    Job Info:
Oh god… what was this? The moment that Mura woke up from his slumber, something began emitting light from his palms. A black light - contradictive - from his left and a white light from his right… they were the two symbols, the Yin and the Yang, that reacted to something. He could feel the intense feeling boil up inside of him - a wild instinct calling to him. It was weird - he had never experienced this feeling before. “K-K-Kyuken… Zirc-conis… hey, guys, guys..!” he called his ghost buddies, “W-What’s going on… I’m shaking like crazy…” Kyuken and Zirconis could see the vibrating skin crawl up to Mura’s forehead, a constant quake that infuriated the shaman. What was this? Was he catching a cold? Then how could that explain the light from his palms?

He decided to discuss the issue with his guildmates as he went out, but before he took a step, a flyer covered his face. “Umph,” he coughed as he grabbed the flyer and took a brief look. It mentioned a call for help as Crescent Island - the island northwest of Fiore with the shape of a crescent moon - was in a state of emergency due to a huge fire. It also mentioned a ravaging kitsune… and as soon as he read that up, the paper suddenly began to emit sparks until it burnt away. “N-No, wait, what…!?” he commented all confusingly, “… Okay, what in the world is happening?”

Kyuken and Zirconis couldn’t but spectate the worried shaman as they spoke:

    “Quite a cold he has…”
“That’s not a cold, you dimwit. It’s obviously connected to that island… didn’t you see the-“
“I’m pretty sure that catching a cold does the same thing to him. You know, magic and all-“
“L-Listen, you know him better than I do, right? Isn’t he one of those… uhh, what were they called again? Onmyōji?”
”O-Oh, yeah, that’s right! He’s the Onmyōji… what does that have to do with the case?”
“… Frankly, I’m not sure, but let’s ask him.”

The dragon ghost would fly over to Mura and suggest: “Your magic is being weird, right… try and focus. What exactly triggers all of this? What thoughts and feelings are playing with your powers…?” Mura glanced at him then understood immediately - focus and calm thoughts were where he was at home, and if there was something that he excelled at, then it was to focus (to some extent). Closing his eyes, he let his magic flow freely, brainstorming today’s thoughts and duties that he had… maybe it was because of the confusing feelings themselves… maybe he was forgetting something important, and his magic tried to remind him- nope, as soon as the kitsune from the paper came to mind, his magic brightened up.

“I think that I know now…” he spoke up as confidently as ever, “Zirconis, pervert, we’re going to Crescent Island. Now.”

Alright, black-orange gi - check! Harusame - check! Futsu no Mitama sword - check! Short cloak with tomoe - check! Headphones - check! With that, he managed to gain entry to a large boat that was preparing a rescue mission to Crescent Island. The boat needed manpower and wizards, and Mura was far from alone; wizards from Fiore and Ca-Elum were gathered in the boat, approximately 7, and whilst Mura was steering the sails with one hand, he knew little of the exact identities of his companies…

    The White Witch

The wind was sailing past the girl’s small form, her breath slowly running out. She wasn’t even sure for how long has she been running now, though it probably wasn’t that long. After all, she was not exactly the most athletically gifted individual, given her fragile body. Especially as a mage, where most could reinforce themselves with magic, she was just about as breakable as a masterfully crafted porcelain vase. One push, fall, and she would lay scattered all over the ground. Still, her magic did manage to help quite a bit whenever she started running out of stamina. She had to make sure that she would arrive as soon as possible.

Crescent Island. It was not too far away, thankfully. And the young White Witch had a duty to fulfill there. The last part of this life she had. It all started when she met Samira Nassar, who helped the girl create a dimensional nexus of sorts inside of her own home. It was there that Seth, the girl’s puppeteer had realized things could not continue as they were going. Still, not enough potential energy was yet gathered to initiate a change that was required for the course of fate to shift enough to actually make a difference.

Which was why the girl needed to run from one goal to another, solving few last problems that were present in this world and gathering the required energy as a result. This should be the last one. Once the creature that plagued the island would be dealt with, the change could be initiated. It was because of this that Seth urged his doll to hurry as much as she could. Finally, she was able to see something that resembled a boat in the distance. Many different mages were boarding it while preparing their weapons, spirits, and magic. They were all here to defeat the Kitsune.

But none of them would actually reach their goal. Only Charlotte would, along with her companion that was not revealed yet. But the puppeteer had already placed all of the required pieces down, so there was nothing to worry about. Slowing down as she got close enough, the girl took out a pure white handkerchief from one of her pockets and wiped off the sweat that adorned her forehead. The moment she boarded, she was finally able to calm her breathing down, get used to the waves that were about to rock their means of transportation ever so slightly.

With so many mages present on board, she was also somewhat forced to put herself into a corner, pressed against one of the walls. She still wasn’t very good with big crowds, it seemed. She merely clutched the ivory-white staff in her hands as her pure white eye scanned her surroundings. For some reason, she felt as if there was something familiar, somewhere. Was that a hint from her puppeteer, or maybe something she noticed or felt, but did not fully realize yet? It was entirely possible. Though the poor girl was rather lost in this maze of humanity, waiting for their boat to arrive at its destination.

The Merciful Hunter [Job | Mura & Charlotte] Empty Re: The Merciful Hunter [Job | Mura & Charlotte]

The bota surely knocked around rather violently due to the waves. They were an indication of the chaos that Crescent Island was suffering under. Despite not being able to see the island just yet, Mura could feel its presence clearer than the presence of saltwater surrounding the boat that he was sailing on. His thoughts pushed out all unnecessary things and focused only on that violent aura that rushed out from a random source in the ocean and reached their boat. All these images began dissolving in his fantasies as he thought back to the meeting - as if the flashback began changing the very land around him yet only in his humble mind. What was it that his ancestor, Oe-something, warned him about… something rather important…

He could fathom his damaged remembrance now. Yes, he was still in that empty area where Oeromo floated around, showing him one thing and another about Onmyōjis. Because that Mura, specifically, was made one by birthright, he yet had to understand exactly what awaited him in his path to Yin-Yang. His old man’s words were clear yet a little degrading: “You must understand, Mura, you’re not entitled to everything. The only reason you possess this power is because that some powerless man before you seeded patience, harvested courage and prepared determination… but I’m sure you understand by now.” The old man’s eyes darted towards Mura’s as the much younger male was a tad intimidated by the seriousness and sharpness of the rather old spirit’s words and voice. “I’ve seen hunters, bearers of my title, each taking a different path than the other… but most of their paths led to hatred and ruin. For once, I hope that you won’t make the same mistake.” An Onmyōji was supposed to chase out and, if given the chance, eliminate evil spirits and omen - especially the ones in Midi called yōkai. Mura understood what the old man said with ‘ruin’, because many were likely to indiscriminate between good and evil.

What would he do now? Was it today that Mura would spill the blood of a yōkai for the first time? Or would his heart refrain from witnessing such thing? It would always depend on the situation - what he knew was that it was a Kitsune and that this individual wasn’t always considered a threat. If he had a calm path, then maybe they could bring him back to it.

What was this feeling? Mura’s head turned to see if he was right about his hunch - in the gimmick behind him, a single individual stood out from the buzz and sought an edge. Was that… Charlotte? Upon asking another wizard to take the rope, Mura jumped down to the cluster of wizards, phasing through them all as he approached the white-haired girl. He couldn’t believe it… she looked safe and sound. It was a miracle.

As he stood mere meters away from her, he would speak - he hoped that she recognized him or that she was still the same Charlotte as before. What the Black Witch ensured him back then was foggy, so he would start speaking: “C-Charlotte…” Ah, screw words; all he wanted was to embrace her and comfort her after all the pain he saw her go through, in which he did as he wanted by lashing his arms around her and giving her a warm and huge hug.

    “… Please tell me you’re okay now…”
