Sassi Luminosa walked upstairs, and out into the Silver Moon Inn's rooftop garden. It was filled, and perhaps a bit overgrown with, beautiful black roses; her guild's namesake. She looked around, fascinated. She had never seen so many roses in a one place before. She then remembered why she was here, and started looking for the gardening supplies. She picked up some gardening gloves, and put them on.
Sassi started checking out all the rosebushes, looking for ones that needed watering. Her pale dark blue eyes gazed at each rose. They're so pretty. she thought to herself. She wondered if she would be allowed to pick one for herself. She loved roses a lot, though she wouldn't pick any if they said no. She continued inspecting the rosebushes for any that needed water. She stopped as her mind brought up a memory she had of her mother's red rose garden. She loved that garden, but she was never allowed to go near the flowers even just to smell one. Feelings of bitterness and sadness entered her heart. Then she remembered that she was no longer with her parents, and this wasn't her mother's rose garden. She started feeling a little better, though small bits of bitterness lingered. She began checking the rosebushes again. She found a few that needed watering, and walked over to the watering can. She picked it up, and walked over to the rosebushes that needed it. After she was done with that, she felt a bit awkward as she didn't know what to do now. She had never really gardened before, and the only thing she knew about flowers was that they needed sunlight and water. Sassi looked around the garden a bit. There was plenty of sunlight all around, and she had already gotten to the rosebushes that needed watering, so she wasn't sure what else she needed to do.
Sassi itched her left hand, the one with her guild tattoo on it. She wondered if she ought to find someone who could help her. The only problem with that, was she was too shy. What else could she do with this garden though? She couldn't stand around and do nothing. That wouldn't get the job done. Then she saw, near the entrance back into the Inn, a written list of instructions for the garden. She gasped, as she saw that one of the things she needed to do when watering the rosebushes, was to put some mulch on the soil around them. She facepalmed, and felt a little foolish. Why didn't I see this list before? she thought to herself. Sassi scratched her head, thinking about what she could do. Could she still put mulch on the soil around the rosebushes she already watered? She decided to try. She picked up a bag of mulch, and brought it the rosebushes she had watered. She applied mulch to the rosebushes, and set the bag down. Feeling satisfied with the mulching, she walked back to the list. The only thing that was left on the list, was for her to check to see if any rosebushes needed pruning.
Sassi picked up a pair of pruning shears, and a pair of safety goggles. She put the goggles on, and started checking the rosebushes. She clipped off the roses that were too old and needed to come off. Once she was done with that, she took off the goggles, and walked back to where she had gotten the shears. She set both tools down and put all the supplies away for the day. She then reentered the Inn.
