    Job Information:

Poko had just been through a rough couple hours, sitting through the thunder and lightning. The day had started off so well too, before they had left Paradise everything seemed to be so sunny and great. However as soon as they took the portal back to magnolia, they had become drenched to the bone from the rain and the lightning and thunder had sent Poko into a complete panic. Luckily Quill had taken charge and found a place for them to rest while they waited for the storm to pass. When they had first knocked on the door, the owners had been quite taken aback to see them out in the storm and had let them in without hesitation. It wasn't perfect, it was just a simple house, but it was enough to make her feel a little safer and calm herself a bit.

Unfortunately,  it had taken quite a beating during the stormy weather, there were a number of holes in the roof, meaning it would need re-shingling and the gutters would require re-securing as some of it was now dangling from the roof. They were still checking out more of the house to see what else would need fixing, as they were informed by some members of Fairy Tail, a nearby guild, that they would have to be quick on the repairs as Magnolia was expecting yet another storm soon. Poko offered to go and get the supplies for the roof and gutters, while the others would continue to see what would need fixing, as to save time.

She took Zephyr along with her, she was fairly certain she could carry most of the supplies necessary with her wind magic so it shouldn't be too much of an issue to go alone. However, upon arriving at the hardware store, the owner informed her that they were quite limited on supplies at the moment due to everyone fixing up their own homes. She thanked the store owner for the information and hurried back with the new shingles and the tools needed to secure the gutters in place, to let them know they had to be fast to get any other supplies before they were sold out.

After he and Poko got into somewhere less stormy they had meet the owners of the place who seemed ready for the storm, large branches were slamming into the window so they said to go to the cellar for safety. Poko had looked like a small child who didn't know what thunder, so he has to confer her until the storm had ended, then he remembered stormfang didn't come inside though he would be fine, his species love storms and they get insane amount of good luck while in a storm. I had been a few hours but the storm finally died down and the sun was out, Quill had went outside to stretch for a but before checking out how much damage the house had taken during the storm.

Quill took a look at the house once the storm had ended, unfortunately the house had taken some damage, most of the ruffing was ripped of the house and it seemed that some branches had busted though some of the windows. Stormfang had charge right into Quill's gut knocking him into a puddle while he licked Quill's face with joy. Quill did asked Stormfang if he had fun in the storm, then Quill had notice what the owners of the house were doing. It seemed that the people had replacement windows ready but didn't have the material to repair or reinforce the house, he then asked Quill and Poko if they could help with repairs, Quill agreed because they helped them when they needed it. Quill was then informed that another storm was coming, Quill didn't want to leave the people that helped them out before the next storm had hit. There was a log in the main road but Quill moved that easy, the owner asked to bring back materials for repair and some reinforcement for the windows so there would be less broken winds. Quill agreed, and walk to the town close by the house.

Once they had reach the town it seemed to had taken more damage then the house did, the towns people were all working together to repair the town and they were doing it faster then most towns he had seen after hearing a second storm was coming, Quill then said," Didn't know there were towns like this, wait, they said this is the home town of Fairy Tail right. Well that explains why they all look so calm about this, there town has been destroyed some many times that they are used to it by now." Quill then looked at Poko and asked her if she was okay from what he had seen last night, that during that storm she looked like she was ready to pass out from fear.

While Poko would never admit it she had been more than happy to be comforted during the storm by Quill. She hadn't felt as terrified as she normally did, but then again, normally her and Zephyr had nothing but a mere cave to protect them from the harsh winds and rain of a thunderstorm. Poko had giggled at Quill falling in the puddle, Stormfang licking him all over before going to get the roofing supplies. After getting back she found out about the tree smashing through the windows and porch.

Poko had followed Quill back into town to collect the timber they were going to require for the front porch, by the looks of things it was going to be easier just to replace the whole thing rather than repair it. Poko hadn't noticed before Quill mentioned it, but the locals did seem quite calm over the whole deal, "I guess so, I didn't think a guild would destroy their own home town, but it seems it's sort of the usual deal around here." Poko glanced around, trying to remember the streets, "The hardware store is just down this street." She said pointing to the left.

Sure enough they were soon facing a large hardware store and it seemed to be even busier than when Poko picked up the shingles earlier. People were pushing and shoving to get the supplies they needed before others, to ensure their house would be done in time. At one point someone shoved Poko so hard she slipped and fell flat on her face, not having enough time to react and use her magic to stop her fall.  Poko thought hard, as they made their way over to where the planks were. The owner of the house they were fixing, Josh Weathersteins, had mentioned the particular type of wood he wanted, but Poko had only been half listening.

"Was it massaranduba or cambura?" Poko asked once they reached the variety of wood planks available for purchase. She new it was a dark red wood, but the name was lost on her. Honestly, she didn't know the different between the types of wood and what was better for what, so she looked at Quill, hoping he had the answer. Oh wait! She'd totally forgotten she'd made a list, she pulled it out and read it outloud. "Water-proofing wood finish...Nails... Wooden Planks." Poko facepalmed herself with the hand not holding the list, annoyed at herself for not writing down the wood type.

Quill then saw something he would never have seen before in his life, a crowd of people at a hardware store, strangest thing he has seen. Poko had asked him about two different woods, he simply said," I will get the wood you get the nails and finisher, if we split up we can work faster and get the repairs done before the second storm hits." Quill literally had to fight though a crowd of people who were trying to get the wood planks as well, once they had gotten all the materials they needed they would head back to the house though it seemed that someone of the other travelers that had gotten to the towns pub and were drinking though the whole storm.

The travelers were piss drunk and seem to delaying the work of some of the towns peoples repairs, Quill was carrying all the planks of wood when one of the drunks came their way, he was talking about how pretty Poko was then try to touch her chest. Quill did put down the planks and slam the guy into the ground making a small crater where the drunk got slammed then told Poko that they should hurry and get to that house, Quill had a feeling the storm might be there soon but Quill was horrible at weather predictions. The drunks friends had picked him up and said that they won't forget Quill's face but he took that as a empty threat because they were piss drunk and by the time the sober up they wouldn't even know who did it. Quill had said sorry to the towns people for making a crater in their road, they said they were fine ask long as he doesn't destroy a building while he is there. Quill had picked the planks back up and walked to the house which seemed to feel longer then the way to the town.

They had returned to the house with the material they had asked the owner if they had a ladder or something, lucky for Quill they did but Quill needs to rest a bit before starting to work. Quill had taken off his jacket and outer shirt for a bit to cool off, there was a cool breeze and that did hell cool Quill off for a bit, Quill then asked one of the owners," Hey do you know anything about that Fairy Tail guild, what i am told is that they basically are a magnet to disaster like one of their members had planned to destroy the town because he wanted to be guild master, or the giant wyvern that was sounded like one of their dragon slayers then got destroyed by the same guy that sounded like him, or with another guild with a giant castle robot thing. Also heard from that same guild that they got two members from the guild they had fought, he was a dragon slayer to? Sorry if im probing you for questions, i just needed to know what the guild is like, I am not from around this part of the world." Quill had stopped asking questions and had started to work on repairs and reinforcing the house for the second storm that was coming soon.

When Quill told Poko to get the nails and wood finish, she saluted him with an "On it boss!" sticking her tongue out at him in a childlike fashion before running off to find them. It took her a while to find the nails and finisher, they were in completely different parts of the store, but once she had them she happily found Quill who already had the planks in hand. They paid for the supplies before heading back to the Weathersteins' house, Poko was practically skipping till a drunk man approached her.

"Hey there, pretty cute thing, how about we go somewhere fun." he chuckled as he cat-called her which made Poko blush, but in an awkward, leave me the hell alone way as she hid her small frame behind Quill. Unfortunately, that didn't seem to phase the man, who just stepped closer, reaching out towards her, "Awe, no need to be afraid." Poko closed her eyes as the man reached out towards her, however she didn't feel anyone touch her, instead she heard the planks hit the stone of the road and next thing a loud smash. She opened her eyes to see Quill standing over the drunken man who was now laying in a small crater. Poko panicked as his friends noticed them, but Quill simply ignored them, so she did the same, making sure to stick to him like glue for the entire journey back, she wanted to thanks him, but she was still so embarrassed over the whole thing she couldn't bring herself to talk about it.

When they got back, Quill was taking a break after carrying the planks the whole way back, he was asking Mr Weathersteins about Fairy Tail, Poko pricked up her ears as she started working on removing the old bits of porch, to make room for the new one. "Well, they're a bunch of miscreants," the man started, sounding a little annoyed, "But they've saved our city countless times and when they do destroy bits and pieces of the town, they always fix it after. I guess you can say we're all sort of used to their shenanigans by now. As for the exact happenings, I don't really pay too much attention to it myself, you might be better off asking some of the locals at the bar, I hear they have the latest gossip on the guild." He finished, hoping that would be enough to satisfy Quill's thirst for knowledge about the guild.

By the time he'd finished Poko had cleared the last of the old porch out of the way using her magic, ready to start the actual rebuilding process. First Poko went to check Zephyr, he was always able to predict storms for her, she wasn't sure how but he was correct about it. Zephyr seemed happy enough and not worried yet, so they still had plenty of time. Still they would need all the help they could get to truly finish before the next storm hit. Poko sighed a bit, knowing that this might cause issues, but it really was going to be the fastest way to get things done.

Poko closed her eyes and began the chant, "Hold it together, birds of a feather, nothing but lies and crooked wings. Oh. Fly over me evil angel. Open your wings evil angel." as she finished, a black puff of smoke burst from nothingness and as it cleared, there stood Xiolan, the fallen angel. She stretched out her dirty-grey wings as she looked around. "Good." She simply stated after she was certain they were in Earth Land and not that boy's world. However she narrowed her eyes as she spotted Quill, what was he still doing with Poko? She grit her teeth, obviously annoyed as she turned to Poko, "Master, what the hell is this? Why is he still here?" she hissed pointing at the dark blond boy nearby. "Silence, Xiolan, I didn't call you here to argue, I called for help, now if you'd please we're repairing this lovely home after we were given refuge here, so please be a darling and help us."

The dark angel, glared at Quill again, before silently rolling her eyes at Poko, awaiting her instructions, she'd help, but only as long as Poko gave her very explicit commands. "I'd like you to fix the roof while we do the porch, that way we can get it all done at once." Poko started, "So first of all you're going to take the new shingles and repair them carefully so that it wont leak in the next storm, when you're done with that, you'll be in charge of fixing the gutter but ensuring it too will work as it's supposed to." Poko finished with a smirk. Xiolan gritted her teeth and simply nodded, flying over to collect the shingles and begin working on the roof as she was told. Once Poko was satisfied that Xiolan was doing as she asked, she turned to Quill, "Okay we can get started on repairing this porch now, where do we begin?" She asked, she honestly wasn't sure, she had never had to do something like this before.

Quill got up the get to work, it seems that Poko had summon her 'friend' to help out as well but she then said something rude that almost made Quill loss it and attack her but he didn't. Quill saw that the porch just needed some pillars to be replace and some boards to but that wasn't Quill's job at the moment, the owners wanted him to board up the windows of every floor of the house. It was a two story house but it had 15 windows as a whole house, it normally takes 5 or 6 planks to cover a window of their size and Quill would need 4 nails per board so he did the math. He used 6 as the second multiplier, he would need 360 nails in total to get all the boards up.

Quill had gotten the later and started to board up the windows, it was a normal chore but it was a time factor on account that there was a storm coming for a second hit. The hard part was that he started on the top floor which had the less amount of windows but he had to clime down the latter to get a single board each time, it took the longest time for him to finish a window, 15 minutes for each window. It didn't help that the 'angle' kept trying to knock him down which took another 5 minutes. The owners in the mean time were either stocking up food or putting away anything that would break easy, they were also helping out Poko and the 'angle with the porch and roof. He didn't complain that he was working alone but he was going to start to if the 'angle' kept trying to knock him off the latter and trying to get him injured. The 'angle' goes in for one more knock but Quill catches her and scream," POKO TELL YOUR GOD DAMN ANGLE TO STOP TRYING TO KNOCK ME OFF THE LATTER, IF SHE DOES IT AGAIN IM GOING TO MAKE HER INTO A WINGLESS ANGLE!!!"

Quill then went back to work on boarding up the windows, he finally finished the top floor and had started the first floor. It was a lot faster only taking 5 minutes for each window, and he didn't almost get knocked off the latter while hammering the nails in. Quill then finished up the last board, he had removed his shirt by then because 15 minutes of climbing up and down a latter then hammering in 4 nails for one board at a time was more energy consuming then fighting was at this point. He then sat down for a bit with only window left, one of the owners had shown up to check on his work, Quill then asked," I do have a few more questions that i was answer, they say that Fairy Tail has 4 dragon slayers and three of them has a cat like creator that can create wings for them self and one that has a battle mode, is this true?" He had heard of a story about a world where the humans used to much of their worlds magic and could no longer use it like he and Poko could, he had also heard that this world holds people that are that worlds version of you normally as a opposite version of yourself, this is where the cats were born and had populated. It was strange to thing that there is a different world that is opposite his own, though he didn't believe that it was a fake world, look at Quill he had a key that let him go to a paradise world.

Xiolan didn't appreciate being used for such a menial task, what the hell was Poko thinking, forcing her to do manual labour, she was a being built for combat, not this awful work. However, she couldn't refuse a command and simply started repairing the roof as she'd been asked. It wasn't long before she had spotted Quill, that awful boy that was hanging around Poko for some reason. The angel did not appreciate his attitude towards here, not one bit. When she noticed him working quite closely to her, she would occasionally stretch her a wing out in his direction in an attempt to knock him off the ladder he was using for support. For the most part it seemed to be slowing him down at least and infuriating him, which she utterly enjoyed.

Poko meanwhile had been carefully putting together the porch, nailing in the new planks where necessary, ensuring it would be sturdy enough to withstand the next storm. She was about a quarter of the way through when she heard Quill yell at her to control Xiolan. Poko rolled her eyes, of course the angel wasn't going to just sit by and let them work in peace. "Xiolan stop disrupting Quill." She commanded, much to Xiolan's displeasure. She was already forced to be silent and now she couldn't even enjoy herself by annoying Quill, typical. At least her time up in this realm was coming to an end, she couldn't be forced here forever. The Angel would however, impress Poko by completing the roof and gutters before signalling she was done to her master and disappearing into a cloud of black smoke.

Poko was glad to see that at least it was all coming together, and quite a lot faster than she had anticipated, they would have no trouble finishing before the next storm hit at this rate. Poko noticed Quill was taking a break and decided to do the same, making her way over to him as he asked the owner some more questions. Poko carefully listened in, not wanting to miss any important information.

"Hmm.." The owner scratched his chin, "I'm not entirely sure on the numbers, but I am aware they at least have a few dragon slayers, or at least used to. I don't really pay much mind to the guild, but I have seen those flying, talking cats you mentioned about, hard to miss those really." John finished as he took his leave, seeing that the work was coming along quite nicely. Poko wondered if the flying cats might be somehow related to Zephyr, maybe they might know what he was or where he'd come from, not that it really mattered. All that mattered to here was that Zephyr was here and he was her friend. Poko wondered why Quill was so interested in Fairy Tail, could he be considering joining the guild? That didn't really seem like him, but for all she knew that could be the case.

After taking the short break Poko got back to work, the main decking and timber framing of the porch was complete, it just needed to be coated with oil now to make it water resistant. The young female opened the tin and got to work using careful strokes with a paintbrush, ensuring she completely covered the wood and there would be no gaps where water could seep in. It would take more than one coat, she planned to do three to be certain, but she had to wait in between for the coating to dry, so she sat around during this time, enjoying the breeze as it passed by.

Quill then started to put the water proof finisher on as well for the windows, it seemed to dry faster then Quill had though. Quill had finished the top floor windows in about 10 minutes, the wind seemed to pick up a little but there was still no clouds yet, it would take about twice as long for the bottom floor because of the amount of windows. He had finished up the last of the windows and the finisher dried off fast, the owner had rewarded their efforts to help repair and prepare their home before the next storm. Quill then asked if Poko would like towait out the storm in Paradise and waited to see how she responds to his question.

Poko simply nodded at Quill, the idea of staying and sticking out another storm was not idea, at least she'd have somewhere to go now whenever one was brewing. The young girl took one more look around to ensure the work they'd done would be enough to withstand the storm, everything looked to be in place. Honestly Poko would have been fine without being paid for her work, they had after all gave them refuge from the previous storm, but she also wasn't one to turn down a gift from someone, so she took the reward graciously. Poko called to Zephyr, he'd spent the entire day playing around with Stormfang and Ava, having a total blast jumping in the puddles and splashing each other, much to the discomfort of the cleaner drake. Zephyr was covered in mud from head to toe making Poko groan as she quickly covered her face, knowing what was about to happen. The rabbit-like creature shook his fur, sending mud flying in all direction, coating Poko and the others in droplets of dirty water. Poko apologised profusely to the owner, but he laughed it off and headed inside his home to wash himself off after bidding the duo and their pets farewell. Poko then took out her blue key, wanting to be the one to open the portal this time, she turned it in the air, creating a doorway into Paradise. Poko simply skipped through with a smile at Quill as she entered the other world, happy she had at least helped one family today.
