Job Requirements: Investigate the forests and try to pin down the point where the spiders are coming from. Also, gather information as to why this is happening from the Environmental advocates who stand in your way, but do not let them stand in your way. You do have a job to do, and remember, no killing allowed!

Job Description:
After exterminating local nests in the forests by the outposts, and removing infestations from three different homes, you hear tell of the problem's cause being deeper in the forest. The guild asks you to continue investigating. In this job, you must head directly into the thick forest. At first, its a tropical forest, all the exotic nature and wildlife as expected, with a few small spider nests. Then you will reach thicker forest where the trees seem to be filled with spider nests, stagnant grey clouds of webbing which streak and crisscross in the canopy above. The large nests above contain larger more dangerous species of the aggressive spiders. The spiders are large enough to be poisonous and are about the size of rats. As you continue onward, Environmental advocate members again try to stop you using bear traps to send you from your task. Defeat but do not kill the advocates to find the source of the spider infestations and troubles. The last advocate you meet is more powerful and willing to use magic, but she is also the one with the information that you need. Disarm her and extract the information from her. If you do, you will learn that she is an advocate leader trying to gather information on the spiders and their group is dedicated to keeping the Oni Spiders protected. You will learn that the Oni Spiders are gathering in a large supernatural event. She believes there is a much larger spider entity in the forest telling the spiders what to do. Take this information back to the guild.

Small Oni Spider Swarm x5:They take 3 D rank hits to take down if they are gathered in an infestation swarm, and 4 D rank hits to take down if they are gathered in a nest. Destroying a nest will set loose a swarm of the spiders unless the nest is burned with fire. Being bitten by spiders causes numbness and swelling of the area during the first post, and possible infection by the second. Both posts will cause 2 D Rank damage.

Normal:
Large Oni Spider Swarm x3:They take 2 C rank hits to take down if they are gathered in an infestation swarm, and 3 C rank hits to take down if they are gathered in a nest. Destroying a nest will set loose a swarm of the spiders unless the nest is burned with fire. Being bitten by spiders causes dizziness and nausea of the area during the first post, and limb paralysis by poison by the second post. Both posts will cause 1 C Rank damage each.

Strong:
Environmental advocates x3: They claim increased spider activity is due to weather or increased pheromones and implore you to not damage the nests or the natural activity of the spiders. They say the spiders are of a rare type called the Oni Spiders and are crucial to the environment's well being. Many of the advocates are non violent and will simply need to be persuaded to stay out of the way while you do your work. Few others may resort to violence in an effort to protect the arachnids. Violent advocates will do C rank damage depending on their strike and they carry daggers, clubs, staffs and set out bear traps to ambush you or slow you down. They take 4 C rank hits to take down.

Environmental advocate leader x1: Her name is Arana Tarantola and she has been invested in these spiders for a decade as a scientist and a mage. The middle aged woman is seeing the Oni spider event of a lifetime and doesn't plan to miss it or let anyone else get in the way. Her research has shown possibilities of a much larger "Queen or King" spider controlling the smaller spiders like "workers". Arana will get in your way, try to lie to you, argue with you, and fight you to keep her precious Oni spiders and their continued proliferation safe.
Her abilities:

• Poison mist lacrima: When thrown or dropped, they open and release a poisonous gas in a 15m radius centered on the lacrima itself. It deals 1 C rank damage.
  
• Summon large spider swarm: With all her work, the spiders come at her call in large swarms. Use the large swarm information above. Arana can only summon up to 3 swarms total in the thread.
  
• Transform appendages: With this spell cast, Arana can change her arms into spider pincers. They act like blades and can deal B rank damage.
  
• Web Spit: Arana can spit clumps of web from her mouth with the ability to hold or restrain whatever the web lands on. This is on a small scale and can include 1 foot, 1 weapon, or 1 limb in general, at a time. The web needs 1 C rank hit or fire to break, but Arana can do this up to 6 times in a thread.
