what was it like to love him? it's like hearing every goodbye ever said to me - said all at once.
    intro/ the template scrolls/ ello beautiful people/ it's raining
On the sixth day of this particular month, Miss Sinclair attends to her routine in high hopes. While a pleasant morning wasn't anything new for the girl, there'd been a giddiness unbidden within her for many long nights...it was near impossible to control the impulsive, quiet smiles, or the minute skips that lined her steps. And for what it was worth, Aerith finds herself considering today an invaluable milestone - she'd be joining a guild of her own volition.

"Look at our girl, all dolled up early in the morning~" cooed a voice. The warm, motherly tones of each word was an unsurprising feature for the figure that scooted closer.

"Eloise?" she tipped her head one way, confused, "Is it alright for you to be up and about?"

A contained yawned barely evaded the route it took out the summon's lips as she stretched, most of her ordinarily novel clothing stripped down to a light green nightgown, the laces a reminiscent of a flower garden. "It's not my cup of tea to be up before the robins are, but I heard you clamoring all the way from the Otherworld~"

The minstrel fashions a doubting face, but it doesn't hold for longer than a few seconds before Miss Sinclair resumes the task of braiding her hair. Each motion is meticulous as a pair of blue irises focus on the reflection on the unadorned boudoir, gently enough so each strand is tight and clean. Behind her, Eloise bounded to and fro across her small room, observing the shelves of books and her writing desk off to one corner. Was there much curiosity to be found in this room? As impressive as the Petite Maison's structure proved to be, their lodgings were man-made. The house wasn't at all grand, but it was homely, and that mattered most for the blonde. Still, at times she pondered if there was a necessity to decorate, or at the very least replace the creaking floorboards and the seemingly centuries old furniture pieces.

"Let me help you with that hun." said Eloise, "I'll fix you up a do that'll wow a pair of eyes even from miles away~"

Aerith spared the summon a fond, if not adoring smile, fingers working to end the braid she started on with a flourish. Once satisfied, she'd beckon for the brunette lady in a voice small and gentle - befitting for the morning mood where the sun only just began to touch the horizon.

"I'll be counting on you, then."

From the mirror, the summon's smile radiates a vitality that was unbecoming of the truth that she, Eloise, had been dead for decades on ends. It's strange to think how easily she's bounced back into her pseudo-humanity as if she'd never spent a single day as a forgotten soul. The brunette skipped on two...three steps before she managed to tangle her lithe fingers into the untouched portion of Aerith's hair.

"Been a while since I've done this for someone other than myself." the summon started, deftly layering each strand as she spoke, "I've always wanted a little sister, heehee, this makes little ol' me happier than a queen bee in a full nest~"

As per her protocol, Miss Sinclair knew better than questioning the Exalted about their history, unless they themselves chose to do so. None of them were to be part of their pact should they have lived fulfilling times. Every soul here, every warrior drawn and called upon by the Oaths are existences that warrant pity no matter whom you ask. Life had not been kind to them, and neither had Death. In a sense, even these instances of brief exchange between her and summons played a vital role in her lending them even the slightest moment of relief.

"You'd make a fantastic sibling, Eloise."

A giggle - "Then it wouldn't be much of a stretch to actually consider me one?"

    "Eh?"

Aerith swiveled around in her seat to face the brunette properly, finding that her tone hardly betrayed her expectant, as if teasing expression. Behind her, the mirror reflected both her buns styled into place - impressive for the time the summon spent on it. Was this a conversation Eloise desired for so much? The minstrel seems largely confused, though it didn't need much mulling on her part, if not for her self-proclaimed responsibility for her spirits' happiness.

"...If that's what you want." she said, "I'll...consider you a big sister, then."

As if the spirit couldn't get any more jovial than she originally was, what she'd been told sends Eloise restlessly twirling around the room, a palpable glee oozing from her person. "I'M A BIG SISTER AAAAAAAHHHHHH~!!!!"

'I guess the morning isn't as quiet anymore.' she thought, visibly amused by the display.

    - - - -

Given her pleasant morning, Miss Sinclair found it difficult to blend into the somber tones of the following afternoon. For beyond the safety of her Petite Maison was, conversely, a world dripping wet with rain. Any morsel of sunshine dimmed under the loom of nimbus clouds for as long as the lady walked, a blue parasol cradled between her fingers.

"Hnn, the fog's thick today." she whispered.

Perhaps it was her own shortcoming to come unprepared for what were to follow that morning. It surely couldn't have been Eloise's meddling, and Miss Sinclair was well aware that she didn't even have the heart to blame her otherwise. But far less trivial than the state of the weather was what to become of her search for the appropriate guild - dense as the fog looked to be, what alarmed the lady was the visible lack of any other soul but her's. Where'd everyone hurry off to? As per her travel experience, Rose Garden was not a city of few people, but a busy...very busy place.

Credible as her travelling memoirs were, Rose Garden was also not a city that would go further than its current territory.

"Huh...?" a pair of boots yield unexpectedly, "Did this road always go on like this?"

The pavement that should have cut abruptly into an open field was now entirely lined in polished cobblestone, much unlike the Rose Garden in her memories. With her curiosities piqued, Miss Sinclair bothers not to ask the important questions that any rational person would've took the time to think of; instead, she walks along this new road, something completely illogical telling her that this decision lead to an outcome much desired.

Then the lady stops, pauses and gasps.

"A town...!" she said, albeit breathless. It never occurred to her that there'd be a place like this out on the outskirts of a major city...such an pretty little neighborhood wouldn't go unseen, especially so when her eyes caught wind of the tiny pin-pricks of light off to one side, things that seemed to twinkle in-tune to the melody of an instrument she'd ought to know - its tone sweet and beckoning.

Wasting no time, Miss Sinclair sprinted towards the establishment, crossing streets and finding herself enclosed between unfamiliar walls and a condensed audience, the crowds thickening at her every turn. Even as she'd located the performer, her figure were to be stationed way into the furthest row of people, making it nigh impossible to spare even the slightest glimpse of the musician.

"Oh, well." her face tightens, however fleetingly, "Regardless, it's a lovely song."

The journey there wasn't one in vain however. If at all, the lady was made aware of where the other portion of the Rose Garden residents flew off to, taking refuge here as if enchanted. Nevertheless, here was an area that Miss Sinclair knew very little off...perhaps it'd do some good to ask around.

"Excuse me?" her voice lightly probes at the presence closest to her, "Can I ask what the name of this town is?"

As per usual when they docked, the shifting of the ship woke Theo from his slumber. He spent a little time as a mindless beast rummaging around, barely awake and even less aware of what he was doing. At least this time he didn't rush out of his room in his pajamas with his shoes on the wrong feet. Thankfully his wits slowly filtered in like the emulated sunbeams through his guild lodging's programmed window, and Theo ultimately became a productive member of society.

Awake Theo was a stark departure from slumber Theo. The dark, listless monster barely capable of speech transformed beautifully into a energetic, bounding young man full of laughs and wonder. He all but skipped down for breakfast, where he put away waffles and muffins into the endless void that was his stomach. Did he like being solitary this morning? Not at all. The jello mage was generally a social creature, preferring the company of his squad mates...or anyone, really. But it seemed there was no one he knew to be found, so into his pockets went his hands and thus began his stroll hopefully into Rose Garden. There was a lovely restaurant there that still owed him a meal and some fantastic wine..

But would Theo actually get off the ship? He always made a valiant effort every time, but almost always got hung up on the way out. The guild was getting new members every time it landed, and a lot of the time he turned tour guide. When that wasn't the case, all the artisans that flocked to the streets to display their skills and draw in paying customers stole his interest. He was really very easily distracted, especially by shiny things, which there was a plethora of seemingly in every street bend. In this case one of the Crystal Swan musicians was playing their reverse pied piper's song to draw in the nearby townspeople, and the melody gripped his heart in a strange way. He paused at the back of the crowd just to listen, closing his eyes and letting the lilting tones tickle his ears. It was only a few moments, but soon there were polite words to his left. Cracking his eyes open, he turned his glacier hues to the blond, offering her a bright grin.

"It's Crystalli. And it's a city...on a ship. A ship that flies!" responded the enthusiastic male. Turning more fully, he offered a hand to the stranger, whom he hoped wouldn't be one for long. "I'm Theo Silversong. I'm a member of Crystal Swan. Welcome to our base," he added, remembering his manners this time. Sometimes he forgot to offer his name, leading to confusion later. "Were you wanting to...oh my god, that brooch is so glittery. Emerald?" And there was the derail. How could he not notice the shiny at her neck?

Though it has been a while since Grubnard and his family had arrived here and so much has happen, they still get lost on this massive ship. Grub, Snowy, Ursa and Min were all looking at new clothing for Min and Ursa but due to Ursa's body, it was a bit hard to find clothing that didn't rip every time she puts it on. Ursa, Snowy and Min seprated from Grubnard to look at somethings while Grub gets some new alchemy bottles, Snowy being the energetic one slams right into someone. Ursa and Min followed, when Snowy saw who it was her eyes brighten, it was a very pretty woman. Min went behind Snowy and just stared at the person, it looked very cute from someone else point of view, Ursa just stood there, then Snowy said,"You're very pretty miss."

    CRYSTAL SWAN
    ELVIRA ARCADE

    0000 wordstagged
Elvira glanced around her at the crowd that had gathered; she couldn't help but posture; giving the assembly of onlookers a sparkling wink with her golden eyes before turning back to the awed merchant standing inside his modest stall and setting the violin in her hands back down.

"So?" She asked with a smirk, her Minstrel accent slightly more prominent than usual. She took another sip from the bottle X726 Rose Garden wine she'd been nursing all day, having abandoned the glass hours ago and glared at the diminutive peddler.

"W-well when I said that, it was m-more of a joke..." He stammered, staring at all the people her performance had gathered.

    "A bet's a bet." She sternly replied.

"Ugh, fine." He said with a heavy sigh. "50% off and that's all you're getting!"

She took a moment to relish her triumph before paying the man his jewels and collecting the violin in one hand while holding the bottle in the other. The young woman sauntered off once the crowd finally started dispersing; her mood turning to one of displeasure as the attention faded. She hated that song, it was just like all the other songs; it disturbed her that no one else could see that.

As the small sea of humanity in the little market washed away, she noticed Theo, Snowy, and some of the rest of that self-contained bundle of ridiculousness speaking with a well-dressed woman with pale blonde hair and sea-blue eyes. The woman carried herself with an air of subdued grace: Her feet were planted in such a way that suggested dancer or fencer and, although Elvira was too deep into the wine bottle to calculate an exact percentage, the chances the woman wanted something from the guild seemed high. She let out an exasperated sigh as she watched Theo excitedly speaking about something that was undoubtedly totally unrelated to the topic at hand while Snowy tugged at the woman's clothes --probably trying to recruit her as another surrogate mother. She was sorely tempted to once again skirt this interaction but, she didn't see Lester around; without his calming presence she wasn't sure how this would go. Besides, she thought, the woman was rather attractive...

Elvira thrust the mostly empty wine bottle into the hands of a passing boy who looked very confused. Before he could say anything she shooed him off with a wave of her hand and wandered into a nearby alley, exiting from a completely unconnected doorway behind Theo.

She reached around and cupped her hand gently over Theo's mouth as he started talking excitedly about the woman's jewelry, then smiled pleasantly at the new arrival.

"Hello! Welcome to the Crystalli: City in the clouds and home to the illustrious Crystal Swan wizards guild. This is Theo Silverschl..." She coughed for a moment. "Silversong and that adorable and completely out of control child is Snowy. My name is Elvira, what's yours? Can we offer you directions somewhere?"

    "Mmmph?!"

The silenced Theo blinked his arctic eyes a few times, processing that there was a hand over his mouth, and eventually that it belonged to Elvira. The implications weren't over his head, so his usually relaxed brows tugged down into a tense furrow, almost offended that she thought he was incapable of trying to cut through the circus of Crystal Swan folk to properly help this young lady. He'd been able to help her when she joined, hadn't he? "Mmph mmmnmmmpphmph mmmhmhmmhhhmhph mmmphhh!" (I already introduced myself!) he cried in defiance, huffing out an exasperated snort seconds later.

Wrapped up a half thought out reaction, his tongue flicked from his mouth to tickle her palm as much as possible, the remaining parts of his face visible around the hand appearing intensely devious. Was it childish, something lending itself more to Snowy than a grown man? Most definitely. But...it was the risk one took when rudely clamping a mouth closed. He was only doing what any normal person would do, especially when trying to find out more about something important! That brooch and its shininess and worth were paramount!

Oh, and finding out if she wanted to join Crystal Swan was important too, obviously. He was getting back to that! Geez!

Elvira giggled, once, twice...she did her best to maintain a straight face as the childish treasure hunter endeavored to break her cool with an assault of repeated licks. Her eyebrows twitched and she finally gave in, sliding her arm down around his lanky shoulders.

"Oh I'm sorry, I didn't realize Theo had already introduced himself. Ha ha, silly of me." She said, tugging the frost-eyed boy tighter into an affectionate hug; one that would convince all but the most astute observer that she wasn't trying to choke him. She was actually fond of the boy: He was quite endearing in many ways, much like his pink-haired companion, but it was too fun to try and goad him.

As her body worked to physically overpower the jello mage, her eyes took in the full depth of the woman in front of her. She was wearing awfully old fashioned clothing; it seemed to suit her however --adding to her rustic charm. The girl had grace but, there was something else too, something she was trying to keep hidden from a pair of wizards and a little girl no doubt making her feel incredibly uncomfortable at the moment.

Deciding she'd punished Theo enough she relented before he did something truly outrageous, giving him a sideways stare before smiling brightly at the girl opposite them and waiting for her to continue.

Snowy looked at Elvira and said,"VIVI, look. I got a sister, her name is Min, isn't she cute like me." Min looked at Elvira from behind looking like a shy kitten looking in from the next room. Meanwhile Ursa grabbed the hands of the lady with strange arms and Ursa showed her arms to her, then walks over to Theo, patting his head. Due to how her hands are design, her pats felt like being hit with a morningstar mace with a strong force behind it. Show then pulled Ursa to Elvira and said,"And this is Ursa, isn't she pretty like you, Papa like her though papa looks strange with that pretty necklace on, i still love papa no matter how he looks" Ursa looked like a more mature version of Min with a single horn in the middle of her forehead.
