Having grown up in a somewhat strict household, Kaede is a little more conservative in her behavior and views than other people are. In her world, there is little (if any) room for failure, and if she did fail in a task, it would be her duty to try and try again until she succeeded. Anything else would be deemed unfitting and unbecoming of a Whitestreak. Due to the discipline that her parents exerted on her, Kaede is quite diligent and hardworking, and does not question authority as others would. She's also one of those people who believe that in order to get something, one has to go out there and try to obtain it instead of just sitting around, hoping that it will come around on its own. Being a realist, she's also very level-headed, and prefers to reason things out rather than to rely on her gut instinct. However, since she's been traveling on her own for the past five years, Kaede has learned to trust her internal instincts more but has yet to figure out how to balance what her brain is telling her to do and what her gut wants her to do.

As a child, she would constantly compare herself to her older brother, whom she had admired yet hated in the way only younger siblings could. In turn, she became secretive not just about her past, but about herself and her magic as well. In addition to her tendency of secrecy, Kaede prefers to be alone most of the time. She's not used to showing nor receiving any form of physical affection, and so may seem detached at times. However, once friended, Kaede becomes a fierce and loyal friend, and will stand with the people she loves or likes the most till the very end.
Being alone for the past five years, Kaede has learned how to be adaptable and to not complain about any hardships that come to her. She also pays close attention to details, as she knows that even the smallest of details could be crucial in any situation. Despite being independent and seemingly cold and uncaring at times, Kaede can actually be quite sympathizing, empathizing, and compassionate of others, and secretly cares about what people think of her. Growing up, Kaede's parents had someone teach her and her brother how to fight and helped them to specialize in separate weapons. While her brother chose the spear, Kaede found herself drawn to the dagger. Due to her small stature, many underestimate her. She's okay with that though, as it gives her the opportunity to throw her opppnent off-guard. At the beginning of a solo battle, Kaede likes to start out by sending a simple and small illusion or a wave of pain at her opponent. As the battle progresses, she may send illusion after illusion and imagined pain again and again, intending to mentally break her opponent until they can barely stand as well as to tire them out. When battling people who don't follow her plan, she simply tries to adapt to their style the best she can. In a tag or team battle, Kaede mainly just supports the group by casting illusions and false pain upon their opponents. Kaede only leads when she thinks that it is absolutely necessary to, so one would rarely see her in the position. Her no-nonsense, sincere, and subtly confident attitude makes people listen to her, and she knows how to keep order and discipline thanks to her childhood experiences. When being a team member and not leader though, Kaede only says things she thinks would help, and is an all-round reliable team mate.

Whenever she needs to calm down or think about something serious, Kaede likes to sit down on a bench, set up her materials, and sculpt. She loves using a special kind of purple clay, and most often makes animals or plants.

Kaede is a huge fan of music, no matter its type or origin. When she thinks that no one is looking, she turns up the music in her room and just dances.
- Reading
Kaede inherited her love for books and knowledge from her parents, who were scholars. She likes to read anything from historic novels to biographies- name it, and she won't hesitate to check it out. However, in recent years, Kaede hasn't been reading as much due to her travelling and new membership in Enternum.

About five years ago, Kaede's family was killed by members of a dark guild, leaving her homeless and an orphan. Thus, she hates dark mages and guilds with a passion, though she hides her hatred under a mask.

Kaede is a natural introvert, so she doesn't really like crowds in general and feels most comfortable one-on-one. Parties aren't really her thing either.
- Arrogance:
If there's anything that ticks her off, it's arrogance. She can't stand ass-hats who believe themselves to be the best and boast about it, and is more than willing to give someone a smack-down if she thinks they need it.

She is always seen with her necklace on, which features a dark red tear-shaped pendant that rests on her collarbone.
