Loyalty × Perseverance × Survival
In this way, the guild looks at packs of wolves as inspiration and tries to create a similar system, one that is based on a strong sense of loyalty among all the members. To be part of a bigger group that brings power, but to keep one's individualism in the process. Whether one looks at a guild simply as a workspace that provides different jobs and rewards, or as an actual family, it will provide. It is a place that wants to help its members with their desires and goals.
As such, the guild wishes to create a space where anyone can exist without the worry of being judged or undermined by others. A group that can achieve just about anything by cooperation that is essential to the hard work of being a mage. And to help anyone and everyone survive in this world that is not always as welcoming as it might seem on the surface. A place full of free spirits that do not wish to be chained down by anything. Silver Wolf welcomes all! But what of the guild's goal and ambition? It comes from that very respect toward the magical world all mages live in.
Silver Wolf focuses on the development of magic itself, as well as magic-powered technology. Be it through their own development, hunting for ancient and lost magical inscriptions or tools and trading with other individuals or organizations, the members are given free reign over how they wish to pursue this goal. To top into the unknown and reveal what could not be seen until now is the primary focus, results of which are the benefits for members, ensuring their ability to survive or even standing in the society.
The guild hall of Silver Wolf is not just a place that exists solely for meetings of different members and as a location for the job board. It is also a refuge for those who lack a home or simply wish to disappear from the outside world for a while. This, however, does not mean that the guild hall is hard to find for any potential new recruits. Firmly standing near the Mountain Village in an area that is covered in snow all year long is what appears to be a big oriental-styled bathhouse. This is the "Wolf's Den". That is the retreat all members of the guild can enjoy and make their home. Despite being in the cold snow, the small piece of paradise thrives and portrays the survival of the pack.
The mountain itself is saturated with magic and part of the Guild's grounds. It is a place where people rarely ventured prior to the day of Silver Wolf's creation, as the weather itself seems to protect this place. From light snowfall to a complete storm, it is most rare to see a clear day here. However, those who seek to find the Wolf's Den do not need to worry, for the ghosts of the mountain will lead them. Spirits of the wild wolves roam the mountains and protect, as well as lead those who came here to the Guildhall. They are not a threat but may lead astray those with malicious intents in their heart. The immediate area around the Den is protected by a magical barrier that calms the weather to mere few snowflakes falling to the ground, creation the sanctuary that this place can be.
Divided into several parts, it is to serve both the members and outsiders alike. The most notable being a restaurant area, living quarters, and of course the baths themselves. Naturally, members can use all services of this place free of charge, as everything is paid from the income of serving non-members that come to enjoy the local cuisine and springs. Each member is also given their own room, large enough to fit two people and fully customizable to their liking. Though they always come in the same oriental style as the rest of the building at first, hosting a king-sized bed, writing table with a comfortable chair, a futon in the middle and plenty of cupboards to fit all your clothes! The living quarters are also enchanted with special magic runes that bend the world itself and creating impossible space. This means that the whole area is much larger than what could actually fit in the building itself.
The most sought out part of the building is the hot spring. Providing both inside and outside baths, these easily take up the largest portion of the entire structure without using any special space-altering magic. Drawing hot water from the natural sources found within the mountains, these baths can do more than just relax the muscles and one's mind, but also speed up the healing process of external wounds and soothe one's shaken heart. Members of the Silver Wolf can also reserve baths to ensure that they are not interrupted by other paying customers. This way, anyone can enjoy the calming atmosphere and beauty that comes with an open bath and falling snow while you're kept warm by the water's embrace.
The last, but still very important part of the Guildhall is the restaurant area. Equipped with a high-end kitchen and plenty of room for tables, this is where both non-members and members of the guild can enjoy both warm and cold meals at any time of the day. Both regular seats and more private boxes are present here, allowing even larger groups to be able to sit together and talk whilst they regain their strength and fill their stomachs. Communication is vital for mages and no one wants to feel alone after all. And what better place to socialize than a dining table? This area is also large enough to host events of smaller to medium size, though these are generally held in the normally empty side rooms.
All members of the Silver Wolf are required to have the Wolf's mark on their body, a practice that all guilds of Ishgar indulge in. However, there are no real requirements aside from that. The mark can be anywhere on person's body, though it is highly encouraged that a normally visible location is chosen to make the process of verification easier and less embarrassing for everyone included. The same goes for the mark's color, as it is entirely up to each individual member to choose however they wish to color it. It is even possible to have the mark consist of multiple different colors, or have a gradient overlay. Members are encouraged to express themselves through their guild mark however they want, so that their individualism is not lost within the ranks they have joined. After all, this is a collection of people forming a single pack, rather than a pack becoming a single individual ego that operates without any care for the needs of individual parts.
It also serves as a magical identification that allows the Wolf's Den to recognize a member of the guild, and a result, allow them to use all the available facilities completely free of charge. Anyone without the guild mark would find themselves without these benefits, and not truly a member of the Silver Wolf.
The mark itself, while pretty self-explanatory in it's design, comes from the idea of what the guild itself should be to the members. Wolves are fiercely loyal to their pack, and have a strong sense of family while maintaining individualism. As such, this animal has been chosen to represent the ideas that Silver Wolf wishes to go by. To bear the wolf's head on your body is to be part of the pack. One of many and always able to count on the support of others in the harsh world of magic.
