Yona's Poison Lesson Empty Yona's Poison Lesson

Post by Zincarla 11th March 2018, 4:33 pm

Since she had no jobs to do, Yona wore comfortable clothing and not a single piece of it was white. Those who knew her would still take note of that outstanding green hair, today tied back in a french style braid, and none would mistake the short tempered nineteen year old for some other member on this island. Yona wore an old outfit, one from her vagabond days: cropped black halter top, loose flowing, soft grey pants, and her old brown leather boots, softened and stained from serious travel wear. She left her coat in her room, though now she suspected she might have needed it. It started out as a sunny day, and by this afternoon clouds were filling up the sky and the ocean had turned a grey blue.

Yona had been out of her lab for a week or so, but her mind hadn't stopped. She had filled up a notebook with ideas, thoughts, and experiments to try out. She had trekked over parts of the island, finding a couple new plants and documenting them. Still, it plagued her though. Her father's notebook had been magically sealed so that the words on the pages were illegible ink blots for those not yet experienced enough to see it. It was her father's way of protecting his research when Yona was young, and it was still effective on her now. The green haired woman had scoured the pages, looking at spells and diagrams, spending hours pouring over little sketches of plants- some familiar and some not. She didn't doubt the effects of one page in particular.

A page near the back of the notebook, one of the last spells her father had worked with, likely spells at least at the A rank level. The sketched plant was old now, slightly water damaged from the one night Yona spent sleeping on the streets in the rain. But the picture was either a related species she did not recognize of the common yellow wisteria plants around her home or something she had never seen before. It was hard to tell, the thorns suggested it was not related, but the flower arrangement and size was so indicative of a wisteria. Perhaps the plant had a deadly cousin. She assumed also that the nature of this plant had to be poisonous- the small skull and x stamp her father had placed only on poisonous plants in his encyclopedias was the same mark at the bottom of this page from his research-driven spells.

This was what brought Yona out to the empty beach about an hour's walk from the guild's front gate. Locals that the female had questioned had mentioned seeing one of VPs of the guild, a new face named Sol, moving out that way. If Yona could find him then she would be able to question him. She carried a bag over her shoulder and in it, her father's precious notebook. Yona had had it magically waterproofed and tear proof long ago now, but carrying it still left her feeling on edge, ultra protective of one of the only items to survive the fire.

Once she got to the beach, Yona placed her hand down on the natural line between the gravelly sand and the thick forest soil. She concentrated for just a moment before sensing a physical body, tucked inside a large tree in the area. When she lifted her head to look in the direction it was easy to see the large tree right on the edge itself a few meters away. Yona strode up to it and tucked in the branches was where she found the man called Sol. She shouted up at him, being certain to be extra loud.

"Hey, you! Sol? Sol! I need to talk to you! It's very important!" She thought for a moment and added with a tone of false panic, "Its an emergency!"

Yona's Poison Lesson Empty Re: Yona's Poison Lesson

Post by Sol 11th March 2018, 8:25 pm

Sol was having a pretty good day he had managed to finish his paperwork quickly after he had finished his paperwork with very little trouble due to using some clones to speed it up. He had decided since he had no more work to do for the time being that he would go down to the beach and take a nap. He had switched from his work clothes to his normal clothing and he was now in a tree currently sleeping. However it seemed that fate did not want him to rest since just as he had dozed off he heard a voice from below call him out and said it was an emergency.

He yawned and opened his eyes before he saw Yona looking at him and he dropped down from the tree in his attire of black Chinese sleevless top and black pants with black combat boots.”This had better be good Yona I’m rather tired from working at the hospital and my paperwork so what is it that you need” he said as he crossed his strong arms over his chest and locked his ruby slitted eyes on the younger girl.

Yona's Poison Lesson Empty Re: Yona's Poison Lesson

Post by Zincarla 12th March 2018, 2:31 pm

It seemed Sol was in a sour mood and with that Yona had to actually try to keep her spirits up. She was anxious, remorseful, and driven to learn all she could from the book of her father's spells. The outstretched hand of her little brother, an image which had literally burned the skin of her right hand, reminded her of the urgency. Cirven's little "punishment" was harsh and she still struggled to live a day without waking to her arm lifted and stretched up over her bed, reaching for a nightmare or a dream of a boy who was nearly 5 years dead. Yona had to find the man who was responsible and kill him. For that, she wanted- no, needed- the deadliest and most dangerous of her father's spells to be his end; as if it were her father killing him by her very side, as if the revenge was her father's and not her own bitter grudge. A shady poisonous plant spell would be just the thing. Keeping herself positive in light of all the intrusive traumatic memories was a struggle, but in the wake of Sol's mood, Yona just worked harder to appear optimistic and cheered.

Yona mirrored Sol for a moment, crossing her arms over her chest as if in a huff. "Oh come on, you're a big important Ace. Haven't you the time for me?" She gave a light shrug, and the facade of teasing him fell away. The green haired female pulled her bag from her shoulder and opened it up, drawing out a thick dark leather book with worn edges and a soggy appearance. Even though Yona had protected and sealed the book through paying off some expensive mage, the damage done to it was still evident. She clasped it one handed to her chest for a moment as she spoke, her voice lowered, letting sentimentality show. "It is really important."

She didn't know if Sol knew, or how much he knew, about her past. Yona didn't know if he even knew more than her name. What she did know was that he was an expert in poison and he would likely be familiar with the plant. All she needed was a name to start looking for the plant with clustered pale-blue flowers. A location too would be great, but a name at the least would be a huge lead. She took a deep breath before presenting her case, opening the book to the page near the back. The page was protected by spells so that those outside of the Hisamori family and those of weaker magical ability could not read it. But the picture of the plant was clear enough, with sketches of the leaves and flowers specifically, and a full sketch in black ink of the whole plant, roots and all.

"This plant is crucial. I need it to... bring justice," Yona worded her thoughts cautiously, flicking her green eyes up to see how Sol was taking it. "All I need from you is to tell me what it is, and if you know it, where it can be found." Yona stared at him intensely, expecting and relying on him. She had the look of a starving child gazing up at its parent, desperate and pleading. The woman's soft features had hardened as she held the page up, having never shown the book -never mind a whole page- to another person. The woman tried to see if she could tell if Sol recognized it, already trying to spot a lie if he told one.

Post by Sol 13th March 2018, 11:33 am

Sol sighed before he nodded at the green haired girl”I Suppose I have time now that you have woken me what was it you needed” he asked before he noticed she got much more serious and then revealed a book took him and he could tell from the scent on the book it was rather old and had seen better days. She showed him the picture of a plant that he knew rather well but he also knew how toxic this plant was and if Yona wanted this plant he wanted to know exactly what for before he attempted to help her. His knowledge was being used to save lives and he didn’t feel like giving someone an easy way to kill another without a good reason.

I know of the plant and where it can be found but before I give any information I need to know what you plan to use this information and this plant for". My knowledge is being used to save lives I won’t give it to kill without extremely good reasons” he said. He was being truthful and if her reason was not good enough he would give her a small amount of info but not all that he knew .

Yona's Poison Lesson Empty Re: Yona's Poison Lesson

Post by Zincarla 13th March 2018, 6:53 pm

Yona quickly closed the book and replaced it within the bag. She let the bag dangle by her feet, her eyes wide and hopeful. This was exactly what she hoped for: he recognized the plant and even knew where it could be found. She straightened her shoulders and cleared her throat. Yona needed to give it her best shot so Sol would tell her where to find it. "I plan to study it, Sol. I want to learn about it's physiology and growth patterns and I want to understand the toxins. Its a very dangerous plant you know, well I am sure you do."

Yona leaned forward and jokingly punched his arm, "But uh, most people don't. It's an enormous danger and I want to do research on it. You never know what could happen, a plant like this grows wild and all of a sudden it can just kill innocent people. And what if someone, like the wrong someone, gets their hands on it." She lied through her teeth, her emerald eyes expressive. Yona was highly talented at manipulating the average person so she wasn't that worried. "You wouldn't want to be responsible for standing in the way of science right?"

The woman looked up at him, trying to read his eyes, her hands now resting on her hips.

Post by Sol 14th March 2018, 1:07 am

Sol could tell that Yona was rather excited and hopeful now that she knew that he  had information on the subject but he still was not going to give up the information yet.”I already have it cataloged and I have consumed its poison many times. Its quite tasty to those that eat poisons.” he explained but then he caught what she said about wanting to study it but he had heard her explain before that she wanted the information for justice which caused the dragon to relize that Yona was lieing thru her teeth to him and he narrowed his eyes at the girl.

its only a danger if people mistake it for another plant its not like it attacks invaders Yona but theres a flaw in what you told me you mentioned you wanted the information for Justice not studying at first so here the deal Tell me the truth or I will tell you nothing” he said sternly. He would not allow her to think she could not only lie to him but also push him around. His red eyes stared at the green haired girl and he was now watching for any sign that she was lying to him

Yona's Poison Lesson Empty Re: Yona's Poison Lesson

Post by Zincarla 16th March 2018, 9:14 am

Yona let out a long sigh, which ended in a groan. There was never any winning was there? She had heard that Sol had had a dark past, and his comments about poison-eating made her wonder just what the plant was capable of in a person who was not capable of ingesting foreign toxins. She wet her lips and took a full step back from him, sensing also his annoyance. "I need it. Why do you need to know more? Damn it, Sol, it's important." Her green eyes were intense. "I would never have asked you if it weren't important."

She flicked her braided hair off her left shoulder and considered walking away, partially turning to the side as if to leave. Sol still hadn't said no, but being caught in an act of attempted deception likely warranted him plenty reason to do so. Still, if she merely walked away then she had attempted for nothing. Yona needed the information, if that plant was crucial to the spell on the page, then she ought to learn as much as she could about it. The female paused and then crossed her arms, facing him once more. "I need it for a spell. A spell to bring justice to... a murderer. You say it is cataloged, does that mean you have it written down? Is the plant known in texts for researchers already?"

Post by Sol 18th March 2018, 5:42 pm

At Yonas words Sol scowled a bit as she seemed to just say that she needed it and that it was important while questioning why he needed to know more.”like I said Yona if I give this knowledge I want to know what its being used for if your wanting it for something petty then I will say nothing.” he stated as he saw her seem to get frustrated and she seemed like she just wanted to leave since he was being so tight lipped about the information. Finally she said that she needed the plant for a spell to bring justice to a murderer and Sol simply sighed at her reasoning.

give me the full story before I make my decision. Im very hesitant to grant you something poisonous since whisperes at the hospital are that you poisoned our head chef for some reason. While I have the information its in my privet files in a secure area due to not trusting many with the information.” he explained before he stared her down with his red eyes.”so if you want the information start explaining” he stated simply.

Yona's Poison Lesson Empty Re: Yona's Poison Lesson

Post by Zincarla 19th March 2018, 4:25 pm

Tell him. Tell him?! She looked at him almost incredulously. Tell him!? The story of her family's tragic demise was dark, personal, and not a subject she devoted time talking about. She was no spokesperson or motivational speaker. She did not speak of her personal or emotional experiences to.. well she basically hadn't told any one a thing about it. Ruvel and a few others found out through a summon what her circumstances had been, but Sol had not been there. Part of her was glad that not even the guild leader divulged her personal information to other high ranking VPs like Sol and she was also glad that between all the others who had been there, none had felt it necessary to speak about it behind her back. That didn't change the fact that Yona was unwilling to discuss this with Sol unless absolutely necessary. Her expression changed into a firm one, clearly having made a decision.

"I think I told you plenty," She insisted, "I don't need to tell you my whole life story for simple information on a plant! Damn!" She cursed again, partially for effect but mostly because she could not believe he had dared to ask her about why she needed the plant in more detail than what she already had given him. Yona knew for a fact that Sol was higher level, but if he would not tell her, she strongly felt as if there were no other way than to try to steal the information right out of his stupid head. Yona only had to stand there looking cross, focusing her magic upon his mind for her power to come into play. Yona had no idea if it would work or what she might get out of it, but damn it if she weren't going to at least try!

Yona placed a hand over her mouth, as if thinking, and whispered in an impossibly soft voice, "Scopolia." The green haired female had only to try it out and see if it had been effective, and no doubt in either case that Sol would notice her spell. Yona had less than 15 words and not a one would be wasted, not for something so crucial to her. She pulled her hand away and placed it on her hip. "Sol, I command you to tell me the name and whereabouts of this plant." If the Scopolia spell was effective, the man would have to tell her what she wanted to know. And of course, there would be consequences, but still Yona would have the priceless information without giving up any of her painful past.

Post by Sol 22nd March 2018, 11:17 pm

Sol growled as she exclaimed that she had told him plenty and that he did not have to know her whole life story for simple information on a plant. At that he narrowed his eyes. "it matters when I do not know the reasons behind why you want the plant the reason you are using it. Like I said Im using my knowledge to try and save lives I won’t give it to kill without a very good reason” he said firmly. After she put her hand to her mouth she then told him to tell her the name and location of the plant she wanted. Sol felt his mouth want to start talking but he clenched his fangs together and stayed silent untill he felt the urge to speak wane.

When he felt it was safe to speak his sclera turned pitch black and he bared his teeth revealing they were all fangs and his tone was like ice.”How Dare You!” he snarled at her.”when someone does not give you what you want you don’t try to take it from them and not from someone who is supposed to be a guild mate or a superior” he spat since he felt like she had disrespected him and tried to usurp his decision.”now you have to be punished.” he growled before he was suddenly was cloaked in a black aura before he dashed forward. With her so close the chance of dodging it was next to impossible. As the aura turned into a giant snake head before it would bite down on yonas body and would infect her with a custom neurotoxin of Sols own design.”you want to know about poison then feel it first hand” he said coldly as his aura was still black.Sol would give her the antidote after a few moment but this was to teach her not to take by force, it would also show her why he knew so much about poison it was because he was a poison godslayer.

Yona's Poison Lesson Empty Re: Yona's Poison Lesson

Post by Zincarla 23rd March 2018, 12:37 pm

With Sol shouting at her, and her request obviously denied, Yona's anger and frustrating went up. "How dare I?" She interrupted, "How dare you! How dare you keep this crucial information from me over whether or not I tell you my personal life! It's for justice, that should be good enough!" Yona shouted, trying to shout over Sol, even seeing how angry he was, the color in his eyes shifting. The green haired girl pulled her hand from her hip and jutted an angry hand out at Sol, a very rude gesture going along with it.

But Sol wasn't really listening to a word she said was he? His fangs were evident and as he spoke of punishment, Yona tensed up. Screw this guy! What was he going to do? Ground her from her lab? Make her do chores? Punishments weren't going to scare her away. Not when she needed this so badly, not when she was so close that she could almost grasp the very thought, plucking it straight out of Sol's head. She longed to try again. Before the nineteen year old could do or say or even think of saying anything else, a cloud like ebon aura wavered around Sol's body. Purplexed, Yona paused to consider his actions. She took a few steps backwards, sensing some sort of fight about to take place.

Was he like Johann? Desiring a physical fight of some sort? Well, Yona wasn't afraid of nobody and her adrenaline was rushing through her veins, making her heart pound and her blood race. Nothing was putting her off the subject. When Sol dashed forward, Yona had her answer. She wasn't much for close range fighting unless she had a weapon drawn already and she didn't want to risk casting any close range spells with her father's book resting in a bag so close by. Yona leapt backwards twice, trying to keep back from Sol, enough to make her own counter spell. She was likely to get in more trouble for trying to fight a VP.

Sol caught up easily, and a snake head appeared, biting down with swift precision over Yona's left shoulder and arm. She cried out from the force of the bite and the surprise of the attack, her hands moving to punch and hit at the aura-based snake. She felt nothing at first, lifting her head obstinately. 'You want to know about poison, then feel it firsthand..' Sol's cold words hung in the air and Yona was not yet sure if it was a threat or if it had been instantly done. Yona mouthed off some more in response, "You are not my superior."

Yona's Poison Lesson Empty Re: Yona's Poison Lesson

Post by Sol 25th March 2018, 9:42 pm

The moment sol heard the words that he was not her superior leave her mouth the slayer growled.”Ill remember that in a moment.” he said as he knew the poison would be kicking in. her body would feel like fire was flowing thru her veins as her body had the sensation of being ripped apart over and over again as her magic system was eaten away at. The toxins would also wreck her ability to form coherent thought and her ability to control her limbs which would make fighting a nightmare. Sol did not want to deal such a heavy punishment to her but considering she violated his personal space and his mind to try and get something he denyed her had his very angry.

now if you want the agony to stop you need to apologize and give me more information” he said before he then gained a stern look on his face.”do you know what it means to kill by poison Yona do you?. To see the terror on someones face as death sets in and it flows thru their veins untill they are begging for you to let it all end. From how your acting I don’t think you do.” he said his tone gravely serious as he waited for her response

Yona's Poison Lesson Empty Re: Yona's Poison Lesson

Post by Zincarla 26th March 2018, 8:20 pm

Yona practically snarled at him, "Oh I hope you do remember that, you--" She stopped abruptly, her mouth hanging open in an unceremonious and silent scream. What was this sudden pain? She had felt fire, real fire before. She could recall the agony of the flames every time she looked at the scars on her legs. But this burning sensation was unlike the heat of the fires she had felt four years ago. It started first in her shoulder, and then moved in her left arm. An inflammation and a pressure, like a piece of rubber tubing which had been over inflated, or a balloon with so much air it was ready to explode open. At the same time, the burning was like that of an acid, a strong fluid dissolving and disintegrating her muscles and veins as it pumped through.

Yona gasped loudly clutching tighter at her left shoulder as beads of sweat formed on her brow. The pain had left her temporarily breathless. She looked up at Sol, shaky on her feet as he questioned and berated her. "I'll never apologize, I have dealt with worse pain," She lied, her nails digging into her flesh, pressing into her skin until tiny drops of blood oozed outward. As Sol continued onward, giving some sort of detrimental speech, Yona's eyes started to close and her jaw set tightly. She swayed once and then fell to her knees, fighting to keep from lying on the ground like some meek prey before a mighty predator. As much as she didn't feel up to listen to Sol go on and on, while the poison wracked through her left side, she really didn't have much of a choice.

If he was asking if she had ever poisoned someone before, the answer was no. But if he was asking if she knew how it felt, well she knew now. Yona felt his poisons destroy her left side, and she had no way to know if it was temporary, permanent, an illusion, or if it was actually disintegrating her body. She felt the temptation to beg for him to cure her, and then she choked it down deep and resisted actually doing so. She coughed hard, stifling a scream, and then let out a hearty scream anyway. She cursed loudly, and then replied to Sol, trying to not let the whine in her voice out, trying to hide the pain. Yona was terrible at hiding this and she whimpered, "To hell with you, I told you it was for justice. If I want to poison someone to death, I don't need to feel what it does to them." She felt her stomach flip over and back and then the burning sensation felt as if someone was pouring hot lead into her chest.

With another scream of pain, the nineteen year old fell over onto her side before him, clutching at her chest and her stomach, sweat profusely seeping from her pores and a redness coming to her face. She breathed hard, laboriously, her body trying to fight the powerful poison as her mouth sucked in as much air as she could manage; still, what she manage to breathe in never seemed to be enough.

Yona's Poison Lesson Empty Re: Yona's Poison Lesson

Post by Sol 26th March 2018, 9:04 pm

As Yona seemed ready to rip into him she was cut off as the poison flowed thru her veins and he looked at her with a stern face. “and there it is “ he said calmly not even phased at her sudden pain as she shook and then dropped to her knees in agony.”your face says otherwise” he stated as she started to scream. Her magic system was being chewed at by his poison and as a mage that was very dangerous but Sol knew just how long she had and he knew when to pull her out of danger before permanent harm happened.”heres the thing Yona do you know what I am I am a venom godslayer and my element is poison. And what you have in your veins is a special toxin of mine unique to me. It can’t be recreated or distored by anyone but myself” he started before he went on.

the reason why your feeling on fire right now is because my poison is eating away at your ability to use Ethernano hence your magic ability. If I were to let it go on for too long your ability to lose magic would be lost and then you would die in unbearable agony” he explained as he looked into her emerald eyes with his own ruby ones. He then pulled out a small vial of blue liquid “this is the antidote but I want to hear an apology and also I want you to listen after I administer it do you understand” he stated before he then heard her say that if she wanted to poison someone to death why did she have to feel the effects.

At that the dragon growled and he got right in her face.”You need to know how it feels. If you poison someone you need to accept that your killing them in the painful way possible. Tell me yona can you look someone in the eyes as they beg for you to make it stop or to end it all and stay composed. You need to know what your doing, at best right now you’re a brat playing with a loaded gun and I will not see that kinda of behavior on my watch!” he snarled at her as he wanted her to understand his side of this.

Yona's Poison Lesson Empty Re: Yona's Poison Lesson

Post by Zincarla 26th March 2018, 9:38 pm

First she would lose her magic, and then she would die in pain. Yona had the ability to understand his words, of course she did, but the female was in too much pain to actually comprehend the real meaning of death or losing her magic. What could have been worse than the pain that she was in? Yona was able to open her eyes just in time to see Sol raising up the antidote above her. She opened her mouth to tell him to go to hell, but nothing but a cry came out.

Her whole body felt like it was burning, her arms and legs getting weaker as each minute passed by. She reached up a hand, grasping her fingers as her arm shook with tremor after tremor from the effort of actually doing so. Yona said, "No, no.." Was she talking about whether or not she would apologize, or was she talking about wanting it to end? It would not be readily apparent until she fell back onto the ground, laying on her back with her arm splayed out to the side. She no longer had the strength to lift it. How was this poison so damn fast?

Yona mouthed, "Fine, sorry, sorry," But no words came out. She screamed out, a rasping sound like knives were inside of her throat, and then she used the last of the energy that came with it to voice out, "I'm sorry." She nodded a few times before closing her eyes again, her body starting to slowly convulse. When she looked back up and tried to speak this time, her word were garbled nonsense, the neurotoxin creeping in. "Finsilks, slion, sli--?" She had wide eyes, bloodshot and and bleary.

Post by Sol 27th March 2018, 11:38 am

Sol glanced down at her as she seemed to start fully grasping just how much pain she was in and he made sure the keep a good grip on the antidote so she could not snatch it though with how her muscles were feeling he doubted she could hold it anyway. He saw her mouth the words Sorry to him but he heard no sound from her before she screamed again in pain. Before she then verbally spoke the words Im sorry to him and he watched as she started to convulse due to the neuro toxin in her body kicking in. it was then that she started to speak garbled words due to how she was now unable to form coherent sentences.

Sol at that point knew she was getting close and he formed a few shadow hands to hold her still before he uncorked the vial before he said three simple words.”Open your mouth” he said though to her it would sound like a command due to her mind not working right. Once she opened her mouth he would pour it into her mouth so she could have the venom purged.

Yona's Poison Lesson Empty Re: Yona's Poison Lesson

Post by Zincarla 28th March 2018, 12:35 pm

Yona lay there twitching, the pain cutting through her like a knife. It felt like a million surgeons were slicing open her limbs, peeling back her muscles and skin, and then making cuts through her veins. It felt like she had drunk down a full jug of battery acid and it was burning holes in her stomach. As if fumes were in the air, choking and smothering her lungs, her mouth puckered and tensed, gasping like the fishermen's daily catch on the floor of his boat. Yona felt as if inevitable death was creeping up on her, but more than that, she felt like inescapable and permanent torture was to be her life. In this moment, she could not recall a time where she did not know this pain and could not conceive of a future without it. It was an agony so rich and commanding, that it exhumed all that she was and made her a puppet of the poison itself.

As the shadow hands crept from the ground and held Yona's body still, the female's form struggled against them; not because she didn't want help, but because she was beyond being able to accept any more physical sensations. It seemed like hours had gone by, instead of just a few minutes. Her eyes tried to comprehend Sol's expression- was he still angry? Was he still cold? She heard his words as if she were being held underwater, against her will, a distorted conglomerate of syllables. It took a moment to figure them out but when she did, Yona obeyed. Her lips parted, trembling with the effort and allowed Sol to pour in the antidote. Yona felt the soothing coolness of the azure liquid draining down her esophagus. Instantly, the convulsing ended, the pain reduced, and exhausted Yona lay there on the ground.

As she lay there, her first coherent thought since the ordeal started passed by, like a leaf on the wind, grazing through her weakened and weary head- maybe I am immature.. maybe these games are childish... maybe I am messing with things too dangerous for my rank right now. It wasn't a painful realization, more like a reluctant and slow acceptance, but the expression in her eyes changed as she looked up at her VP.

Post by Sol 1st April 2018, 12:40 am

Sol could only watch as Yona writhed on the ground in pain though once he had administered the antidote her spasms eased and she seemed to calm down. His eyes were impassive for a bit before he watched her reaction and got ready to move incase she decided to take a swing at him out of anger.”so now that you know what it feels like to have poison thru your veins have you learned anything” he asked waiting before he spoke again.”knowing the kind of pain you can put someone thru can you honestly keep yourself calm and collected can you be that cruel and put your emotions aside. If you cant then you should not touch anything toxic” he said before he stood and he turned his back to her.

Yona before I joined this guild I was apart of Basilisk Fang and was the second in command of it. I killed so many thru poison that it is second nature to me but what I found that drove me away has made me want to use my knowledge to save lives not just end them. I stained my hands with so much blood that they will never be clean but I want you to be absolutely sure you want to do this and see it thru to the end. You need to be able to live with the blood you will spill” he said his gaze locked on her again but this time his eyes were not cold but they were soft as he opened up to her a bit about his past.”I’ve made so many mistakes Yona I just don’t want you to make one as well” he said softly.

Yona's Poison Lesson Empty Re: Yona's Poison Lesson

Post by Zincarla 5th April 2018, 12:50 pm

Yona Hisamori lay there, too weak to groan, too weak to swing at him though the thought did pass through her mind a few times. Slowly, ever so slowly, her body began to recover. She had a bad feeling that she would feel groggy for the rest of the day, if not for a day or too. She had no choice but to listen to Sol as he went on about poisons and asked her if she was ready. Normally, Yona would have given him a flippant response and exaggerated her abilities to inform him that she was great at handling death caused by her hands. However, Yona was unable to argue or attack Sol so she just lay there listening, and really listening.

She was sure she could deal out this pain, just not to everyone. Only to that one person who deserved it. Yona's green eyes widened and with effort, she sat up on the ground looking at the VP. He had been second in command of another guild, and a dark one at that. So he was more powerful than she had even witnessed, and with his knowledge, more wise than she had imagined him to be. It was weird that he looked so physically young, but then maybe it was just the lighting on the edge of the beach. Finally, she relented and gave him what he had asked for, hoping it would earn her some points back after what she had tried. Yona wasn't an idiot and she did know her actions against him were worth punishing.

"I don't know his face, or his name. All I have are vague memories of his voice and nightmares of his black flames." Her eyes intensified as she spoke, her words were slow as her tongue regained ability to move, but her words were just as powerful despite the slowness, "He came to my home and burned it to the ground with my family still inside. I saw my father's dead body, smelled his skin cooking in the next room, unable to get to him. Trapped with my legs underneath a huge beam, my own legs melting in the burn," Yona said moving to pull up her pant legs and show him the streaks of dark burn scars that had barely lightened in the four years she had had them, "I saw Sato. I saw my little brother, I heard him scream, and I saw him die in the smoke and fire while I could do nothing." She made fists and pounded them into her legs over and over again, her eyes now distant looking downward instead of at Sol. "I will kill that man in the most painful way I can find. It's the only justice the Hisamori famly can ever find."

She breathed deeply, her face red with her anger, but the green haired woman still did not lift her head.

Post by Sol 6th April 2018, 11:36 pm

Sol listened to Yona as she finally opened up about why she wanted his knowledge and at the mention of black flames Sols eyes narrowed since only one type of magic had black flames or black anything and that was godslayer magic the kinda that he wielded. As she went on and explained her home had been burned to the ground and her family lost in the flames while she was pinned under burning rubble Sols eyes went from calm to sad as he was starting to understand why she wanted such a deadly plant and she told him that she would kill the man to bring justice to her family.

When she  finished he nodded at her words and he gently pulled out another vial of liquid this time a vibrant shade of purple." here this will speed up your recovery.” he said before he would help her drink it if she took his offer.”Yona I know it was hard but thank you for tell me that. It was all I wanted to know” he explained before he went on.”since your so set on going after this person I will help.. But one a few conditions understood?” he added. “I’m going to give you the information you want but when you hunt for this person I will be there, I will not slay the man but I will make sure you survive and that you do not harm this company when you do so”  he said and waited for her to show she understood before he continued.”next  while you are learning from me you will pay attention understand” he told her before he decided to wrap things up.”lastly if and when you do the deed you are going to see me to make sure your mental state is stable and fine. The last thing I want is for you to get what you want then fade into nothing or worse turn to the dark side” he finished before he offered her his hand.”so Yona Hisamori what will it be?”

Yona's Poison Lesson Empty Re: Yona's Poison Lesson

Post by Zincarla 7th April 2018, 10:33 am

Yona took the second vial without looking and downed it like a veteran drunk with a shotglass. She felt a warmth in her mouth, down her throat, and in her stomach, anywhere the liquid had touched. And if she hadn't known better, it was almost as if it had instantly entered her bloodstream and started removing all the aches and rigor from her muscles. She sat there fingering the vial within her hand as she listened to Sol's proposals. The nineteen year old considered if for a while. The truth was she did want that information and at the cost of only needing to have the guy tag along, well Yona didn't see it as too bad a consequence. Still, she preferred being alone and this case was specifically personal. Yona didn't like the idea of opening her past up and letting Sol romp around like a child mucking up all her plans and watching her like a babysitter when the time came down to it. It was a pretty big toss up for her, her independence or the power she desired to defeat the evil man she sought after.

Yona could learn plenty from him, dangerous things that Johann would probably not teach her. Sure, Johann could teach her plenty and she preferred him in general- he was more personable and she actually trusted him as her teacher- but Sol had a darkness to him that Yona was drawn to. Even if Sol wanted to lead her away from the 'dark path' as he considered it, Yona couldn't help but desire to just peek into that part of herself anyway. It helped that Yona respected Sol's power and it was probably the thing that affirmed her choice in the end. She sighed, looking up at Sol and then getting to her feet. Yona was pleased to find that she was not shaky or weak any longer.

"Whenever I am not on a job, not out learning from Johann, you have my word that my attention is your's. I will do as you ask, and if I don't," she shrugged, though her face suggested that she did not take what she was going to say lightly, "Just poison me again. Should be even enough if I ever break my word." The green haired woman paused and then handed him the empty vial, "So when do we start?" She was eager, but cautious on the subject; desiring to learn but understanding now the risks of using poison. Her tone now took on the sound of respect, without lowering herself any, she know placed Sol on a higher pedestal.
