Vhesira nervously awaited the arrival of her driving instructor as she gripped the steering wheel in front of her. She had to admit, she'd been somewhat dreading this. She had heard that certain driving instructors were absolute nightmares to deal with, and she was uncertain enough about this situation as it was. So when the passenger door opened an a sweet looking old lady got in, she let out an audible sigh of relief. The elderly woman smiled softly, and patted Vhesira's hand on the steering wheel. "Oh, don't be nervous, dear. I'm sure everything will go smoothly. You can call me Ms. Kazy, it's a pleasure to meet you, Ms. Lithvir."
"Th-thanks... nice to meet you too..."
"Alright now dear, feel free to get started whenever you are ready." The woman then got comfortable, still smiling sweetly. Vhesira managed a smile as well, taking a deep breath.
"Got it, Ms. Kazy." And after making sure everything was set up properly in the vehicle, she turned the ignition and set off. It was a relatively casual go. She did her best to follow the rules of the road and keep note of everything she was supposed to do. There were some occasions where she would hesitate to move forward a bit, but she mostly handled herself well. And the entire time, Ms. Kazy just offered soft encouragement and light conversation. It went a long way in calming her nerves, and before long, she was enjoying her test.
Eventually, she arrived back where she started, letting out a breath as she finally turned off the vehicle. "So... how did I do, Ms. Kazy?" She looked over to the woman, adjusting her glasses.
"Hm... well, there were a few bumps here and there, but nothing serious, and it seemed to be due to nerves. Other than that, you did very well actually. You should be proud, Ms. Lithvir." She smiled warmly, and Vhesira bit her lip.
"So... does that mean that I...?"
"Yes dear, you passed. Congratulations." Vhesira did a little dance in her seat, giggling as she heard this, before leaning over and hugging the elderly woman.
"Thank you so much! You made this so much less stressful than I thought it would be." She hurried to get out of the vehicle, moving to help Ms. Kazy out of the passenger seat.
"Oh, don't mention it dear. I remember when I took my first driving test, I was a nervous wreck. In fact, I think I caused a wreck." She chuckled softly, while writing on her clipboard, and handing a paper to Vhesira. "Just take this to the office receptionist, and they will get you your license. Have fun out there on the roads, alright?"
Vhesira just hugged her again. "I will. Thank you again, Ms. Kazy. If there were more instructors like you, people wouldn't be so nervous about these tests..."
After saying their goodbyes, and as Vhesira went to get her license, she giggled a bit. She'd come into this so nervous, but it had been a fun day...
