Job Title:
Pandaemonic Plague
Rank:
Cross-Guild Scale Job
Job Location:
Tsak Ordahic
Group Word Count:
The wordcounts for Guild Scale jobs are based on the players. A player has the choice to complete the solo wordcount of a job up to one rank higher than their own. If they choose to complete the wordcount of a set rank, they will be rewarded with the EXP of that rank. If they choose to complete the wordcount of a job that is a rank higher, they will be rewarded that rank job’s worth of EXP. All participating/active members must complete their wordcount before the Guild Scale job can be turned in.
Additional Requirements:
● At Least 5 members from each participating guild
● Participants must be of either Fairy Tail, Onyx Moon or Silver Wolf
● The participants will split up into 6 separate groups (2 Thread for each team) with different tasks and overall goals. These individual group goals, along with the overarching goal of the cross guild scale, which will be to collect at least one sample from every type of enemy present for the mission, will have to be fulfilled for each group.
Job Description:
Ever since the events connected to the West Fiore Trading Company had happened rumors had been spreading all throughout the vast Island Nation of Tolgalen, the domain of the Trading Company, rumors of an ancient war of guilds, rumors of an unspeakable act of sin and rumors of death and suffering on an unforgivable scale. A tale of a land cursed by the sins of its occupants has recently resurfaced, its name already long forgotten, hidden away and blocked off by a mountain range previously thought impassable. Not much is actually known about the truth behind these stories, but the events that occurred convinced the West Fiore Trading Company to reach out to its allies, Fairy Tail and Silver Wolf, for aid in investigating this matter and the story behind it.
In any case, one thing is sure. The thing responsible for the sudden turn of events has been found out to be a strange, unknown disease that infects indiscriminately and scars both mind and body. The potential threat this disease poses to the people, the flora and the fauna of Tolgalen is immense, and it thus has been decided that immediate action to investigate this newly uncovered area where the plague is believed to originate from is needed. The participants of the force sent to investigate will be divided in different groups, one or multiple groups at the same time tasked with fulfilling one of three overall goals needed to gather more information about the plague and initiate the process of analysis needed in order to find a possible cure:
● 1) A scouting force to go ahead and gather intel about the area as well as the flora and fauna of this unknown, plague ridden land.
● 2) A force that collects samples of air, soil and water as well as bio-samples of infected living beings.
● 3) A force that acts as a security and clearing force to cleanse the area of infected matter and make sure to thin out the ranks of any hostiles that roam the affected land.
Some tasks might overlap slightly between the groups, such as collecting samples, but those are the overarching tasks each group will deal with.
Reward: Participants will get jewels of the rank of job they took. The guilds themselves will each receive 200,000 Jewels + 25,000 Jewels for every member who completes it.

- Enemies:
- Weak:
- Grass Viper:
Grass Vipers are probably one of the most common sights in the Pathogen Area. They are made up of a small amount of mutated biomass, mostly grasses and moss, forming snake like entities possessing rudimentary intelligence, yet driven only by a single instinct: Hunger. They are rather weak, but will try and attack any foe they could realistically take down, almost exclusively attacking in mid to large sized groups. They're fragile, not taking much in the way of punishment before falling apart and only have one weapon at their disposal, a mutated, claw like appendage they use for slashing at a target to try and weaken them.- Enemy Rank: Weak

- Pathogen Walker:
These are the walking remains of the unfortunate souls that suffered through the end stadium of the pathogen. Their bodies are almost entirely mutated and all sentience has been stripped from these individuals, replaced with only the desire to consume. They roam around the Pathogen Area individually or in small groups, looking for their next meal, attacking on sight. The walkers are basically normal human beings, though grossly misshapen, and thus can't take much damage, moving slowly and sluggishly. They have, however, mutated some fairly dangerous weapons, like their clawed hands and strong jaws, dangerous not for the damage they can inflict but the pathogen they spread. If you don't have something to ward you against the pathogen then you better avoid getting bit ...- Enemy Rank: Weak

- Plague Bug:
Mutated bugs of the Pathogen Area. They're basically mutated combinations of known types of insects, though rather large in size, some reaching almost 2 feet in length. They, much the same as the other creatures, are driven by overwhelming hunger, roaming the pathogen area in small groups, preferring to stalk their prey and stay at a distance until a perfect opportunity for ambush arises. They have strong jaws and pincers they can use to bite opponents, and additionally possess the ability to spew out a substance that, when coming into contact with air becomes extremely sticky, making it rather hard to do even so much as move when hit by it. Their bodies are covered in chitin plates, which provides these creatures with some protection, but once you're through they're pretty vulnerable ... but beware, their blood is highly acidic.- Enemy Rank: Weak

- Pathogen Knight:
The term "Knight" is used rather loosely in this case. They are pretty much the same as the Pathogen Walkers, the only difference being their equipment and seemingly slightly higher intelligence. These mutants used to be soldiers, security forces or even adventurers before being turned into what they are now, the only thing remaining of their past professions the weapons they wield and the armor they wear, ranging from anything between rudimentary melee weapons to sharp blades and studded leather to full plate armor. They do prefer to use their weapons in combat, but can also bite if one gets to close, and roam the pathogen area individually or leading a small group of Walkers.- Enemy Rank: Weak

- Rotting Maw:
Twisted remains of rotting plants fused together by the pathogen, given an unnatural desire in their wish to kill and consume more matter to grow. These slowly creeping masses are little more than a mouth, lined with sharp, teeth like growths, surrounded by foul biomatter, giving off a stench of decay that makes them hard to miss. They pretty much remain stationary, but become active when another creature enters their vicinity. Their bites inflict a virulent burning sensation, and being cautious when getting close is highly advised. They do absorb some damage, but are generally easily disposed of, especially when hit with fire.- Enemy Rank: Weak

- Bone Crab:
These mutated crustaceans are found in an around the waters of the Pathogen Area, their size enlarged to be taller than the average person, covered head to toe in thick plate armor. They are equipped with two large, strong claws they use to slash at their targets and, should they manage to get a hold of them, rip them apart to consume them. Most commonly found in small groups they still pose a decent thread to lower rank mages, but are susceptible to electricity.- Enemy Rank: Weak

These are found exclusively in the waters of the Pathogen Area. Horrifying, mutated sharks, highly aggressive in their nature, their bodies twisted by the affliction, their skin covered in thick, boney plates that makes dealing damage to them somewhat of a difficulty, especially underwater. These creatures are solitary and found in both freshwater and saltwater, hunting their prey in both to rip them apart with their elongated, sharp rows of teeth.- Enemy Rank: Normal

- Plague Raptor:
A highly mutated, twisted creature of the Pathogen Area. Nobody is quite sure what this thing used to be, but it is certain that they are a horrible abomination now. Their only limbs are their two legs, almost resembling a dinosaur in appearance, standing around 10 feet tall, these creatures rely on their speed to hunt their prey in small groups. Their skin is fleshy and covered in rotting pustules, and their jaw is lined with long, sharp teeth. Their sole instinct is their desire to hunt and eat, and naturally, they are pretty good at doing both dealing decent damage with their bites after ambushing their prey, quickly overwhelming it before ripping it apart and moving on to the next best thing they can find.- Enemy Rank: Normal

- Chitin Rose:
Somewhat twisted in nature, these things can be found in the forests of the Pathogen Area. They have round, almost ball shaped bodies, 6 legs, and, instead of heads or mouths, a blossoming flower. Do not be fooled, however, for these things are anything but harmless. Inside their bodies they produce a highly corrosive gas (which is also highly flammable) that they spew out from their flower like maws to melt their victims into a slush before using a proboscis of sorts to slurp up the remains. They can be found hunting in medium to large groups and don't pose much of a threat on their own, standing only about 3 feet tall, but can become dangerous rather quickly in larger numbers. They are somewhat armored with a chitinous exoskeleton, but are very vulnerable to fire damage due to the gas, exploding in a storm of flame when coming in contact with it.- Enemy Rank: Normal

- Poison Mist: The Chitin Rose releases a cone of poisonous mist that extends forward 30m and 30m to the left and right at 50m/s. Deals 80 HP in damage to all who breathe it in. Costs 30 MP to use.
- Acid Shot: The Chitin Rose fires a concentrated shot of acid at a single target closest to it at 200 m/s. This acid can melt even the toughest of metals and deals 100 HP in damage to the one hit by it. Costs 60 MP to use.
- Flame Swathe: The Chitin Rose releases a cloud of gas all around itself that covers a radius of 50 m around it before producing a spark, igniting the cloud in a massive explosion that travels at 100 m/s and deals 120 HP in damage to those caught within the attack, including the Rose. Costs 90 MP to use. - Enemy Speed: 20 m/s

- Bone Chimera:
Perhaps the most ironic metaphor for humanity's unending greed, this terrifying monstrosity is what remains of a group of people fused together and mutated into a new, deadly shape by the pathogen, driven only by the desire to consume more and more. This being is bipedal, though bestial in shape, standing on it's hind legs to attack with it's 4 long, clawed arms. It's head is huge and burdened with an over-proportionate, gaping maw that is lined with row upon row of sharp, bone like spikes and teeth, held in balance by a long, fleshy tail. These monsters hunt on their own, are pretty fast for their size and will rush at the first living thing they encounter, trying to grab or slash it with their 4 arms before consuming it whole.- Enemy Rank: Normal

- Flatland Hunter:
Creatures formed originally out of plant matter by the pathogen. These things are something of an oddity, even for the Pathogen Area, being highly specialized hunters that roam the flats and grasslands around. They are around 10 feet tall, spider like creatures, though with 4 legs instead of 8, that seem to be able to accelerate extremely fast, reaching top speeds of over 150 mph when in full sprints, and are able to move rather dexterously, being nimble despite their size. They always incorporate some sort of heavy object like a large stone, for example, into their bodies to give them more mass which they use to attack their prey by ramming them at maximum possible speeds, crushing them to death before consuming the remains. Since they almost always receive some damage themselves in the process they also have the ability to regenerate by absorbing available plant matter.- Enemy Rank: Normal
- Enemy HP: 160 HP
- Enemy MP: 20 MP
- Enemy Melee Damage: 120 HP

- Biomass Regeneration: The Flatland Hunter can spend 20 MP to instantly absorb some of the surrounding biomatter and regenerate damage it has sustained. This heals the creature for 80 HP. - Enemy Speed: 70 m/s

- Reef Stalker:
These creatures of the sea, resembling something best described as a mix between fish and octopus, have been around since before the outbreak of the pathogen affliction and, due to their natural habitat, the deep sea, seem somewhat unaffected by it. Still, they seem to be rather intelligent and territorial, predatory creatures that will not shy away from attacking, primarily by grasping an enemy with their 4 long arms or tentacles and dragging them deep underwater to drown before consuming the body.- Enemy Rank: Normal

- Afflicted Reef Stalker:
Despite the Reef Stalkers being relatively unaffected due to their sea habitats, they are not immune. An afflicted Reef Stalker, strangely enough, seems to be hardly affected by the pathogen ... physically, at least, their bodies only undergoing minor mutations, yet their mind seems to be changed entirely, giving them what appears to be sentience, though these creatures are rarer than their unafflicted brethren. Not only that, an Afflicted Reef Stalker seems to be highly intelligent, so much so in fact that it's granting them psychic powers. They have the ability to move things with their mind and send out waves of psychic energy that knock enemies back, able to induce strong fear in their victims and even able to communicate telepathically, should they so desire. What they will have to say though probably will not be nice, their consciousness dominated by the influence of the pathogen, making the highly aggressive and, as with the other affected creatures, very, very hungry.- Enemy Rank: Strong
- Enemy HP: 450 HP
- Enemy MP: 100 MP
- Enemy Melee Damage: 100 HP
- Enemy Spell Damage:
- Shockwave: The Afflicted Reef Stalker releases a burst of psychic energy that turns into a shockwave which extends out 50m in all directions at 50m/s, dealing 100 HP in damage to anyone in the area and launching affected players back 30m. Costs 50 MP to use.
- Psychic Force: The Afflicted Reef Stalker releases a piercing, psychic scream that affect anyone within 100m at 100m/s who can hear it, temporarily confusing the affected players and thus immobilizing them for 1 post. Costs 100 MP to use. - Enemy Speed: 60 m/s (Underwater)

- Karkinos:
Named after their mythical counterparts, the Karkinos are ginormous, grossly mutated crabs, standing a good 20 feet high, that hunts in and around the waters of the pathogen area using their massive claws of which they possess 10, 5 on each side. Their jaws and body are lined with thick and heavy, spiked bone plates making damaging them rather difficult, and around their mouths an array of tentacles works to grasp their prey and bring it towards their maw for consummation. These beasts are, luckily, rather rare, but should you still end up somehow facing one you should consider just running as fast as you can ... and hope that you can actually outrun them due to their fast speeds. Normally, they will try to crush their prey into a pulp with their heavy claws before swallowing them and moving on to the next target. Additionally, they have the ability to shoot a stream of extremely pressurized water from their mouth which is easily able to saw in half materials such as solid rock or iron.- Enemy Rank: Strong

- Water Saw: The Karkinos instantly spends 40 MP to produce a stream of pressurized water from its maw that it fires at a single target within 200m at 200m/s. This beam can rip apart even the toughest of material and deals 150 HP in damage it it hits. - Enemy Speed: 75 m/s
- Enemy Rank: Strong
- Vine Charger:
A gross amalgamation of all kinds of rotting bio matter, elements of bone and flesh mixing with grass, moss and plants to mutate into these monstrous creatures under the influence of the pathogen. Being bipedal, these creatures stand around 10 feet tall, but possess disproportionately large, clawed hands which they use to crush their prey in the swamps and forests of the Pathogen Area. These creatures are highly aggressive, but usually roam around alone, being somewhat rare, and will not stop fighting viciously until they're dead. Killing them, of course, is extremely hard to do with the Chargers having the ability to regenerate any damage using all kinds of biological matter they can find. They are, as one would expect, weak to attacks with fire.- Enemy Rank: Strong
- Enemy HP: 500 HP - Take double damage from fire based attacks.

- Enemy Rank: Strong
- Tree Demon:
These creatures aren't really demons, though sharing with their namesakes not just that, but also an extreme strength. Tree Demons are literally huge trees, a good 50 feet tall, that have been affected by the pathogen, animated to roam the woodlands and flats of the Pathogen Area with slow, heavy steps. They are a rare sight, since most trees of that size just wither and die, but most certainly a brutal, primal force to be reckoned with. Humanoid in shape, although gigantic in size and rather slow, they, too, have an unnatural hunger to them, trying to spot slow moving prey for them to crush with their enormous extremities before consuming it whole. Additionally, these creatures are disturbingly tough, able to take a lot of punishment, and hit extremely hard, though their swings and stomps are slow and should be easy to dodge.- Enemy Rank: Strong

- Pathogen Floater:
Large, flying creatures that are exclusively found hovering or floating around the sky of the Pathogen Area. Resembling a flying ball with 6 long tentacles attached to it ending with sharp claws, these mutations attack their prey by grasping it with their tentacles, flying up and dropping it from high altitude, gravity doing the work for them, crushing it before floating down, tearing the victim to pieces with their tentacles and consuming it. Additionally, they are quite speedy and can slash at their targets with an overwhelming barrage of slashes from their 6 extremities. Though not armored at all they are nimble, easily able to dodge even fast attacks and spells.- Enemy Rank: Strong

- Plague Wyvern:
Roaming the skies of the Pathogen Area is a terrifying magical creature, its form twisted and its shape changed, mutated, it's body turned completely white by the pathogen: The Plague Wyvern. With a wingspan of nearly 50 feet the Wyvern is gigantic for its species, its reptilian body covered, from head to toe, in thick plates of bone, it's muscular legs ending in clawed feet that are easily capable of crushing even the strongest of foes. The Plague Wyvern is, additionally to its insanely fast flying speed, supreme agility and heavy armor, able to spew from its mouth a stream of extremely hot, blue flame that cannot be consumed by any kind of slayer and will melt everything in its path, undoubtedly proving deadly to even the highest ranking mages.- Enemy Rank: Boss

The flames cannot be extinguished or consumed by any kind of slayer, are extremely hot and deal 200 HP in damage to those affected. Costs 50 MP to use. - Enemy Speed: 300 m/s
- Enemy Rank: Boss
- Bone Drake:
Destroying everything in its path, from the grasslands and woods to the shores is the gigantic, enormous, mutated Bone Drake. A creature of a towering height of 150 feet, this monstrosity is impressive and intimidating through sheer size alone, the ground below trembling with each of its massive steps. All but the strongest of spells are simply reflected off the crystalline bone structures that coat its entire body in a thick, nigh impenetrable armor. Despite its enormous size, the Bone Drake is able to sprint at astonishing speeds, simply crushing those caught under its huge feet, swallowing all but the largest creatures whole with a single bite. Additionally, the breath of the Bone Drake has a crystallizing effect to everything it touches, thus being highly dangerous and to avoid under most circumstances.- Enemy Rank: Boss
- Enemy HP: 1,500 HP - 50% damage reduction against incoming spell damage

- Enemy Spell Damage:
- Quartz Animation: The Bone Drake releases a cone of extreme cold from its mouth, the crystallizing storm expanding out forward for 100m and 100m to both sides at 100m/s. Anyone affected by the breath is instantly encased by a thin layer of crystal, immobilizing the affected for their next post as well as dealing 120 HP in damage. Cannot be consumed by slayers. Costs 80 MP to use. - Enemy Speed: 30 m/s
- Enemy Rank: Boss
- Leviathan Serpent:
Claiming dominion over the waters of the Pathogen Area is the largest of the mutated creatures of the deep, the Leviathan Serpent. About 30 feet in diameter and 300 feet in length this massive sea monster is highly adapted to both freshwater and saltwater where it will devour everything that crosses its path. Its body lined with glands that are able to produce, store and release strong electrical energy instantly with nothing but a thought, the Serpent using it to paralyze foes and prey close to itself before taking out a chunk of them with its huge, venomous teeth. The venom of the Leviathan serpent is extremely strong, corroding away even the strongest of metals in a matter of seconds and, in addition to that, can't be eaten by any kind of slayer due to its deeply corrupted nature. The Leviathan Serpent also possesses a thick, leathery hide that isn't easily damaged by spells or physical attacks and is, for its size, extremely nimble and agile while underwater.- Enemy Rank: Boss
