressive gestures, Medeia could hazard a guess as to what they were planning. She doubted that they would be a match for her mentee but they were lovely test subjects all the same and with that in mind, the witch would create a purple coloured bow and pull back the string. The angel did not desire for them to make any plans and the more fearful they were, the stronger that Kyra’s hunger would become or so she theorised. Fear only added more flavour to the hunt after all.

With that thought in mind, she would carefully aim for a few moments, before unleashing a powerful arrow that landed about six inches away from the group, landing with an almighty thud. The villagers instantly jumped and became more wary, their faces a mixture of anger and fear at the sudden attack. They would begin to spread out, heading in all directions and most importantly, no longer in one large group, perfect for her mentee or so Medeia thought. Yet, the raven haired woman made no further movement and had no intention of engaging with the villagers herself. Her task for the day was to just observe and stir the pot when it was necessary.

“Go get them, my precious cannibal,”
she uttered, her tone rather soft, her gaze once more returning to her mentee, watching her every move with an almost obsessive purple eyed gaze. It was only then that Medeia’s mind pondered back to just how Kyra had behaved before entering the village and had seemed almost happy about the job that the witch had given her. There was definitely more to Kyra then met the eye.

Just a Quick Snack Empty Re: Just a Quick Snack

Post by Guest 13th September 2020, 5:48 am

The villagers were becoming more desperate by the moment and the witch could easily spot the fear on the faces of those that even looked upon her mentee. They were overawed by Kyra, completely unprepared for the unbridled passion and list for blood that was bursting from the girl. It was a wonderful sight and as Medeia continued to watch from her safe spot, her slayer enhanced senses detecting the slightest movement, she could not have been more proud. Every word that Kyra spoke in that menacing voice was picked up by the angel and the effect that they had on the weak and pathetic humans was rather remarkable. The fools were falling apart, not only physically due to her cannibals attacks but mentally as well. They had no counter for such anger and so became little more than mumbling wrecks, unable to do anything but quiver with fear. Ironic in truth, given how Kyra tended to be normally. She had performed a complete 360 in terms of personality and manner, which Medeia approved of immensely. This experiment had certainly bore fruit and the raven haired immortal could not help but feel a shiver of satisfaction. Medeia may not have been a blood and guts type of mage herself but she had come to appreciate the fact that every mage was different.

So focused were the villagers on Kyra that they failed to spot Medeia, which gave her the perfect opportunity to place a well aimed arrow or two. Oh, she did not strike any of the villagers, leaving them for Kyra but she did strike a hut or two, striking them with such magical force that they caught fire. The purpose was simple, to cause the humans to become even more desperate which would hopefully help to fuel the fire of Kyra’s emotional state. When scouting out the place beforehand, Medeia’s expectation had been the desolation of the village and judging from the promising start that Kyra had made, it appeared that her expectation could be achieved. Honestly though, Kyra had already showed Medeia what she wanted to see and had proven to the angel that the girl did have that dominating instinct, even if it was not always easy to draw out. There was still work to do and Kyra’s magical power was not yet high enough to make her a massive threat to the more dangerous beings out there but she had potential, whether she believed it or not. Medeia was rather proud of the fact that her students had always managed to succeed under her guidance and she did not intend for that record to be broken. They had always managed to reach a level where they could look after themselves and the angel took great pride in that. It had not always been easy and thinking back on Jen’s training still stung the witch but regardless of that, her desire to aid those who were worthy of her attention and affection was as strong as ever.

Ichor spill upon ground. Drip like syrup. Paint of red bathe upon white canvas, glint of glimmering sun reflect into eyes. Hands sticky with sap of human life. Hunger rumbles, yet more food is needed! Humans cowardly, humans flee and panic! Weaklings! All of them! They wish to escape their fate as mere prey to the apex predator. No, cannot allow. Flower was indeed safe and there was never a moment where she was not being watched by the ever so alert angel. The transformation of her student was a curious thing to witness and Medeia tilted her head to one side. It was fascinating and the purple eyed angel could not help but smile at Kyra’s sudden increase in strength. She was developing before Medeia’s eyes and she knew that this had been the perfect trial for her flower to take part in. It had caused Kyra to delve deep within herself and draw out the animal that laid within her. Her student fought with a beautiful savagery that the witch certainly approved of and it actually caused Medeia herself to take further action. There was one further test that needed to be put forth before her student and that could not be done with Medeia just sitting on the sidelines. No, she had to be in the thick of things.

Standing up, Medeia would cause her large purple wings to extend from her back, before she launched herself into the midst of the battle. Landing a fair distance away but close enough that Kyra would be able to detect her. There was no need for her to use her magic and so Medeia simply drew her sickle and began to cut down the various villagers that approached her, caring not for a moment about the lives that she was taking. The life of a mortal was meaningless and fleeting, nothing compared to that of an immortal one. Her attacks were accurate and punishing, carving off limbs and breaking through flesh yet there was a grace to it too. She never lost control for a moment and kept any signs of rage or malice from appearing on her face. The villagers had no answer for the power that she wielded and truly were nothing more than sacrificial lambs.

The hook had been set though for her student and now was the moment where Medeia’s attention was fully upon her student, her slayer senses keeping tracking of the fluffy haired girl’s movements. Now that Kyra had unleashed her inner animal, would she be able to tell friend from foe? That was what Medeia was now testing and as she continued to carve through the slime, she could not help but wonder how the girl would react. There was still much about the relationship between Kyra and the lacrima. Yes, Medeia could simply ask but there were times where action was a more appropriate method. She desired to see for herself as to just who was in control of the girl and what better way to do so but putting herself in close proximity.

The petrified villagers seemed to realise the folly of their attempts and there were a few that were beginning to fall to their knees and beg for their lives. Would that help them in any way? No, of course not but it did cause the slightest of pleasure to fill her. Oh, what it meant to be dominant. There was no feeling like it.

Soon, scent of Angel arrive. Smell of black haired controller. Follow scent. Lead to center of town. Angel waits. Prey beg on knees for forgiveness from Angel and Animal. Animal does not allow. None can know. No survivors are allowed. It would displease Flower. Step towards Angel, rage in eyes. Tear spine through neck flesh of human. Prey crumble to ground. Stare at bone. Yes, effective tool. Animal see prey use more than just fists. Animal see Angel use more than fist. Morph spine to blade. Cut down prey with blade. None can live. None are allowed to know of truth of Flower. None are allowed to spill word of Flower. None. Is Angel to be trusted?

Step towards Angel, cut down each prey. Remove heads from bodies! Let red paint of life scatter across the snowy grounds! Approach Angel, come face to face with Angel. Does not smell of human. Scent is foreign. Scent is alien. Flower has not provided scent for Animal. Animal... enjoy scent of Angel. Animal taste face of Angel with tongue. Appetizing. Hunger churns.

S-stop... Animal perk up. Flower speaks? P-please... s-stop...

Animal takes heed. Flower trusts Angel. Flower does not wish to see Angel consumed in great feast. Flower sees Angel as Family. Family. Animal think Family strange. Many humans Flower call Family. Flower trust Family. Flower share blood with Family. But Angel is different Family. Angel not share blood. Yet Flower treat Angel as Family. Animal does not understand. Yet, Animal concedes. Flower wishes for control. There is no threat. Angel is Family. Flower says Family is not threat. Therefore, Angel not threat.

A tear ran down Kyra's face as she regained control of her body, the demonic beast within satisfied with its work. She dropped to her knees, cold wind blowing against her face. She looked around, seeing the havoc the beast within caused. Corpses littered the ground, mangled and bloody, the white sheet of snow painting the mountain stained red. Medeia did not let anyone escape, even if someone managed to get past the beast's grasp. They were all dead, and most by her hand.

Fear welled within her. Regret bubbled like a potion in a cauldron. Self hatred burst through the dam walls, flooding her entire body in a haze of inner despair. Was Medeia trustworthy? Was the Angel that kidnapped her from Jen truly an upgrade? Jen had her own hangups, but Jen at least ensured Kyra ate. Medeia was not like that. Medeia starved her to unleash the demon. Even at her strongest, even with the beast in control, Kyra was a puppet of a puppet. Medeia easily handled the beast with ease, and the beast could control Kyra. Kyra was so much weaker than everyone. She was a failure to control herself, and she was too easy herself to control.

Tears streaming down her face, she looked up at Medeia. "A-am I weak?" she asked straightforwardly. "I-I'm scared, M-Medeia. W-why would you do this to me? I-I don't like the beast. I-I don't like doing this, h-honest! Please, t-tell me why you w-would do this, M-Medeia..."

Reattaching her sickle to her back, Medeia would then proceed to kneel down in front of her mentee, looking her in the eye. “No, Kyra. You are not weak. A weak person would not have been able to call off the beast just then. There was a moment there when I thought that this animal inside you was going to actually attack me and the reason why I did not try to defend myself? I wanted to see whether you had the fortitude to step in and take the reins and you succeeded. It took you far longer than I thought it would but you finally got a grasp on this animal and managed to bend it to your will. That was what I was hoping to see, Kyra.”

Gently, she would run a hand through her mentee’s lovely fluffy hair before continuing, “Why did I put you through all this, you ask? I needed to see just what this creature inside you was capable of, my dear. I knew that just asking you to draw it out was not going to work and so I pushed you to the point where you were so desperate for food that it was forced to the surface. It is only in the most desperate of times that we show our true strength and today, I think you showed yours, as did your beastly companion. You are strong, Kyra and you have all the tools you need to become a formidable mage but the one trait you so sorely lack is confidence which I am sure that I do not have to tell you. Your timidity holds you back, Kyra.”

Her tone of voice was not in any way mocking though and there was just a glimmer of warmth in the angel’s gaze for a moment or two. “I have been through the precise same thing twice. I have had two lacrima placed inside my body over the years and both times it was hell to master them. My second lacrima stemmed from a creature who needs blood to survive and I can assure you that I know the fear you feel towards the beast is similar to how I felt towards the vampire inside me, many moons ago. How did I conquer it? By taking control of it and forcing it to my will. It does not bother me any more and if you can find the same inner strength to conquer your own beast then you will do the same. It is all about control, Kyra and that is what I have been trying to teach you from the start.”

After a few moments further thought, she would add, “There will be no more fasting and you have my word on that. It was a necessary step in getting your powers to come to the surface but there is no need for a repeat. Our future lessons will be spent on trying to get this animal under control permanently…”

She stopped then, her expression clouding over for a moment, before leaning in close. “If that is what you want. When I take on a student, the only thing I demand is that their heart is fully into their training. You have the potential but do you have the will? Before we go any further, I need an answer.”
