    Lester Drynedi ❀ Crystal Swan

    Attire  Job Information

His past few days had been relaxing and nice, spending days on the ship with clouds passing overhead and the winds pushing each tuft of white powder around the sky, blossoms of white loud dancing overhead as if guided by the most elegant of woman. It was something to appreciate for sure, there were times when he just wished that the time would stay still and the enemies would cease their actions. Just allowing him to breath for a brief moment. Yet it would never be that kind to him, despite his youth the male had gathered enough experience to know that a true holiday would come at retirement. It was with that knowledge that he held a letter in his hand, seal broken the curling cursive read in a neat rhythm. 'Takedown of the EPPSC; Electric Psychedelic Pussycat Swingers Club' Instructions and information passed onto Lester, it had been given to him with the intention of taking a partner. Whilst there had been encouragement to take jobs outside of his team Lester knew that the bonds between team mates lead to a smoother mission. This was one that he needed to depart on quickly, there would be little time for gathering the expert team together, the enemy could move base at any moment, new information was best served fresh.

Yet with the urgency of this he had a feeling that it was better off to bring someone, no matter how unfit they were for such a stealth based mission. The one thing he could say was that at least the individual had skill in finding things. It was earlier than the zombies normal wakeup time, there was only one way to deal with the horrific situation he was about to place himself in. The name on the door seemed too formal for the monster that resided within, Theo Silversong. His hair had been smoothed down with a lot of brushing yet it still seemed to fluff up at the back, he had been growing it out slowly and at the current length there wasn’t enough weight on it the straighten it out or tame the cloud like mass. Sliding the white hood of his coat off the youth stood before the door for a few moments, a small back on his back with an oversized stick and the attire he was wearing indicated Lesters intentions of going on a mission. one hand knocked at the door, the thick rapping sound was sure to rouse any tired spirits inside. "Theo, I have food! Breakfast! Waffles, muffins sweets! Lets have a picnic in your room!" In his other hand a small basket of breakfast, nestled inside was enough to feed an army, and for sure enough to feed to teenage boys. Napkins and knives, butter, jams and syrups were covered by the waffles and oversized muffins which emanated such a scent that he was already salivating. To wake up a sleeping beast one must bring a top notch breakfast, chocolate chip waffles and blueberry muffins, the chef had told Lester that he owed him a favor now, yet the ace had little clue as to what he could do to return the immense fortune of a kind chef willing to bake muffins in the early hours of dawn.

    @Lester <3 || 732/7,000 || Anything, really || Zombie

There he was, in the thick of the most intense hunt of his career. What had started out in an ancient temple of some Midas Druids had turned into so much more. There had been a rumor that some lamps had been turned to darkness leaking, muddy soup caldrons, sparking outrage and discord throughout the world. Only by finding the treasure in this ancient temple could light and sweetness be returned to the world, in addition to turning whatever he wanted into edible gold candy!

As he navigated the booby traps and maze-like turns in the cramped, stale temple, the clues and secret passages gave way to huge caverns wrought with waterfalls of glittering jam and candycane stalagmites. Brown sugar quicksand nearly cobbled him and his team of teddybears up, but a watermelon boat saved them. This was going great!

Oh no! It was always a jinx to contemplate how well something was going before reaching the actual end! As if his very thoughts summoned them, the army of literal darkness sprang from the hall he'd just squeezed through. Each demon was like a black hole or some such void-like equivalent. It was really too back, because on a broken column just yards away was the item of his dreams! Theo tried to outrun them, crying as his fuzzy helpers were scarfed up into the unknown by his attackers. His only chance was the gold and candy magic contained in....*click* a tile hidden under dirt sunk, tripping him while also bringing on the last and worst booby-trap he'd encountered yet...thousands of moss monsters! The moist, green vegetation took the shape of ostriches, using their necks like whips to split his flesh as they rushed from behind the column. Attackers from both sides. If he could just reach--

*KNOCK KNOCK* "Theo, I have food! Breakfast! Waffles, muffins sweets! Lets have a picnic in your room!"

Now dragged unwillingly out of his REM cycle, the paralyzing effects the brain puts on a body to try and eliminate thrashing about and screaming wore off, leading the poor young man to launch out of his bed and onto the floor in a tangle of limbs. Theo continued to flail wildly, screaming as if the very worst was happening until he abruptly stopped. The dream was gone.

He wasn't in the depths of a damp, musty cave, inches from the magical, giant, and golden lollipop that would make him both full of sweetness and rich. There were no demons and moss monsters gripping his legs. He was in his room. His body laid upon the rich crushed velvet rug fit for a king, which fit the room's current decor perfectly. All fabrics were in deep crimsons and violets, and all furniture was coated in gold, including his bed frame. It was elaborately carved with filigree patterns and gilded, stretched into a king-worthy size. The canopy above draped sheer red curtains down to the floor, offering the illusion of safety while snoozing away. The room was dimly lit by the tiny lights forever shining on his crown exhibit and his countless shelves of treasures and other valuables. The sight calmed him. The failing hunt had been a dream, something of a relief yet contrarily disappointing that there was probably no such treasure existing in the world.

There was no more sound from the door, so the boy very nearly went back to sleep to endure the nightmare on the off chance he'd actually succeed and acquire such a treasure, but his ever active sense of smell was picking up something. Something sweet. Driven by beastly hunger and still extremely groggy, Theo crawled forward until he reached his door, clawing upward to turn the knob and crack it open. If Lester was expecting to meet a sleepy beast eye to eye, he was about to be very surprised. Peering up at him from his animalistic position, a wrinkled and disheveled Theo grunted some sort of greeting to his friend, making a sniffing nose in the basket's direction. Apparently that was enough for admittance, since he backed up and the door opened wider. Crawling back to the soft rug, he plopped down and patted the floor near him, as good of an invitation inside as he could muster.

"It's eeaaarlllyyyy..." Theo finally whined in english, pouting a little. He enjoyed visits from his friends, but...sleep. Sleeeep. "Lester....why early? Makes sad..."

Perhaps it wouldn't draw theo out of the depths of his room, would muffins and waffles fail to rouse the zombie like creature. Yet he simply had to get the mad jello king to join him on this mission, wel perhaps he could just solo it, yet he would be boring, even if he had to bring a destructive force with him Lester was in no mood for doing it all alone. He needed someone to laugh with when everything was won. he had heard theo in the morning hours before, struggling for a breath ad ambling around crumpling into a ball, tripping over blankets and sliding across the floor. He hadn't expected the other male to instantly jump out of his bed, eyes bright and swing open the door with a smile. of course not, a smile passed across his face to hide the awkwardness of waiting with a basket of food that he wanted to eat. The soft scents of it have snatched away his thoughts had lured him into a cage, with every decision he made being based off the immediate consumption of food. food. It was as if someone had placed an orchestra around him, they played perfectly to capture every note and scent then present it forth in a flurry of emotion.

It cracked open, a great doorway into the mystical cave of a treasure hording dragon, feeling rather under bearded as if he should have been dressed as some treasure hunting dwarf. he had expected hair to be ruffled, bags under the eyes and a glare that skinned him alive to stare straight at him. Eyes peered through the small gap, looking over the small goblin which had opened the door, that was until a slight movement caught his eye causing him to look down with a sigh. Some type of snake which had half evolved to have feet, dragging itself with two front legs. Brows half raised he waved the basket, allowing more of the breakfast smells to freely roam the room and enlighten Theo. After all Les did not expect to simply be allowed into the dragons den without any sort of payment. As the goblin creature rolled back and allowed the door to widen his head dipped in thanks. Squishing into the room his eyes danced across the walls before being turned to the fluffy rug which Theo laid sprawled on. His spare hand scooping a bunch of pillows and blankets up he settled on the rug, allowing his teammate some breathing room before placing blankets around his own shoulders and settling into the cushioning softness of a pillow.

Basket carefully placed a safe distance from theo he spread out a tablecloth of protection, imbued with tiny pictures of flowers to protect the rug beneath from any harm. Not small by any means there was a pile of waffles stacked atop each other, each one was thicc and fluffy, seeming to forever hold in warmth and delicious rejuvenating love. Although there were only two of them the breakfast muffins appeared large, overflowing from their muffin cases as if some child had put too much baking soda in a plastic volcano full of vinegar during experiment time. Knives and condiments remaining in the basket he plucked up one of the muffins, neatly slicing it vertically in half and smearing the two halves in a light layer of butter. one half on a neat floral pl;ate the other in his hand and halfway to his mouth the intention of his gifts surely would have been obvious to Theo by now.

"So, sorry about the early morning start~" Finishing his mouthful with a hand pleasantly across his mouth Lester grinned a little. "After we eat you're coming on a mission with me, we're gonna do something for the magic council! Its gonna be fun." He had to say it in a way that would make Theo want to come, would it be that easy? "Basically there are these big bad guys, but they have a front which makes them look all good. So instead of taking them down straight up we have to find some dirt or something on them so we can prove they're evil baddies. But it's okay! They have like a base that we get to sneak into and stuff, we can also take trophies and treasure back if we want!" Oh, there would be so many ways to find entry, knock everyone out, steal uniforms and lie, sneaky stealthy, bribery with knitted kitten plushies.

Theo squinted at him from his prone position, enticed by the smells wafting from the basket though not much by the words coming from his perky, morning-type friend's face. Still slightly beastly, Theo sat up and observed the spread Lester had brought and set up, hunching over with the posture of a ninety year old man to claw at and gnaw on a blueberry muffin. Crumbs clung to his cheeks and lips while also falling into and onto his wrinkly shirt. His mind wandered without much direction, partially plotting how he could get back to sleep. He could just lay back down right here and slumber, leaving Lester to either wait to go on ahead. Maybe he should just crawl over and give Lester Smaug, then once he was pacified he could just snug up and they could both go back to bed and try again at a more human hour. That actually sounded nice, having the comfort of a warm body he trusted to soothe him into sweet dreams. With Lester's help, he'd get that golden lolli scepter this time, shadow demons and moss monsters or no! That wasn't how it worked, but Theo's mind was rolling with it anyway.

His posture improved greatly as Lester got to the more convincing part of his campaign. His wits as well as the light in his usually bright and attentive eyes returned with a snap. He'd saved the sweetest, bestest words for last; trophies and treasure. "Why didn't you lead with that?" Theo asked, thankfully coherent now. All his animalistic qualities melted away, revealing a sleep mussed boy thrilled with eating his favorite breakfast foods before a grand day of sneaking around with his best friend, grabbing shinies on the way out. "That sounds super fun. Do I need to bring anything?" he asked, grabbing a plate to load it with waffles smeared in butter and drizzled in warm maple syrup. Like most teenaged boys, Theo ate like the food could evaporate any second unless it was shoved down his gullet at the speed of a puppy battling siblings for kibble. "Also, you always have the best food with you. Mmmmm," he murmured through chewing.

Mulling over the words Lester had said earlier while Theo'd been plotting how to get back to sleep, his brain worked through the details. He was glad Lester asked him, but there was a part of him that worried he wasn't the right man for the job. Still, he'd roll with it. Les was a smart guy, so he had his reasons. "So, these baddies," he started after a gulp of juice. "Who and where are they?"

From what he saw Theo was not fully committed yet, but he kept speaking, simply growing a tale of treasure and dreams. Which was basically everything which Theo had wanted. Eyes carefully followed his teammate as he snatched up the muffin, a gnarled tree like hand snatching up the treat as if Lester himself would try and take it back. Yet time would awaken the true Theo from inside, banishing the sleep drained creature which sat before him as if his bones had seen decades of life. Colour returning to Theo's face his eyes return from the lifeless gray of a stormy day to the harsh summer sky. He had finished the story aspect of it, the chore now seeming to be some sort of adventure which would bring enjoyment beyond words. The last of his muffin left his hand as a few crumbs were gathered into the napkin and carefully wrapped up, deposited in the basket for later removal. It would take a moment for his stomach to settle as Lester preferred to let the food register before gorging himself any further without need. Atleast Theo seemed quite happy to take part, ”Wear quiet sneaky clothing, and if you want bring a weapon. Other than that just yourself!” His hand softly rested on Val, where the scarf-sloth was tied around his waist, he had left a small bag outside the door which would only contain some essential snacks, a picture drawn on paper, some money a sharp knife and of course his oversized stick. Despite it having a name he preferred to think of it as his oversized stick, as the whole Planetary Vitalizer MK-9,001 was not his vibe, who wanted to call their weapon 'Planetary Vitalizer MK-9,001' when you could just call it an oversized stick!

Theo had already reached into the waffles, gathering the smallest one up on a place he carefully loaded it with butter, half a slices banana and some maple syrup to warm the soul. Small sections of it were cut, stabbed and thrown in his mouth to be torn apart. Yet he managed to do it neatly despite the syrup. A grin between bites accompanied by a nod displayed his agreement at the statement. Food was wonderful. It was a great way to bond and truly a full stomach always made him feel much better. Of course the question would come. With half his waffle left Lester tossed it one sad look before wiping his fingers and mouth, cleaning away any breakfast residue with a neat napkin. ”Right, The EPPSC is a large organization, they have a good legal front and operate smoothly as every other business does. Due to their large influence the Magic Council doesn’t want to go through the front door right. So this Electric Psychedelic Pussycat Swingers Club needs to be infiltrated, we need to get in and out of their fortess without being detected, we need to find evidence of illegal activities and bring it back so that they can be prosecuted.” It would be hard, they would be abandoned if something went wrong as it wasn’t really a 100% legal job. Yet if they completed it, people would hail them, applaud them for taking down an evil organization that held the reins of the blackmarket regarding animals and valuables. ”they trade animals and things, rare ones that are protected, it would be really nice to get those cared for and freed. They also trade objects and valuables, treasures and such. We just can’t kill anyone.” He glanced at a small watch on his wrist, they had better depart soon.

"Oh, is that all?" he scoffed, devouring all the food his stomach could comfortably hold. normally he ate more than that, but all this talk of stealth made him think being so full that movement was a chore might not be the best preparation. As he raised up to put on something less sleepish, he mused over the info he'd been given. "The Electric Psychedelic Pussycat Swingers Club? Is that really their real name?" he asked, breaking into chuckles of disbelief as he pulled his usual black tracksuit over his wrinkled white shirt and coin-patterned shorts. The scarf was untied from his leg and placed at its proper place around his neck. This outfit was silent in its stretchiness, making little noise when the fabrics came into friction. He hopped across his floor to his bathroom while simultaneously pulling on his trusty brown boots over socked feet. He tumbled into his intended location after his feet got tangled, but it phased him not as he rose right back up to brush his teeth, wash his face, and tame his ebony strands.

Those poor animals and shinies! To be mistreated this way, tossed about illegally while pretending to be good. He couldn't stand for it. If Lester needed someone to endorse the cause, he'd come to the right man! He may not have the best skillset depending on the environment and other variables, but he knew how important this was. Lester would find no resistance from him.

He was now motivated, and thus busted back out of his bathroom to peer around his room for anything he might need. Himself and weapons, Lester had said? Theo rushed over to a wrapped sword leaning in a shadowed corner of his room. Reaching a hand out, he almost grabbed the hilt in his frenzied plight to get going when he hesitated. This sword...last time he'd used it, he hadn't felt like himself, and had felt terrible after. It was ravenous for blood as much as it made him ravenous for food after. That didn't seem like a good match with no-kill this mission, nor was he fond of the idea of having it on him even if the job was completely different. His features were tense as he thought it over, ultimately deciding to leave it behind. Jello magic would just have to do.

Clapping his hands together and giving them a little rub, he whirled and his eyes set on his friend, alight with energy. "This is almost as good as the quest to get the giant golden lollipop that makes edible gold candy and saves the world!" exclaimed the young man, referencing his dream as if it was a real thing. Maaaybe he wasn't all the way awake yet, but certainly enough to begin traveling. By the time they got there, he'd be in peak mental condition...as much as Theo was actually capable.

Well at least Theo had a full stomach, there was no way that a boy could eat that much and still be hungry after all, right? His own stomach was well stuffed, although not so much that it would impede on his athletic ability. Fingers brushed over the basket with care, as small bottles of jam were screwed on and knives were cleaned, cutlery wrapped in a napkin and carefully stored in the basket with the few leftover treats that remained. Uncurling from his waist Val gave a small purr, the sloth gave a slight yawn before stretching her little arms up, exposing the soft green floof that coated her stomach. He managed to give it a small rub, letting his fingers glide across his pets fur before she rolled over with a squeak, shuffling towards the basket. “Of course that's what you want.” The words accompanied by a chuckle were soft and warming, the few leftover muffin and waffle scraps were placed on a napkin before the ravenous creature to clean up. She was like a garbage bin at times, or a vacuum, just eating anything and everything. Gaze flew up as his peer questioned the odd name. Not that the title was particularly normal, perhaps he had read and heard it so many times during briefing that it had lost the touch. “Yes, it is a little odd right but the Electric Psychedelic Pussycat Swingers Club is indeed their name. Perhaps they made it like that so that on monetary documents it just looked like some sort of evening establishment.”  Leaning back with everything packed up Lester settled into the soft rug to watch the show. It slid around his neck with smooth movements as a familiar black hue started to be dragged across his body. The cute little shorts he had admired earlier were hidden from sight, which was quite a disappointment. They had entertained him the entire time, moving slightly, catching his gaze everytime he had searched for the jam pot. With everything packed away he had a moment of time to himself, yet the brief second alone as Theo wandered into the bathroom was far too long. With Val laying on her back recovering from the gouging of food he spent a few moment glancing across the area, simply surveying what sort of space his teammate liked to live in. Yet an idea laced across his mind slightly. With a stretch he stood carefully, hopping across the room with stealthy feet and sly movements he hid himself behind a cupboard, or wardrobe, it was really just an oversized wooden box. Theo of course came bustling out lunging for his sword and gathering supplies for the upcoming journey. The words Theo spoke as he spun around the room confused him slightly, yet it was Theo-speak so the translations were always terrible. In half a second he lept out, aiming to grab the other male by the waist, pick him up and spin him around. A grin drew back his lips revealing teeth which parted to reveal a soft laugh. The energy and the mood which they set off with would be important. One foot slightly twisting wrong and he threw them both onto the treasure hunters bed.

As he'd spun to look to where his friend had been earlier, his words bounced off the empty rug. Since he was still just a tiny bit out of it, it took him a full blink to realize he'd been talking to a missing person. He'd made sure to rush and get ready so he wouldn't hold anyone up. So where did Lester go-- "KYAAH!" he suddenly yowled, startled by the arms around his waist. His feet were off the ground. A spin! Oh, now they were falling! Thankfully his plushy bed was right there to catch them and avoid injury, though that had very well seemed the point. Lester had made sure to throw them both onto the mattress, which seemed counter productive to leaving, but Theo wouldn't complain. It was clear now that Lester had been hiding to ambush him, especially since the younger male was laughing now. Before he knew it, his own mouth had broken into a grin and a hearty laugh. Funny, he'd just been musing earlier when he was more asleep how much he wanted to crawl back into bed, Lester or no. He got his wish?

He knew with the importance of this mission that they couldn't stay, but his bed really was very comfortable. Worthy of a king. A second warm body in it made it just that much harder to get out of. That, and his initial flailing had tangled them a bit, confounded more as he twisted to face Lester. Somehow a sheet was already twisted around one of his legs. "I thought you left without me for a second. And you almost gave me a heart attack," Theo informed him, giving him a nudge with his elbow. Now that the aforementioned heart had slowed back to its normal pace, Theo squinted at him. "I could go back to sleep, you know. You're warm and my bed is super comfy. My dream was interesting, too. I could finish it..." the young man teased, closing his eyes and pretending to sleep as if to emphasize his point.

But no, he was feeling a little more awake and playful than that. It was his turn to ambush Lester! It couldn't be one sided. Suddenly Theo lurched up and toward the white-haired food-bringer, starting up a gentle wrestling match. Managing to pin him down, Theo donned a triumphant smirk and leered down at him. "Gotcha." If this was to set the tone for the day, this would be super fun.

The grin had been smothered across his face, Theo’s little ‘Kya’ and flailing around had been rather amusing. Whilst it was a rather odd thing to do, after planning to leave the movement of location onto the bed indeed was a little weird, however as the warm duvet and blankets on the treasure hunters resting pallet enveloped the duo a slight sigh of stress escaped him. Hair splayed across the bed as he looked over at Theo the youth listened to the raven haired male speak. ”I wouldn’t make breakfast, come in here and then just leave. It seems a little foolish.” The nudge with the elbow didn’t hurt, but it brought him back out of the drowsy mist that he had fallen into. He could go back to sleep? Warmth and a bed, with an interesting dream? A smile pulled back his teeth as he softly poked Theo’s nose with his finger. ”Don’t go back to sleep~” No no they had to go, but it was so warm. For a moment he closed his own eyes, arching his back with a sigh. The day had hardly started and he lacked energy, perhaps it would come with time. The bed moved slightly, he made little out of it thinking that the movement was unimportant. That was until a rather warm weight settled across him. Pinning him down on top of the warmth of the body and the comfy nature of the bed on either side Lester slid his eyes open, softly a smirk slid across his face as his brow raised, Got him? Escaping him the chuckle sounded light and airy. ”Indeed you’ve got me. So what will happen now~” he mused softly, letting a grin form as he tensed slightly. It took only a moment longer before the youth softly placed his hands on Theo’s waist, he hoped to softly lift the male up. Softly raising his friend above himself like a parent would their child before his hands moved to dump the male beside him. It would be nice to relax together a little. Face turning his gaze flickered to the partner whom would now be laying beside him. He had mentioned something earlier, it had sparked his interested slightly bet before being able to bring it up further Lester had been pounced on. ”You mentioned having a dream that you liked. Or well, that it was interesting.” His hand held above him wandered towards the window, making a clenching fist which although it was an overdone film trope he still found it amusing. ”Hey, tell me more about your dreams.” The dreams of a person often revealed things about them, whilst at the same time knowing Theo the dreams would be rather amusing.

The dumped Theo stretched at Lester’s side, seemingly working out any of the muscle stiffness sleep had forced upon him that he hadn’t been able to properly work out before. After a hearty shoulder pop, he relaxed back into the comfort of his cushy mattress, eyes growing distant when he returned to his dreams. It was funny. Just enough time had passed since waking that it barely lingered on the edges of his remembrance. He had to think about it intensely to draw it back up, let alone try to remember how it seemed to make sense at the time but was quite the opposite. Dreams were weird.

However, never one to deprive another of entertainment, even if it was at his expense, Theo would oblidge his friend. “Midas druids,” he said simply at first, piecing his bizarre dream back together. “I was in the temple of the midas druids to save the world. You see, some evil person turned a ton of lamps into soup cauldrons full of mud that were leaking a darkness that made everything sour and miserable. Now, I like sour. But it was waaaay too much sour. Spicy would have been more evil...either way, it was going to destroy the world. So, obviously, the most celebrated and knowledgable treasure hunter and explorer would be called in to save literally everything. Deep in these ruins, a giant golden lollipop that shoots light beams of edible golden candy was rumored to be hidden away, and it was the only answer to this threat,” continued the man, puffing out his chest in pride despite the entire scenario being nonsense. Turning his head toward Lester, those arctic hues caught the juicy watermelon ones, spurring a brash grin. “It was the most intense expedition I’d ever been on. I was given no information beforehand, since the legend was so old and the area so dangerous. The regular druids could only point me a certain direction, and with that I was left to search on my own. I almost missed the entrance to the temple because trees had taken it over, but nothing missed my watchful stare. The inside was covered in slick moss and moisture from countless rains, making the mazes and booby traps that much more trecherous. However, the further I trekked inside, the more cave-like it appeared. Soon, I realized the temple was attached to a mountain side! I knew it was getting close, because there were waterfalls of jam, candycane stalagmites, and brown sugar quicksand. It was cool.” Theo paused here, craving candy suddenly, as if he hadn’t just gorged on breafast foods leaning on the sugary side already. If only a treasure cave of candy really existed!

It was soon after that thought that he realized he’d forgotten something. “Did I mention I had a team with me? They were little treasure hunter assistant teddy bears. So cute...and pretty helpful to! The bround sugar pit almost got us all, but there was a watermelon boat that saved us so we could get to the next platform. At first it seemed like a dead end, but there was a crack in the wall at the far end. Just as my team and I squeezed through, an army of darkness came for us! It started picking off my cute little bears! I saw the giant golden lollipop on a pillar just ahead, and in a moment of desperation, I forgot to watch out for the most obvious trap. Treasure hunting 101! I pressed a tile near the pillar, unleashing a billion moss monsters. Freaky, leafy ostrich things. We were moments from death, but just as I was about to grab my prize and unleash world saving goodness, I woke up. I hope I got it...” Theo ended his epic tale in a pout, worrying over whether his dream self was able to get himself out of the pickle to save the whole world.

Midas druids? So Theo had been having a fantasy dream, druids was an interesting thing to dream about though. druids, they were soothsayers and magicians of sorts. Yet he seemed happy at the thought of this mid sleep tale. At the template of these druids he had gone to save the world from an evil person. Every so often he would nod a little or make sounds of confirmation, it was amusing to listen to the ideas that his brain came up with. So lamps had been turned into massive cauldrons full of mud. And from them there was this sort of darkness that leeched into the world turning everything evil and horrible. "so you thought of it as a taste. Sour was miserable and Spicy was evil?" perhaps Theo was one of those who mentally categorised things or equivocated them to flavours. It would be interesting to look into a little more perhaps. He wasn't a treasure hunter, so Theo didn't dream of gold and riches but of the sweetness from candies? Well it had been all of their affinity to the sugary delights that had caused the invention of the teams name, Sugar Squad. Not that it was official but the other guild members had caught on with the name and a few of them had often used it in conversation. A giant golden lollipop which shot edible golden candy out. It sounded like Theo for sure. Wriggling slightly to make the bed comfier a smile flickered across his face. The only answer to a great thread was a golden lollipop hidden away. Theo had to adventure deep into the depths of a hellish enemy cave to locate it.

That grin was what he loved, the way that his raven haired partners face lit up, such expressions and emotion displayed clear and pristine across a face. It was a beauty of its own, something which he didn't mind staring at, following the creases which spread across his face from the smile. Light and wonder, joy and adventure, little sailing ships of these emotions floated around, conveyed by the wondrous colours of ice, sea and sky blue. "Ha, it does sounds like quite the expedition. With little to no information and just your own strength to pull you through. So how did it go?" Goading words urged Theo on to speak more about it, one day he would have to write down all of his stories, perhaps a little notebook would do, just to note them all down.

regular druids? so there were multiple types of these druids in this world of his. It was almost if Theo had an entirely other world in his mind. Almost missing the entrance to the temple, then mazes and booby traps. No nope not breasts, not jiggly giant, bouncy wondrous, girls with red hair and booby bounces. Booby traps, traps, right, dangerous. A slight blush crept across his face yet he was able to cover it up with a yawn. "Food waterfalls, that sounds, really sorta nice. Jam, candy canes. ohh brown sugar. you could dip the candy canes!" Theo's dreams were so inventive, creative, unreal it was simply nice, calming. His own dreams focused on next steps in life and learning from memories. It was time to just sit back and relax, listening to the dreams and stories.

A team? "no, no you didn't mention it." A watermelon boat saved them, huh, it made sense of sorts. Moments from death, petrified and almost driven to madness, about to grab the prize and save the world. Yet Theo looked so sad! "Hey, eat this. and we can figure out the ending!" A small slice of lemon, still bitter yet coated in a sugary layer so the contrast would be welcomed by any tired mind. "So the golden lollipop was on thsi pillar right, but the monsters were released! What will you do? Are you able to climb up and get the lollipop before the monsters come, will you have to fight them up whilst climbing! Or, will you kill them all! Using your physical, magical and mental strength to overcome all the barriers!~

"Thank you." Of course Theo would accept the candied lemon, popping it into his mouth without a second thought. Letting the sweetness rush to his brain, the boy with ebony locks nodded in agreement with his friend. The story needed an ending, so he'd give it one! Closing his eyes, he let his imagination work off of what knowledge he had in the context of the dream world, offering him a vision on the backs of eyelids of where he left off, like an old film reel resuming from an old stopping point.

"Well, I was very close to getting it, but I could feel the wispy tendrils of darkness on the back of my neck. That's not including the plant monsters mere feet away, pouring out of the door right behind the pillar, which wasn't very tall, now that I think about it. One of them could peck me in the leg on the way up, and I think that would infect me with mossitis. A good leap would get me up there, but I'm pretty sure I was getting blighted or mossed wither way. Yeah, the blight was robbing me of my strength and optimism and the notion that I would ever love again. The sourness of misery was clinging to me like a dirty shirt stained with pizza grease," continued the young man, unabashed by the now waking nonsense he was fabricating. He seemed to puzzle for a second or two. "My teddy bears are dying. I've lost nine already, and I'm thinking about giving up. But how could I? I've come so far, and there are still a few left to save. Plus, the Great Treasure King can't fall here! My legacy would end in failure, a real sour note for the world to end on. Heh...sour note... Anyway, everyone is depending on me. With renewed strength, I throw myself at the sweet, glimmering scepter, clutching it as I sail over the pillar and down into the clambering mix of foes below. I'm gobbled up..." The man trailed out of blatant dramatics, pausing to build tension in his continuing story. Or...maybe he'd fallen back asleep...

"BUT THEN!" he exclaimed, eyes shooting open as an impish grin split his face, "From under the teeming baddies, hungering for the their first pounds of flesh in eons, beams of golden light escape from the cracks between. The scent of cherry cotton candy overtakes the dank cave odor just as plant and darkness alike swells as if I great wave rises from beneath. Then BOOM! The darkness demons dissolve in the saving light of the lollipop, heaps of golden candies replacing them. Next the moss monsters fall, revealing me, dressed head to toe in king's clothes fit for a hero. My crown is dazzling..." Theo reached up as if to right the imaginary crown, though clearly it wasn't there. "Now I rush forward, saving the rest of my assistants and leaving glowing gold candies in my wake. With all the evil dispatched, I make my way out of the cave the way I came, traveling the world and saving it one town at a time. The end!" the oldest sugar squad member ended his tale in a flourish, wrapped up in the moment and nearly panting for breath from the intensity.

After a few seconds to bring himself back to reality, he shot a sheepish glance at Lester, only to erupt into laughter seconds later. "Hahaha! Can you tell it has been a long time since I've went on an expedition? You probably think I've lost what little mind you thought I had. I'm so sorry!"

His dreams were always so amusing, wispy tendrils of darkness on the back of ones neck, it had almost made him shudder, the description of it relate able to when an icy droplet fell down the back of his neck during winter. But plant monsters, often the brain took what it had experienced or heard about during the day and as a method to sort though the data and understand it all everything would be processed by dreaming. At least that was his theory. But perhaps with the watermelon boat, and the plant monsters had Theo been taking in more information about the world around him?

"Mossitis you say! Oh good lords and blossoming roses that is truly a horrific thought." The sentence had been spoken with a rather outlandish accent as if to make fun of the words them self. The blight draining his optimism and ability to love, a shirt stained with pizza grease, now there was a good analogy. The way that Theo spoke was rather good, very dramatic with its pauses. Yet with everyone depending on Theo of course the icy eyed man would pull through, there was not a moment where Lester doubted his team mate. Well maybe when it came to restraint with food he doubted Theo.

Wait, gobbled up? that was no good ending for this story?  His brows drew together as fists closed around a nearby fluffy blanket, bringing it all closer to his chest. So Theo died. His watermelon boat had saved him for nothing. "But then?" It came as a shock, perhaps he should have expected it yet Theo just seemed to gain a strong electric current which spurred him on wards. Inching slightly closer his interest in the story grew, Cherry cotton candy had taken over the scents of the cave, banishing all of the horrible dark smells here. Boom! Oh was the story over already? The demons dissolved, the moss monsters died, and Theo was decked out on some rather high quality clothes. It was quite the thought though, for someone who was so commonly seen in a tracksuit it would be odd to see the scruffy man in something so detailed and overly decorated as kings garb. They would be more likely to see Lester walk down to breakfast in a potato sack.

He had been trying to keep it in, the occasional snigger sliding through teh blanket which covered his mouth yet of course, of course as soon as the volcanic Theo started to laugh he too could hold it in no longer. The dream was deep if you knew where to look, yet at the same time it was utterly obscure, mad and completely Theo. Perfection really! "No, no Theo it's okay! There is no need to apologize for it, it was a good story."

Rolling off the bed a small 'oof' escaped him before the males knees managed to sort themselves out and help him stand. However it was time that they left, a small transport ship was ready to drop them off at the mountain in stealth, all he had to do was get Theo into the transport.
"Lets go then! an adventure, a real one. We'll be saving people and helping everyone!
A smile, it was not rare, yet every time it still managed to light up lesters eyes as he smoothly aimed to clasp Theo's hand and steer him out the room. Gathering up what belongings looked vaguely important. They could not tarry any longer, for the mission was important, and as much as he adored to be snuggling with Theo and telling stories there was a time and a place for such events. Val managed to crawl out from the basket, his bag in her mouth she wrapped her paws around his leg and latched on for dear life.

It seemed like after only a short while of travels and banter, they were dropped a short distance from their destination. Close enough to not get too worn out reaching it, but far enough away to not be detected by this certain headquarters. It was cold as heck, though! And even though he had some lovely winter clothes he could have worn, it was hard to be stealthy in such bulky garb. To be honest, he was used to surviving the cold with minimal clothing, since it wasn't conducive to fitting through tight spaces or athletic movements.

Coming to the base of the fifty foot climb straight up the rocky glacier wall serving as the foundation for dark organization's hideout, Theo rubbed his hands together with a devious grin. This might be the first demonstration of his skills to his squad mate. He had told them stories of his abilities, but most of their endeavors had been flat land and combat related. Calling on the elastic-esque qualities of his magic type, he bounced high into the air, gripping onto a rocky crevice at the height of his jump with a jello glopped palm. He was about to look down and show a little cockiness while also making sure Lester was doing alright, only to find the boy sitting in the center of a giant flower, zooming safely passed him as if the petals were propellers. His grin morphed into a pout, and within seconds his other hand and both knees were also coated in sticky jello. He scrambled easily up after Lester, hoisting himself over the edge. So much for being impressive in his "element"...

This was not the time for pettiness. The security on the place seemed pretty top notch. There were guards they had to evade just to try and find an entry point. No need for any restraining or disabling yet. At first it was merely testing windows and door handles for an easy way in. The guards had keys, but that was a last resort. If they could keep as many patrollers in play as possible, there would be no instances where they were discovered as missing during shift change or scheduled check-in reports. The longer they could keep the alert level low, the better.

On a hunch, Theo pressed that he wanted to check the roof. Despite the coldness of the glacier, the view from here was lovely. Even evil people could appreciate nature, so near the top would yield more windows for the higher level people to enjoy, and hopefully a ventilation shaft or a skylight. Theo's luck paid off in full! There was both of those things up there, and with easy access, too. The screws were already loose, and it seemed like a serious oversight in security, but definitely good for the both of them. "Okay, Lester," Theo whispered, nimble fingers jiggling the window pain and the vent cover. Both holes would be big enough for them to climb through, but both lead to uncertain destinations. What if they dropped into a room full of guards and were instantly blown? The tomb raider's expertise remained in uninhabited places, so getting them both up here secretly, finding and entrance, and being the generally stealthy muscle/ backup were all he had to add to his sensitive mission. "Where should be breach? Down from the skylight or into the ventilation system?"

It had been a nice travel, yet as everything must it had to come to an end. He was not quite sure if the garmets he had chosen would do well in the weather which seemed to chill everything. Yet for sure if he needed to sneak through the shadows he could simply reverse his cape, turning white to black and the red to a dark purple he had tried the idea out once before, indeed he was growing rather fond of wearing capes and long draping coats. They had arrived at the base of the glacier with a rather sharp and harsh climbing. A small smile at theo before he pressed his hand to the ground, the jello lover would be able to make his way to the top for sure. A forget me not swirled from the ground with soft pastel blues, securing him as he sat cross legged. Soon enough the plan had grown enough and had propelled him up to the top. It was a rather helpful magic indeed.

Yet at the top he noted that Theo seemed to be rather, well a little peeved. As of late the raven haired boy had probably felt a little overshadowed. Honestly he hardly saw why though. With all of these boring fire mages running around screeching about how strong they were then fleeing someone who had managed to understand and connect with jello of all things. Well in any case it wasn't a bad magic for sure. No one expected jello and it was rather tasteful.

Not only that but it appeared that the treasure hunter had an idea in mind, signalling to the other he watched as the other scrambled onto the roof whilst he merged with a rather nice rock, teh black of his coat masking his presence. The ace was on the looking, eyes flickering wary of a clown coming to squirt its flower in his face! Well something like that, after all who really knew what sort of security this place kept. A whisper came from above, summoning him with his name. Before pouncing onto the roof after Theo he nudged Val onto his back a little better, making sure she was secured to him like some sort of backpack.

"So we can go through the vents, or a skylight. both are dangerous. Skylights aren't put in important areas, Ventilation tunnels are probably a little loud. Lets go through the Skylight."
A small root grew over the lock on the skylight so if needed they could exit from the same route, helping his team mate Lester pried the skylight open before dropping into a poorly lit room. Taking cover behind a nearby object his eyes adjusted to the low light levels, making out the shapes of long and thin desks, single seats every one the same sat in dishevelled rows. Whilst mostly empty bookcases lined three walls he noted the layout immediately.
"It looks like somewhere that a teacher would lecture, or perhaps a large scale meeting with lower class members. right? but it isn't that dusty, everything is in good shape and not broken so they must use it."
Although he could neither sense not see another being in the area Lester slips formed a tight line before he sat down cross legged to face Theo.

"So, first off are you hungry?"
The question was odd yet they were about to infiltrate an area, and a single growl of a stomach could get them caught~
"Also, we just need evidence, do you want to get paperwork, we could go to a storage room. We could get personal records, maybe someone keeps a journal in their quarters. Photos with our iLacs could work too-" he patted the slight bulge in his pocket where a thin iLac sat. It was quite the option, they could split up or go together, investigate some personal saucy areas and rifle through underwear draws. Flick through files and paperwork, gathering hard data and records of transactions or go to a storage room and capture everything that happened on camera. Maybe they could do multiple who knew.

Skylight. Good call. Before entering, at least they could see that they weren't dropping down on anyone. Not to say the entire room was empty of people, but at least they had some space to prepare if someone was there. Fortunately, the room was uninhabited, offering them a reprieve before they ventured forward. It would give him time to get his brain into an even more stealthy headspace. He had to make Lester and the Magic Council proud. Fortunately, most of his spells were pretty good for knocking out and restraining enemies without doing any fatal damage. The sponginess would help him remain silent, and with any luck maybe they'd make it in and out without encountering a single person, like proper spies! As long as he made sure to aim for the body and not the head, since jelloing a person's nose and mouth shut could suffocate them to death...

Theo's mind shifted gears from his magic to briefly wander what the purpose could be of such a room as this. It was indeed class based, or at least where people were mass informed. Was this where all the mindless grunts were given their marching orders from some poor schmuck dubbed the messenger between the lowliest and the highest who couldn't be bothered to handle their own staff? Or maybe this is where there they learned how to handle the care for their ill-gotten exotic animals. Or maybe just boring business meetings with doughnuts. He could really go for a doughnut right now...

As if reading his thoughts, Lester asked if he was hungry. Theo flinched, eyeing the boy and wondering if he should begin wearing foil hats to protect his thoughts before breaking into a light chuckle. Lester's belly was announcing its emptiness. Theo's did that often, especially after using that cursed sword. Either way, with how loud it roared, neither of them could afford their stomachs giving them away as they snuck and crept all over the building, looking for evidence of evil. "Of course I'm hungry. The waffles and muffins can only last so long," he answered, though truly it was just because they were both men with bottomless stomaches. But did that mean Lester brought food with him? Or at least sugared fruits to soothe them until they could complete their goal? Glancing all over his body, he hoped Lester had not just merely asked out of curiosity, since that would be a disappointment now.

The conversation lurched more toward the mission, prompting Theo to pull out his own iLac. It looked pretty much unused, which didn't make much sense unless Lester would notice the perplexed look on his face. The boy with the wispy onyx locks held it awkwardly, the unfamiliarity blatant. After a few moments of silence, seemingly working up his nerve, Theo sighed and held his device out at an angle where both of them could see. Despite the features having words under them, this didn't seem to help the young man. "So...which one of these things makes it take pictures?" he asked, a little ashamed. Eyes as cold as the icy rock wall they conquered scrutinized the screen, hovering on each icon in confusion. After a second, his finger inched toward one that looked a little bit like the camera the reporter for Sorcerers Magazine has used if you looked at it right, but he couldn't be sure. Despite it saying "camera" under it, it didn't matter. Theo couldn't read.

From what he saw Theo had gone into his work mode, it was a nice change, whilst he did adore the happy go lucky bouncy energetic Theo the other male often got this look in his eye, a serious streak which led to great advancements made and missions being accomplished. A soft chuckle was the first response that he got, which was likely to translate to a rough yes, of course he was hungry. The two of them were never not hungry it was just varying degrees of 'hungry' and 'starving' in some sort of spectrum that started with satisfied and ended with the world burning. As Theo's gaze started to dash all across his body, probably in hopes of spotting some concealed package. Well he only had one of those and it didn't hold the sort of meal they were thinking of.

In a dramatic motion he moved his hands to 'cover' the area where his chest was, with a dramatic 'oh' face he held the pose for a second before chuckling and pulling a couple of wrapped burrito's out. Whilst nimble fingers worked to unwrap the top of one he tossed the other to his butt brother. They were nice, barbecued chunks of chicken in rich sauce, surrounded by a loving embrace of salad. Of course with cheeses and sauce sprinkled throughout the tastes were rather exquisite. He himself had not made them of course, he was a candy maker not a five star all around chef.

With his mouth full Lester had lent back to rest, his back settling against a table, closed eyes and a mouth full of burrito he let the flavours wash over him. Whilst the treats he did have were very varied in flavour there was something about eating savoury foods, they would fill him up for the rest of the day, and having something not so sweet once in a while was a nice hint of variety.

Which one of what took pictures, did he not know how to work an iLac fully? An eye opened, the second followed its movements a moment later to fully latch onto his partner who was looking rather remorseful at his current circumstances. "Hey Theo, did you ever go to school or anything?" He made the mention in a casual matter, yet due to the confusion across the other males face there was a chance that he wasn't exactly sure of how the camera worked, or even what it was. A thought did cross his mind, he had never actually seen Theo curl up with a book, the most he had seen was him staring intently at one of his sweet cookbooks.

Theo was overjoyed at the sight of the burrito. Catching it, he wasted no time unwrapping it and shoving it in his face, forgetting his confusion over the iLac for a couple seconds. In fact, he almost dropped it while catching his food. However, as he took a bite and savored it, his expression of ecstasy was ruined by Lester's question. He wasn't stupid. A pout threatened his features. He was a little sensitive about it, so he spoke before he thought. "I did!" he answered almost indignantly, though he faltered instantly. actually, it was a valid question considering what he'd just done. "Well... more like home schooled....informal group learning, maybe? We had a teacher. I was taught to read," he tried to explain, knowing full well it was confusing.

Leaning back onto a table and returning to his burrito, he sighed lightly. To be honest it was a miracle they hadn't noticed before now. He never picked the jobs they went on from the board unless they'd read a few aloud first. "I used to be able to read," Theo said quietly, though he'd eased up about the matter. He wasn't ready to go in depth about his past here, but he decided at least clearing this up as simply as possible would make things easier later. What if they were on a mission even more important and dangerous, and he messed it up because everyone assumed he could read. "I went a little too long without oxygen, if you know what I mean." The jello mage grinned, tapping his noggin. Shouldn't be hard to believe. He'd been told he was odd before.

While that might have been the truth, it was the super diet version. Some might call it a lie of omission, but Theo wasn't keen on lying to friends, so he refused to think of it that way. Holding the iLac back up, he gave it a little shake. "This is my first one of these, so without being able to read the little titles, I have no idea how it works other than making calls. I'm okay with numbers. It's just letters that don't make sense anymore. They squiggle and scramble around. What do that call it?" he paused to wrack his brain. Oh, yeah. "Dyslexia."

Inhaling the rest of his burrito, he disposed of the wrapper and went back to examining the icons on his iLac. Learning is best by experience, right? Better get the kinks out now before they were in he heat of their mission. Poking the screen timidly over the camera looking button, he flinched when the screen changed and he now saw Lester's crotch. "A-ah... " he stammered, trying to turn it back off, but instead the shutter sound happened and it took a picture. Now there was a really nice sight frozen on his screen! "Er..." Why was it when new technology and anxiety mixed, it made everything so much worse? If only not being able to read could account for the other reasons working the small contraption was so foreign to him.

"How to...delete...?" he asked, knowing not to press the little white button that made it take the crotch picture. Trying the red button instead, he was relieved to see that there wasn't a new still and it hadn't made the shrkchk noise...but now it was counting. Why was it counting? Finally having the forethought to move it from Lester's crotch, he aimed it at Lester's face to see if that would make the numbers stop, but they kept marching on...by seconds. Turning the phone around, he looked into the lens, now showing Lester the screen with his unfocused iris taking up the screen, dutifully recording this mishap. "Lester....what is it doing? How do I make it stop? Did I set a bomb timer?!" Theo hissed, voice tense but mindfully quiet given their location.

Burritos, no matter how many times he sunk his mouth around one the plush resistance of texture that fought back against his cutting teeth was just so seductive, the way that the flavours didn't quite mingle or merge together they came in small explosions within his mouth as a new pocket of sauce or spice was unleashed. Yes this was a burrito that he liked, it was indeed. After sending a glance at his friend Lester figured that theo was having similar thoughts, the pure state of huger washing over the teenage males as their nutrition deprived bodies were replenished. Yet despite the pure wonder that sat in his hand, the rolled up burrito of grace and pure unity a saddened look twitched at Theo's face. He apparently had been educated however it was not at a school, ore of a personal tutor. Perhaps even self study. Yet with this sort of thing it would be best to let him speak, nodding slightly he showed his keen interest, settling in for a discussion.

Used to be able to read, past tense, he was a little sad, or was that disappointment that put a sag in hi back and a sigh in his voice? Yet the little too long without oxygen, Theo with a grin although felt normal, well there was something about the other males grins lately which had caused Lester to feel a slight sense of unease. Yet he just nodded, mumbling in agreement through a mouthful of burrito. It was something which he would have to note down in his notebook later, first iLac. Well it was his first as well, yet figuring it out hadn't been that hard with instructions, that being said if he couldn't read instructions. A problem with remembering how letters worked as well as dyslexia, a pity that burrito's didn't cure it otherwise Theo would have been well on his way to being cured, yet it was something that they couldn't really teach was it. Not like some reading would straighten out what went on in his brain. "Well nothing too major should happen if you press a few buttons, go on." Yet it wouldn't do to baby the male, so for the moment he would simply relax back and slowly eat the rest pf his meal, bringing up a rough image of a map on his own ilac.

A question of sorts, asked tentatively, a query of how to delete something. With a raised brow he looked up, to see the ilac rather close to his face. "Theo what-" The question left unanswered for a moment as his partner seemed to grow only more stressed, fretting over whatever had gone on with the technology. "Hey hey calm down a moment." A bomb timer, as far as he knew the iLacs didn't come with pre-programmed bombs, they were from a civilian factory after all. "No, it doesn't have a bomb timer, look here, this is counting up not down. It starts at 00:00. and then records how long its gone for. It takes videos. Like those movies and tutorials that you've seen." With a deft movement he flicked the button that halted the recording. Theo was good with remembering symbols though, right.

"So this starts and stops the video, if you click back on here it takes you to the camera, -that just takes single pictures not movement or sound. That symbol which looks like a photo frame will take you back to the gallery. So you can look at the pictures you've taken there." As he spoke the male was pointing out the various features of the ilac. Before taking them back to the home screen, so he knew how to call, messenger app wouldn't help much. "Here click on this, it looks like an adventuring torch."

He had taken control a little, nimbly opening an app that had a vague image of a torch on it, causing the iLac to emit a light from where the flash was. "So this is on or off, and this bar here with a slider changes how bright it is." he flicked it on then dragged the slider back and forth to show the other how it worked, briefly blinding himself before the brightness was banished after a hurried click of buttons.

    "Oh."

Theo calmed right down at his Butt Brother's words, proving to be a quick study as he absorbed the directions he was given. Now that he understood it more, he could see how this tool could be very useful, especially on this mission. Furthermore, his uses for it while exploring and treasure hunting would be innumerable. He could take pictures of written hints he couldn't read, and of ancient runes to be deciphered. He could effectively map every unknown area to return to later. That was way more accurate than hoping whatever markers he left would remain when he came back. He could draw maps on the go. And, oh my gosh, it had a light built in. That was helpful on its own, since the tool was helpful but often lost in the dangers of his travels. Or the batteries went dead. Or they were bulky. This sleek version would be a convenient auxiliary. His eyes lit up with revelations, though he managed to reel himself back in. "Thanks, Lester. I got it now," he grinned, trying touching the various icons he'd been shown to see it work as intended. Alright. Now he could really help.

Having wasted enough time with his technical issues, Theo turned and slunk to the door. It had a narrow window, so he stealthily ducked under it and inched up slowly until he could see that no one was in immediate sight in the hall. "It looks like the coast is clear...." he informed his partner in hushed tones, gently turning the handle on the door and opening it. He was hyper careful to avoid any creaks, proving useful in the silent department.

Poking his head and shoulders out, he peered both ways. No immediate threats still. After asking Lester which way to go since he had the most intel, Theo lead them both to the right and down the empty hall. He may be generally clumsy, but when his tomb raider mode was engaged, he was downright frighteningly silent on his feet, as if they were wrapped in fluff. That wouldn't be a too far off assumption, since there was actually a layer of squishy jello on the bottom of each foot to further dampen the sounds of already ginger steps.

Theo was worried they were creeping into a trap with the lack of guard presence, but soon that was put to rest. As they reached the end of the very long hall, they came to a fork. A quick glance revealed a guard down the left hall, guarding a heavy door. Like most guards in a usually very secure and never-before-breached compound, he was bored and daydreaming. His eyes stared unseeingly ahead, almost as if he was having a nap with eyes open. That was good for them! Theo snuck forward, inching ever closer to the unaware guard. Before he even knew he was being spied on, Theo's balled fist stuck lightning fast across a lax jaw. The guard started to crumple, but Theo caught him and eased him down quietly.

Turning to the door, he jiggled the handle. Locked. A search of the unconscious guard yielded the lowly scrub wasn't even allowed a key. So he just stood there on the off chance that someone might come and try to pick the lock? No, it had been a decision to prevent just what they were trying to do, but the onyx-haired male didn't seem worried. While he despised thieves, there was a reason for that. He'd been among them at one time in his life and he knew a few things. Reaching into his jacket pocket, he plucked out one of Rin's hair pins. Bending it appropriately, he made surprisingly quick progress with picking the lock and easing the door open, holding it to allow Lester to slink inside. "I hope this is the right room..." he hissed, keeping a lookout until he could get both his friend and the forcibly snoozing lump inside away from any watchful eyes.

Oh? So he understood, which was quite good since Lester didn’t really want to have to teach Theo how to use an iLac in the middle of some enemy base. Judging from the look spreading across his face not only had the waffle loving male understood the technology, but he had fully considered how ti would factor into his life from now on. Receiving a few words of thanks and a grin Lester returned the smile, they could truly get started now. With a possible exit route secured and both of them briefed it would perhaps be best to see the extent of Theo’s exploration knowledge. Hanging back as his partner checked out the door Lester's eyes flickered across the room once more, finding it rather sparse and lacking in any information or items that they could use. Pity, yet perhaps it was for the best that they had started off the mission in a relatively unimportant room. The coast was clear? With a nod he moved closer, "Lets go!” They had best move quickly and quietly, would they pretend they were supposed to be here? Or merge with the shadows. He was not bad at sneaking himself, yet Theo was the mage to go to for this sort of stuff. At the question he indicated to the right, although checked their backs in case someone snuck up on the sneakers. Theo seemed to be on edge, a little more than cautious he aimed to softly let his hand rest on the others arm for a moment, sending a smile of reassurance to the other. It was an important mission, yet if they got caught there would be no good way out of it, he would much prefer that they took it slow than tried to rush around the complex.

Before they started moving again he lent forward slightly, letting the pollen which clung to him spread down the hallways, Theo had gotten a look around the corner and pulled back slightly. Most likely formulating a plan but he didn't wish to stick his head out. With the floral spores landscaping a map in his mind Lesters eyes flickered to the other, a guard, relaxed luckily. Were they charismatic to talk their way past? Or had their INT not been levelled up that high. He crouched there for a moment, dwelling on possibilities until it came to his attention that his butt brother was no more. Where was that adorable little butty bro. Once more the pollen gave him the answers that his eyes could not, mouth slightly agape as he sensed the other male slinking closer to the guard. With a quick takedown the way was cleared.

    That was, clean, very clean.

Once the guard was down he crept a little closer, coming to Theo's side as he proceeded to try and unlock the door, apparently the guard didn't have it. He hoped it was the right room, eyes adjusting to the bright light he immediately moved to hide behind a crate of some sorts. It was a large room, with lights that were bright and technical, yet they had been adjusted to imitate late dusk or dawn. A small art app was brought up on his iLac, which had thankfully reduced in brightness. A vague outline of the room was sketched. Crates in rows was to the right of the door, he noticed filing cabinates and bookcases across the other side of the room. With the brief sketch outlined he put a small red dot at what looked like a small guards room in the other corner, he saw a few shadowy figures through the glass, yet they wore odd little caps as if they were in uniforms.

Beckoning Theo into the room and behind the crates he presented the layout. Motioning to the crates, paperwork area and then guards room as he spoke. "Here we have some crates, I haven't looked in them yet, there are desks, filing cabinates and bookcases over there, that red dot is some sort of guards room. We should get photo's of the animals, and if there is any important paperwork. It might be best to leave the guards alone unless we have to." He squinted a little, it wouldn't be good to start any drama needlessly.

The black-haired man dutifully followed his squad mate inside, crouching behind some crates with him. Yep, there were animals here. He could smell them easily. Probably everyone could. It smelled like a zoo, and that evidence alone was enough to rile him up. How could these people be so evil to innocent animals? His mouth pulled down into a soft frown as he peeked over their hiding spot and scanned the room. Animals in the back. Lester was right. There was a room with guards, but none of them seemed to be concerned with looking out the foggy window to keep watch.

    "I have an idea."

Usually Theo's ideas were something to be wary of, so this probably brought some unintentional stress to the white haired slayer formerly at his side. 'Formerly' because he'd already rushed off, using his jello to silently slink to the guard room's door. Since Jello wasn't known for being noisy, he stealthily erected a large, sticky blob over the door, door facing, and a bit of the surrounding wall to trap the guards inside even if they were alerted. Theo may be confident in his sneaking abilities, but he wasn't dumb enough to overestimate his ability to remain non-clumsy for too long. If something was to go wrong it would be here, especially since it'd been going to well thus far. Theo could be quite lucky, but relying on it too much usually met a bad end.

That done, he returned closer to Lester, though not all the way behind the crates. "I'll take pictures of the animals since...ah...well, I can't read the papers to know whether to take pictures of them or not," he spoke quietly, smiling a bit ruefully while he idly scratched the side of his cheek. He didn't want to get the wrong thing. The magic council would be peeved with him if that happened.

Scampering off toward the back of the very large room, cages and tanks came into view. There were probably around a hundred animals! Theo's bleeding heart ached as he looked into their sad, scared, and despondent eyes. Rhinos, apes, sharks, tigers, lions, somehow a whale, giraffes, and some creatures he didn't even recognize. It seemed they'd been too late for one, since a small cage to his left was empty. So sad. Realizing he was wasting precious time on feels, he reached into his back pocket to get his iLac...but it was gone. Feeling around on his buttcheek as if his pocket had enlarged itself just to hide his gadget, he started to feel panic. Checking all his other pockets, panic grew. It was gone. How was it gone?! He just had it and got a lesson from Lester not ten minutes ago! Surely he didn't leave it back in that briefing room! Oh no, how unprofessional of him. How could he be so careless! Lester would think he was worthless and never bring him along on anymore important jobs. The squad would devolve into hatred and chaos until it was disbanded and he was alone again! Why oh why had he misplaced such an integral part to the success of this mission?!

    Wait...

Theo paused his imagining of the worst case scenario when he sensed a small magical presence. He almost ignored it, but he wasn't Lester, so it could mean danger. A trap? He held very still, training his eyes toward the source. It was behind the whale tank. As he silently crept around, there was a flash and a shutter sound. He'd just heard that earlier....an iLac? Was there a guard back here?! Theo leapt around the corner of the tank, hands at the ready to immobilize the threat, only to find nothing there. No, not nothing. Something. Something small. And furry. And kinda...duck like, with little grabby claws. Grabby claws gripping his iLac, accidentally taking a picture much like he had. The two warm blooded beings stared at each other in surprise, blinking before they both resumed action. The black furball started to run, frantically trying to shove the technology into its pouch that Theo just noticed it had. "Hey, wait!" the young man hissed, giving chase. "Come back here with that, you little thief!" he continued to whisper in annoyance, trying to keep track of the thing. It was a...niffler. He had a stuffed one back in his room. Rin had picked it out. She'd mentioned it was a real thing, but he never thought he'd run into one in person.

The niffler initiated a desperate, cleptomanically fueled game of hide and seek. After a few minutes, Theo was finally able to sneak up behind it and grab hold, reclaiming his iLac and capturing the rude little fellow. But...what could he do with it? Putting it back in its cage seemed...evil. He'd be aiding the recapture and selling of him...well this was a fine mess! As Theo deliberated, a very pissed off niffler chomped his left hand in it's duck-bill mouth. "YA-ouch..." he'd began to yelp in pain, though he managed to quiet himself. It didn't hurt too bad, since the teeth within weren't very long. It was more like getting gripped tightly by two pieces of moist sandpaper with a heavy tooth to it... The niffler definitely wasn't letting go despite his prying, so he'd have to just go on with it.

Using one hand, he began snapping pictures like Lester had shown him of all the animals held captive, plus any other interesting posters, labels, etc he laid his eyes on that might help bring these people down. With his mission more or less accomplished, he returned to his partner's location to check on him, and also maybe get a little help with his new little buddy.

He had an idea? brows quirked as he squeezed further into the shadows, an alligator amongst mangrove roots of these pet crates lurking in wait for a moment whilst watching the world take its toll. Perhaps, under his breath the male muttered, only partially in a joking manner. "Theo you had better not have brung another distraction rabbit hidden in your pants." It felt like something the jello mage would do. Oh, well that wasn't a bad idea, keeping them locked in, a grin was flashed towards Theo as he returned. The Door had been a good idea, what further thoughts would spring from this sugar saturated brain? Theo indicating his interest to take images of the animals Lester's mind went back to earlier, Theo didn't know how to read, would that lead to him not knowing how to do math, what about any other knowledge he had? The lack of education was slightly worrying, it would only get harder as life went on, they would have more time together once all back on the ship, would there be a way that they could aid Theo in his learning? But did he want to, the situation was quite a conundrum to Lester having been fairly educated himself although only at basic school.

It was best that he just got on with the work, they were problems that they could dwell on at a later time. Feet careful he crept down the rows of desks, iLac still safe in his pocket the male took in his surroundings, smaller desks were closer to the cages, further away from the foul stench there stood proud desks, large and spacious. Ornate plush chairs sat behind them. Well it was spelt out for him what end of the room more important people sat at. Eyes closed he took a breath for a moment before weaving. A maze like compound of desks sat before him, there were wooden draws over there, everything looking so fancy for a moment he could forget the horrific treatment of beasts back where Theo was. Gazing across walnut surfaces his hands skated across the sides then the back, locating a thin ribbon, weighted from a hook with a soft grunt he unhooked it and settled back into a crouch next to the chest of drawers. It was a pretty key, if you were into rustic. Heavy and metal it sat in his hand. It could open the draws and doors around him, bookcases with locked doors were quite intriguing after all. Yet as heavy as it seemed with each lock that had its pins turned and thunked slightly indicating its new relationship status as 'unlocked' they key only grew lighter, or was it his shoulders growing lighter with the knowledge of what they were doing. Either way with swift movements he flicked through the pages, scanning a few snatches from each and those of interest placed in a separate pile. The photo album on his iLac growing even larger, each finished pile was carefully placed back, the draws being reclosed he barely left a fingerprint. Crease free every page had been returned to its proper place, the draws and door relocked. binders from the tall standing wardrobes were spun through, each page glanced at whilst the reader aimed to take in as much information as he could. Whilst there was a protective jello barrier stopping the guards from leaving their room he declined the thought of them finding out.

Back into his designated pocket the technology was safely placed, the scarf around his waist growing and tightening to hold it in place, best not let the evidence get left behind. Not a petal was left behind as he floated across the floor, almost dancing, roller blading across as petals and vines carried him back to the jello mage and his companion. Companion? A brow raised as a chuckle escaped him. Some sort of furry mole thing was attached to Theo's hand. It looked slightly familiar had he seen it somewhere. "Well I have more than enough photo's  how are you doing?" Whilst he was questioning about the progress of gathering evidence the watermelon eyes still rested firmly on the plushie attached to his hand. Plushie? No that was it! A plushie in Theo's room, some sort of treasure seeking creature, Rin had mentioned Theo was just like it. If it was attached to Theo's hand then surely it just needed something shinier than Theo. He had taken most of his jewellery and shiny things off, for stealth and bling really wouldn't go well together.

A grin formed as in his hand a tiny flower formed, the creature seemed to take interest as it shimmered then bloomed. A sugared flower, fully edible from the glistening sugar which coated its petals, who could resist a shining treat? As the mole things paw unlatched from Theo to wave at the food he gave the flower to Theo. "Take it! maybe it'll help you keep the cute little guy, who knows he might be able to help get that golden chalice." or whatever the other male had been dreaming about.

"Lolipop sceptre of gold," Theo corrected without thinking, as if it was a real thing, though he was in no way super serious. Theo was rarely super serious about anything, unless it came to his past. He had been about to just about to start slinging his hand around to try and whip the creature off his hand even if he had to surrender flesh to do so, but of course, Lester had the answer. Food. The way to any creature's heart. The glittering sugar treat caught the niffler's beady eyes immediately. Those thieving little claws reached out for it, though its flat maw was not yet ready to relinquish the appendage it had hold of. Theo took the sweet and continued to tease it, holding it just out of its grasp. "You gotta let go, allasu qalilanaan," he said quietly, tongue slipping into an old habit before he coughed as if he had just been choking. Regardless of the words, the temptation became too much, and soon the niffler opened its mouth and scrambled to Theo's other shoulder to receive his treat. "I guess I can't leave him here to be sold, can I?"

With a now behaved...no, occupied animal on his shoulder, Theo rubbed his sore hand. "I got plenty of pictures after I got my iLac back from Ali Baba here," he said absentmindedly, most of his brain function being spent on operating said gadget. Recalling what Lester had taught him, he found his picture album and started sifting through the images, making sure he'd done it right and that they were actually clear. Thankfully, they were. "Did you get what you needed? If so, we should probably go back the way we came, like we were never here. They won't even know to cover themselves before they are raided. The council will find more evidence that way, and maybe these animals will be safely returned to their homes. At least I hope so...it hurts to see them this way."

Making preparation to leave, he snuck back to the door he'd secured shut with jello and absorbed the substance back into himself, leaving nothing but the scent of lemon behind. Prince Ali continued to happily nom the sweet snack, and all seemed to be going well. The tomb raider made way for the door, cracking it open to peep out. It was still all clear. "Ready, Lester?"

Lollipop sceptre of gold, a slight chuckle left him as Lester only moved closer to the door, "Ali baba, what a name. It's cute!" It was exotic, perhaps from where his partner originated the name suited him. It suited the odd creature as well. Oh? yes the all important evidence, theo had gotten it sorted on his end, with a slight nod the youth brought out his own ilac, flicking through the images, words standing out, numbers in columns that weren't shown on normal bank statements. "Trust me, this will be enough. we can just give it all to the magic council and we've done our civic duty! Until the court case is completely over I doubt they'll tell people it was us though." He didn't want some crazy hooligan goons coming after him. he would follow Theo when it came to exiting, the tomb hunter having his own strengths. A sigh left him as they glanced around the room, letting the animals out now would only cause them harm in the long run, plus they weren't supposed to get caught. there was little point in cleaning the cages or leaving water as the magic council would raid this place as soon as the duo finished their assigned task. "Let's go, the faster we leave the faster the animals will be safe and the human animals will be in chains." The warmth of the smile lighting up his face shone to his eyes as lester crept down the hallways, him and Theo taking turns to check corners then follow around, a guard was spotted in the distance but he had entered a room. Leaving most of the pathway empty. It was strangely deserted, perhaps there was a chance that everyone of higher rank had gone away somewhere, it would explain the lax security. Even a dark organization of baddies would have some kind of security normally. The original room was there, a hand was placed against the ground,  "Theo, you go up first I'll secure the exit behind us." Almost beanstalk like a ladder of bard and greenery grew up to the skylight, hardening and strengthening into something which could hold their weight. he got a wonderful sight as he left the room, soft white snow as a background, and a fine piece of art moving up the ladder in front of him.  "Another win for the butt brothers." the comment was breathless, as he spoke it whilst clambering onto the snowy mountainside above, where all plant traces from his magic dissipated. A suited figure approaching them waved his arm towards a small aircraft close by, mentioning that they could take the images off the iLacs in there, then they would be taken back to headquarters for a small debrief. The magic council would drop them home. With a nod the two boys happily left into the plush seats of magic council transport, taking full inventory and emptying out of a small fridge onboard.
