Re: Taint the Waters (job w/Khorne)
There was a green haired, elfish, youth sitting among the pews of one of the churches here in Clover Town. He was wearing a black and green mandarin collared long robe, and seeming like he was praying. No one would really be able to tell if he was actually praying in this church, or if he was using this sacred space to pray to another deity, but he was there all the same, not causing any trouble for the time being. His long hair was let loose and covering his face like a green veil while his head was bowed during his mutterings of prayer. "And this church will end up like that of the one I grew up in, in Iceberg... doomed for the rest of eternity, and red from the paintings..." He said, just a bit louder than the rest of his mutterings. He opened his eyes and slowly looked up. There were a few people around him. All of them members of the church, so this sounded like it might be fun.
Earlier, back at the guild, the young mage had offered his guild master to join him on this mission after he happened to stumble on the news of the two churches. They were off branches of the church he had once grew up in back in his homeland. Of course he still had resentment about it. That place had been his hell all fifteen years he grew up in it. He wanted to taint the holy waters of a couple churches here in Clover Town. To him, it sounded like it would be something fun to do, especially if they had no witnesses present to spill to anyone, especially to that of the Magic Council. He also figured him talking to the guild master, could get him on their good side. This could also prove as a way for the young mage to show off his magic to the man who leads him. Prove he was a bit stronger than he actually looked. Honestly, he was surprised he got into this guild. But their thirst for blood seemed to resonate with him rather well. A grin was on his face as he was itching to go and grab his instruments, but he didn't want to too soon. There was a time and place. He looked up at the ceiling of the church, relishing in the light for just a little bit. "Oh... the acoustics... they'd be divine..." He mutters to himself.
The mage had gone off ahead of the guild master, not wanting to waste a second to get there. Baird wanted to set his aqua green eyes on at least one of the two churches. The walls were all too familiar to him, and they simply made him scowl as he was remembering every little detail down to scratches on the walls where similar things happened to him. The only good thing about the churches, was that he found his love of music there, and excelled to the point he was able to detach himself from the church. As soon as the guild master showed up, that was when the party would begin for him. He wasn't quite sure what he wanted to use to taint the waters... maybe spit in it... but it didn't sound good enough. Maybe he should have gotten a couple vials of poison to taint the waters with. Poison the church members and goers to let them all die quicker. He kind of hoped the other church was just like the inside of this one too.

Re: Taint the Waters (job w/Khorne)
The day so far had taken an interesting turn of events. What had originally just been a planned walk through the guild hall of Nightmare had resulted in him agreeing to go on a task with one of the newer members of the guild. Baird Yuzill had asked him if he would go with him to a couple churches and kill the members as well as taint the holy water that they kept inside. It was clear the boy had some kind of grudge against them, and Chaoris had no issues with him going about the way of murder to settle a grudge. It almost seemed to be one of honor, though he did not know this man's past and would not delve into his mind without permission first, so he had no qualms with going along if only to see what he could do. That had been earlier that he was asked, and now that it was near the time that he was asked to show up he would simply appear through a portal from his realm to show up outside and in front of the entrance to the church he could feel his guild member inside.
Clad fully in his battle armor the god of blood would hold a weapon in each hand, both Blood Fang and The Bloody Lance, as he walked into the place. A few gasps would come from mouths that saw the imposing figure enter, a six foot six combatant in a church was nothing to shrug off, that allowed his presence to be felt within the entire church. It would not be long before Baird noticed him either, which was why he spoke up in a booming, gravelly, voice that would seem to sweep over the whole church because of the acoustics it was set up for. "It is time. Your church's sins against me and those that follow me have come to surface, and the debt must be paid in blood." Most that followed the religions on this planet believed in pacifism, something that went wholly against the concepts that Chaoris Orneis was the god of, and that meant what he said was true. These people would die as sinners in his eyes, and then he would taint the holy water of their church by putting in a drop of his blood. It would hold his power, his energy, and any who drank it would be gifted the blessings or curse that they deserved at that point in time.

Re: Taint the Waters (job w/Khorne)
Baird was humming quietly to himself as he looked around the church. He wasn't hiding his face anymore, letting his guild mark on his left cheek, under his eye, show as bright as day to the world. A grin was on his face as he spotted the armor-clad guild master walking in the church. He let a chuckle escape his lips as he spoke, scaring the members of the church who were currently present. Slowly, he clapped to him. "Beautifully said. I was fearing you wouldn't show up. Guess I got here way too early. I was just going to sneak up and do this, but announcing this sounds all the more better." He chuckles lowly as he stands up to his full extent from the pew he had been in. He was only a couple inches shorter than Chaoris, which was honestly surprising to Baird. He hadn't really met many people as tall as him. Baird makes his way over to the man, and grins a bit. Of course he was able to tell that there were eyes on him now, but he simply ignored them as he closes his own for a minute. He was listening around him. A perk of being able to play music well, he heard the tiniest details.
"Would you happen to have anything to put into the water? I got a bit excited and wanted to rush in here." He chuckle. He then clears his throat as he holds his hand out to the side. "Guitar of the Earth." He says as an axe like guitar formed in his hand and he proceeds to put it over his shoulders as soon as it's there. The axe guitar had a skull with three spikes on its head on the opposite side of the blade, and there seemed to be a grassy design on the broad side of the blade and head stock of the guitar. "It seems like whatever we do, we're going to be spotted, doesn't it? I want to test the acoustics in here though. They should be sweet." He says while turning around to face the alter. It may have been night, but there was a decent amount of people in the church already. He spotted a couple priests in training, and a couple priests with four alter boys with them each at the front of the church. He had no doubt that the head priest was just out in a back room somewhere behind the alter. And maybe a few more alter boys or priests that he couldn't see. His eyes glance around the area for a moment, spotting a few pots of plants, and he grins a bit to them.
"Hope you don't mind loud noises..." He chuckles before he quickly brings his hand down upon the guitar to make it give off rather angry sounds as he grins. The noise was a rather loud screeching noise before he starts to walk down the isle a bit. He didn't seem to be wanting to wait on getting to the water first, and wanted people out of the way immediately. He grins as the dirt from the plants sitting around the church sprout a new green plant, and it was growing rather rapidly. It wouldn't take long for one to notice that they were snaking vines that acted nearly like snakes as they quickly went after the two priests in training stabbing them in the legs and arms as Baird made his way down the isle. The vines weren't removing themselves from their bodies, at first, seeming like they were trying to wring them as they twisted from side to side, before viciously tearing themselves from the bodies of them. "Oh... They weren't fun..." He grumbles before he has two of the vines quickly go through the priests in trainings hearts before the vines begun to retreat back into the pots whence they came.
He noticed that the priests had created a barrier around themselves and their respective alter boys, and it simply made Baird snort at how the boys seemed to brave up behind the barrier, as if they hadn't been scared just a minute ago. The musician glances over his shoulder to see if Chaoris would like to join in on the fun before he let out anything else on these creeps.

Re: Taint the Waters (job w/Khorne)
Would this little mission be any fun for a God to do? It seemed like every one of the people inside this church were all really weak seeming when he looked at them. Even a glance into their very souls showed them to be weak in faith as they looked back at the armored figure that now stood in the same building as them. Normally he would simply just slaughter everyone that was in here, but that would mean he had done the job that Baird had simply asked him to join him for. Why have all the fun when he was simply here to help make sure their task went as planned. Yes, he would simply wait until there was something more challenging for him to do, or until Baird needed a bit more help in completing his task.
Speaking of Baird, the man would compliment what he has said even though it was not how the other man had planned for it to happen before they began their mission here. After the compliment, he would ask Chaoris if he had something to add to the water to taint it because he had gotten ahead of himself instead of planning that part out before coming out here. "We have all we need to taint their 'holy' water within me here. I am the God of Blood, what better thing to taint the liquid they think divine than the blood of my own realm?" His voice would show how good the acoustics really were yet again, and then Baird would begin playing the guitar that had been summoned. The comment about hoping Chaoris did not mind loud noises almost drew a full laugh out of the God of War. Why would he mind loud noises? Why would someone at home in the midst of every battle in existence at the same time be afraid of a guitar playing at an ear piercing level? The being Baird was saying it to was used to the sounds of full pitched war, while standing in the midst of it. What was a little bit of loud screeching in comparison to that?
The god would watch the battle unfold before him. He took in each tiny detail of the fight to see what Baird could do, as well as those they were up against. The priests proved to be of no consequence, dying so easily to a simple attack that should not have proven an issue for anyone that was ready for combat, and everyone else in the room seem scared until they had a shield to protect them. A glance over the should from Baird would give Chaoris the feeling that he was being inquired in if he wanted to join him in the fighting. He really did not want to fight just yet, but he would pull his gun up and shoot a few times into the shield so that it quickly failed. It came as a surprise to the priest that had erected it, he thought that his shield was impervious to their attacks because of how holy it was. It must have shaken his faith, but that was not his concern. "Go ahead and kill them all. If there starts to be too many too fast I will partake in the slaughter as well." The words would still come across clearly, even above any noise being made. Maybe he should set up a larger style of this setup so that he could have battles in such a place in his realm. It would be glorious to have such a thing.

Re: Taint the Waters (job w/Khorne)
At hearing that the guild master was the God of War, Baird seemed to get even more excited over this, especially when he proposed using his own blood to taint the waters. "That sounds lovely! I suppose I'll leave that up to you then." He had chuckled before he summoned his guitar. Yes, he enjoyed hearing the acoustics with Chaoris' voice here in this church, but it wouldn't be too much fun in his opinion if he didn't play his own music in their too. Some songs sounded better reverberating than others. The song he had just played though, it sounded beautiful in the ears of the musician. He wished he could play more, but he knew his magic's limits. He would need to stretch his magic some more to see what he could do. He then grins as Chaoris had taken care of the shields the priests put up for themselves and the alter boys. Now they seemed like they could be easier prey to him.
He reaches his hand up and unhooks the guitar from the straps that held it onto him, and he simply grins a crooked grin as he steps forward a bit. The boys, along with the priests, seem to prepare spells that caused their hands to start glowing a bit. "Shit..." Baird was actually cackling over this, rather than seeming like he was upset that they were all looking like they'd attack him near all at once. Like he'd let them get him easily. He holds the axe low behind him as he quickly runs up to them when they each fire off beams of light at him. He managed to nimbly dodge the light, except from the alter boys skinned his left shoulder, ripping his robes, in which he scoffed over since he would have to replace it. He had noticed that the alter boys little light beams weaker, they were probably new to their magic. The priests were just a tad stronger, but he betted to himself that he could still deal with the trouble from them. He runs right at them, and swings his axe a couple times at two of the alter boys that were closer to him, catching a third in his arm and holding the axe close to his shoulder. This stopped the priests and other alter boys dead in their tracks for a moment as they look a bit fearful for the boy. Of course they wouldn't dare hurt their own, or so Baird thought till one of the two priests raised their hand to fire their magic at him.
Baird grits his teeth as he let the alter boy be used as a shield before he quickly drops him and jumps after the priest, managing to get the axe to clip him before he's smacked with the other Priests Holy Light Beam magic thing. He had heard Chaoris over the noise, and grunts to himself as that light beam had sent him back a bit. He gets up with a grunt, using his axe to help him up. His grin from earlier, seemed to have grown even wider now. "That... hurt a little." He giggles as he lets his eyes look over at the priest before him. His pupils were contracted, showing how 'wild' he was as he grins enough to show his teeth to them all. The boys seem to be a bit scared once again as he comes running after them and throws his arm out with the axe. He managed to catch one of the priests and his last alter boy, causing the rest to huddle together behind their priest once again.
"C'mon piggies, lets play." Baird taunts as he manages to use his axe to hook on a chair and pull it to him before he threw it at the priest while he was shooting another holy light. That brief distraction caused him to dodge the light again and was right up to the priest to lop off his head before he went after the alter boys. When he realized that all four of the boys weren't moving, Baird pouts a little, finally calming down from that bit of a fight. Those beams of light had him scared for a moment. "Huh... I feel there should be more..." He says as he pushes his hair back behind his ear. He holds onto his guitar as he glances over to the bowl that held what the church considered 'holy water'. He snickers and motions to it. "Care to bless it now? Or after the high priest comes?" He tilts his head and grins as he was hearing the footsteps of the high priest and a couple of other priests coming from a room in the back of the church.

Re: Taint the Waters (job w/Khorne)
This was all way too easy even with Chaoris barely playing a part in the matter. Was this church really that weak? Was this religion that Baird despised enough to assault really have this little of a resistance to put up against those that would rise up against them? It was sad, really, that a group would have such a low amount of faithful inside of a building that held a liquid that they called holy. For the warrior god, it was blood and skulls that were the holy symbols. It was not any special blood or skull so for him there was no real desecration in a physical aspect. No, for him it was the mental and spiritual desecration that angered him. How were these priests such pathetic weakling that a simple mage with a magical musical instrument was able to defeat them without issue? There even seemed to be some kind of magic dampening field that they were under and still, they were slaughtered as if they were nothing but one-ply tissue paper against a mighty giant.
Once he had taken out the shields that the church members had erected Baird had gone straight to work. An ample charge would be made against the group that began to fire beams of holy light at him, none of them even aimed at Chaoris as he stood there in his full battle armor and both of his weapons. He was simply here to watch, they knew that at this point, and was only going to force them to fight against Baird until there was something that could pull the berserker god to actually put some effort into a fight. So far there had been none worthy, these people here were just too weak to even matter to him. They were almost extraordinary with how ordinary they were, and it almost made him feel bad had they not actually tried to fight. Alas, it was Baird that had a bone to pick with them. It was a fight of honor and he would not interfere unless the boy was in grave danger, of which he was most definitely not. Why would he help when it was clear who the victor would be? There would soon be others to fight if he was lucky, and thus he would watch as this group was slaughtered before walking up to the holy water that was the goal of this trip. Baird would ask if he wanted to bless it now, or after the high priest showed up. "We will wait, why spoil such an event and do it in secret?"
It would not take long for the priest to get there, and when he had seen what was going on he was clearly shaken over it. Even as Chaoris moved an open hand over the holy water and let out a stream of blood to fill the grail up to the top he would begin speaking. "You have tainted our holy water, demon! You both will pay for your trespasses here! If not by me, then by the Rune Knights that I have called to our aid!" The man would prepare to fight as the blood god stepped back, clearly giving Baird the obvious fight on his own. There was a good few of them, but he was sure Baird could handle all of it without any help. Chaoris would wait for the regiment to show up and fight them. It would not be a good fight for Baird, though he was sure the guy would know when to leave anyway so he had no worries about him dying.

Re: Taint the Waters (job w/Khorne)
When the guild master had said they'd wait, Baird chuckled while leaning against the wall while still holding his axe like guitar in front of him. "I have a feeling they were having a meeting here... so that other church is empty, or only has the head priest there." He snorts while rolling his eyes a bit. He was actually rather impatient now. He wanted to get rid of the priest right then and there and go after the other church. But he knew he could wait on the other priest to come out from the back room to witness Chaoris' demonstration.
He heard the high priest coming, with a couple priests, just a few minutes before they came bursting through the door. As soon as they did, Baird had a grin on his face. He kicked up his guitar, and was now holding it in his hand to go after them. With them distracted by Chaoris by their precious holy water, Baird was able to come up right behind them, and swung out his axe, decapitating one of the priests as he grins. He had given a quick nod to Chaoris when he noticed he was giving this to him as well. "I think you're sorely mistaken. We're blessing your waters." He says in a rather calm voice. He couldn't help but cackle again as he quickly went to smack at the other one. The high priest had let up a growl as he fired off one of his holy light beams, and Baird managed to dodge it by bending over backwards. That light beam was a bit too close for comfort though. He quickly was able to do a handstand after pushing himself off of the ground with his feet, then flips onto his feet once again while he continued to hold onto his axe. "Sir... I'm not in a good mood right now after that..." Despite his words, his grin was returning to his face as his pupils contracted once again.
The priests had taken a step back from the look of this man before him. He seemed to have no fear to their magic, and simply coming at them again. The priest had put up a shield and Baird growled as he was quickly using his axe to smash at the shield. It pissed him off. After the fourth swing, the shield had smashed to bits, and Baird swung his axe once again, getting the head priest at an awkward angle that went from the right side of his neck, down to his left armpit, cutting him in half. Immediately, he turned on the other priest. He flipped his axe and jabbed the headstock into the priests chest, laughing as he did so. He quickly lifts the axe up and brought the headstock down on the priests head, which caused him to fall to the ground, before Baird let the blade down on the neck, letting it sit on the ground for a moment before he yanks it off the ground and lets the guitar go back to it's storage place.
"Whew... That was fun... lets go have some fun at the next place? Eh?" He grins to Chaoris before he glances to the rows of benches. He then chuckles to himself as he quickly runs to them and jumps up to run across the top of the backs of the seats. He was well aware that this was something rather childish, but he had always wanted to do it at least once in the church, and this was the only time a priest wouldn't yell at him to not do so. He had jumped off of the last bench and kicked open the doors to the church, a bit disappointed when he didn't see any Rune Knights. "Blah! Guess I'll go check out that other church instead." He grumbles to himself as he puts his hands behind his head. He pauses for a minute, and perks his ear up. He then turns his head. "Hey! Wanna have a race to see who can get to the other church the fastest?" He questions rather loudly while he was already jogging backwards. He didn't care if he was being noisy, no one else was outside right now. He also thought it would be a great night to go for a run. He didn't wait for Chaoris to answer him before he quickly turns around, and is laughing as he was sprinting to the other building. He was confident in himself as he had to have a good stamina to hold his instruments sometimes, as well as for his dancing he does, even with his music.
It didn't take him long to show up at the other church, and he scoffs at the similarity to the other one it already had while taking a quick breather to get his breath back. Literally all these churches were the same. Down to the color of the nails and cement for the bricks. He grumbles to himself as he listens outside again. He was hearing a group of people coming towards the church, but they were a distant distance away. Might as well take care of the priest in the meantime. He grabs both the handles to the double doors, and yanks them open so he can walk in with a grin on his face. "I'm heeeeere!" He shouts rather loudly in a sing-song voice, hearing it echo off of the ceiling. He laughs as he loved hearing it. He looks up ahead at the head priest and two priests with him. "Hey guys! How are you? You know there's some maniacs loose in the city? I would think you'd be hiding in the back or something?" He says as he walks on up the isle. His steps were rather fast and quick. "I'm kinda glad you're out in the open though. Makes my life soooo much easier!" He grins as the priests could see that he seemed a bit off.
He reached his hand out, as if he were to grab something. "Requiem of Angels..." He says in an alluring voice before a rather large scythe appeared in it. It had a wicked curve in the handle, and the blade itself was nearly half the length of the staff that held it. At the other end of the blade looks like an angel wing and like it's trying to balance the blade out. Before the priests could say anything, Baird growls and charges at them and lets the scythe swing around at them. He managed to run after them fast enough that his weapon was inside as the barrier was erected. That was a bad choice on the priests part, and he had been able to swing his weapon all the way around in there before yanking it and cutting all three of them clean in half. "Jeeeeeeeez!" He shouts in annoyance. They didn't seem to be any fun, then again, if the high priest had shot his holy light at him, he was sure he would have been hanging on by a thread and luck for a bit. He moves to sit on the steps of the alter, right next to the bowl of holy water. He grabs one of the priests robes and begun to clean off the blade of his scythe.

Re: Taint the Waters (job w/Khorne)
The impatience from Baird was to be expected. He was ready for a fight and the ones coming to fight them had taken a bit longer than was necessary to get to them. Once they had arrived the fight would be on, not that it would be that eventful. The sheer surprise of what Chaoris was doing gave Baird a chance to kill one of the priests while they were unprepared to defend themselves, the man being decapitated before he even actually knew what was going on. The others would try to defend themselves, Chaoris simply watching in silence as the rest of the group was killed over the course of the next minute or so. Once that was done, Baird would show his impatience as he asked to race to the next church before running across the pews to get to the front of the church. The god of blood had no need to do such a race, and thus did not participate, and would instead make his way to the next church at a normal walking pace. His normal stride allowed him to get there just a little bit after the other boy made it there.
Upon entering the building he would catch the tail end of the killing of those that had been inside, which was not that many in the end. "Seems the people of this church and whatever god they follow and raise praise and worship to were too weak to be able to deal with just you alone. Not a good thing at all, it will shake the faith of all that serve this god and will put this god on the defensive when it comes to the realm of deities." Chaoris would speak as he walked up to where Baird was cleaning off his musical weapon before dropping his own holy blood into the holy water that was in this chapel as well. "Once you are done cleaning your weapon I would suggest making your way to safety. I am sure the Rune Knights will be here shortly, and they will be looking to deal with someone like me rather than you. You could fight, die, and be reborn under the guild hall if you wish but I do not fault you for leaving now that your objective here is complete. I can handle them all and I could use something amusing to do." With that spoken the god would finally prepare himself to fight as he walked out of the church and in the direction that he could feel the most powerful concentration of people. After a few minutes of the sprint he had begun to do he would find himself charging directly into a small group of Rune Knights that had been sent out to check on the situation. The first few stood no chance as he cut cleanly through armor, flesh, and bone with swift strikes of blood fang even as his gun shot through a couple of the others and exploded to leave chunks of the men and woman that had been coming to find out if the rumors of him being in Clover Town had really been true.
He could not blame the rest for not really putting up a good fight against him. They had likely thought it was a false report of his appearance, given his recent appearances in places like Era and Peace Village, and this they had been unprepared for a real fight so soon. This group was the reconnaissance, others probably farther back, and he would simply just cleave through them and make his way back to his realm. The others would not come to stop him once these ones were dead, there would be no more reports from within Clover Town so they would know his rampage had already been completed. Another town hit, another reason to know his name and those that followed him. All of Fiore would soon know of him as the God of War, none denying it if they were smart, and soon he would be able to simply appear and people would begin fighting just to try and sate whatever appetite they thought he might have at that point in time. It would be amusing, even if they were wrong at the time, so he would never stop someone from fighting. Once he had slaughtered the ones that were in this detachment he would simply open a portal back to his own realm and make his way to the center of the place. There he would find his throne, a massive brass throne with skulls all around, where he would take his place upon it. The size he was in this realm, and the way he looked, was infinitely different than what people saw in the physical realm. Here he was a titan, in the throne center of his realm, and the massive throne was easily filled by the god even as the seething hatred and anger that funneled out from him and into the area caused the seat to radiate heat that many would feel if they moved too close. From here he would go back to focusing on everything that was going on within his realm as well as the rest of the mortal realm. People fought, killed, shed blood, and did other things that were part of what he was meant for. There were untold more that did not, though they would all soon know who he was and what he was meant for. The God of War was growing stronger, and soon none would be able to deny him for what he really was.
