Name: Nikomar Novusiter
Gender: Male
Age: 19
Birthday: 7th of May
Sexuality: Bisexual
Special Characteristics: A scar running across his right palm, perpendicular to his fingers
Personality:
The young, quietly curious Nikomar set out into the world to gain knowledge, to understand magic and the world that was built around it, and to strengthen his own skills in the process. He carries a journal by his side, ready to take notes of anything of interest around him, even sometimes in the heat of a battle. He's not cold, which is the impression you may get from a quick glance, but reserved. He could even be described as light-hearted around friends, although he won't be the one to jump on the table at a tavern and start singing songs (unless he managed to get very drunk) but rather chuckle from the sidelines. When presented with a choice, Nikomar tends to favour the rational option, even if it may not be the most ethical. Of course, he'll avoid unethical actions if he can find an alternative, but let one innocent man die to save a hundred? If it was the most logical option, he wouldn't hesitate and wouldn't regret it. He's very straight forward. If he needs something, he'll politely ask before attempting anything else. He'll even track down strong mages to ask to spar, rarely to win, but to learn. Nikomar's emotions are under strict control at all times. They lean towards the positive side, always eager to discover and explore, but never overly excited. Likewise, his spirits never delve below stern. If a tear rolls down his cheek, something truly terrible must have happened to stir such a reaction from him.
Combat won't draw anything more than quiet satisfaction and a smile. Even anger, something easy to feel when beaten until you crumple into a pool of your own blood and tears, but the closest thing he's ever shown is determination. Not always determination to win, but just to survive a few more seconds to learn just a little more. Nikomar is strangely polite even in combat, including to scoundrals who attempt to take his life. Very rarely will he talk down to someone. He thanks those he faces in spars, even those he knows he will lose, as with every defeat comes a new note in the journal. He is equally gracious in victory in such spars, giving his opponents a hand to pull themselves to their feet. As expected, being reflected in his Spacial Manipulation magic, Nikomar values control and strategy in combat. He studies every movement of ally and enemy alike, controlling the terrain to give himself and his allies the edge.
Unsurprisingly, he enjoys being in a position of leadership. Having the power to call the shots allows him to create strategies that he feels promotes the greatest synergy among his allies. This doesn't, however, make him less eager to be part of a team if he isn't a leader. He understands that he may not be the first logical choice to lead, which makes perfect sense. If someone else can get more out of the team as a leader, then of course they should lead. Rather than complain about not being in charge, Nikomar is often excited see how other people direct a team, analysing their strategies and comparing them to his own, and forming newer, better tactics from them.

General Appearance
Height: 5'5"/165cm - A little on the short side
Weight: 121lb/55kg
Hair: Umber brown (well, that's the closest shade I found) and long enough to reach the chin at the sides, a shorter strand falls down the center of the face, touching the nose.
Eyes: A grey-ish blue pupil with a lighter iris.
Skin Tone: Light skinned
Appearance: Nikomar wears a long, navy blue cloak that nearly reaches his ankles. Large buttons adorn the left side of the cloak, where the right side of the cloak overlaps the left. Nikomar's journal, a humble brown leather book with a gold strip down the spine, and the initials N.N embroidered discreetly in the corner, is securely fastened to a belt around Nikomar's waist. The book is enchanted, and will only open for Nikomar, without a powerful mage with the ability to break such seals. It was clearly not made by Nikomar, who has had it ever since rank D. Likewise, a dagger in it's scabbard is held to the other side of Nikomar's belt. Strangely, he is never seen using it.
Guild: Guildless
Tattoo: On the palm-side of his left wrist. If his arm is outstretched horizontally, it is in the correct orientation. The mark is navy blue.

Likes:
- Learning - Nikomar is incredibly curious, forever wanting to understand magic and the world around him. He got this from his father, who spent many years travelling the world, documenting all the monsters and creatures he found.
- Puzzles - A test of knowledge and imagination is a welcome one. Whether it's a lock with no key-hole, or an un-readable cipher, Nikomar will happy put food, drink and even sleep aside to work on such challenges.
- The Unknown - An unchallenged foe standing on the horizon, an unturned page of a dusty tome, a long-buried relic sealed in a forgotten tomb. There is nothing more exciting than something that isn't yet understood.
- Milk - It's healthy and gives Nikomar a warm, fuzzy feeling of nostalgia on the inside. His mother always gave him a glass of milk before tucking him in to bed as a small child.
- The Wilderness - Especially it's night sky. There's no better place to just stare into the distance... and think.
Dislikes:
- Ignorance - Lacking knowledge and being blind to the world is one, understandable thing, but choosing to do so? Is the very air you breathe not worth understanding? It's an insult to the world that you live in.
- Unpredictability - Finding something unknown and new is exciting, of course, but it's not quite the same. A lack of method and order, waltzing into the darkness without a plan, it's simply idiotic.
- Anger - Is there every a reason to be angry? Terrible things can happen to good people, but all anger does is fuel foul actions. You don't help up your fallen ally out of anger, you strike down the one who hurt them... but did you really see who struck first?
- Being Woken Up - If there was a way to make Nikomar angry, it would be by tipping him out of bed at 2am. If he's asleep at all, of course. He tends to forget about time when thinking or writing, which has cost him many a nights sleep.
Motivations:
- Discovery - It runs in his blood. Whether it's an unseen location, or a long forgotten secret, Nikomar has a need to venture out and find out a little more about the world, not with a 'knowledge is power' kind of attitude, but childish curiosity.
- Strength - By pushing his own limits and learning a little at every failure, Nikomar hopes to strengthen his own magic power, never being someone of physical strength.
- Bloodline - Nikomar looked up to his father as a child, who was often away, exploring the world. He wishes to follow his father's footsteps, and study the unknown aspects of magic and the world.
Fears:
- Being Studied - When the tables and turned, and a foe is reading Nikomar's movements to create a strategy against him... it's unnerving.
- Failing in Leadership - When your team puts their faith, and even there lives in your hands... and you fail them... it's a terrible way to learn from your mistakes.
- Darkness - Nikomar relies heavily on his senses, especially sight to analyse his surroundings. Being stripped of his vision makes him feel helpless, he may even freeze in place
- Losing his Journal - It's a record of everything he's seen and learnt. Losing it would be like losing his memories.
- Losing his Dagger - A gift from his mother as he set out into the world. He wasn't told anything about it, merely left to "figure it out" as she knew of his love of puzzles. As of rank D, is it sealed in it's scabbard.
