'You have to get a passport, Adalinda!' 'You have to get one! Or you can't do any jobs.' 'Come on, Adalinda. Get your passport already!' 'Just go do it to get it over with!' That's all everyone was telling Adalinda these days. She growls and throws her hands up in the air as she walks on towards the end of the line to go and get herself a passport at the docks Hargeon town. She had Shellton use torpedo to get her from Divide Island to halfway to Fiore, then Tamaria did a good chunk of the rest till a short distance from the shore, in which Shellton took over once more and flew her up to the port of Hargeon.
Adalinda had her hands crossed over her chest and was hunched over her as she grumbled to herself. Tamaria had ditched her to go look at things in some shops, so she was alone standing in a line now, only to get a stupid little book that said she was officially legal to travel. She could just use Tamaria to travel around, or Shellton. This was outrageous to the dragon slayer mage. She hated having to sit here in line. It was far too long. "Someone hurry the hell uuuuuup!" She groans as she gets glared at from ahead of her.
Everyone here was grumpy about the wait. There were families of seven all in line together as a big mass, obscuring the proper lines from everyone. There were old people moving slower than snails, other people chatting up their partners or people behind them, holding up the lines and causing others to start shoving people. Adalinda was swearing that they would need to have some security going on to get this thing over and done with.
She let up an annoyed groan as she was shoved from behind. It was too hot today for this. At least she was glad it wasn't raining. Or at least not yet. She was shoved again and she growls a little while she looks back. Her sharp, ice blue, eyes glares back only to see a child behind her giggling as he shoved at her again. Great. All she needed, a kid thinking he was a wise guy and trying to shove her about. She was shoved again. "Hey. Stop it kid. It's not nice to push." She growls down to the kid, but the kid didn't listen and shoved her again. She then turns around and glares down at him, before glowering up at the two people behind him. "Are you two this kids caretakers?" She growls at them. They looked frightened as Adalinda let her eyes go into slits to them. "Control your damn kid and stop him from touching others." She whips back around as the noise around her was getting louder as the people were getting even grumpier than before. Some people were even shouting at the people behind the counter that they're taking far too long.
Nearby, in the line next to the one Adalinda was in, a fight between a brute of a man, and a man just a tad less of a brute, were starting to duke it out, all because of a space in a line. She grits her teeth as she heard a few women screeching over how close they were getting to them. With a roll of her eyes, she let out her own roar and quickly used her fist to throw it at one of their faces before she used her other arm had shifted into that of a khopesh and hooks onto the ankle of the other man before she yanks him and makes him fall flat on his face. This caused a hush in the crowd as all eyes had went on the mage. She removed her spell and glares at the two. "It's a stupid... fucking.... line... Get in it. Everyone is tired. Everyone is hot. Everyone is exhausted. You're just pissing me off. Shut up. Stay quiet in line. And wait your damn turn." She growls at them as she lets her eyes go into slits.
She turns on her heel and walks right back to the line she had been in before, but the people were backing away from her. "Just go on ahead and get your passport." The woman who was behind her with the kid had said, and the following people who had been ahead of her, agreed. Adalinda snickers as she walks on towards the front of the line. When she makes it to the front, she looks to the person behind the counter, and sighs. "You need to get more organization in here... and maybe some Rune Knights or Guards or something... More fights will happen if they already hadn't." She tells the shaking woman as she quickly fills out Adalinda's passport and hands it to Adalinda, wanting her to get out of there quick. "Let it be known, though... I stopped a fight... No need to be scared. I can't tarnish my guild... so give me some more credit..." She rolls her eyes and takes a deep breath. This day just wasn't her day apparently as she walked off with the stupid book that had people getting hyped up for and cranky and whatever other emotion this could bring. She was at least done and over with this stress, that's all that matters.
