Haru sat around the Guild wondering if anything interesting was going to happen that would brighten himself up. It seemed the only thing that kept his dark thoughts at bay these days was action, so he seemed to crave it. Something, anything to do. At times, however he found himself just peacefully dazing off as he stood outdoors near the gates of the guild. People passing by, he had one hand in the pocket of his long black slacks just gazing out at the spring day with some fresh air.
Rose was hanging out, flying about and socializing with random people here and there, but Haru seemed to be gazing out and thinking of only one thing. Finding out who his father was. For a long time he'd wondered about it, and never really pressed his mom about it. But as of late it had become somewhat of an obsession of his. Whether it be because he was coming of age, or wanted to know who he really was. What he was made of. Besides being born with magic, and having a mother who happened to know an Elder Dragon. Who was he truly. Deep down, even he didn't know and it scared him. These thoughts were interrupted by the entrance of a man that could only be described as huge. Although he was almost 6 feet tall himself, this man towered over Haru at about 8ft or more.
He walked right past him, and nothing was out of the norm. Except for the fact that the guy was carrying a boulder the size of a car, and one the size of a bus. Several people in front of the mage's guild would stop and stare, and eventually just about everyone did.
"I'm looking for one of the mage's here at the guild." the guy with a huge blonde mustache and a bald head stated. No one really moved although a few people began to talk again but still focused on him on this spring day. "They call him Salamander." as he said this, he would toss both rocks into the air, as they would then land with a loud 'thud!' kicking up dust as people let out an 'ooooh!' at this. "I mean to challenge him to a feat of strength." as he said this, a lot of people looked right at Haru and many others just began to talk amongst themselves.
When the man followed the eyes and landed on Haru, he would cackle a loud bellow of a laugh and then cross his arms. "Not what you expected?" Haru would say in his usual serious tone. Although the guy simply shook his head keeping his arms crossed. "Ah no, I recognize you by your look, you're definitely him." as he said this, Haru kept his focus and looked over to the two rocks. "I've heard you can be quite the strong man. I am Sol, Sol Flex." as he said this, he would nod his head to the side slightly and then nod at Haru once.
"Maybe some other time." as he said this, the silent crowd let out an 'awwwwwwwwwwwwww' and a few people seemed to complain as Haru furrowed his brow and began to walk off back inside the guild. "Salamander has been defeated ladies and gentlemen." as soon as he said this, Haru stopped walking as Sol would only smile and then keep his position. "Fine....I'll take the big one. What's the game." as he said this and with a single turn around would step up to the plate as many people began to cheer at the sight of them walking up to the rocks, people on the street taking notice of the cheers in front of Fairy Tail as well. "Destroy yours before I destroy mine. They're magically reinforced by S-Class earth mages.....so feel free to use any spells you want on em." as he said this, he would roll a shoulder and take a fighting stance as Haru would nod and bounce around briefly doing the same as they both stood in their respective stances as the crowd seemed to cheer and then tune out likely to both of them as they focused.
"Damn....we forgot to make someone say ready set go didn't we." in a moment of embarrassment Haru actually agreed with his opponent as the crowd heard them. "......Yeah." instantly the whole crowd would facepalm including Rose who would float over, her wings already out with her Aera Magic from before this guy even arrived. Hovering over both rocks, she would shake her head. "Men really are idiots.....I'll do it. Ready? Ready?" she pointed a paw at them both and then floated higher out of range. "3.....2.....1.......ATTACK!" as Haru and Sol both rocketed at the boulders, Haru hit it with the Iron Fist spell just at the same moment Sol would hit it with some kind of crazy Wind Attack that caused a huge inferno to erupt as soon as both of their fists hit the rocks, Haru's covered in flames roaring like a dragon, and Sol's in a huge wind blast. Rose had to literally ReQuip instantly in a spur of the moment action, and slash a huge wave of flames out of existence before it literally cooked everyone into ashes. Her anti-magic metals from Edolas showing their prowess as the flames and wind cooked out into nothing but a breeze as people let out another 'ooooh' just at Rose's display.
As she hovered there with a longsword ReQuipped into her hand, wings out; she would sweatdrop. "Um....we should move this to the training grounds." as she said this everyone erupted into cheers again as Sol would scoop up both rocks without any problem again and begin marching out back of Fairy Tail with a huge crowd of people in towe. Haru with his hands in his pockets smirking included right next to him.
