Hargeon Delivery :: Dr. Anna's Message (Loki) Empty Hargeon Delivery :: Dr. Anna's Message (Loki)

Nana stood outside Dr. Anna's house, hesitant to actually knock on the door. Even though this was a rather by-the-books kind of mission, she still felt a bit nervous. The building itself was this rather small, picturesque little house, with a pretty cute garden path leading up to the front door. Petunias, daisies and lavender flowers framed the path up on both sides, giving the place some much needed vibrancy and color, in contrast to the dull, wooden house they stood in front of. She'd look at Loki, as if wishing he would knock on the door first. "...You sure this is the right house?" She asked, obviously quite unfamiliar with Hargeon. Being born and raised in Magnolia Town, Nana spent most of her life there, only really moving out once she turned 18. Nana had only been to Hargeon once before, and that was back when she was just five years old, making it almost twenty years on the dot since last time she visited the city. Why she had avoided Hargeon for so long, she had no idea herself. There just... wasn't really any need for her to go here, even as an adult. Only now when a Job demanded it, did Nana find herself walking the dainty streets of the port town again.

There was a lot to like about Hargeon though. Most of the people she had met here today had been rather nice and friendly, and being a port town gave it this special atmosphere you couldn't get anywhere else, aside from other port towns like Lavantir. Despite it being in a state of disrepair, the town had kept the charm Nana remembered from when she was a child intact. Of course, the current state of Hargeon didn't exactly help Nana any. Everything looked so vastly different from when she had visited last, that her memory was not really something she could draw from for directions. Not that... she had been to every single street either. "Sorry if I'm being a bit... uneasy, but I just don't know Hargeon as well as I probably should."

Delivery jobs weren’t what Loki would consider as the most useful ones in terms of development in any way or form, but it would appear there was a fair amount of them popping up…and someone always had to end up taking them on. Disappointing in a way, but at the very least, the rewards were decent enough most of the time, so he wouldn’t bother trying to complain too much. As long as it went smoothly enough, it’d be a time spent better than doing nothing instead. And this time around, it would seem he had one of the members who joined after him along, which made it…interesting in its own way?

Pale blue eyes would slide over the door frame, his face mostly calmly expressionless for the moment. “I hardly consider myself an expert on who lives where in any of the cities. The easy way to confirm whether it is to knock and ask however. In case we are wrong, we can resume the search once we know.” It’d be a slight buzzkill to have to explain they read the address wrong or such, but it certainly beat standing there and trying to manifest an answer by the force of will alone. While Loki knew a lot could be done with the mind only, this was…not quite among the things, or even if there was a way, it was no worth expending precious mental energy on.

“Let’s get it over with?”, he’d pose an open-ended question, before going ahead and knocking on the door himself. If the person they needed answered, score. Otherwise, they’d deal with it depending on situation.

Nana sighed lightly. He was just as clueless as she was regarding the city... great. Well, if nothing else, if this was the wrong house, they could just keep looking around. It would of course save them a lot of trouble and potential awkwardness if they got it first try. What good did it do waiting here anyway? It wasn't like loitering around would make things go by quicker. "Yeah, lets get this over with." One would've thought working for a guild would be this exciting, pulsepounding job, but as Nana quickly realized was that her low rank made her less likely to get jobs befitting a guildmage. That wasn't to say that the low end jobs weren't imporant. They just... weren't as risky, and quite frankly difficult to mess up.

The letter they were supposed to pick up here and deliver apparently was of great significance to the guild as a whole, so why they let a pair of rookies take care of such an important task it seemed a bit weird. Then again, maybe the information wasn't really all that compromizing or lucrative for outside forces to really interfere, aside from small stuff. Then again... they hadn't actually picked up the letter yet. Things could very well get much less mundane once they left the city with letter in hand and all. Maybe she would get an opportunity to use her blades against something that wasn't a sparring partner? Sparring was one thing, but actually fighting to survive? Sounded both terrifying and exciting all at once for the new mage. And it wasn't like she was alone in this either. Of course, avoiding confrontation if at all possible was preferable, even if that was less fun.
