New Things(Songs Intro)

It was the first time the young girl had come across weather like this. She just wanted to leave home to find a place she could get stronger and better! Her old home was a place that coddled kids too much, she wasn't a kid anyway! She would prove it! ...After finding out why frozen water kept falling from the sky. The desert could get so cold at night, but it had never left frozen tiny bits of water all in the sky or on the ground. This strange whatever it was, it wasn't nearly as loud as sand storms. Unlike the sand, the frozen water stuff seemed to have a muting effect on sound, making what little noise was made all the louder. Song didn't know what a guild was, or where the strange wild dogs were leading her. What kind were they? She wanted to touch them, but knew better than to get handsy with wild creatures. When a building did get near, it seemed the wild dogs stopped moving nearby. Was she wrong? Were they not leading her somewhere? But they hadn't been trying to hunt her either! 'Nature's weird' She declared internally before deciding to approach the building. What she wasn't expecting? For there to be so much less snow and cold after a certain point. The spider girls curiosity got to her a bit, soon finding her trying to touch at the magical force to find or feel the cause somehow. Her two sets of blind yellow eyes looked in wide curiosity, trying to touch the cause a few more times before giving up. "So weird! I wanna know more.."

She stood there for a moment, her legs standing atop the small bits of snow. Finally, she started on her way towards the building, curiosity leading her that way. She couldn't see what it looked like, but she could feel from its magic that it was there. This made touching the building a surprise. Wooden door she wasn't too surprised about, but the floor feeling like its wood? Even if this wasn't her first wooden house entry, it was still so strange to her. Her spider legs tapped against the floor a bit, feeling amused until the novelty temporarily wore off. Now she found herself not having any idea what to do, or which door lead to where. Well, one direction smelled like food, so she decided to follow her stomach.

The wasn't a lot to do since Quill had no testing to do nor had anything to do at home since his creations kicked him out for the day so he decided to get some booze in hims or something. All the booze in this land is to weak for him to even get boozed. He soon saw a Arachne so he got up and walked to it, seemed to be examining thing, judging from its coloring it seemed to be from a desert, defiantly looked female and seemed that since she did not react to him walking to her she could be blind."Hey are you lost or looking to join the guild, either way my name is Quill scorchwood, nice to meet you." He held out his hand for a shake.

Songs hunger haze vanished, looking over as soon as a voice called. It was easy to look around the persons head area, they had more than enough magic to tell where the basic parts were. Even if she couldn't see his eyes or the expression they were making, the spider too young to even have developed her markings yet looked right at them. Guild? "What's a guild?" It was then that a noticeable realization went through her face. She can ask this person things! She can learn the things she wants to know! "I'm Song Talea, nice to meet you. Oh! Are the wild canines nearby wolfs? why didn't they go near the building? What's the invisible force that keeps the frozen water storm off the building?" At this point her legs were moving a bit, her eyes wide with curiosity. There was certainly no hiding her youthful wonder. "Why does frozen water bits fall from the sky around here? I've never seen it before entering this area, it's so weird!" While she was good at telling where things where, she couldn't see the expressions, if there had been signs along the way here she hadn't been able to read, or just hadn't thought of touching them to see if she could. "I'm a warrior desert spider! I left home to try to get stronger, but finding fresh food can be hard..." At least a lot harder when you don't like at a home that feeds you every day anymore.

"Woah, slow down my friend. Well a guild is a place where people join up to get stronger with others, I am draconian which is a mix between a human and a dragon somewhat but most of the people here are humans. The invisible force is called magic which keeps us and the guild hall warm, the frozen water is called ice and when it falls it is called Snow unless it feels like being hit with rocks then it is called hail, and if you are looking for fresh food we got some here." Was a bit overwhelming answering all those questions but he got it done, this Song character seemed to be very open for questions or at less asking them so he asked,"Would you like to just our guild to get stronger, you seemed to be ready to learn about new things which i can help with that."

Wearing her white camouflage jacket and khaki cargo pants with backpack and Argent Gloves, Leona was prepared to venture outside the guild hall for a daily sweep of the area. She placed her Nightshade Machete onto her left side and was entering the foyer when she heard conversation between Quill and someone else. That someone was a female and not part of Quill's Synth family. She must have been a newcomer.

Remembering what she had learned from recruiting Desmond and Loki, Leona decided to take the slow, gradual approach. First came conversation. If the person expressed interest in the guild, it would be time to answer questions. If after all their questions were answered they still expressed an interest, that was the time to ask if they wanted to join.

"Hi Quill!" Leona cheerfully greeted the inventor. In front of him was a spider person who was the source of the female voice. Fortunately Leona had been around Quill's spider friend and was not afraid of spiders, so the blonde did not panic. She instead greeted the new person as part of her duty as the Guild Ace.

"Hi there! I'm Leona Jarnefeldt, Guild Ace of Silver Wolf. Welcome to our guild hall!" Leona greeted the eight-legged newcomer.

Song raised her arms up a little. Calm down? Her cheeks puffed a bit, "How can I stay calm when there's so many new things? Even you're new! I've only heard of dragons in books I could read that had them in it. What's it like to be draconian?" Human, human, she had met humans before. "Ice, snow..." Ice, was it the hard frozen water then? And snow the fluffy frozen water. That was so curious! Did she want to join and get stronger? She nodded. "Yes! I want to get stronger, I'll always wanna be strong." She didn't want to be patted on the head and told to be a good girl or behave. She didn't want to slow down, calm down, or be told she was too young to do certain things.

Her eyes moved when she started hearing a new voice. The little arachne looked over, despite not actually using her eyes. Why did she always do that? She actually had no idea, it didn't effect how she smelled, felt others presences, or saw magic. It didn't affect her senses that she did have at all. "Hello Leona, what's an ace? Besides the card called an ace, I know you aren't a card, cards don't talk. I'm song Talea. Oh! Are the wild canines nearby wolves?" Well, at least she was getting a lot less questions than Quill ended up with.

"Well its like having the body of a human but with some benefits of a dragon like, able the stand super hot heats, have a large alcohol intake, and able to talk to lesser dragons and my primary writing is dragon." He then heard her ask some more questions,"A ace is basically a elite member of a guild and yes thoses are wolves."

"Quill answered most of your questions for me, Song. My guildmate's right on both counts. I'm a high-ranking member of Silver Wolf, outranked only by the Guild Master. And the local canines are wolves." Leona answered Song's enthusiastic questions. The latter was enthusiastic about everything and was eager to learn. It seemed like she had never been in a cold climate before.

"Do you have any particular questions about Silver Wolf, like our mission or what we do?" Leona asked Song. It might have been a dumb question, but Leona was obligated to ask. Quill was on hand to help answer questions, so the burden was not entirely on her. She took off her white face mask and awaited Song's inquiries.

"So full dragons can all take in all the alcohol they want?" While that wasn't true, it was how it sounded to Song. She knew how badly alcohol could make people act, even if nobody at the orphanage she used to live at acted that way. This was her first time meeting a dragon anything that she could ever recall. "How hot is too hot for you? Dragons have a language? I never knew that before but it makes sense." She felt a bit excited over hearing what an ace was. An elite member? Meaning Leona was strong. The little spider wanted to be strong too! The sand spider was also glad to hear from both the confirmation that it was indeed wolves. Quill had her undivided attention an excitement, until Leona spoke again. The youth really knew how to focus herself. "Missions are jobs, right?" She had been trained for battle, so the connection was easy enough to make for her. If she had remained home, she would have had to take on missions too. It wouldn't have been traveling too far from the city, but still travel. It usually involved combat, but not always. She had a feeling this would be more fun. A guild was clearly not a government runned building. Different cultures did different things, but it just didn't feel like one to her. "A mission tells you what you're supposed to do, where you're supposed to go, and all that stuff. Do I get to pick the ones I do? How strong can I get here? When can I join?" Song was as ready to join as she was to ask even more questions.

"Well my people can go up to 350 degrees F, and yes its called Draconic and its really hard for outsiders to learn it. Yes missions are jobs but sometimes we have guild missions which is more from the guild itself but we rarely get any major ones." Quill step back and looks at Leo and waited for her to mark her as a guild member since she is a ace now.

"You get to choose the jobs you do, Song. Jobs can be anything from cleaning stables to looking for lost jewelry to even fighting bandits, slavers, and werewolves. As you get stronger, you can take more dangerous jobs. Higher jobs tend to pay better, but you need to be prepared for them because the danger also goes up. if you're not sure you can handle a job alone, there's no shame in bringing a partner." Leona answered Song's question about jobs. The Ace knew from experience that taking a partner for a dangerous job was not something to be ashamed of. Aura Sparks of Crystal Swan was Leona's saving grace during the excursion to the cat people village; Aura saved her from the bandit king, who literally laughed off the blonde's ram dao and Wind magic thanks to his power level and protective magic. Had Leona tried to do the job alone, chances were high that she would not have made it back alive.

Morrigan of Silver Wolf helped Leona survive the Silent Glaciers job thanks to the former's transport abilities and medical knowledge. Without Morrigan's help the poisonous spores of the moss could have easily finished what the yeti crabs had started. Whether the partner was a guildmate or from another guild, working with another mage was seldom a bad thing.

"You can join whenever you're ready to, Song. But I know you had some more questions. I'll let you ask them first." Leona said to the eager spider-person. Song's curiosity seemed to be endless. Song might be a good fit for Silver Wolf, but that was her choice to make. Leona would not force her to join.

"Oh! This should be fun then!" Song was trained to take down bandits and track items, so all this sounded rather easy. As long as she didn't need to try to find out somethings color or the expressions someone was making without groping their face, she was going to do fine. With color she had no inkling of how such things would even look, having been born fully blind. Red, blue, yellow, all pointless words to use with her. "Can I can? Er, may I?"the polite way of asking, right? Of course! "I wanna get stronger, I'd like to get stronger somewhere I get to decide what jobs I'll do. Also... I really like learning, I wanna find out anything and everything I can! I like books and other things but not the flat screen things since there's no texture or change in material for me to feel out." She hated the flat screened whatever those were. It seemed like people with working eyes got so much out of them, and honestly that ticked her off even more. But this wasn't about that. The girl became a bit over excited in joining, getting a closer to Leona than likely appropriate. Then again, she was a child that wasn't always good with space boundaries between people as a whole.
