Poko had made up her mind, she was going to do whatever it took to beat her fears and overcome them if it was the last thing she did. However, she wasn’t exactly sure how to go about, there was always the option to just sit in a room full of dogs or something, but she was fairly sure she would just have a heart attack and it would be a complete failure. That’s when she started thinking that perhaps there was some spell or magical item that could help her out, after all magic could do just about anything if you knew what you were doing. Unfortunately, the blonde girl had very little clue what she was doing, so she would have to take it upon herself to complete some research on the topic. Poko considered the library might be a good place to start, they had a large collection and assortment of books on magical uses after all, there was sure to be something on fears in there.
As the young girl made her way through the guild’s hallways towards the library she started thinking if perhaps there were some members that could help her out. Researching could take quite a lot of time and surely if she had someone else give her a hand it would go a lot faster, but who would be willing to sit and read for hours on end with her? Her walking slowed down as she pondered this question, thinking about all the members of the guild she had met up to this point, suddenly her eyes widened, of course, there was someone who she had seen carrying a ton of books. Yuvon! But, how was she going to find him, last she saw he had disappeared into a ground of tentacles, which still left her somewhat paranoid and freaked out. Poko had simply assumed it was his magic seeing as no one else in the vicinity seemed to notice or make a fuss about the way he vanished, so it must have been a normal occurrence, perhaps a form of travel for him.
The blonde finally found herself in front of the library door; she carefully pushed it open, stepping into her favourite room in the entire guild hall. She couldn’t help but smile, surrounded with so many books, this was still a library open to the public so there were a few people around that she didn’t recognise as she quietly stepped through the large room, filled with shelves towering far above her, stretching out in every direction. Poko felt so at home surrounded with these pages, she read a few of the names of the books as she walked past, and while a few caught her eye, she put them in the back of her mind for later, she had come here with a purpose after all. She had no idea where she could find Yuvon, but she hoped that if he loved books as much as her he may make his way to the library, giving her a chance to talk to him, she would just have to research on her own in the meantime and keep an eye out for him and that strange mask he wore.
Poko stopped, tapping her chin as she thought about what section she could find information on fears, it seemed like a good place to start, being able to understand the underlying reasons would help her magical searches later. Therefore she hurriedly made her way through the shelves, golden hair flowing behind her till she reached the section she had been looking for, psychology. She grabbed a couple of tomes that seemed to be useful. A couple on the sensory perception, movement, emotions and physiological drives, one on each of the conscious and subconscious processes then a few more on applied psychology, which she hoped would have the answers she was looking for. The short girl was barely able to see over the stack of books she was carrying, not to mention how incredibly heavy they were, made walking to the nearest desk to work on quite slow, but eventually she managed to make it, quickly putting down the books and shaking out her arms which were a little sore now.
Perhaps she should have only taken one or two at a time, but it was too late for that now, instead she sat down, pulling her chair up to the desk and tying her long hair into a ponytail to keep it out of her face. Poko then opened the first book she had pulled from the shelves, ‘Sensing Fear’. It seemed like a good place to start, in order to gain understanding on the subject. Slowly she flipped through the pages, scanning over quickly, she didn’t want to spend forever reading, but she didn’t want to miss anything important, so she made sure not to get side tracked as she normally would and simply scanned for key words that might help her with her personal issues.
