Personality:
Porto Bello father was from Bosco and his mother was from Fiore, however, P.B. has hardly ever met his father. His father was actually doing work in Fiore, and had an afair with P.B.'s mother, despite the fact that he had a family at home. As a result, he was shamed into disappearing, and P.B. grew resentful of him. As a result of growing up with a single mother, P.B. developed an strong maturity at a young age. He has a close bond with his half sister, Jamie, who was several years older than him, and despite the situation, often visited to help with her half brother's rearing, despite her own mother's protests. Jamie taught P.B. about certain aspects of Bosco technology, and he looked up to her more than his own mother, who was absent often, due to the fact that she was working several jobs. Because of all this P.B. tends to distrust older men, but the opposite is true for women who remind him of "Jay".

Jay was both an inventor and a fighter, who worked closely with agents of the Bosco military. Her unique magic allowed her control of certain magical power sources, which allowed her to craft impressive machinery. She taught P.B. basic combat skills, but was instrumental in the boy's technological expertise. P.B. is legitimately a genius inventor, only being 17, but being capable of building machines that are on par with many of Bosco's most well trained. That being said, his recent inventions have taken a long time to produce, which is to say that he doesn't fully understand processes of efficiency, even less so the intricacies of the materials his sister brings him to work with.

P.B. is far from humble. He considers many others, in particular men, to be morons compared to himself, and would rather not "waste his time" engaging with them. Porto feels this idea particularly strongly when people don't appreciate his inventions like he wants them too. Whether in battle or conversation, P.B. is particularly self assured in his actions, not even considering he could be making mistakes unless he's talking to someone he seriously trusts.

Speaking of battle, P.B., despite his mild combat training, doesn't like to fight unless he has some sort of advantage, whether it be with weaponry or with his magic. An "honorable fight" on equal playing field is an idea which P.B. isn't interested in. So long as he has respect for someone, he is okay taking orders from them, however, he does prefer being seated in the commander's chair himself. In addition, he might straight up refuse to take orders from those he thinks lesser of, or claim that he'll take orders, but in truth operate with his own agenda. Ultimately P.B. is a strong willed individual who is extremely self-confident, and will always trust his own judgement before others. This is not to say that his judgement can't be influenced by others, but he would never trust someone else's "gut," and would only do so if given data or logic.

Likes:
•  His sister, Jay:
Jay practically raised P.B., and so, understandably, she is the person he feels the strongest attachment to.
•  Machinery:
P.B. loves to experiment with technology and the sort, and honestly would rather spend time working on his inventions than engaging with other sapient beings.
•  Fashion:
P.B. likes to look good, simple as that. Of note, he has a collection of "Cars" brand shoes, and refuses to wear any other brand.

Dislikes:
•  "Morons":
Due to his high arrogance concerning his intelligence, P.B. describes individuals or groups he has distaste for as "morons," and thinks interacting with such entities as a waste of time.
•  His father:
His absent father is somewhat of a sore subject for the young mage, and he resents his father strongly for leaving both his family and Jamie's family.
•  Being Bothered:
A relative loner, when his personal time is interrupted, whether he's working, reading, or just thinking, he can become extremely irate.

Motivations:
•  Recognition:
Above all else, P.B. wants others to appreciate his genius. As a result, he likes to peddle his wares, and attempts to get those around him interested in his work.
•  Seeking Out His Father:
Dear old dad's absence has left a sour taste in his mouth, and P.B. always is keeping an eye out for people who match the description Jaime gave him.
•  Furthering His Genius:
Although he is proud of his mental faculties, as well as his mechanisms, he always thinks there's room for improvement. Whether through reading or research, he's always aiming for self improvement.

Fears:
•  Death:
P.B., like most people, fears dying, but in particular, he fears dying before he has the chance to make his greatest work.
•  Bugs:
Creepy crawlies are a no go for P.B.. If possible, he'd like to stay far away from bugs, be they six-legged or eight-legged or even more.
•  Clowns:
As a generally serious person, one might not be surprised to hear the P.B. doesn't like clowns. Actually, he is coulrophobic. The sight of a clown will send shivers down his spine.

In terms of build, P.B. is relatively skinny, although he sports defined lean muscles under his clothes. When he's in his workshop, he wears loose fitting pants and a simple white t-shirt, which usually ends up stained with oil. He has two signature looks in public, one of which is his black jacket and his signature checked pants. His other look is more casual, with him instead choosing to don an open jacket with a t-shirt, but his pants remain. He keeps his hands covered in red gloves to cover his calloused hands. When operating as part of the WFTC, his jacket is white, and the checks on his pants are lined in black. In addition, he has a pair of white gloves to go with the outfit. Despite his tendency to dress nicely, he wears strictly "Cars" brand canvas shoes, and has a full collection of them in various colors and patterns. Supposedly they are popular in certain youth circles in Bosco, and he gets them sent form his sister. His thick, black-framed glasses are cosmetic.
