Mythica seemed just as eager as the God of Blood was for the showing that the Rune Knights were most assuredly going to have tonight. Knowing that one of the Eleven Sinners was attacking a village, let alone also some other that was fighting with him, was sure to cause them to at least bring a small army if they wished to even think about taking him either dead or alive. It would be shortly after she spoke that the sounds of the footsteps would begin to be heard in the air. The Sight of Suicide would make a angry metallic noise that could be seen as a territorial growl even as the sound of the encroaching militants began to surround them from all sides. Would they bring god slayers? Or were they still in denial about what he truly was? It would be safe for them to at least bring one, just in case, as they had no way other than faith to believe what he really was. Chaoris would keep his bloodied battle rage just barely contained, his body almost shaking with the anger and rage he held within the physical form that was almost too weak to contain the holy war being. Soon he could let it all loose, as there seemed to be dozens of Rune Knights surrounding them from all sides. They really had brought a small army, though it would be a shame that they would have to cut them down here and now considering the coward approach they tried to pull off at the start.
How dare they try and get them to stand down and surrender! Did they not remember the last time they had tried something like that? It was before he had ascended, when he was simply a man with extreme schizophrenia with a hyper god complex as well as a magic that backed up his claims! Him and his 'champion' at the time had killed a cowardly hostage taker before attacking the cowards that had allowed themselves to be captured so easily. Because of this they Rune Knights had tried to get him and Sharp to surrender, though that had ended with bloodied streets inside of Era. Now, even though he had ascended to be a god for the concepts he was now over, they tried to get him to do so again! Fools, cowards, heretics! When Mythica made her bet Chaoris Orneis, the God of Blood, Skulls, Honor, and Battle would gladly take it! The roar that left his lips was accompanied by The Sight of Suicides as well, startling the group that was not surprised by Mythica's leap to action.
The first few that were before him would never get a chance to react to him after his battle cry rang out, being cut to pieces by both of his weapons even as The Sight of Suicide did a lunging leap into a small crowd of unprepared Rune Knights that would be shredded beneath powerful metal claws. The claws cut through the armor like a sharpened, heated, sword cut through a stick of butter. Teeth, like long needles, would clamp over necks to take off heads even as Chaoris released a small burst of explosive bullets into a crowd of Rune Knights that had been lining up to barrage the two dark mages and his pet with magic and crossbow bolts. The Commander, having been smart enough to mix himself further into the ranks, could be heard shouting orders loud enough for the God of Blood to get a general idea of where he was.
"SOS! Slaughter! Shed blood where you see fit! Kill as many of these cowardly souls as you deem fit! Cover your hide in blood as I fight their commander and cut out the roots of their organization and strategy! Changing Blood Fangs size to the size of a standard long sword would throw off the defensive dodge that the Rune Knight he charged had tried, the man being cut in half at the waist because of it, even as the armor-clad monster of a being made his way through the massive group of mages that flung spells, swung swords, and shot at him with guns and arrows. Most of the shots simply glanced off of his armor, others piercing through to lightly strike his body and simply make him more powerful and even angrier than he was every moment for it.
"Bring your commander to me! Fight me in single combat! Show these cowards your bravery and defeat me in mortal combat to save them all! Strike me down yourself and you will never have to worry about me again! Best me with a sword and show them why you are the leadership for these poor, unfortunate, souls sent out here on a fool's errand!" Those simple words were enough to break some of the people here fighting them, those that managed to do so would halt long enough to find themselves show in the head even as he never broke his stride towards the voice of the commander as it became more panicked as he moved.
"Fight him back! He is no god, he will fall here and now! Casters, fire elemental shots now! Holders, prepare the shield line! Slayers! Prepare yourselves! We know not what he truly is, so do not eat anything you do not know to be anything other than purely what you are meant to eat! If the shield line falls I will go forward and fight him! Do that and fall back, no more of you will need to die if he proves to be unbeatable today!" The commander of these Rune Knights seemed to believe that they could stop these two beings that had attacked Peace Village. Did they really think that a plausible idea? Chaoris would be glad to prove to this man that there was no way to stop them now!
The elemental, and a few non-elemental, spells that flew at him had a few light spells mixed in, and between that and the blood he had absorbed he was dangerously close to releasing his true form for them to deal with. The slaughter of the shield line was something that would be written in history books, not one of the holder mages was able to block a single attack from the God of Blood as he released a series of lighting-fast attacks that caught each and every one of them off guard as they faced down the face of his helmet as he did so. With them out of the way they caster and slayer mages would begin to volley at him as they tried to back off from his charge so that the commander could take their place. Nearly all of them would fall by his weapons, one being exsanguinated by his perfect control over blood because of them being out of range for him to shoot with everyone else in the way. One of the few that survived to get another spell cast off at him was the light mage again, and this time the God of Blood's physical body would no longer be able to contain his power. The fleshy body he had created for himself gave way in a burst of blood and gore as a brazen clad form took its place. He was taller now, nine foot at the least, and his sword had gone back to the greatsword it had looked like before. Armor was the same though was completely brazen instead of the normal steel and cloth it seemed to be.
"Fools! You bring demise upon yourselves! You have allowed my true form to partially come forth into your realm! Prepare for death, prepare for slaughter!" His voice now echoed well beyond what it had done when he had announced their presence before, and there was no way he was going to be quieter from this point on.
The rest of the mages would simply 'pop' as he removed them from between himself and what appeared to be the commander, a man that seemed to be stressed beyond what most would normally be able to withstand without passing out. The leading Rune Knight must have known he was about to die, as he simply charged Chaoris Orneis as he seemed to put a bunch of enchantments on his two blades. Sadly the fight would be a disappointing one, the Rune Knight's weapons simply being sliced to peaces with the raw brute force that the God put between the swing of Blood Fang. The look of surprise on the man's face was pathetic as he took a chainsaw to the stomach before being kicked off of the whirring blade like some kind of stray pup that had gotten in the way. The man's body would hit the ground without another noise that could be heard throughout the battle, and Chaoris would look for his next victims when he saw that Mythica was dealing with and doing to stop it. It was a wonderful thing to watch, reversing a seal they tried to wrest upon her, and now they would die for their attempt. The God's gun would shoot a single bullet between the three of them as they lay there defenseless, the explosive round leaving them as scorch marks and chunks on the ground before he nodded to Mythica and proceeding to clear out the rest of the trash that was poking at them with spear and sword. Soon the fight would be over and they could declare this ordeal as completely finished.
Blood would be everywhere, bodies and gear as well, as he mopped up what he could find due to the casualties that his pet and the clock-eyed girl had wracked up as well. It seemed like this fight would be finished without anyone living to tell about it, save for those that managed to survive by not being found in the village. They were not going to stick around to find every single one of them, there were better things to do at that point, and Chaoris would not try to stay for too much longer due to his 'mortal' body becoming a thing of the past as he entered what other slayers called 'force' for their magic. They would say they could freely cast their spells, though Chaoris already did that as he used his own holy blood to do such, and said that they were stronger than they usually were. The last part was true, given he lost his mortal form to take on a glimpse of his true self in the realm of mortals, but even then there was not likely to be a match for him here. Once he had taken his share of the kills, leaving some more for his new found ally to deal with, he would move to the body of the commander before taking his skull from his body. It would be a good trophy to scatter at the foot of his throne in the realm he fully controlled. He wondered if more would come, if others would come across them and try to stop them, or try and make them surrender again.
The God would await for Mythica to come back to him, so that he could hear anything she might ask or say before he made his leave if nothing else came across their path. If something else did happen he would gladly enter into the fray again, even if it was some kind of cowardly lot that was just here for the leftovers of the bodies or trying to enslave the survivors that made it through the attack on Peace Village. Of course, he would have no issue with slaughtering people like that. They served other gods a good chunk of the time, and used the gear and slaves for depraved acts that none deserved to bare witness to. Actually, maybe he would wait for something like that to arrive. Surely some other gods had seen what had gone down just now and would try and claim some of the glory for themselves. It would be a good lesson to teach them, to not claim stuff that another god had been the cause of.
