The bright sun stretching across the horizon was immensely bright, causing the red cloak upon the body of Victoria to appear much more vibrant. Her entire body appeared to look cloaked and in a loose veil of bright red, her typical tight-wearing clothing showing slightly underneath as the cloth moved slightly as she walked. Along with this, her straightened black hair cascaded down the cloak and reached just past her bottom, the upper portions being shielded by the hooded section of her red cloak in addition to the shadows being cast from it. Her face faintly could be seen from the indirect lighting that shone through the facial section of the cloak; it was faint, but her stark white skin would definitely be of notice. Sitting around her neck was a black, white, and red choker, along with a glowing crystal-looking pendant that sat just above where the cloak was fastened. What appeared to be a design of teeth upon the choker would be in reality her stuffed animal's teeth, and the necklace her ultimate weapon; two immensely powerful objects, one sentient and one that was not. It was typical for Victoria to be seen in this cloak at this time of day, as her skin would definitely pay the price if the sun truly hit it; it would not burn off, but it would hurt immensely. It was definitely unconventional, but something that came with being able to bear two sharp fangs upon her canines and The Mark of Crimson Night. Her fangs stark white with a slight red stain toward the tips as she walked, she had been freshly fed nearly two hours ago on the way to the Phoenix Mountains; however, she had a job to fulfill, that of which she had taken at Nightmare. Her situation was not necessarily the greatest as the preferred to work at night, but it would provide a decent pay and a way to waste her time.
Arriving at a fountain toward the center of a town that stood toward the exterior of the Phoenix Mountains, it was the place in which Victoria was told to meet those that were going to be attending the mission as well, being the two in which she was supposed to escort as well as someone to accompany her on the job. Sitting on the bench-portion of the fountain that stretched around in a circular style appeared to be a young man and woman, that of which looked to be in their late 20s. They looked to be in decent shape as well as hikers, most likely people that traversed mountains frequently back and forth. "Hello, the name's Victoria," the vampire began to say while strengthening the cloak that sat upon her head, "I'm one of the people escorting you across these ugly-ass mountains." Her eyes flickered bright red outside of her cloak, turning around to sit down a few feet away from the couple a few feet from where they sat on the fountain. Her opinion on these mountains were that they were ugly and too big, in which she expressed in her verbiage, but would most likely make for an interesting journey. "Schwarzbär, a chalice." she crossed her legs and watched as the choker unraveled from her neck, forming a smaller-sized version of her possessed stuffed-bear on the left side of her body. Sticking his hand down his neck, he pulled out a large chalice gold in color; that of which looked to be filled with a red liquid. Many would mistake this as wine, but it was truly blood... with essential oils added to make it smell like the alcohol. After removing the chalice he reformed into the choker once again, wrapping around her neck and tying in the back.
A small yawn followed by the sipping of the crimson fluid, the golden chalice sparkled as it the light hit it; her hands just avoiding the sunlight as they hid in the shadows of the cloak. She was just as annoyed as she was enlivened to go on this job, as she did not know what would come out of it. Friends, kills, prey? Anything was possible, especially with the other mage that was supposedly coming to assist. Sliding a red iLac out of her pocket and beginning to scroll down the tabs, Victoria clicked on one of the many books that she was reading and began to interpret the words with her eyes, she hoped it would be something that could pass time while she waited.

"Ah...I love escort missions." Darius muttered sarcastically, trudging towards the village that seemed to be situated in the middle of nowhere.
The young mercenary had found himself taking on this random mission due to the fact that he had accidentally blown a majority of his spending money on alcohol, gambling and women, all in a single weekend. So, when Darius had found a job notice that will pay him modestly and keep him from ever touching a roulette wheel ever again, he had no other choice but to accept. It can't be that bad, it's just a few days hike, Darius repeatedly thought to himself, trying not to face the indisputable fact that escort missions were, in his words "as boring as watching paint dry."
For this mission, Darius wore clothes reminiscent of his Desiertan lineage: a dark red vest, puffy white pants, and black boots. He also had a duffel bag slung across his back containing clothes, two bottles of rum, a flask of whiskey, and his trusty pipe. He smirked as he entered the town, many of the residents shocked to see a foreigner in such deserted lands, casually winking at a few of the ladies that caught his eye.
However, as the mercenary's eyes fixed itself on the fountain, the chosen location where he was supposed to meet his job partner and the two individuals they were meant to escort, a small smile emerged from his lips. Despite the fact that most of his job partner's figure was wrapped around a cloak, he could tell that he was going to be working with an attractive woman. Oh hello there, you just made this shitty mission a lot more bearable...
As Darius closed in on the fountain, the two clients stood up and walked towards him, the male ready to introduce himself, "You must be Darius Al-Sayyid, with the Trading Company. I'm Hal, and this is my wife Jenny."
However, despite their friendly introduction, Darius' golden eyes had been fixed upon the raven-haired beauty sitting by the fountain, tapping away at her iLac. The mercenary's small smile fading away as he snapped out of his small trance, "Right. Pleasure to meet you two...now, if you'll excuse me, I have to meet this gorge-"
The mercenary chuckled, clearing his throat and correcting, "I mean, my partner."
He casually dropped his duffel against the cobblestone flooring, strolling towards the mysterious woman to be his job partner, and struck up a conversation, "So, I guess you're supposed to be the woman who'll accompany me on this trek. I got the names of the two clients...but I never got yours,"
A faint grin formed on his lips as he offered his hand towards the mistress, whose features were still mostly covered against the sunlight, and introduced himself in a playfully teasing manner, "My name is Darius Al-Sayyid, with the West Fiore Trading Company. What might I call you, oh mysterious woman. I'm content with calling you beautiful, but a name would very much be appreciated."

With every small sip, the vampire's soft lips got stained more and more with the color of crimson; it made it look like she applied fresh lipstick that was not very opaque to them, it was as beautiful as it was beneficial to her body. Her fingers were gracefully scrolling through her red iLac and entirely covered by the red cloak that coated her skin from what was the sunlight; it was a pain in the ass, but it was decently stylish and comfortable to wear somewhat. Finishing her glass of blood that was in the disguise of wine, she placed it onto the surface beside her on the fountain and kept reading the book that spread across the screen. It was more of an epic poem than a book; The Odyssey by Homer, one of the many stories of the Greek gods and goddesses. Sure, the actual belief in them was extremely stupid, but reading about them was vaguely intriguing and interesting. Victoria was waiting for one individual to show up; it would be four people in this mission to make it across the mountains, not including pets and companions. She hoped that the mage would not be annoying, as she would have to result in taking away their life if they were. It was something that she found herself doing as of recently, feeding and killing; in the short time since she had joined her guild, she had found that she had slaughtered over 32 different people. The rush that came with the fight just simply felt too good to not constantly wish to go through, especially seeing her victims in pain.
Hearing a foreign voice speak as she scrolled through her iLac, she slowly panned her vision upward toward a man that was speaking to those that she was to escort on this quest. He appeared to be the mage that was assisting her in the escort; a beautiful one at that, his body screamed perfection. His tan skin mixed with his stark white hair, it was divine; her glowing red eyes marveled at the man up and down before he had spoke to her in order to introduce himself in a seductive manner. His hand was extended toward Victoria and she had taken it without hesitation; a smirk on her face and two glowing eyes that were crimson in color, she had got lucky. "If you are content with calling me beautiful, I am content in calling you handsome," she told him with shining eyes and a seductive manner, her hand meeting his toned chest and moving slowly downward as she spoke, "I am Victoria, Victoria Salvatore." Her face moved to sit right in-front of his for a brief moment before she had walked a few feet away; if he were to catch a scent upon her body, it would most likely be of strawberries with a hint of alcohol. Turned to not face any of those that she was leading on this quest, her body was angled to face that pathway that they were to take up the mountains; it was slightly rocky with trees stretching over and casting shade upon the area. The shade would allow her to remove the hood of her cloak for a little while, if she was lucky than it would until dusk.
"I want to be able to get to that tree by nighttime." pointing upward to the mountain range that stretched across the horizon very far away, an extremely large tree seemed to project outward from a flat surface of the mountain. It was most likely a halfway-point, a place where they would be able to make camp and rest in order to finish the trip the next day. "Let's go, I do not want to waste any time. Hal and Jenny, you will walk in-front of Darius and I on the trip." she told the couple without looking toward them, resulting in their bags being picked up and beginning to walk toward the covered pathway that lead up the mountains. Unfastening the choker that sat on her neck and flinging it into the air, it quickly formed into the large black and white stuffed animal that it usually took the form of; large and sharp tooth designs stretching across its mouth-area and glowing red eyes like the vampire's, Schwarzbär quickly walked over to the chalice and placed it into his mouth for storage. "He can hold your bag if you want, partner." the vampire told Darius with a smirk, as she proceeded to turn from him once again and begin walking a few meters behind the traveling couple like she had requested them to do so. If Darius would accept, the stuffed bear would walk over to the white-haired boy and carry the duffel bag for him; if he would decline, the bear would simply follow behind Victoria and play with a red ribbon.

Darius failed to hide the sly smile that was forming on his lips as the cloaked woman didn't hesitate to shake his hand. His attempt at hitting on his mission partner also being met with a similar, seductive teasing. By the great Desert, I've hit the damn jackpot. This woman is gorgeous He thought to himself. The way she spoke was gorgeous, smooth, and sweet, much like the wine that she was drinking. Her hands trailed down his bare chest, much to the pleasant surprise of the man. "I think I can live with that." He replied, a smirk resting on his lips.
She introduced herself as Victoria Salvatore, to which Darius simply responded with, "Well, it's a pleasure to meet you, Victoria." And as she walked away, he caught a whiff of the intoxicating strawberry smell that she flaunted. With a grin on his face, he followed after her. She had gone to Hal and Jenny, and expressed the destination she wanted to be by nightfall. Last Darius checked, it was a little past 12 in the afternoon, leaving around 7 hours of time to trek to Victoria's desired destination. It seemed like a reasonable goal to set, although a various assortment of critters, bandits, and the like beset their path, so whether or not they would actually reach the tree was up in the air.
"Will do, Miss Salvatore." Hal said, a chipper smile on his face. He seemed a nice lad, broad shouldered, brown tousled hair, a few years older than Darius. His wife, Jenny also nodded too. She said with a sincere tone, "We'd just like to thank you for escorting us around these mountains. It's getting a little dangerous for my husband and I, due to the vulcans and bandits."
Darius simply shrugged in response, and saying with his signature smirk, "As long as you're paying us, we won't let them touch a hair on either of your pretty faces."
The two began to walk ahead, as Victoria had instructed them to, leaving Darius with the enamouring red-eyed woman. His brow raised in curiosity as she removed her choker and threw it, the accessory forming into a large...teddy bear? Though, teddy bear implies that it's cute and cuddly, but in Darius' eyes the large bear looked unbearably creepy. However, regardless of Darius' feelings toward what he surmised to be a possessed toy, Victoria had offered to have it carry his stuff. Darius nodded in response, throwing his duffel bag to the bear, hoping it would catch it.
He then caught up to his partner, once again smelling the scent of strawberries as he reached her. "This trip is going to take a few days," Darius began, his yellow eyes meeting her red, "It'd be nice to get to know one another while we're here...you know, intimately." He coyly smiled, before brushing off his pass at her playfully, "You know, for the mission."
Darius chuckled, nonchalantly looking up and down her cloak and then asking outright, "For starters, I'd like to know why you're wearing a cloak out in 12 in the afternoon. If it's for the whole mysterious, enchanting vibe, I'll say it worked. You've got me enticed. They'd continue walking, every once in a while, Darius' eyes glancing over at the couple ahead, ensuring that they were safe and sound.
