- On the surface, Silver is an easygoing guy who really just wants to adventure to never discover places and flirt with anybody who will reciprocate. These personality traits are not a lie at all, ever since coming back to Fiore Silver had re-found his love for adventure! His flirty ways are also true, he loves hitting on people, going on dates, and more~! The only issues are the cases where people want more, which Silver isn’t ready for right now. Unfortunately, some people get really upset at this… Yes, a fear of commitment is a negative trait of Silver, that’s for sure. Due to being cheated in the past Silver is iffy on being unquestionably loyal to others, and like a cat takes quite a while for him to come around and even then, being a bit aloof with those around him (with a few notable exceptions). Not that he’s eager to betray those around him, mostly since he hates traitors. But this only when it comes to attachment, otherwise Silver is a guy who loves to be friendly with others even when he isn’t hitting on them. Chatting and having a good time with others is something he loves to do, so it’s actually easy to hide his iffy-ness on dependency. He is also a notable sword and battle fanatic (though he tries to downplay his bloodlust) and enjoys discussing fighting styles and sparring with others. So really, if you don’t want to look closer (and Silvers prefers if you don’t) then what you see is a playboy party swordsman who also just happens to like an adventure. Hardly someone to stand out as a mage.
But the look beneath the surface of this man starts when you find out that his right arm, leg and eye are artificial, well hidden by very good cybertronics. His discomfort around the subject, how he lost them and why he hides it, is rather evident. As someone who prides himself as a master swordsman losing his sword arm definitely injured his pride and confidence, mostly since his distrust of his cybernetic arms means he has to re-learn swordsmanship with his left arm. There is also the fact those who remember him from before he left Fiore noted he was a lot stronger than when he left, and his arrogance in battle when challenging opponents far stronger than himself can also be seen as him being used to being a lot stronger. But a depth to him that is less dark and mysterious is his secret love for the arts, drawing, music and cooking, that he doesn’t easily share with others (unless he’s singing ballads to a love interest). He is also actually very observant and inquisitive, loving to investigate mysteries and poke at people’s secrets. He can also be very pragmatic and practical when solving problems. And despite his array of quirks and negative traits Silver is a generally heroic person, willing to go out of his way to help those in need and protective of those he actually likes. Just don’t think about betraying his trust, Silver does not take that well…
Likes:
- Flirting/Romance: Unabashedly so, really. This can be considered his main character trait since even when he isn’t flirting, he sounds flirty. He loves flirting with most people he meets, as long as their legal and single. He loves going out on dates as well, and yes, the sex, but most of the time he really just likes to flirt.
- Swords: Silver first and foremost considers himself a swordmaster and will go gaga over nice-looking swords, and sword-wielding styles, though he will never buy a new sword or learn a new style since he likes what he has
- Cooking: Surprisingly not to help pick people up, though that’s a bonus~! Silver just genuinely enjoying cooking and trying out new dishes to cook. He also is very fond of making the dishes look appetizing and adding garnishes
- Fighting: While he’s a bit embarrassed by this due to his past, Silver is actually a bit of a blood knight who relishes a good fight and a challenging opponent, whether he wins or loses
- Drawing: Another skill he has that’s surprisingly not to pick people up. Mostly since the thing he’s best at drawing is landscapes and buildings, rather than people
- Adventure: While this was once a long-lost dream, Silver is recently re-realizing his love to travelling to see new places, meeting interesting people and discovering new things
- Investigating: Silver tends to also hide this, but he’s a nosy guy who very curious and hates unsolved mysteries. He is overall very nosy at times and loves discovering previously unknown facts, mostly if it’s from his work
- Music: This is used to pick people up, but also because he genuinely likes it. Silver is VERY proud of his super sexy singing voice, and he can easily play most string instruments and a bit of piano
Dislikes:
- Traitors: Or being deceived in general. He’s had enough of these kinds of people in his life and is unlikely to forgive anyone who betrays, though his level of bitterness depends on the level of betrayal
- Missing limbs: His to be specific, mostly as a swordmaster. Not only is he often in pain from them, losing his limbs was a bad experience and no matter how well made, but he’ll also never trust his robotic limbs to be as good as his real ones
- Poetry: Despite being a rather romantic man Silver actually has a great dislike for poetry. It’s just really not his type of literature!
- Authoritarianism: He hates forces that take away a great amount of personal freedom and demands total obedience
- Unsolvable mysteries: While Silver does not believe these really exist, mysteries HE can’t solve gets on his nerves like nothing else, an itch he can’t scratch
- Military types: He doesn’t like uptight military people about as much as he likes the idea of the military. They tend to easily get on his nerves
- Godly beings: Gods, devils, whatever, anything on a power trip on that level and a god complex is on Silver's bad side. He’s learned his lesson
Motivations:
- Work up to his old skill level: Silver used to be a powerful wizard, but even made him lose not only that magic power but also several of his limbs and he wants to regain his skills and confidence
- Flirt with lots of people: Of course! Silver loves going on dates~!
- Get rid of his stalker: There’s been some mysterious being appearing before him recently, and he really wants to get rid of them
- Revenge: The loss of his magic and limbs was no accident and Silver wants revenge. Though avoiding the issues altogether is more important right now to him…
Fears:
- Young children and babies: They're just so small and delicate and hard to understand!! Silver automatically starting going into a cold sweat when interacting with children and might have a heart attack if he is ever forced to hold a baby
- Angry ex’s: For obvious reasons. Mostly one ex in particular…
- Monogamy: For some reason sticking to one person has always been hard for Silver and he likes the freedom of having several partners. It would take a special person (and probably therapy) for him to get over this. (also this sound waaay better than ‘afraid of giving his heart away’…)
- Losing more of himself: Both physically and mentally. He’s already lost so much of both
- People getting involved in his personal issues: He’s fine, really! He does not need to talk about anything! He just wants to flirt, don’t get involved in his personal issues!
