Leila was honestly not overly fond of zoos, being part cat herself, she found it somewhat cruel to cage up the animals. At the same time she understood that while they were trapped to live their life in a small area, they were being cared for and by breeding them it prevented some species from going extinct. When the Joyan girl had first heard about Clover Town Zoo's Grand Opening she initially was anything but interested, however, she overheard some guild members talking about how it would be a good way to spend some time with each other without having to deal with dealing with any beasts. The raven haired beauty saw this as the perfect opportunity to invite Haru out and spend some time with him, especially since it seemed like he was avoiding her lately for some reason. Leila had basically had to stalk him down and corner him to just invite him out, practically forcing him to agree, she was now waiting outside the entrance to the zoo, waiting for him to show up at the time they had arranged.

The Neko girl had decided to wear something a little more suited to today's events, while it was not exactly combat appropriate that wouldn't be an issue for a simple day at the zoo. She had selected a simple, short black dress that flowed nicely across her curves and ended just before her knees and a white button jacket to cover her shoulders. She had left the jacket open for now, as it was a little warm, but should it cool down she could always button it up to keep herself warm. Lastly she had a pair of stylish black boots upon her feet to complete her feminine outfit. Like all of her clothing she had ensured that her current outfit was enchanted such that if she wished to transform it would magically shift with her body changes to avoid issues.

For some reason she felt the need to dress up, she wasn't sure what exactly had come over her recently, she seemed to be doing things irrationally when it regarded her flaming friend, she would have to think upon it later when she had the time and figure out what was going on. Leila flicked her black ears backwards, tapping her foot against the pavement as she impatiently waited for her friend to join her, irritated that he was now a minute late, especially after all the time she had spent getting ready for today.

A Disastrous Date [Job with Haru] Empty Re: A Disastrous Date [Job with Haru]

    Post by Haru-senpai 10th May 2018, 8:00 am

As Haru walked through a crowd of people in the Clover Zoo; he saw the person he was looking for. Although people moved to and fro in front of her waiting, he couldn't help but to smile a little at the sight of her and from this angle, for the first time he noticed her butt was BIG and in very good shape; her other clothes were not as flattering and more for work or combat. Looking himself up and down, he wondered if he should have stayed in his usual clothes. But then again, his were also more suited to work and combat; his usual ones that is. He wondered if he was even worth the time of such a nice cat like that. With a sigh, he was too prideful to admit anything other than himself being ready and made his way forward.

He had on his usual white top, although it was a tank top now with his blue Fairy Tail tattoo shown on his shoulder easily spotted now. His scarf was loose around his neck, almost like a towel; hanging on both sides of his shoulders and down to his stomach; complete with a pair of black shorts and black open toe sandals. His muscles were very apparent; as most 16 year old guys of his height were. Sighing as he got nervous as he just, appreciated Leila so much. He had no idea how to tell her how he felt; yea right. He couldn't show weakness. But...she always, always accepted Haru for who he was. His failures and all, that alone made him nervous around her. But he couldn't thank her enough.

As he stepped up to her, he would pat her on the hip once. Looking her up and down he would note her rather hefty womanly figures and curves, noting the style of her white jacket and black skin hugging dress above her knees matched his actual outfit.

"Looks like we coordinated." he'd smile a little. Leaving Rose behind since he felt this actually was going to be their first actual ...thing like a date. He hoped not, lord he was terrified. "You look amazing." he said with a serious expression that didn't match what he'd just said. His white tank top matching her white jacket, he would step forward and grab her hand. "Don't ask and don't resist. If you do I'll leave." he said without looking at her as he began to walk with her side by side. His mother had whipped into him that when you were alone with a girl doing something like this; this is what you did.

As they walked, he actually gripped her hand tighter without looking at her as a way of thanking her for bringing him here.

"Leila I.....haven't been feeling like myself lately." he said as they moved through the crowds. "I just feel like I'm under so much pressure to.....be great. I just want to be myself......you know?" he had no idea why she and only she got to see this side of him. Even with his sensei his relationship was different in many ways than this one. But Leila, his guard just seemed to drop around her. For all his pride it just did. Letting go of her hand and putting both of his hands in his pockets; he would look away from her as behind him there was a cage of tigers. With kids and parents and even "other" couples if they could be considered anything like one. "Sorry about the hand holding....Mom protocol, I won't do it again but at least she won't strike me down from the heavens." he said as he turned to face the cage of tigers after staring into Leila's eyes, which were like a soft sun for a bit to long. Facing the tiger engagement, he would notice it was like a jungle in there. Soon enough, one of the tigers hoped on a nearby rock and seemed to make eye contact with Haru.

Leaping down it put it's face near the cage and began to pace. His love of feline's caused his heart to race as he felt like a kid again. Stepping forward without thinking he hoped over the railing and walked right up to the cage as some kids pointed. Some of the zoo staff yelled at him but he waved them off. Turning and crouching in front of the cage; he would say "Hey buddy." to the tiger, and put his hand out. It would actually growl at his hand for a moment, but when he kept it there; the tiger responded by licking his hand. "Sorry they've got you in here like this...." as he talked to it, it continued to lick his hand.

Soon though, the zoo staff hopped the railing and grabbed Haru by the shoulders. "SIR, you cannot be over the railing in the inbetween grass! Stay with your girlfriend please!" he motioned toward Leila and started to pull Haru back as the tiger seemed to get angry and growl at the zoo staff for touching Haru before leaping away back into the enclosure further.

"Alright alright." he was shoved back towards the railing and stepped over it with his hands up in his own defense as he rejoined Leila. "Tsk......any animals you want to see......besides the one in front of you." he said as he crossed his arms, and in his tank top it made his muscles a bit more apparent as he looked around a few people looking at him for what he'd just done, but no one making to big of a deal out of it.

Leila glared at him after he tapped her ready to hiss and complain about him being late, narrowing her eyes as he mentioned them 'coordinating', well they did match somewhat, she couldn't deny that, but she was still peeved. That was until he said she looked amazing and suddenly took her by the hand, catching her completely off guard and making her feel weird, the only way she could think to describe it was nauseous but in a good way, her heart feeling light and her stomach fluttering. The Joyan turned her face away afraid that she was probably making a somewhat stupid expression, she didn't understand, she was fairly used to physical contact, after all, she was from the land of known for their rambunctious and lustful ways. While she tended to keep to herself, she had been known to occasionally join in with her village's festivities from time to time. Maybe it had just been because she had been surprised by the redhead's actions, yea that had to be, she was just caught off guard is all. Still, Leila found it somewhat irritating that she seemed to be rendered completely speechless from something so simple, it made her feel like she was an idiot.

The Neko girl couldn't continue to look away as Haru started to speak to her again though, that would be rude, so she quickly composed herself, trying to act like she wasn't phased at all, she just hoped he was blind enough to not notice. Finally she felt herself able to form words without the chance of stuttering. "I would suggest that you stop caring what others think, but I know that's easier said than done." Leila responded calmly, there was truth to her words, she herself up until she ran away had always done things to please her family and the villagers, it had eaten her up inside. It was not an easy thing to dismiss their opinions and wants from you, she had merely ran away on a whim, and while she knew her choice would eventually cause a lot of issues, she had decided to live in the moment for now, rather than think about what the future held for her. As he let go of her hand, she felt somewhat saddened but relieved at the same time, simply nodding as he mentioned that he only did so because of his mother.

Leila's ears and tail twitched as she follow his gaze, noticing he was staring at the caged tiger, making her feel somewhat uneasy. Seeing a fellow feline trapped like that made her feel awful, but she also knew that it would at least be well cared for here and there was no chance of poachers hunting it for its coat. She thought about how she was in a fairly similar position now, while she was unable to return to the village she belonged at least she was not having to constantly fight off raiders attempting to capture the Joyans to use them as slaves. It was the one thing she worried about the most, she was one of her villager's best fighters and she just hoped they would be okay without her there to help protect them. Leila let out a small sigh as she realised she had got caught up in her own thoughts, realising too late that Haru had made his way past the barrier that was supposed to stop people from losing their fingers, or worse. "Idiot." She muttered to herself, mentally face palming as she scowled in his direction, while the zoo keepers dragged him back to her. Leila didn't lose her composure often and now she was about to do so twice within the span of a few minutes? She felt her face heat up as people stared at the two of them, mostly at Haru, but there were a few onlookers that gave her a look of pity, as if being associated with the boy must be awful.

"Let's go see the penguins or something..." Leila hissed in a low voice, already marching off away from the prying eyes of the nosy onlookers. The raven haired girl continued to keep up her ridiculous pace, glancing at the signs till she found what she was looking for, eventually making her way to the exhibit filled with fluffy little flightless birds. While generally she always felt her feline urges to hunt birds that flew by, she always enjoyed penguins, they were different, she didn't see them as prey, but just cute, cuddly creatures. She also appreciated their love for fish, her favourite thing to eat no matter what the species, although, she did envy the penguins ability to swim so easily through the water, as if they were flying through the liquid. "Wish I could swim." She whispered quietly to herself as her eyes followed one penguin in particular that seemed to be really enjoying the water.

However, her thoughts were interrupted abruptly by loud screams, her ears instantly flicking in the direction of the sound, her eyes scanning the surroundings for where it had come from. This was not a joyful scream of someone enjoying themselves at the zoo, it sounded almost as if they were being attacked. Before she could even move, her eyes widened as she saw something heading in their direction, a creature that most definitely should be behind bars, it bared its fangs as it noticed her, a deep growl rumbling from its chest. It wasn't alone either, no like most canines it was in a pack and soon its growls were joined by many others, her amber eyes flicked between them, trying to count just how many there were. This was certainly not good, they had most definitely escaped from their cages, but it's not like she could just kill all the zoo's wolves, no she would have to find a way to subdue them. Leila could hear screaming again further in the distance, could more creatures have escaped? That seemed unlikely, someone must have been releasing them, a realisation that made her seethe. Innocent people's lives were now in danger all because some dirt bag decided to free the animals, most likely someone with the worst intentions.

Leila knew she didn't have time to think about them for now though, no she had to find a way to get herself and Haru out of this situation. Oh right, she suddenly became aware of the fact she wasn't alone and didn't have to do everything on her own. Although she wasn't entirely sure how much his fire would help in such a situation, perhaps he could use it to scare the creatures? Ah not exactly the best sounding idea, but it would have to do. "Haru, I need you to use your flames to scare all the wolves into a bundle, I can trap them all at once with my shadows if they're huddled together." It was a fairly simple plan, but of course there were many ways it could backfire, they didn't know for sure that the flames would even scare them, or if the herding technique would even work, for all she knew it could scatter them instead. Of course that was just a risk she had to take, as she moved to follow the flaming red head and prepare to send paws of shadows at all the wolves' feet once they were grouped enough.

    Post by Haru-senpai 10th May 2018, 10:19 am

"I would suggest that you stop caring what others think, but I know that's easier said than done." as her words hit his ears, he made a face at her after she marched off in some kind of a huff but she didn't seem to be truly mad. With a slightly confused grin he walked behind her, right behind her on purpose so he'd have a nice view. She truly was gorgeous; a prize for sure. He wondered if he was right for caring for her, when she probably had an entire village back home in Joya that cared for her as well. One day he wanted to go there; he'd only ever been to Midi, Ca-Elum, and Seven. Maybe he could ask her today to take him there one day when she was ready for it.

When she suggested penguins, Haru imagined them flipper fighting with one another in his head and agreed with a "Cute and cuddly boys, cute and cuddly." from one of his favorite Fiore movies, a line came out of nowhere. Walking next to her now, as he realized she was walking pretty quickly he looked around and wondered why. A few looks, some of admiration and some with giggles passed but eventually they made their way further away from the tiger encampments and from the people who'd seen the first ordeal. Eventually, they reached the penguins. Down below as ice, and a pool below as well with dozens of them whirling around. A few on the ice clapping their flippers, a few even doing tricks. When he saw Leila admiring them, he almost got caught up looking at her.

For some reason, his arm began to move around her; but a huge scream in the air literally that could have echoed across a neighborhood went off into the air. Followed by even more screams, male, female, and child alike. Looking at Leila with a confused yet concerned face. He was surprised even more when a huge crowd of people came running his way, behind them a pack of some kind of wolf. Although they seemed to have magic brimming off of them. Since Leila and Haru didn't go running the hell away with everyone else, the wolves circled them a bit and even barked a bit.

Leila already was forming a plan, as Haru listened. "Fine." he said shortly as he thought the idea of running up and wrestling a pack of wolves sounded more fun. He wondered how well he'd get along with the tribesman back in her home nation. Oh well. With a single fist into a palm he began to walk forward; letting out a growl of his own of irritation and fury at the wolves who noticed this and began to bark even louder, some of them freaking out that a human was just walking at them like this. His iris' switched from green to red as he continued to growl at them, a dragon slayer trait that sometimes happened on it's own. As soon as he got to close they all ran at him, but in less than a second a huge inferno erupted from Haru; flame going into the air as if something had exploded from him. The flames would scorch through the wolves once as they yelped and tried to run; but with the sound of a roaring dragon the flames actually bent around in the air and created a circle around Haru, Leila, and all the wolves; trapping them within a ring of flames that were letting off a dragon roar. Haru's hair actually looked as if it was now on fire.

A huge crowd of people stopped with an 'oooooooooooooh' at the sound of the flames, since they realized it was not normal fire magic and were astonished by it frankly. "Don't stop running damn!" he yelled from inside the ring of fire with Leila, turning as his eyes made contact with a few people who realized they should book it. Gathering up everything, they did so. More screams from further in the park. "Whatever you're going to do, do it now." he said as his back as to Leila, wolves in front of him; and flames howling like a dragon surrounding them on all sides. One of the wolves dove right at Haru who raised an eyebrow and held his arm in front of himself. The wolf would bite; drawing blood as Haru in his tank top just flexed and held the wolf off of the ground like a pit bull. It's eyes were full of fury now, but he could see a bit of panic now since Haru wasn't flinching. With a single slam he buried the thing in a cry of it's own yelp as it scrambled back and limped a bit.

Leila has almost got completely distracted by Haru's flaming head of hair, he was definitely far stronger than herself, although she already knew that, it also gave her a reason to keep fighting and improve her own skills. Snapping out of it as he told her to continue her plan, "Ah right..." she muttered, getting ready to cast her spell, only she was having a little bit of a tricky time. The flames were producing so much flickering light around them that the shadows she had initially planned to use to trap them were all about vanished. "Goddamnit." She mumbled, she would have to do something a little different than usual, focusing as much as she could on each shadow that the wolves cast themselves, while the fire made it somewhat tricky, they still all cast shadows under their own paws. The Joyan girl, closed her eyes, sensing the shadows around her, rather than seeing them, before forcing them to create cat like paws that erupted from the ground beneath each of the wolves, digging their shadow like claws into their legs in a painless but effective way that rooted them all in place.

The magical wolves howled as they fought to release themselves, but to no avail, at least they seemed to be trapped for the time being, but she couldn't hold the spell forever. It would only be a temporary measure, she looked around, trying to see past the circle of flames. They stopped her from being able to cast any further magic due to the lack of shadows for use, but perhaps there was a non-magical method she hadn't thought of. Leila's mind raced, while her amber orbs searched, but she started to worry as she came up short, the lack of ideas causing her to start panicking. Her heart was definitely racing and not in a good way like it had earlier, however just as she was starting to lose all hope she saw something that made her relax. A few of the zoo keepers had arrived with what appeared to be tranquilizers. Leila raised a hand to her chest as she sighed loudly in relief. One by one, they shot the darts into the beasts, causing them to lose consciousness, as they did, Leila released her grip of shadows, so they could be moved once Haru released the magical circle of flames.

The Neko focused again, there were more than just these wolves, "Come on Haru, we need to check out the rest of the zoo." She stated almost too calmly considering their current situation. She was thankful her plan had been somewhat successful, however, there was the obvious issue with the fact that they couldn't necessarily knock out the creatures, they would need one of those tranquilizer guns and a few darts. Leila took off in the direction that the zoo keepers had been, they had a left a few by a vehicle they were using to transport the wolves back to their enclosures and she carefully grabbed one with a small ribbon like shadow that stretched out and around, gripping the gun and bringing it to herself. Her outfit was causing issues though, it was difficult to move in something so tight fitting, and when she ran, the dress started riding up her legs, she found herself having to stop occasionally to brush it back down, cursing herself for not wearing her usual get up.

Even with her having to periodically stop to fix her dress, it wasn't long before the duo would find themselves back at the tiger enclosure, however, Leila noticed something was definitely not right. She looked into the cage, scanning it. "Damnit, they're gone too." she stated with a small sigh, knowing they were going to have to track down the large kitties was not entirely her idea of fun. Thankfully, as luck would have it, they wouldn't have to look far as behind them they heard a fearsome roar, turning around she'd come face to face with one of the big cats, although, it didn't seem to be aggressive. Leila tilted her head, 'Could it be...?' she walked up peacefully to the creature, looking carefully over at the markings on its face, sure enough it was the one that Haru had approached earlier, although it seemed to be showing its true magical nature now, with two large horns protruding from its head and strange purple growths from its shoulders, still it didn't seem vicious, at least not towards the duo.

Leila sighed knowing she had to make sure it wouldn't harm anyone else though, she raised up the tranquilizer gun, "Sorry." She whispered to the majestic beast before pulling the trigger, sending a dart towards its shoulder. With a direct hit, it growled out, suddenly mad at the girl, of course it would be. She had broken its trust after all. No doubt Haru would scold her, but it was the safest course of action. The tiger grew sleepy, attempting to pounce towards the Joyan, only to fall short as the drug took hold, causing it to collapse on the ground. Leila walked up, kneeling down to gently stroke its soft fur on its face. Such a beautiful animal should never be caged up, but it wasn't her place to decide its fate. As she sat petting the the striped feline she failed to notice three pairs of eyes belonging to similar creatures staring at her, about to make their move and attempt to strike her down.

A Disastrous Date [Job with Haru] Empty Re: A Disastrous Date [Job with Haru]

    Post by Haru-senpai 12th May 2018, 7:45 am

As Haru stood within the inferno, next to him; Leila would begin casting a spell and out of nowhere the wolves seemed to all be surrounded by some kind of darkness. It was more like a rope move than one meant to really hurt them, which made Haru smile. However, the shadows seemed to be flickering in and out as Leila was struggling against his fire.

Concentrating, as his hair seemed to return to normal; no longer appearing to be on fire, he would make the flames also disappear in a loud; fwoosh just as people with guns were running up at the wolves. With a furrowed brow he almost moved with inhuman speed to disarm them; but when the shots went off he didn't hear bangs. Tranquilizers. Sighing in relief, Haru looked around for Leila at his side but didn't see her.

This date was the worst. When he finally did see her, he realized she was running back from somewhere with one of those tranquilizer guns. He then spotted her target. A tiger. But it seemed to be magically augmented somehow by the wolves as if someone had put some crazy spell on them. But something was off about this tiger. Could it be. Haru realized it was his friend from earlier; the tiger that had shown interest in him, which he'd returned.

"Nooooooooooooooooo!" he yelled as Leila pulled the trigger. The dart hitting it as she moved back away just as it attempted to swipe at her. "Leila he would've helped us! I was going to name it!" his interest in her clashed heavily with his love for animals in this moment as he got a Q_Q face and decided Leila was as cold as they come. "He just...wanted to be loved!" Haru said dramatically as Leila decided she was ready to figure out he problem. Huffing to himself, Haru would notice they were surrounded by several tigers that looked just like his buddy. With weird horns and blue mana lines throughout them.

Haru would then smell something unusual. A magic he'd smelled only once before. Living Magic. Somewhere within the zoo. Following his nose, he would turn and make eye contact with a guy running out of an animal encampment, with unnatural speed only another mage would have. Not a regular human. He dipped off further into the zoo as the tigers surrounded Leila and Haru.

"That motherf----" cut off by a charging tiger, Haru would merely let out a roar that was more like a scream of rage as the entire area went up in shockwaves as trees and bushes began to vibrate, even leftover cups with soda and water in them shook. As this almighty roar continued, the tigers own roars were drowned out as they began to crouch and back away fully as Haru clenched both fists at his side during the howl. When it was done, the tigers seemed nearly paralyzed with confusion and fear that a human made such a beast like sound.

Charging him all at once, Haru would power up flames onto his fists as both of them seemed to literally whirl with flames as he began literally punching the tigers away mid-swipes as they leapt at him; flames licking and leaping into the air with each hit; as their thick and sharp claws would dig into him repeatedly as he continued to knock them around. Eventually they were so distracted by him, that Leila had clear shots. "Now!" he would say as he nodded to her from his position, whirling his fists around in Liu Kang fashion before taking a stance to aggressively attract the tigers even more as his fists continued to whirl with flames that let off dragon roars in audio.

Again out of the corner of his eye, he saw the guy running up now onto the highest hill in the zoo. The Lion encampment. "Oh I'm gonna get that guy.......Leila, the one who ruined your date is that way!" it wouldn't be hard to notice a human not running away in all of this chaos and panic as even the stone paved hill and railing up to the lion's den was visible from here. Haru would then literally duck an entire tiger that leaped at him, it would stumble and go falling into the penguin encampment; splashing loudly into the water below as all of the penguins freaked the hell out at a Tiger just plummeting down into the icy lakes of their enclosure from above.

Wanting badly to make a joke about cats swimming, he could see himself getting scolded by Leila and Rose both in his mind comically as he let off a sweatdrop. After Leila had somehow managed to shoot the rest of the tigers, Haru would be approached by zoo staff from all directions, and Leila from behind.

"Someone's gotten employee credentials!!! The Rune Knights are on their way but I don't think they're ready for that guy.....he ran up towards the---" as soon as he said this, Haru pointed in the direction, having already spotted the guy a few times running about. With a nod, the staff member would walk up to Leila and give her at least 20 darts ready to fire. "Jeez....we thought Fairy Tail didn't help out like this anymore.....not since....well we were wrong, we'll be sure to spread the word not only here in Clover but everywhere!" he yelled over the panic in the air as Haru would smile and nod at him as the flames surrounding his fists went out with a loud 'whooosh'.

"Let's head to the Lion's Den then shall we." he would say in his usual tone as he would nod at Leila once before setting off at a fast jog up the long pathway heading in that direction.

"Haru, it could have hurt someone. It could have even hurt you, even if it's usually caged it's still a wild animal that could turn on you at any minute." The raven haired girl asserted, she certainly wasn't wrong, even pets had been known to suddenly turn on their masters for no reason. All animals could be dangerous, even herself. Leila had been so preoccupied petting the dozing tiger she had previously shot that she hadn't even noticed the other three till they were already leaping in the duo's direction. She went to cover herself with her arms but Haru was already reacting, making the Neko curse to herself for being stupid enough to let her guard down, of course there would be more than just the one. Leila readied herself, raising up the tranquilizer gun, it wasn't an easy task with them moving all about but as the flame driven boy managed to subdue them long enough she would raise the gun, pulling the trigger with precision as to not miss her target and accidentally hit Haru instead, a risk that was always possible in such a situation.

Luckily her aim was true and it wasn't long till all the tigers were fast asleep, although the one in the penguin enclosure nearly gave the Joyan a heart attack as she heard her beloved little flightless birds screech out in panic at the beast suddenly thrown in with them. She had to wait till it got out of the water before shooting it though, to ensure it wouldn't drown, but made sure to take it out as soon as she could so that it wouldn't harm any of the feathered creatures waddling around in a frenzy. She audibly sighed in relief once the massive beast collapsed, the penguins all seemed to be fine, well other than their incessant squabbling, but that was to be expected, who wouldn't panic after having a creature one hundred times larger than yourself suddenly fall into your home?

Now that things were slightly calmer, Leila had time to think upon Haru's comments in the middle of his fight with the tigers, "What was that you said about a date?" she growled as she scowled in the dragon slayer's direction, semi furious as her ears flicked back and tail twitched awaiting his response. While on the outer she seemed rather angry at Haru, truth was her stomach and heart were full of flutters and she was simply angry at herself for not being able to open up to her own damn feelings. It was far easier to pin the blame on him after all, that way she would never have to admit anything to him, besides she was more than happy to remain friends, things would be easier that way. Their conversation was short lived however, as the zoo staff approached and spoke to the duo, thankful that they were here to help. They have Leila more darts, to which she thanked them, she hadn't even noticed, but she was indeed running out of ammunition with only one dart left prior, now she would have plenty to take down whatever was up ahead without any issues.

Leila chased after her teammate, only just keeping up to his jog, goddamn why was he so much faster? Well it’s not like that mattered, he’d mentioned a lion’s den and after taking out a handful of magical tigers she was fairly confident they could hand a simple lion, a small smirk on her face at the thought of something so easy. However, her smirk vanished as they reached the enclosure of the large cat, outside standing a creature far larger and more fearsome than all the previous tigers combined. Leila’s stared in shock, yes it was similar to the lion, sharing the head and body like features meaning it had teeth and claws that could tear you to shreds, but its tail was massive, the end of which appeared somewhat like a spiked mallet that would certainly pack quite a punch should it hit someone. Then on top of that it also had two huge wings similar to that of a bat protruding from its shoulders, allowing it to take flight if it so wished. The Neko girl gasped, eyes wide, unsure how to handle such a creature, it would certainly take more than one dart, but just how many would be enough? Two? Three? She wasn’t certain, but she also didn’t want to overdose it, she should have asked the keepers for more instructions when she took the ammo. Leila internally cursed at herself for being gullible enough to believe the tigers would be the hardest thing to deal with.

When the beast noticed them it didn’t hesitate to attack, instantly darting towards Leila with ferocity, the look in its eyes reflecting its intent to kill. She was caught in shock, her eyes locking with the monster before her, she wanted nothing more than to move, but her body just wouldn’t react to her commands. Before she even had a chance to react it was already on top of her pinning her down, its claws digging into her far smaller shoulders as she felt herself crushed under the weight of the lion. "AHHHHHH!" Leila screamed out as pain shot through her, she could feel blood already dripping down herself where the claws had dug in, now that she had snapped out of her shock she tried to move, but she found herself too weak to force the creature off of her, it roared in her face, causing its reeking breath to blast in her face. The Joyan girl glanced around, noticing she had dropped the tranquilizer, "Damnit." She cursed to herself, which was becoming quite the habit today, she could only hope that Haru would do something and fast, before the beast decided to destroy her.

As they jogged together up toward the lion's den, he would look over and reply to her statements about his friend of a tiger that he'd made here today. "Sometimes a little trust goes a long way...just look how friendly it was with just that one interaction with me." he said in a serious tone as he ran up to the lion's den, noticing some weird ass creature. A huge one that stood at about the size of a house in front of them. "DAMN that thing is ugly!" Haru said as he slowed his jog into a walk and crossed his arms standing next to Leila. It was like, a cross between a giant lion, a bull, a bat, and an armadillo with a huge spiked tail. Truly confusing and weird, more so than horrifying to Haru who was obsessed with beasts of all kind. When Leila made a comment about the date itself, it was filled with distaste and malice. Something else though, it didn't seem real. Haru returned her statement and glare with one of his own, his brow furrowing intensely as he thought for a moment she questioned his feelings for her not only as a friend; but more. He'd explained several times to her how much he appreciated her random check ups on him. Now she had thrown it all in his face with just a few words. Just staring at her, he decided to ignore it with fury inside however; and turn back to the daunting thing in front of them.

"How the heck did something like that come to be...." he asked himself more than anyone nearby.

"Wouldn't you love to know, Salamander." as he heard a voice from distantly, with his superhuman hearing he turned toward it and locked eyes with a guy who was literally sitting inside the lion's den on a rock. As he literally looked to his right and made eye contact with a guy wearing a stolen zoo staff's coat. He heard a leap and a roar as the thing literally crashed down onto Leila. "If you do that I'll get away." he said as he took a movement toward Leila who had been pinned down, and was now bleeding all over herself. "Let your girlfriend die or save the day, you choose." he said as he sat on the rock, unphased and not moving at all yet. Without hesitating, Haru would look at Leila's panicked face and hear her scream once more. Realizing this could be the moment he lost her forever; he mentally snapped as his iris' would wash over from their usual green into red as he leapt onto the back of the lion. Causing it to tumble off of Leila from the sheer force of his leaping tackle.

With flames erupting from his hands, Haru literally began to strangle the lion as it's giant fridge sized claws slapped at his back and even his head as his eyes seemed to begin glowing with fury as he screamed aloud while strangling the thing. It's sharp fangs filled with spit opened as Haru let out another roar and headbutted the thing straight in it's nose before releasing his stranglehold and beginning to pummel the thing in the neck face and body. Losing absolute control, Haru's fists moved at the rate of a machine gun as he screamed out in fury; blood splashing on his face and clothes as mana began to leak off of the lion.

Managing to slap Haru off with a paw; the thing began to run away, as it's enchantments began to fade.

"What the!!!" the guy stood up to his feet and looked panicked as he realized Haru was literally beating the magic out of the thing. The now half enchanted lion began to shrink in size as it ran; however Haru was at the moment consumed by fury as he literally ran up and grabbed the lion by the tail; it would look back at him and roar once as his eyes only spoke for him with a slight red gleam.

VATHOOOM! The entire lion caught flame with a loud screech of pain as Haru held onto it's tail. Burning to ashes right before everyone, as even it's bones were visible through the flames for a split moment before they too stretched away into ash. Releasing his hand; as ashes flew from it, his hand still smoking; Haru would then turn toward the guy who'd caused this entire situation. His footsteps would pass the grounded Leila as he didn't even stop to help her up now. Realizing he'd made a fatal mistake by not fleeing, too busy being in awe at Haru's assault, the guy panicked and began to negotiate.

"Stop....if you kill me.....you're a member of Fairy Tail right? You can't murder me in cold blood." as he mentioned the name of his guild, this served to piss off Haru even further. His guilds name on the lips of this piece of shit. He continued to just walk calmly toward the guy with murderous intent in his eyes. The zoo staff eventually ran up and assessed the situation some of them running over to cradle Leila, holding her up a bit so her own blood loss wouldn't get out of hand. "Hey kid! It's alright the Rune Knights are arriving!" one of the staff members yelled out to Haru as he seemed to ignore him. "What's gotten into that guy? Miss, you need to stop your friend somehow before he murders that guy i front of 50 magic cops." as he shook Leila a bit, he and the other staff members tried to bandage her up best they could; even helping her to her feet.

"Yo don't....please, I only wanted to mess around with my magic...PLEASE!" the guy begged for his life as Haru reached him, holding up one hand, an inferno began to churn on it as he was about to fire off some spell and vaporize the guy. However, Haru wanted to erase him absolutely and began to power the flames up intensely and decide to smile at the guy while he did so. "HELP, HELP!!! NO!!! NO!!!!" in full panic, the guy began to crawl away and out of fear he tripped and fell again.

Leila took in a deep breath, finally able to feel herself breathe again as Haru shoved the beast of the lion off of her, it was an incredible relief but at the same time agonizing. She had felt the sharp pain of the claws removing themselves from her body, tearing even more at her flesh and leaving blood pretty much gushing out all over her and she cursed at herself for refusing to learn that healing spell that her father had been trying to teach her a while back. Should they all get out of this alive, she would be certain to train herself in it, that was for certain, she did not enough this feeling of utter helplessness. Thankfully, some medics ran over to help, putting pressure on her wounds to hold back the bleeding so she wouldn't pass out from blood loss. The Neko was still feeling somewhat dizzy though, she had come fairly close to passing out, but with a little bit of help from the medical team she found herself starting to sit up a bit, although it was still incredibly painful to even move, her entire body aching from the earlier pressure it was under.

Leila wasn't so concerned for herself now, her amber eyes darted around, trying to look for wherever the flaming red haired boy had vanished to. She spotted him fighting one on one with the beast as a man nearby taunted him, she winced in pain as she tried to get up, wanting to help. "Sit still!" one of the medics ordered her, "Or you'll reopen the wounds, I've barely finished closing them." Leila scowled, she really was helpless, she'd never felt more useless, if she had just moved and dodged the lion, or even just shrank into the shadows to save herself. The Joyan girl hated herself right now, but she was more focused on the scene before her, Haru was losing it and her eyes widened in horror as she watched him completely roast the poor lion. Sure it had attacked her, but it was just a wild beast, it didn't deserve such treatment. Her eyes followed him as he headed towards the man, begging for his life, trying to plead with the anger stricken boy. Yes this man put hundreds of other's lives in danger and yes he would probably have gladly let Leila die, but his punishment should not come from the boy, but from those with authority. She looked back at Haru, her eyes widening as she studied him more closely.

The hate and contempt in his face, the murderous look in his eye, he was definitely not himself, although she had only known him for a short time she knew that he was certainly not thinking clearly, overcome with rage. Leila panicked if he killed this man, in front of all these people, Rune Knights no less, it would be trouble for more than just him, but for the entire guild, but how could she stop him? She was barely able to move without it causing complete agony, all she could do was scream out and hope he'd listen to her, "HARU! STOP!" she yelled, tears starting to swell in her eyes, slowly the salty drops began trickling down her face. She was scared, not for herself, but for her friend, what was wrong with him? "I-I'm f-fine, please s-stop..." She cried, unable to hold the tears back anymore. Afraid that her words weren't reaching him properly, Leila stood up, ignoring the pleas of the medical team to sit still and limped over towards him as fast as she could, the claw marks reopening, causing her severe pain, but she ignored that too. All that mattered was calming him down. Leila came up behind her friend, instantly wrapping her arms around him, trying to stop him from moving. "Stop..." she whimpered, as she pressed her body close against his back, blood from her shoulders staining his clothing as well, but she didn't care, clothing was replaceable, Haru was not. The raven haired Neko hide her face from onlookers in his shirt, causing the liquid from her eyes to dampen the material, but it was better than everyone seeing her in such a weak, pathetic state. 'Please, please, please listen to me' is all she could think, if he refused to do so there was a strong possibility the entire Fairy Tail guild would be blamed for such an event, causing them to be classified as a dark guild and find themselves on the run from the law.

That wasn't what worried Leila the most though, she was more afraid of losing her one and only friend in Fiore, it was the last thing she wanted, he was the only one that she ever let her defenses down. Goddamn if it was someone else in his place she wouldn't be crying right now, what was it with this boy and making her feel stupid emotions that she was usually so good at keeping behind an emotionless mask? Maybe she really did have stronger feelings for him than she had initially thought. Did she perhaps think of him more than just a friend. She had had friends back in her village in Joya, but she hadn't ever seen them as more than that, nor had she ever had issues with emotions like she did around the fiery male. Leila was in no way ready to admit it to him, nor was she certain she'd ever do so, besides the last thing she wanted was to complicate things between them, but she was willing to at least admit her feelings to herself, she loved him. She was in love with this stupid, hot-headed, prideful boy.

A Disastrous Date [Job with Haru] Empty Re: A Disastrous Date [Job with Haru]

    Post by Haru-senpai 12th May 2018, 9:39 pm

With a literal inferno on his arm, he would hold it out. From his point of view his entire arm was on fire; whistling hot as a dragon's roar echoed. The man's pleas fell on deaf ears as Haru merely thought about how arrogant and cocky he was a moment ago. He wasn't even accepting his demise like a real man. That he would have respected. However now, due to showing cowardice in front of someone as prideful as Haru; his fate was all but sealed.

"If you weren't cowering so much, I'd have let you live." opening his closed fist into more of a blast formation hands spread; the flames intensified just as Haru somehow heard through all the commotion behind him. Her voice. His guildmate, and closest friend at the guild who he tried to dodge as best he could; but never truly could for some reason. Looking back over his shoulder, his iris' still red in stead of green he would talk as he looked back at the guy who was now about to pass out from the heat alone as the flames on Haru's arm continued to whistle loudly and roar.

"This guy destroyed the zoo, he was taken down by Fairy Tail." he said as he looked back deeper into his helpless expression. "End of story." but as he heard her groan with pain and stand, shoving medics off of her; his attention began to completely divert as his iris' washed over green as he lowered his hand a worried expression overtaking him as he furrowed his eyebrow in frustration, flames going out as she approached him. Standing completely still as she approached; he was hugged by her as he turned fully into it and just stood there. Not hugging back but looking ashamed and angry that he couldn't finish a guy who had probably murdered dozens just now.

Footsteps literally clamored everywhere as the two stood frozen, Leila's tears and Haru's frustrated face a few inches taller. As the Rune Knights swarmed and asked questions to the staff, Haru just stood there. To prideful to embrace her back, and too angry and filled with adrenaline to say much. As the Rune Knights surrounded the culprit and got rough with him, Haru told them to "Stop." while Leila was still holding onto him. "Just put him away forever, don't kick him while he's down." prideful to the last, he would at least look the guy who'd caused all this, the guy he'd wanted to kill a second ago in the eye and give him a nod. With tears in his eyes, and mind probably still racing; he nodded back to Haru as he was dragged, still sort of roughly off by a unit of Rune Knights, most of the Rune Knights staying behind; spreading out, and trying to provide what aid and support they could while locking off the Clover Zoo for the day. "If you don't let go now, I might actually have to hug you back." he put his forehead on hers briefly, and then took a step back from her. His emotions for her going wild, but if she did consider him anything of a mate; he couldn't show weakness around her in public like this. Perhaps that was something she'd hate, but maybe her Joyan tribesman would respect if she ever did take him there.

"Thank you........" he said as he would pick her up into his arms. Not looking at her as he said this, but his feet would catch on fire; shocking Rune Knights as some readied their weapons at the sound of the dragon's roar his feet were giving off. "Hold on...you there from Fairy Tail we need a statemen---" a huge splash of flames was all that was left as with a single leap, Haru took off into the skies holding Leila soaring high into the skies. Most would feel fear at being so high off the ground as buildings literally got smaller; but Haru was just looking ahead, holding Leila close as they actually leapt all the way over Clover Lake. As an island town, it was build right in the center of the largest lake in Fiore.

Haru would actually spot a tree with eyes like a dragon and plant his feet into it firmly landing on it's trunk sideways as the leaves above him shook; nearly splintering the tree. But it was sturdy. Leaping down from his sideways landing, he would set Leila up against a rock and then sit across from her. He was going to try using a spell. The only healing spell in the magic of a dragon slayer like him. Igneel taught him to use it only in desperate times.

Sitting across from her, against his own rock. He would smile at her, as he held up a fist. Looking to it as if he were praying too it. From nowhere, a literal campfire with a soft dragon's roar would weave very slowly in a beautiful formation; and just burn with the soft roar. Eventually, the flames would actually creep over both Haru and Leila, harmlessly. Unnerving being on fire and it not harming you. Haru was surprised he was pulling it off as he'd only used it the one time he'd been taught it. Igneel said it worked off of need. This particular spell. "This is a spell called Phoenix Flame...honestly can't believe it's working." Haru said with a slight grin as he moved his hands, watching fire literally stitch wounds back together, close cuts, and make perfect skin almost like lotion in places even on his cheek. The flames would fizzle out into orange flecks as the bonfire would 'whoosh' out leaving them with the setting sun in the distance.

More Rune Knight caravans were arriving over the singular bridge into Clover Town, Haru and Leila could see that much from their back to back rock position just sitting here.

"What you saw back there......" he didn't even have any further words for her as he just looked away, resting one arm one a raised knee. Other leg outstretched toward Leila. He merely just shook his head and looked away across the lake. What other trouble would he get into with this neko. Cutting his eyes at her, he blushed a bit as she was very beautiful to him in this moment. A warrior, a woman who he could be proud to have by his side. He could never, ever let her know that. Not for a very long time in his mind due to his own pride as a warrior; but although he wouldn't say it just yet. He promised himself in this moment he'd always try to show it with his actions if he could.

"Let's just rest then, this rock is pretty comfortable damn. Hope yours doesn't suck." he said while looking away from her, inhaling the warm spring air and closing his eyes for a little bit.
