Usually, Mura wouldn’t think too much about the timespan of a mission. If he could complete it, it could take days for him for all that he cared… but not this time. This specific mission’s location chilled his bones like icy razors - very convenient since the location was at the Silent Glaciers located at the northern reaches of Fiore. Even with a jacket on, there was a distinct, blue taint on his face that indicated how cold he was feeling. Perhaps Naomi was feeling just as cold; if you hadn’t noticed, Mura wasn’t alone on this mission. He was accompanied by his kouhai on his back as he flew across the glacier walls and a floating rock carrying an elder religious woman.
There was a special cave at the end of the glacier called the Cave of the Hitodama. Certain decease ceremonies were held there, and the woman was planning to put rest to one of her friends who had passed away a while ago. It was to be done at the cave, so she needed a ride and a guide. That was where Mura and Naomi came into the picture.
“Mura, are you content with the ironing board?” Kyuken joked at the shaman. Instantly annoyed by the lustful samurai, Mura simply warned Naomi with haste: “Don’t listen to him.” The elder woman laughed softly despite her religious nature as if she was aware of Kyuken’s and Zirconis’ presences. Perhaps she could see spirits too?
“You remind me of my own son when he was just as young… so relentless in his thoughts, and always feeling on edge with himself.”
The entrance to the cave came nearer and nearer as she spoke…
