Cedar town was decidedly boring, except for four things. Quite a large number sometimes, four in this instance meant only that Hime could withstand staying here for the remainder of the day and one night until she could rest enough to travel back to her guild hall. Her last excursion had been somewhat taxing; burning down a town meant using fire, and when Hime used fire she was never subtle. Such a lack of discretion always resulted in destruction at the cost of her energy and reserves. It was an addicting feeling in a way though, having used up all of one's energy; the peach haired slayer was accustomed to always struggling to keep that broiling overflow of vicious, snarling fiery energy inside. Having nothing there felt a bit hollow, but reassuring in the sudden lack of necessity to hold it back from pouring out. Because really, she didn't want to hold it back, at all, and she normally couldn't be bothered to make the effort to.

However, this state of slight listlessness rendered the slayer unable to react properly the first time she saw the sun flicker out. Not really, it didn't blink out or anything even remotely similar; rather, that was the illusion given off, when the burning star slipped out of sight, courtesy of a large, opaque cloud. The actual concern was the cloud itself. While nebulous and slowly drifting, there was a strange urgency and danger to it, and the tinge was darkened and almost black as an undertone to the smoky gray. If she hadn't known better, Hime would have brushed the sight off as smog drifting at a higher altitude, or something similar; after all, a town had just recently been burned to the ground, and it could easily have given off a lot of air pollute. Yet, there was something uncanny about just how well it blocked out the natural light of the sun, the lampposts nearby flickering on in reaction before the sun re-emerged from the clouds and all seemed to return to its previous average state.

But then, the clouds began to swirl far more heavily, and further the sky grew even more dark as lacrimas activated and an uneasy feeling, an odd unrest rose in the citizens nearby to the peach-haired slayer. She found herself glancing suspiciously around her, a frown present that betrayed a sense of uncertainty in this situation. It was as though the population was taking on a herd mentality, but with out having been affected directly by any sort of miasma or propaganda. Hime began to quicken her footsteps, hoping to make it back to the small inn where she was staying for the rest of her time in Cedar.

There was something amiss with those that walked the streets of Cedar and it was not just the fact that they were human and it was natural for them to be strange, which was what she usually passed the eccentricities of those she met off as. No, there was almost a sheep like quality among the natives and the expressions on their faces were almost blank, as though they had been stripped of their personalties completely. It was truly bizarre and baffled the pink haired Goddess somewhat although she was more curious about the phenomenon rather than actually caring about those under its influence. She had been racking her brains, accessing the memories of the Deity who now shared her body and mind. Yet, the Slayer could just not find an answer, no matter how long she spent delving in to her partners memories. It was irritating although she did have to wonder why she was even dwelling on it. What difference did it make if these fools were being brainwashed? It seemed to have no effect on her and that was the most important factor.

The pinkette was currently sitting in the town centre, perched on a bench and simply watching those who walked past her, simply musing to herself. It had been some time since she had last been in in Cedar although that had been a deliberate act on her part. Given how her jobs always ended, it was only smart for her to keep on the road and the last time she had been here, the tall, red eyed slayer had beaten a fellow named, "Prince Charming," to death. It had not been much of a fight and the idiot had not been anywhere close to her level but it had been a pleasurable encounter none the less. Her thirst for blood was never ending. No, it was more than a thirst, it was a need, just as she needed oxygen. She fed on the carnage that she caused and it was a sensation that she had only discovered after bonding with the water Goddess, who was now one with her. One mind, one body, one soul but with a thirst for chaos that they both desperately longed to quench. For now though, the thirst was kept at bay, given her recent missions, most which had ended up as bloodbaths as usual.

Her eyes soon turned skyward as the sun once more vanished behind the strange clouds that had been incredibly slowly making its way across the sky. They were certainly ominous in nature and as she gazed up them, her mind instantly jumped to the possibility that it was perhaps being caused by one of her Godly kin. It would not surprise her in the least and their appreciation for the lives of humanity was even lower than hers was becoming. However, it did seem rather showy for them and Sarisha did not recall that technique belonging to the God of Thunder and Storms although that did not rule out the possibility. It was an option though and the thought brought a smile to her face. She had yet to face one of them in battle although that day would soon come. They wished for her destruction and the red eyed woman shared the sentiment, she would one day drag them down from the heavens and rip them to shreds.

For the time being, she simply amused herself with the odd behaviour of those around her, still looking up at the sky from the bench that she was perched on.

Unfortunately, her attempts were unexpectedly cancelled by the sudden deposition of a dozen or more bodies, directly in front of her. Choking on a sudden exclamation, the fiery slayer stumbled back a half step, her heel catching on the ground as she tumbled towards the road. Managing to catch her balance before slamming into the pavement, Hime let out a small noise of annoyance; no matter how enhanced her senses might be, surprise and the subsequent worry for her outfit being ripped or dirtied by the ground, had influenced them to an unexpected degree. "Who are you?" she began to address the small group, but then the female suddenly realized that the strange group of people had indeed, been deposited and fallen from the sky, from those strange, swirling black clouds that were now centered directly over Cedar without any indication of continuing their movement onto another town. Hime's expression was now affected with disinterest and a bit of irritation expressed in the downwards turn of her mouth; she was sure that these people were not important, and more likely dead, if they had somehow been picked up and swirled around in the sky. Natural weather disasters were phenomenal in their power.

Much to her surprise, accentuated by the immediate shriek upon realization of this, the bodies began to move and stand up straight- copies of regular citizens and everyday Cedar people stared at her and lurched forward, their fingers clawing in her direction as their feet rushed forwards, unnervingly quick for a body whose face appeared so blank and unfocused. Whatt in the actual gods was going on here? Hime leapt backwards the moment she noticed the way their fingers twitched and slashed in her direction, as combined with their strange, mob-like predatory stance overall she would be highly displeased to find herself within their reach at this moment in time. Turning tail and beginning to flee, the slayer was forced to screech to a dead halt when she realized that in jumping away, she had backed herself up near to being against a park bench, in the center of the sort of square. That wouldn't have been a problem except that several more meters behind the bench, and to a little ways on the side, there approached more of the unsteady figures of citizens, or more like copies of them that had fallen from the sky.

Hissing at the sight, Hime eyed a bright haired individual who she had noticed sitting rather placidly on the bench before this calamity had officially struck. Her eyes didn't seem to be vacant, and there was nothing particularly twitchy about her movements, so the fire mage assumed that she had either not been affected by the storm or that her clone or whatever had been dropped off elsewhere in the city. The peach haired mage was never one to do a good deed for no reason at all, but this was getting to be like the main scene of a zombie outbreak novel or something, and attempting to forge some sort of working alliance, no matter how temporary or small, seemed to be a practical and almost necessary concept. "These things are weird, want to blow them up with me?" the slayer asked candidly, her fingers already spinning blue-colored fireballs into existence. They were the same hue as the sky should have been in the middle of the day, instead of that dark grey and cloudy color. She was unconsciously daydreaming about sunny weather, and had therefore formed her flames in such a way.

A look of mild amusement crossed Sarisha's face at the peach haired woman's suggestion and she briefly considered her options. Not once in her magical career had she found herself aligning with anyone and it was not something that she had ever truly considered before. There had never been a situation that she had been unable to handle alone and the Goddess felt a sense of pride about that. However, she was curious about the fire wielding mage and the thought of turning the town square in to a bloody stage of death was certainly appealing to her. She doubted that the brainless fools that were approaching them would be much of a threat but the Deity could not help but feel a pleasurable sense of danger running down her spine. At that moment, she could almost feel the arms of her Godly partner wrapping around her shoulders in an almost loving manner. It was a sensation that she felt often although Sarisha deeply wished that she could embrace her Godly partner in reality. Alas, that was impossible and all she could do was dream and allow her imagination to wonder.

"Sounds like a plan," she quipped, before suddenly vanishing in to what would appear to be a puddle of water. After a few moments, she would then reappear behind both the bench that she had been sitting on and the group of zombies that had been approaching from the rear. It was one of the few stealthy abilities that she had access too and was hardly her style but it had its uses. The brainless automatons did not have the slightest chance in following her movements and by the time they realised where she was, Sarisha was in the thick of them, trusting that her new ally would be able to handle the group coming in from the other side.

There was no real need for her to even use any of her abilities at this stage and Sarisha simply used her natural physical capabilities, easily outmanoeuvring her slow opponents with punishing melee strikes, becoming a furious frenzy of destruction. There was something about hand to hand combat that she truly loved and she felt no greater pleasure than ploughing her fist in to the skull or body of her opponent. At almost six foot, she was by no means a lightweight and with her Slayer boosted strength and speed, it was little more than child's play for her to outmanoeuvre as well as out muscle her enemies. The zombies were not much good either and it only took one or two blows from her in order to fell each one. Her movements were as fluidic as water and equally as forceful. Oh, how she loved the thrill of battle as well as the beautiful crimson colour that came from shedding the blood of her enemies. Being in the middle of battle was paradise, pure bliss.

"Having fun?" she called out to her new ally while fighting, her tone of voice giving away the pleasure that she was experiencing. Stepping back briefly in order to dodge yet another punch from yet another zombie, she then balled her fist and unleashed her signature punch to the fool's midsection, before sending her knee upwards in to his chin, knocking his head upwards and wide open for a powerful uppercut that sent him flying backwards and crashing to the ground.
