The night air was nice and cool. Black dress shoes quietly moved along the ground, ice blue skinned hands firmly holding onto a glass serving tray. It was an experiment he decided to try with his perfected white root and some color compounds he had made for and used on the glass while it was being made in different parts. The moonlight was something the young looking old man required to find out if it worked. In a time where most were likely longing for some sweet time in their bed, Omaras was rushing along to find a good spot to look everything over. It was found in a spot not too far from the docks. the nocturnal eyes looked to the items, a smile on his lips begun as soon as they were held low enough to gaze at. the dyes and the pearl and salt he had ground to a fine dust had worked perfectly. The painted design of water and fish shimmered with a marvelous brilliance in the dim light. It had to be in a dim light to test it, it wouldn't look nearly as breath taking at day, nor without any light to make it shimmer. Like this? It was almost like the rippling water design and koi fish painted on them were dimly glowing with life. "It came out perfectly, I'm so glad. Now I can re create this very effect, or try to make other affects like this." It made him happy, knowing that he could do things like this. It was silly, but there was a certain pride he took in making teapots, teacups, and other sorts of items. It was one he had forgotten about but rediscovered in the guild.

Re: Imperfections(social/closed)
Rasparov was simply walking through Tolgalen, walking along the water's edge near the docks, and thinking about the things he had been told by his creator before he had killed him with his own hands. He was likely the last of his kind, a newer creation being made for a different purpose, but he had no other information about them. The being would be able to kill any of them should they get in his way, but there was no telling how many facilities there were and such so he needed to just forget about it until he was sure he could eliminate them all in one fell swoop. He would devour their souls and gain the powers of the demons and angels that were used in their creation. He would become apex, and only the gods themselves would be able to stop him at that point.
As he wandered closer to the docks he would see another standing there, Rasparov's inhuman eyesight allowing him to see clearly even in the dim moonlight, seeming to be holding up some kind of object. It seemed to be a teapot or something, but he would be unsure as to what it was until he got a bit closer. All he knew was that it was sparkling in the light, which was quite intriguing. A moment later it would be clear that it really was a teapot. "You there, with the sparkling teapot. What are you doing out here so late?" Rasparov would ask, his polite voice quite easy to hear and understand in the cool night air, as he looked over the person to glean more information about them. What he did see, what bothered him the most, were the horns that looked horrid to his eyes. Those needed to be dealt with, they were ugly and should not be able to be seen let alone worn.

Re: Imperfections(social/closed)
Haraka looked over, taking a step towards the person. He had a gentle smile on his face and had on his west fiore trading company uniform on. Why? Likely had forgotten to change out of it while working. When focused on doing something it was just all too easy to forget about everything else. His own voice spoke with a quiet gentle softness, but in a night like this? It was certainly more than quiet enough to hear his words as clear as a bell. "Sorry, I just wanted to look over something I made. It's a full tea set, even with something to hold cream. I made it using a kind of plant based glass that comes from my home country. When you make it wrong the glass needs to be thick to avoid breaking, but when you do it right? I could drop this entire tea set and nothing would break. I've been experimenting with the kinds of colors and materials I could use to color it and... I wanted to make something that would look best in the moonlight. It really didn't feel like I could fully test if it worked unless I held it in the moonlight." Ah! Wait! He was so rude! His excitement gave way to a bit of embarrassment, his expression starting to wind down a bit.
Omaras didn't know that getting excited over something like this in a sense showed his age a bit, an old master craftsman gaining satisfaction from a job well done. "Sorry for the outburst, I became so excited that I started to act rather impolite. My name is Haraka Omaras." But it would be a lie if he were to say that the looks at his horns. Why or what kinds of looks wasn't something he could tell though, not from a stranger. One thing he did know? Horns were not common, he did not look common. Should he knowledge it? No, not yet. It might just be curiosity, they had just met. Neither even knew each others names yet. Still, maybe it would be good to say something? This place was peaceful, but he knew full well that some would only smile as long as they knew you were 'safe'. Some even call it being 'tamed' when it came to certain demons. "I'm half giant deep sea mantis shrimp demon and half ice dragon, but very tame in personality. I work at the guilds hospital nearby." That eased up the fears he had briefly let bubble up.

Re: Imperfections(social/closed)
The creature he had spoken to went off into a rant over what he was doing and why. A simple answer would have been fine, but this one gave the whole story. How dull, it was not like he really wanted to know the whole reason, just why one wanted to be out so late at night. A simple answer of 'just testing something to make sure it worked' was all that had been needed in response to his question. Once the rant was done the person, who was quite clearly in the company as well, would introduce himself before talking about what he was. A hospital worker for the company that was a demon? He also had what had to be one of the dumbest mixtures of demon and dragon type that one could imagine. He was a shrimp demon and dragon hybrid, and with horns that were uglier than any sin that he was upon this world when the gods looked upon it.
"Ah, I see. I am Rasparov Kimovich, the swordsman butler for the company. You likely have seen me with the aces and guild master when I am not busy with plans within my office." Rasparov would only give his company side to others, never revealing the Onyx Moon portions to even the most trusted being on the planet. He had a duty, and that duty allowed him to do parts of his plans within plans that he made. There really was no reason for them to discuss anything right now. It was late, it was dark, and neither really had a good reason for being outside too much longer than what they had already been out for. There was just one thing he needed to do before he parted ways with this person; break off those horns. Surely they would appreciate it later in life, not having the hideous things on their head, and he would clearly explain it after he had done so. First, he needed to get closer so he could grab them. "If you don't mind, would it be okay if you let me have a closer look at that set? I do enjoy tea once in a while and something like that would be nice to have in the future." As soon as the boy came to him with it he would simply break off the horns, making sure the tea set did not break or shatter as it fell and then would explain why he had done it. It would likely hurt, but all good things in life came with a little bit of pain.

Re: Imperfections(social/closed)
"It's a pleasure to meet you mister Kimovich." The half demon thought for a bit. Had he seen them around? Occasionally and briefly, though they had never spoken or interacted together in much of any way until this point. This did help to ease away the paranoid fears that had briefly ebbed back. Why had it ebbed? Even after knowing what he was, the person kept looking. They were both in the same guild, so it shouldn't be assumed this person would be like those who had tried to kill him in the past for the 'better' of the world. "I have seen you around on occasion, I am sure you are quite an impressive person with such a title." That line was carried with honesty. Swordsman butler to the CEOS? He could never imagine being near the strength of the leaders. Maybe he was over thinking it like he over thought so much? Then there was the question about his tea set. Did he mind? "Oh, not at all. If you enjoy it than perhaps I could make you a set with a design of your choice." The politeness that had been pushed into him though thousands of years of serving people preserved over any hesitation that may have been inside of himself.
That and the trust he had started to get for the person were the reasons he walked over and started to be less bothered by the looks to his horns. Haraka had no idea that the horns was this persons real objective. It was a part of his body most didn't even think to question its origin, let alone its shape. They were deformed due to a lack of proper nutrition when his mother was pregnant. It was something he himself had long since accepted, never thinking to question if it was really healthy that they were that way. The fact was that it wasn't, that's why almost no relative he had met on his grandmothers side had horns like that in life. The one that did had been born sickly. Their specific type of ice dragons from their country used the horns to help keep the unborn healthy. Without them their bodies were less likely to produce any sort of healthy children, if they were born at all. It was actually something important to have properly formed, it was something important to have for him if he ever wanted to have children in the future.

Re: Imperfections(social/closed)
Pleasantries, that was what he got in return for introducing himself in kind. "Oh, I am simply a butler at heart, one that is simply perfect at his job when it comes down to it. There's nothing impressive with the title, I just do my job and do it as well as needed whether they like it or not." It seemed that this boy was also going to be okay with showing him the set up close, which was exactly what he had been hoping for. "Ah, excellent!" Even as Haraka walked towards him Rasparov would do the same. The confident being showed no sign of what he was about to do, and surely it would come as a surprise to this iced seafood creature as well.
The moment the creature got within reach, and no sooner, did Rasparov go into action. An upward swing with his hands would knock the tea set straight up into the air even as he went for the horns with each hand. Rasparov was the Leviathan Slayer, a creature filled to the brim with pride, and he could not allow such a terrible image to be allowed. "These are hideous, I can not allow such to remain on you or another. This will hurt immensely." The evil smile looked out of place with the otherwise happy-to-serve look he had on his face as he gripped hard and quickly tore the horns from their spot they had grown on. Blood poured out as skin broke, nerves and blood vessels being severed as he quickly pulled after breaking them. The horns would be cast down, not even worthy as trophies for a hunter, as he quickly dried his hands if any blood with a cloth before catching the tea set.
Setting the set down, carefully placing it away from any possible bleeding the now better-looking creature would cause, Rasparov would speak up again. "The bleeding will stop, you will live. The defect has been removed. Whether it grows back better, or not at all, is unclear. But at least you won't have to see those in the mirror ever again." The butler would simply stand there, looking down at the being to see if he understood the good he had actually done, even if he had not done it for a good reason.

Re: Imperfections(social/closed)
One moment he had been in front of Kimovich, the next moment? The tea set was out of his hands and a blinding pain had struck through. His eyes had widened, mouth briefly gaping, but there was no actual sound. This was more painful than anything done in the half of a year of constant torture he had as a child. It hurt more than any of the events of the distant past that weren't always the most friendly. Somehow it even hurt more than the sensation of his soul repairing itself. Cool blood flowed out of the new wounds, and reality started returning. The pain was still seething like a cold flame that refused to submit, but reality doesn't stop for things like that. His eyes returned to normal, his mouth closing back up. Before any sort of rage could start to build up, there was Rasparovs words. That's why he removed them? It wasn't just because they were ugly. This man actually noticed they were defective? "You're the first person in thousands of years to even realize these were defective." His quiet voice was full of shock more than anything else. This person surprised him too much for him to find anger, at least at the moment. Oh! the bleeding... He should probably take care of that. "How did you notice?"
Did this person have a fair amount of medical knowledge? Enough to be able to tell if horns were deformed? Like strange shaping, odd curling. "They were defected due to poor nutrition before birth, but my grandmother made it sound like having horns was very important. She died before I was of age to tell more so.. that's all I have on importance." What should he do? Well, first he tried to focus. Healing was important, a doctor should not normally need their own doctor. This pain felt like needles ripping with a firey vengeance, but the need to try to heal was still there. This was how he mentally poked himself enough into trying to focus enough for a spell. With fires help, he created a bit of fire essence. The essence was of the healing nature, shaped and looking much like a bun. So he started eating the healing item, all focus on magic dropping. The pain was even too much to allow him what was normally a wonderful flavor, at least at the beginning. The pain started to slowly fade as a tingling sensation started to move through.. something? Though even after he finished eating the fire essence, some pain lingered. At the least there was no more bleeding. As a bonus? Newer, bigger, better, and healthier horns were now attached to his head.

Re: Imperfections(social/closed)
How had he known they were defective? Well, first of all, they had been ugly! No creature was meant to have horns that could turn away the others they were trying to swoon! There was also the fact that they had been so oddly shaped, unnaturally so, and thus there was really no need to think about it to realize it. He had simply done it to remove the eyesore from his own vision, but now he had a thankful being due to the seemingly instant regeneration of proper horns after he had done his painful deed to this person.
Not wanting to openly admit to being the bad guy here, Rasparov would easily talk out of his ass in a matter-of-fact way. "It's simple, really, to know that they were defective. Any species with horns grow them in quite similar ways, but none looked like the ones you had grown. They simply were not what a mate of the same species would look for. The ones now, however, are something out of a physiology book, so it should be better for you now. Now, if you do not mind, I am going to finish my walk and head back to my room. Good luck in the future, Haraka, and if we meet again I hope it will be pleasant." With that done he would do a slight, proper, bow before walking off. Once away, and his face unable to be seen, the being would scowl at the empty area in front of him. This play-acting as a friendly gentleman really was berating at times.

Re: Imperfections(social/closed)
The mind was still clouded and confused with pain, the sensation that swept away the flavors that should be in his mouth, at least some amount of lingering. The taste of a bit of fire essence was supposed to be something spicy and strong. Something different was flooding the young looking old mans mind at the moment, pieces that fell into place. Haraka didn't need all his memories to realize how horrifying that butler really was. That near stranger had removed horns that the doctor had thought impossible to remove. Not only that, but in a clean, calculated, and quick way. That person was so much of a perfectionist that.. they probably knew instantly that they were wrong, he didn't need to know they were defective to know they were wrong. That in itself was terrifying. Deep sapphire iris's looked to the glass sea set, white dragon irises starting to become visible in the cold night air. He was too scared to speak a farewell, eyes looking to the person and hand giving a slight wave as the other left. It was impossible to hide the fear, no matter how much Omaras smiled. The expression twitched a bit, his body shivering. 'Did he plan to do it even before he knew my name?' Thinking about it just made him more afraid. Part of him wanted to leave the tea set and run back, but would that be wise? They were both part of the same guild. This person had proven their dedication to perfection without even trying. Did he really want to slip up any further near this person?
This was why when the other seemed far away enough, he leaned down and picked up the tea set from the ground. The fact that it was so clean made things even more chilling. "Not a drop of blood anywhere..." 'He could kill someone and clean up the mess before they get a chance to scream.' The thought bubbled up without his permission. Eyes looked back at the tea set again before the mixed blood finally started walking again. Haraka tried to look at least a little calm, but in the end? The walking had slowly sped into a run. He couldn't get back home fast enough. The footsteps stopped only when his door had been unlocked, the home entered, and door closed again. Their cold heart was pained from its sped racing. "He... not a bit of remorse, none. He was... he was pleased with the results. He was glad." What exactly could he tell others? That was a thought. Rasparov had caused unbearable pain that still pounded so horribly, new pain the mixed blood never wanted to experience ever again, ever. At the same time, if his horns had really improved... then he would basically be reporting that the man helped him! The shaking from his body was more intense now that a certain person wasn't in sight. It was the most intense physical pain the man had ever experienced and the only proof he had of it... was improved health and blood in his hair. "That... I... should go... take a shower and... get to bed."
