Job Title: Class Warfare

Player Requirements: Must be a member of Fairy Tail. May bring a partner with you but they must be a member of the Guild.
Job Requirements: Thread must be 7,500 words. Must defeat every enemy.
Job Location: Cedar Town
Job Description: Cedar Town, renown for it's knights that protect the village, and produce very fine officers. Recently, however, the townspeople have begun to protest at different areas in town; claiming police brutality from the Cedar Knights. One such person has hired Fairy Tail to do some investigation.
Your investigation turns up the fact that a group of Knights secretly working for a Magic Council member, who feels that Cedar Town should be exclusively for the wealthy has been paying them off to take forceful action against the poor. Catch the group redhanded during one of their secret meetings and expose them to their Knight Captain who has humble beginnings himself as a poor man and will not be kind towards this type of insubordination. The Magic Council member will also lose his seat over this, so you may or may not make an enemy in politics during this Job.
Enemies:
Weak: Cedar Knight Archer - A traitor to their order of knights, he uses his Crossbow to killshot enemies. He reloads it incredibly fast for such a large weapon; so be careful. The bolts hit for B-class damage if struck, and will cause a lot of bleeding. Takes one hit of B-class damage to down him.
Normal: Cedar Knight Swordsman - Another traitor, he is either wearing armor, or light clothing. But also was his sword and shield with him; he is very good with them, and will block the simplest of attacks without even thinking about it. Will attack you in furious waves of swordsman ship, using his shield as well in combat. Takes two hits of B-class damage to down him.
Strong: Cedar Knight Captain - A leader amongst these four traitors, he uses an axe about as big as he is, which is about 7ft tall. He is wearing heavily spiked platemail, and will be difficult to defeat. Since he swings his axe pretty fast even though it's very big. Careful as he will shrug off most attacks due to his stature and his thick armor. Takes A-class damage to down this mean traitor to the Cedar Knights.
Boss: Cedar Knight Commander - The leader of the four by far. It was he who took payment from the corrupt and pretentious Magic Council member and also he who convinced the other three to join his cause in trampling on the poor and forcing them out of town. He is also a mage, unlike the other 3. He will use a powerful magic called Arc of Wild, which allows him to randomly summon any type of magical beast you could think of up to A-class in power. Be very careful, if you defeat his friends first he will fight even harder. Takes 3 hits of A-class damage to finally defeat him. Capture him and turn him in to his Knight Captain.
Reward: 5000j and the favor of the townspeople of Cedar and their order of Knights.

Haru looked outside his balcony window of his hotel room in Cedar Town. Behind him the bed he was supposed to sleep in was littered with paperwork from an investigation he'd been conducting here in town. You see, Fairy Tail had been contracted by a town member; to look into the recent treatment of the less fortunate here town. It had never been a problem here before, and all of a sudden; the Cedar Knights just seemed to kick people while they were down. Haru and Rose had been up all night trying to find the source of this type of treatment, and why it was happening so suddenly.
It wasn't a personal grudge, since people all around town have reported this treatment. So what then. As he sighed and rejoined Rose on the bed, setting indian style; he would hold up a piece of paper that listed the Councilmen responsible for this town. As he skimmed over it, something hit him. A wave of eureka. He looked at the books for payments to knights, as he noticed one Council Member had been paying a lot more gold than he should have to the Cedar Knights. So much in fact, that it would probably make the others working a regular salary jealous.
"Hey look at these private contributions." he asked his tired cat as she quickly put two and two together as well. Nodding to one another like they always did, they decided to call it a night. Haru would hop into bed and hold onto Rose's fur under his arm as they slept. In the morning, they continued their investigation by reaching out to a Fairy Tail asset in Era. When he got back to them with a lacrima call, both of them sat up to watch it as the crystal ball would light up with his face.
"Ey, Haru how's Cedar this time of year." his guildmate who was undercover at the Council said to him cheerfully. With a smile in return, Haru would nod back to him and in his usual tone give a reply.
"Well.....there's riots everywhere in this city." Haru said plainly as people now, after breakfast were already taking to the streets again. Waving signs, and chants. Not to mention being extremly friggin loud. Loud enough for everyone in town to hear, and probably those just outside of the city as well. With a nod, his guildmate told him that it was all over TV and that he'd seen it himself through the LNN, Lacrima News Network.
"I found out why though. With a little magic I was able to get into the Councilman's chambers who is the representative for that city." he looked smug and proud of himself as Rose would literally hop in front of the crystal ball, causing Haru to get a sweatdrop over his head in the background.
"OUT with it already!" she said with a fervor. "We've been up all night trying to piece this damn thing together." as the guildmember would only let out a 'ohohohohohohoho' and laugh he would reply.
"The great Rose, looking for help eh?" he continued to taunt as Haru couldn't help but to get a troll face behind Rose as she usually was the one with all of the information. Eventually, the guy would nod at them both and spoke again. "Well in all seriousness, the guy is trying to make Cedar Town for the wealthy only." he looked kind of grim when he said this, as Haru also got the same expression on his face. "Something about...as the Council Member representing that town, he wants it to be prim, perfect, pristine, and represent him to the fullest extent. Not to mention that guy is a MAJOR silver spooner; who's family basically paid his way through politics. He really didn't have to work to get elected as the Rep. from Cedar.
His anger would build on the inside, as Rose noticed Haru begin to literally steam with heat a little. She would tell him to calm down; as his fists stayed balled up even when he did calm down. They couldn't let this continue. They couldn't. After his mother had gotten cut off by the Reyold family; for getting pregnant with him. She struggled her ass off. Had to eat whatever food Igneel brought her and the baby Haru on his hunting. Fortunately, she was a hell of a cook and had a nice vegetable garden so they actually managed to have dinner every night in Terra Ignis' slums.
"This guy.....is a piece of fucking trash!" he said as he stared at the file with several pictures of the Councilman going to and fro. "He doesn't deserve a jewel in his pocket!!!" he yelled as Rose gave him the 'shhh' symbol, he realized then they were conducting a top secret job, and that he would have to maintain his emotions during this Job or else he'd blow their cover easily. "I'm sorry....it's just, stuff like this gets me really fired up." he looked away from the file and just stood there with his fists balled up now.
"I feel the same way Haru, my dad didn't exactly have it easy." his guildmate in the crystal lacrima ball said back to him. "But, that's not all I found out. It's 4 Cedar Knights specifically that are the ring leaders for this little class warfare fucked uptivity." he said, making up slang words to show his own distaste for this whole thing. "Haru, promise me...you and Rose will put and end to this, not just for the guild. But for those people getting slapped around by the Cedar Knights for no reason. It's not right." he would nod to Haru as with a very serious look Haru would reply to him.
"Oh I promise, I'm going to seriously fuck their operation up....they'll NEVER see me coming." he would raise a fist and nod as Rose would do the same. The crystal ball lacrima would fade as the two of them would look at one another.
"Well....I guess we've got no choice but to literally snatch a knight off of the street and interrogate him." she said as Haru would look out the hotel window, through the sliding glass balcony and nod to himself as he heard the chanting in the street. "Leave the balcony door open, I have a feeling we'll be needing it." she said as she got a sinister smile that even disturbed Haru a bit as she rubbed her paws together. "It's been awhile since I've done a good tortu--I mean interrogation." she said as she ReQuipped a curved knife into her hand and held it up, sparkling dangerously as she did so.
"Christ...we're just gonna scare the guy. But...if he doesn't cooperate I may have you step in and hurt him." he would look over at Rose raising an eyebrow as the Exceed would roll her eyes and make her weapon disappear in a blue flash just as it had appeared. Eventually she gave a 'fine' that she'd wait for his word to begin the real fun as Haru would leap up onto the actual railing on the balcony, showing some balance as he took a knee and leaped off landing on a nearby roof and just walking on it calmly watching the riots down below. Rose would fly down, and make her wings disappear with Aera Magic, also hopping roof to roof with Haru without soaring around town to draw that much attention.
As he looked out amongst the crowd, he actually got somewhat sad as he saw people his age also chanting at a fever pitch as they also marched with others. Would this..have been his life if he wasn't born with magic? Would he be stepped on just like the rest of these regular humans....this wasn't right. Rose sensed him stalling, as he was now just standing on the roof looking down at the crowds, with a tug on his pants he snapped out of it as they continued to move. It seemed like the Cedar Knights themselves were just keeping a watchful eye on the crowd, from the sidewalks. Letting them march and protest without so much as interfering with them. Keeping a wary eye on the knights, Haru would notice that the large mob of easily one thousand people was heading right for city hall with their chants and signs both pumping into the air.
"Oh man....this is not going to end up well." it seems that today was they day the activists had planned to storm city hall after months and weeks of protests and their cries of unfair treatment going unheard. "Rose...let's blend in with the crowd now while we have the chance." he said to her, and with a nod to one another they would literally hop off the roof. Not normal for a boy his age, but no one really saw them as they landed between houses in an ally. Slipping out together, they would blend in easily as there were literally a ton of people and just walk through the crowd with them. Rose riding on Haru's shoulder as literally they were packed in between people screaming and holding signs. Moving toward city hall.
He heard all types of curse words and profanity, which made him laugh a little because the Cedar Knights had no idea what to do as they realized this huge mob was headed right for city hall. They seemed to be organizing and mobilizing in front of them on the street. Soon enough, Haru's suspicions were right as a literal wall of Cedar Knights stood between the people and city hall when they did arrive.
"This is...not going to end well." Rose said as she put a paw to her forehead. "No...definitely not going to end well." as a soda flew through the air, to be blocked by one of the Cedar Knights shields only forty yards ahead. As a huge no-mans land gap was created between the civilians and the knights during the stand off and chanting.

The situation began to get worse as the Cedar Knights seemed to arm themselves and the civilians began to do the same as in the crowd; weapons began to get pulled out all around Haru. This was about to turn into a damn bloodbath right in front of him unless he did something. Soon enough, one of the members of the townsfolk would step up ahead in the no-mans land area to lead chants of "LEAVE US ALONE, WE WORK HARD!" repeatedly as the crowd would join in the chanting.
Haru was about to join in himself before he realized he was here on a damn Job. Shaking it off, he moved up further through the crowd to get a better look at the Knights reaction to this. "PLEASE DISPERSE" was heard over, and over, and over again as it was the only thing being said by the Cedar Knights at any real volume. However, using his superhuman hearing he tuned out the crowd in his head and just listened in the direction of the knights line.
"Can't believe they're doing this."
"How did this crap get started."
"Who cares, they're all broke pieces of shit anyways."
As son as he heard that last part, he turned and tried to focus on the area from which that statement came.
"What? How could you say that?"
"It's true. You don't think so, really?"
"That was a really fucking shitty thing to say."
The knights seemed to not all have the same point of view, as Haru easily spotted the conversation between three knights, all in formation at the front of their line in front of city hall as he watched them carefully; he pointed out to Rose what he'd been seeing, telling her what he'd heard, he saw her eyes narrow at the guy who'd made the comments. Although from this far, he wouldn't be able to pluck them out of a crowd. "Seems we've got ourselves a target huh." he would say as she would only nod in reply with a 'mhm!' they decided that they would have to wait for everything to calm down to have a chance to snatch him up. However, they could not see what was coming next. The civilians actually friggin charged as the riots began to turn violent. "NO!" he watched as they were brutalized by the Cedar Knights on all sides, beat down with shields and plate mail armor, swords being threatened at them. His fist would literally ignite into flames; before Rose would put a hand on his wrist and shake her head. "Focus on the mission, Haru." she said without looking at him from below, blinking in surprise he struggled for a moment with the violence around him and then the flames would die down; leaving only smoke on his fist.
Nodding to one another, they would mingle amongst the violence, Haru actually had to take a swing at a knight himself; it connected and sent the guy bouncing off the ground and into a sidewalk steel trash bin. A few people saw this amazing display and got even more fired up; causing Haru to shake his head and continue to look through the crowd for their target. Eventually he spotted him, walking up on a family with his sword drawn. A single mom with her two kids. This almost sent Haru into a rage; but before he could act, Rose had flown upward out of the rioting, and swooped into the guy from behind; causing him to drop his weapons with a clatter in front of the terrified family.
"GO HOME with the kids, NOW!" he yelled at the lady as she would quickly scurry off out of the riot area and away from city hall. The violent protests continued as Haru would quickly make his way out of the crowd with some shoving and ducking of Cedar Knights and eventually he would make his way back to the rooftops. Hopping forward, he saw Rose dip toward the hotel balconies up above. With Fire Dragon's Rocket he would launch himself up, up, and up, grabbing onto the balcony after literally soaring through the air after rocket blasts of flame erupted from his feet. Pulling himself up over it, after dangling easily a few stories he would walk into the room where Rose had a sword pointed at the guy; one she'd probably ReQuipped.
"HELP! HELP!!! HEEEEELPPPP!!!" with a loud whack sound, Haru kicked the guy right across the mouth; causing him to shut up as a little bit of blood dripped from his mouth and tongue. "If you keep on screaming, I'll keep on kicking." Haru warned as the guy held his mouth; blood dripping between his fingers. "Now, you're going to tell me everything you know." as he said this the guy looked somewhat shocked for only a split second; letting both Haru and Rose know that he did in fact know something.
"No.....never." he said, spitting blood out onto the floor of their hotel room. He tried to make a break for it with a crawl as Haru stomped on his ankle; breaking it with a crunch the guy literally screamed even louder as Haru would lift him off the ground and shove him into a chair. "Going to hop your way out?" he jested as the guy began to wimper in pain. Haru had no sympathy for his whining and neither did Rose. "You need a hospital, so, talk now and we'll make sure you get there." as he spoke, the guy seemed to notice Rose's emblem of Fairy Tail in white on her shoulder.
"Of course.......it would be you guys." he would then smile as blood dripped off his lips again. "Well, if I'm not going to get killed...I don't have anything to fear." as Haru sighed, he nodded to Rose to step forward. With a simple swish of her blade through the air, she pointed it right at the guy. "Fairy Tail has different rules about that now......." she had a very dark look in her eyes, meaning she would do this if he didn't cooperate. She would end him.
"I'm sure you can tell that cat isn't joking around." Haru said to him plainly as the guy retorted that they couldn't be serious. Killing a Cedar Knight would definitely result in their guild going under, going dark again. "Don't worry, no one will ever find you. You'll just be ashes, even after she's done running you through." he showed the guy he was a fire mage by igniting one of his hands into flames briefly; before putting out the flames as they dissipated magically with a hiss of flame and smoke.
"Fine.....FINE!!! There's a lot of us who are getting payments from Councilman Sloan. All we have to do is be real dicks to the poorest people in town see, try to drive them out." he almost sounded like he felt bad about what he'd been doing. This only served to make Haru angrier, as he doubted this guy would have any qualms about continuing that type of behavior unless he'd been caught. Now with a broken ankle, and bloody mouth; he probably felt the pain he'd inflicted on others. "There's...four Cedar Knights in charge of this whole damn thing. I can tell you where they are...but my ankle is pounding. I promise....I'll move out of Cedar Town, I never want to be involved in this type of shit ever again!!!" he said it with a furor that only someone who meant what they said could. Listening to his tone, Haru could tell he meant it.
Giving them the exact street, and times that they met. Haru would take the guy to the hospital, with a slow ten minute limp through the streets; even letting him put an arm around him. The hospital was very busy, but when they saw a Cedar Knight being helped in, they rushed to him. Asking what had happened, Haru shot him a look. "I got hurt during the riots....nothing bad." he said as the guy gave Haru a look and a nod which he returned.
"You did the right thing....and I'm sorry about what happened to you." he said to the guy, apologizing for the way he'd treated him. Even if he was a shitty person, there was always a chance for people to change in his mind. Exiting the hospital, Rose would literally be flying down toward him. Looping around him and landing on his shoulder per usual, she would suggest that they go and get dinner at a place nearby where they met every night. Agreeing, as he could definitely use some dinner and a snack to boot; they would set off through town. Doing their best to avoid city hall at all, and the violent riots taking place there. He wanted to just soar over with Rose and put and end to them personally; but that wasn't the Job, not the mission. He struggled with this as they actually got to the restaurant in pretty decent time.
It was literally empty as the hostess would walk up to them.
"Wow....customers on the day of the City Hall Protest. You guys must be from out of town." she said as she got a menu and handed it to Haru. With a nod, he skimmed the menu and then handed it to Rose for her to look at.
"You could say that. But I'm a mage, from Fairy Tail." as he said this, the lady seemed to take him a lot more seriously out of nowhere even though she was around his age. "Don't worry.....we're just here to get something to eat." he reassured her with a rare smile as Rose would nod alongside him.
"I see....that cat is adorable by the way." when she said this, Rose would blush a bit as Haru would join in. "Oh you think so too huh?" he picked up Rose and hugged her a bit, causing Rose to let out a 'what the!' as Haru never acted like this with her. As soon as she spoke, the girl screamed and hopped back. "IT TALKS!!! OH MY GOD!!!" when she'd calmed down a bit, they made it to their table after her commotion caused the only other person working there, the bartender to look over at them suspiciously for a few minutes before going back to time passing work like cleaning the bar; since they were the only customers here now.
"When night time drops....we'll make our move." Haru looked over at the park in central Cedar where they supposedly met at knight around the fountain. A good cover, it just seemed like four patrols meeting up at night to exchange information or shifts. "I won't let them get away with this......" he thought as he looked out the window. Springtime was in the air, and the sunset began to drop as the chants only seemed to intensify at knight as torches and flames were seen all around town. Sniffing, as he could smell the fire from the torches lit; even from here inside of a building, he got even more hungry and just began to wave over the girl and start ordering.
Haru was about to join in himself before he realized he was here on a damn Job. Shaking it off, he moved up further through the crowd to get a better look at the Knights reaction to this. "PLEASE DISPERSE" was heard over, and over, and over again as it was the only thing being said by the Cedar Knights at any real volume. However, using his superhuman hearing he tuned out the crowd in his head and just listened in the direction of the knights line.
"Can't believe they're doing this."
"How did this crap get started."
"Who cares, they're all broke pieces of shit anyways."
As son as he heard that last part, he turned and tried to focus on the area from which that statement came.
"What? How could you say that?"
"It's true. You don't think so, really?"
"That was a really fucking shitty thing to say."
The knights seemed to not all have the same point of view, as Haru easily spotted the conversation between three knights, all in formation at the front of their line in front of city hall as he watched them carefully; he pointed out to Rose what he'd been seeing, telling her what he'd heard, he saw her eyes narrow at the guy who'd made the comments. Although from this far, he wouldn't be able to pluck them out of a crowd. "Seems we've got ourselves a target huh." he would say as she would only nod in reply with a 'mhm!' they decided that they would have to wait for everything to calm down to have a chance to snatch him up. However, they could not see what was coming next. The civilians actually friggin charged as the riots began to turn violent. "NO!" he watched as they were brutalized by the Cedar Knights on all sides, beat down with shields and plate mail armor, swords being threatened at them. His fist would literally ignite into flames; before Rose would put a hand on his wrist and shake her head. "Focus on the mission, Haru." she said without looking at him from below, blinking in surprise he struggled for a moment with the violence around him and then the flames would die down; leaving only smoke on his fist.
Nodding to one another, they would mingle amongst the violence, Haru actually had to take a swing at a knight himself; it connected and sent the guy bouncing off the ground and into a sidewalk steel trash bin. A few people saw this amazing display and got even more fired up; causing Haru to shake his head and continue to look through the crowd for their target. Eventually he spotted him, walking up on a family with his sword drawn. A single mom with her two kids. This almost sent Haru into a rage; but before he could act, Rose had flown upward out of the rioting, and swooped into the guy from behind; causing him to drop his weapons with a clatter in front of the terrified family.
"GO HOME with the kids, NOW!" he yelled at the lady as she would quickly scurry off out of the riot area and away from city hall. The violent protests continued as Haru would quickly make his way out of the crowd with some shoving and ducking of Cedar Knights and eventually he would make his way back to the rooftops. Hopping forward, he saw Rose dip toward the hotel balconies up above. With Fire Dragon's Rocket he would launch himself up, up, and up, grabbing onto the balcony after literally soaring through the air after rocket blasts of flame erupted from his feet. Pulling himself up over it, after dangling easily a few stories he would walk into the room where Rose had a sword pointed at the guy; one she'd probably ReQuipped.
"HELP! HELP!!! HEEEEELPPPP!!!" with a loud whack sound, Haru kicked the guy right across the mouth; causing him to shut up as a little bit of blood dripped from his mouth and tongue. "If you keep on screaming, I'll keep on kicking." Haru warned as the guy held his mouth; blood dripping between his fingers. "Now, you're going to tell me everything you know." as he said this the guy looked somewhat shocked for only a split second; letting both Haru and Rose know that he did in fact know something.
"No.....never." he said, spitting blood out onto the floor of their hotel room. He tried to make a break for it with a crawl as Haru stomped on his ankle; breaking it with a crunch the guy literally screamed even louder as Haru would lift him off the ground and shove him into a chair. "Going to hop your way out?" he jested as the guy began to wimper in pain. Haru had no sympathy for his whining and neither did Rose. "You need a hospital, so, talk now and we'll make sure you get there." as he spoke, the guy seemed to notice Rose's emblem of Fairy Tail in white on her shoulder.
"Of course.......it would be you guys." he would then smile as blood dripped off his lips again. "Well, if I'm not going to get killed...I don't have anything to fear." as Haru sighed, he nodded to Rose to step forward. With a simple swish of her blade through the air, she pointed it right at the guy. "Fairy Tail has different rules about that now......." she had a very dark look in her eyes, meaning she would do this if he didn't cooperate. She would end him.
"I'm sure you can tell that cat isn't joking around." Haru said to him plainly as the guy retorted that they couldn't be serious. Killing a Cedar Knight would definitely result in their guild going under, going dark again. "Don't worry, no one will ever find you. You'll just be ashes, even after she's done running you through." he showed the guy he was a fire mage by igniting one of his hands into flames briefly; before putting out the flames as they dissipated magically with a hiss of flame and smoke.
"Fine.....FINE!!! There's a lot of us who are getting payments from Councilman Sloan. All we have to do is be real dicks to the poorest people in town see, try to drive them out." he almost sounded like he felt bad about what he'd been doing. This only served to make Haru angrier, as he doubted this guy would have any qualms about continuing that type of behavior unless he'd been caught. Now with a broken ankle, and bloody mouth; he probably felt the pain he'd inflicted on others. "There's...four Cedar Knights in charge of this whole damn thing. I can tell you where they are...but my ankle is pounding. I promise....I'll move out of Cedar Town, I never want to be involved in this type of shit ever again!!!" he said it with a furor that only someone who meant what they said could. Listening to his tone, Haru could tell he meant it.
Giving them the exact street, and times that they met. Haru would take the guy to the hospital, with a slow ten minute limp through the streets; even letting him put an arm around him. The hospital was very busy, but when they saw a Cedar Knight being helped in, they rushed to him. Asking what had happened, Haru shot him a look. "I got hurt during the riots....nothing bad." he said as the guy gave Haru a look and a nod which he returned.
"You did the right thing....and I'm sorry about what happened to you." he said to the guy, apologizing for the way he'd treated him. Even if he was a shitty person, there was always a chance for people to change in his mind. Exiting the hospital, Rose would literally be flying down toward him. Looping around him and landing on his shoulder per usual, she would suggest that they go and get dinner at a place nearby where they met every night. Agreeing, as he could definitely use some dinner and a snack to boot; they would set off through town. Doing their best to avoid city hall at all, and the violent riots taking place there. He wanted to just soar over with Rose and put and end to them personally; but that wasn't the Job, not the mission. He struggled with this as they actually got to the restaurant in pretty decent time.

Haru would feel like he could just fade away into frigging heaven right now with how good everything was. The sushi, the vegetables, the ramen. PERFECT. As he leaned back after all his empty plats were done, he would look across as Rose finished off her fried catfish. Licking her paws and sparkling as she did so comically, making Haru crack a rare smile. Soon enough however, the waitress and the hostess began to talk with one another nearby, as Haru could hear them clearly from where he sat.
"That kid is definitely the Fairy Tail mage, Haru Reyold."
"That's impossible...I heard he was pretty heroic, he looks too young."
"He's pretty fine though...."
"Yeah the good looking part is true...."
"But...with the town rioting, he's just sitting here fucking bullshitting around...."
Frowning to himself as he stared at the plate, after a smile quickly faded from their compliments, she approached the table.
"How was everything?" she asked, as Haru looked up at her and raised an eyebrow before shrugging. "Oh...I'm sorry, do you want me to get the chef?" she said looking upset a bit. Realizing what he'd done that quickly, Haru would look up at the girl and wave his hand innocently as if to let her know it was ok. "Well actually....it was damn good....haha...hahaha." he let out a few chuckles as she let out a relieved smile. "Yeah, our food actually is pretty good here....I was worried for a minute there." she said playfully smacking him with the menu in the arm. This made him smile a little, maybe this girl was alright; just a gossip queen. Her and her friend.
"Hey....tonight, make sure you guys close up shop as quickly as possible. Tell the managers there might be some mages fighting near that fountain over there...." he pointed with one thumb quickly to his left without looking. "I'll try to avoid this restaurant. Cedar Jack's...I love this place, wouldn't want it to get blown up now would I?" he smirked at her as she looked very disturbed, but then realized she was in fact correct earlier when talking to her co-worker.
"....Why is Fairy Tail operating in Cedar?" she said honestly wanting to know, he could tell. Staring at her for a moment, all he would say was. "We're here to put a stop to all these riots and to put a stop to any police brutality going on in town." the tan skinned girl only put on a serious expression and nodded; running off to warn the manager and the co-workers as Haru paid and left, leaving the jewels on the table as he had stood up and exited. Night time was approaching very quickly, so he decided to get a bag of chips from a convenience store nearby and then sit down on a bench. Rose would do the same, but got comfortable on him and leaned on him, sleeping with her legs crossed out onto the bench.
The glow of the street lights and the occasional car or horse going by was all that was heard. Eventually, they would just wait, and wait. Until---finally; one Cedar Knight went into the park after dark. But he could've just been on patrol, and didn't act suspicious at all. After about fifteen more minutes went by, Haru saw another one go in; accompanied by one more. Rose however, had woken up now after her brief nap, and saw this too. "A coincidence?" she asked, as Haru realized she was awake. Nodding down to her, he would reply "I don't knowwwwwwww......kinda suspicious." as soon as he said this, another one rounded the corner and headed right into the park. Both he and Rose sat up a little and nodded at one another. "Operation cute cat?" she asked. "Sounds good to me." he replied as she would hop into his arms and cuddle with him getting comfortable.
Haru would set off at a walk, scratching her fur as he went and walked right through the stone walksways looping through grassy hills like most nice parks at night. Street lights broad, he would move toward the fountain where four Cedar Knights were conversing with one another. He walked right by them as operation cute cat's protocol called for, initiation of action plan number 11 or so between he and Rose; this one was usually one hundred percent effective. Six for six so far. Haru would walk right by them and one of them would call out to him. "Yo kid! Kinda late to be out don't you think. Especially with all this commotion going on, so get your ass home, NOW!" he got disrespectful as Haru stopped and turned around. As they set eyes on the cat, one of them spoke up in Haru's defense. "Hey man, he's not out there with the little fucking shit bags tearing up our town....he seems like a good kid, plus that cat is way to cute to fuck with." he said as he pointed his sword at Rose and protested.
"Hey...that's an Exceed, wow." one who hadn't spoke yet, who seemed more level headed looked at Rose. "Wow, what a legendary magical creature.....you're one lucky kid." as he said this, Rose would look up at Haru from her cuddling position. "Don't kill that one. Or hurt him too bad." she said this so only Haru could hear her, but one of the guards caught wind of her talking and asked what she'd just said. "Oh nothing, thank you guys for the compliment though." as she talked all of them let out a simultaneous 'whoaaaaaa' as the rumors about Exceeds being able to talk was just confirmed in front of their very eyes. "Damn....we'll have to tell Councilman Sloan that a kid with one of those is living in town....." as he said this in a low tone of voice, expecting Haru not to hear as he'd turned his back to Haru and Rose now. However, not knowing about his superhuman hearing was a downside as Haru had just confirmed these were the guys he was looking for.

Attempting to split up and run, Haru would cause a huge noise from his body just by raising his magic power; a dragon's roar. To erupt from him as Fire Dragon's Brilliant Flame would erupt through the park, smashing dynamically through the fountain and evaporating all the water in it to steam as it crumbled a little bit; the sound of the dragons roar intensified as the ground began to shake; Haru just raising his magic power more and more as the shockwave actually forced the guys to lay on the ground and hold onto it so as not to go flying off uncontrollably. As flames danced and the ground shook, Haru began walking toward the guys as their clothes were on fire now from raw heat.
"HOLY FUCKING SHIT!!! WHAT IS THIS!!!!" one of them said as he held onto a piece of a bench that had been upended. "I THINK....OH MY GOD, I THINK IT'S THAT FIRE MAGE FROM FAIRY TAIL!!!" another one yelled over the dragon roar just as the spell stopped. The entire town heard the roar and looked toward the park now, with literal awe; as the rioting dead stopped as the flames literally inferno twisted into the air and disappeared with the roar; the ground stopped shaking throughout town as well as the amount of magic power in the air disappeared. The guys were laying on the ground, their clothes; and one wearing plate mail's armor had melted onto him as he screamed throwing it off of himself the other two ripped off the clothes they had on that were on fire.
"I see.....so you're Heero's grandson then." one of the guys had a literal swarm of bees spinning around him with an extremely loud buzz. With a flash of magic, the amount of bees increased as they stated spinning faster and faster around him. "Haru Reyold, the fire eater." as he said this the camera would switch back to Haru walking up closer to him from an above shot as he stood in front of the guy with his bees swirling all around him. Raising a hand at Haru and his eyebrows at the same time; the guy sent the wave forward as Haru just inhaled and exhaled; causing a literal tidal wave of flames to erupt from his scream like roar; right from his mouth it plowed through the park like a kamehameha; leaving a huge scorch mark where it had hit. The bees were all evaporated instantly as the guy literally was riding a tiger now out of nowhere, dodging Haru's roar as he continued to exhale it. Quite an impressive feat considering how fast he was going.
"YOU LOT, GET OUT OF HERE!" he yelled at his comrades. "You won't be of any help against a guy like this!!!" he said as he rode on his summoned tiger as Haru continued to exhale flames right on his ass. As the tiger increased it's speed. They protested, as they held up their weapons; realizing they all had been melted or shattered to a crisp. "You guys aren't mages, get out of here that's an order." the guy with long black hair said as he rode on his tiger. "How valiant." Rose wold appear in front of him out of nowhere, white wings out and a katana ReQuipped into her right paw. With a twirl she rocketed forward with Aera Magic, cleaving the tiger he was riding in two as it exploded in a burst of mana sending the guy flying into the air and tumbling down as Haru stopped exhaling his roar.
"One on one now, Rose." Haru said holding out a hand to his Exceed. In disbelief she protested as she floated back down near him. "Um HELLO! That guy just summoned a literal tiger out of thin air!!! Don't be naive!!!" she said pointing her katana at him and narrowing her eyes at him. He shook in his boots at the feeling of Rose's magic power. It scared the literal shit out of him. His cat was even stronger than he was. "He uses a magic called Arc of the Wild...it lets him make any animal humans know about, magical or non-magical in an instant." Haru would raise a fist as it ignited on fire, causing a soft dragon's roar sound as it burned. "I don't care...if he supports a bastard like Sloan, I want him to be thoroughly embarrassed." Haru would smile at the guy tauntingly, as the guy actually smiled back thinking that if Rose stayed out of this he'd have a chance to knock this kid out and get away on one of his animals while the cat helped the kid out. His arrogance would be his undoing.
"So what, he wants poor people out of town. They don't do shit but bring us down here anyway." he commented which pissed both Haru and Rose off briefly. "You agree with him! So it isn't just about the money for you......." he looked at Rose; asking her if this was the one she'd asked not to hurt badly earlier. She replied that no, it had been the fat one with the axe. Smiling to himself, as the guy looked ready himself. Haru noticed he was the only one out of the four of them that hadn't been carrying a weapon. Meaning he relied only on his magic and hand to hand combat; just like Haru himself.
"Rose, grab those guys." Haru said as he nodded to the guys dipping out full sprint from the central park of Cedar. With a simple 'right' Rose would rocket off with Aera Magic, DeQuipping her katana in a blue flash and ReQuipping a huge 8ft Megaton Hammer. Smacking the ground with it, a huge chunk of land exploded in front of the guys. When the dust settled, the cat stood across from them. "Sorry about this guys." she said as she charged them.
The scene would switch back to Haru facing down his opponent as the two began to circle one another. Three wolves appeared in blue flashes around the guy, as Haru would slowly begin to catch on fire; as All Fired Up began. Flames whirling around his hair, body, and face tightly as they circled one another and stared each other down fiercely.

The guys were laying on the ground, their clothes; and one wearing plate mail's armor had melted onto him as he screamed throwing it off of himself the other two ripped off the clothes they had on that were on fire.
"I see.....so you're Heero's grandson then." one of the guys had a literal swarm of bees spinning around him with an extremely loud buzz. With a flash of magic, the amount of bees increased as they stated spinning faster and faster around him. "Haru Reyold, the fire eater." as he said this the camera would switch back to Haru walking up closer to him from an above shot as he stood in front of the guy with his bees swirling all around him. Raising a hand at Haru and his eyebrows at the same time; the guy sent the wave forward as Haru just inhaled and exhaled; causing a literal tidal wave of flames to erupt from his scream like roar; right from his mouth it plowed through the park like a kamehameha; leaving a huge scorch mark where it had hit. The bees were all evaporated instantly as the guy literally was riding a tiger now out of nowhere, dodging Haru's roar as he continued to exhale it. Quite an impressive feat considering how fast he was going.
"YOU LOT, GET OUT OF HERE!" he yelled at his comrades. "You won't be of any help against a guy like this!!!" he said as he rode on his summoned tiger as Haru continued to exhale flames right on his ass. As the tiger increased it's speed. They protested, as they held up their weapons; realizing they all had been melted or shattered to a crisp. "You guys aren't mages, get out of here that's an order." the guy with long black hair said as he rode on his tiger. "How valiant." Rose wold appear in front of him out of nowhere, white wings out and a katana ReQuipped into her right paw. With a twirl she rocketed forward with Aera Magic, cleaving the tiger he was riding in two as it exploded in a burst of mana sending the guy flying into the air and tumbling down as Haru stopped exhaling his roar.
"One on one now, Rose." Haru said holding out a hand to his Exceed. In disbelief she protested as she floated back down near him. "Um HELLO! That guy just summoned a literal tiger out of thin air!!! Don't be naive!!!" she said pointing her katana at him and narrowing her eyes at him. He shook in his boots at the feeling of Rose's magic power. It scared the literal shit out of him. His cat was even stronger than he was. "He uses a magic called Arc of the Wild...it lets him make any animal humans know about, magical or non-magical in an instant." Haru would raise a fist as it ignited on fire, causing a soft dragon's roar sound as it burned. "I don't care...if he supports a bastard like Sloan, I want him to be thoroughly embarrassed." Haru would smile at the guy tauntingly, as the guy actually smiled back thinking that if Rose stayed out of this he'd have a chance to knock this kid out and get away on one of his animals while the cat helped the kid out. His arrogance would be his undoing.
"So what, he wants poor people out of town. They don't do shit but bring us down here anyway." he commented which pissed both Haru and Rose off briefly. "You agree with him! So it isn't just about the money for you......." he looked at Rose; asking her if this was the one she'd asked not to hurt badly earlier. She replied that no, it had been the fat one with the axe. Smiling to himself, as the guy looked ready himself. Haru noticed he was the only one out of the four of them that hadn't been carrying a weapon. Meaning he relied only on his magic and hand to hand combat; just like Haru himself.
"Rose, grab those guys." Haru said as he nodded to the guys dipping out full sprint from the central park of Cedar. With a simple 'right' Rose would rocket off with Aera Magic, DeQuipping her katana in a blue flash and ReQuipping a huge 8ft Megaton Hammer. Smacking the ground with it, a huge chunk of land exploded in front of the guys. When the dust settled, the cat stood across from them. "Sorry about this guys." she said as she charged them.
The scene would switch back to Haru facing down his opponent as the two began to circle one another. Three wolves appeared in blue flashes around the guy, as Haru would slowly begin to catch on fire; as All Fired Up began. Flames whirling around his hair, body, and face tightly as they circled one another and stared each other down fiercely.

After circling one another one last time, Haru's flames would ignite brightly as the guys wolves would let out a huge howl as they both charged one another. The guy let his wolves come in first, which was smart as they ran at Haru; a huge gust of flames however would surround Haru; as he would disappear, shot like a bullet with a groundshaking burst of flames right at his opponent Fire Dragon's Sword Horn would go off as he erupted into his target with a literal flaming headbutt, the guy got hit in the stomach from the attack and actually doubled over in pain as Haru would up for another hit.
Three wolves actually jumped onto him, as they tore at him and his clothing. With a step back after throwing them off best he could; Haru would ignite himself with Dragon King's Inferno as the intensity of fire around him would literally cause the wolves to howl out in pain and leap back toward their master who stood up again, and stared Haru down as he rose. With a wave of his hand, a literal rhino came charging out of nowhere; appearing in a blue light and shaking the ground from it's raw weight as it came barreling at Haru.
"Hahahaha, yes!" the guy said as he watched his opponent get charged. However, when the rhino stopped as if it hit something he wondered what the heck could be holding it up....it couldn't be. The scene showed Haru literally one hand wrestling the rhino as flames licked and whirled around him still. The rhino got it's grip back and charged, lifting Haru off of his feet and into a wall with a loud crash; as a stone wall behind a bench crumbled; as the rhino had also turned the bench in the park to twisted metal with it's charge. "Hehhh..hahahaha!" the guy said as a bit of dust cleared and he saw Haru with a gash right in his stomach bleeding badly.
"Now...finish him of my wolfpack." he said with a sly grin as the wolves charged up to where Haru was in the wall, along with the rhino. However, Haru was listening to this all with his eyes closed. His superhuman hearing never failing him. He would open his eyes at the sound of the hounds panting and running with an approach. Fire Dragon's Roar would literally gush out and eclipse nearly everything in front of Haru as a literal flame wave with no end in sight approached the guy. His wolves and rhinoceros was swallowed up, by fire as Haru would continue to exhale it. "What! After taking a hit like that!!!" he said as he fully ducked down and attempted to roll with the flames as they burnt like hell and literally scorched the guy to near death as he was also thrown high into the air backward.
Stopping his roar, Haru would literally exhale smoke from his nose like a dragon and run at the guy who stood back up; now enraged. Holding out a hand with a loud yell the guy literally summoned a swarm of eagles as he screamed; magic circles and blue flashes appearing instantly everywhere as Haru would once again; charge a bunch of flames on his fist and begin running right at the guy, considering his superhuman speed as a mage; this left a trail of fire in the air from his fist moving so fast. As the scene got close to Haru, one could tell his fist was literally roaring like a dragon with flames magically as he actually ducked an eagles talons and continued to run. Two more came at him from the sides as he leaped forward between them, three more eagles managing to rip his arms, clothes, and the side of his arms a bit wit their talons; the blood dried quickly in all the heat however; and Haru went flying right at the guy, delivering a punch that literally exploded with fire as the guy howled and went backflipping away on fire as he would land on the ground with a skid; smoking from the flames as Haru's fist was also smoking as he stood there.
The animals summoned with Arc of Wild disappeared in blue shimmers of mana as Haru would sigh; and wince to himself a bit, holding his stomach area. "Tch.....guy calls out a fucking rhino..." he said to himself as he looked at his hand; blood covering his hand from the spot he'd been gored by a literal rhino. Fortunately his muscles were honed by a dragon, so he was extra tough even for a mage. But that, that hurt a lot. He felt the pulsing of pain as Rose would fly down to his side. "We need to get you to a hospital or back to the guild...." she said as she looked at the blood coming through the hole in his white gi. Shaking his head, Rose would look surprised. "WHAT?" she got irritated about to make him do so as his guild superior, a tactic she rarely used since they were partners.
"Fine........just don't lose your cool alright?" Haru said, smiling at her with the small taunt. She laughed a bit with a chuckle, as she flicked her ears playfully. "OH, telling me to cool down now are we?" she nodded to him. "Alright...well you and me both, let's get ourselves to the Cedar Knight's HQ...tell em we found the ones working with Councilman Sloan." Rose would say as Haru would nod back at her.
"No need." a voice came from behind them both, as a man in the Cedar Knights uniform; but the only one wearing a blue cape would come forward from the crowd that had gathered outside of the park. He'd been walking up as the battle came to it's conclusion, overhearing them he would nod to Haru. "So you're the mage in town?" he would smile at him. "Let me see what information you've got on these guys......the rioting seemed to stop all of a sudden; when I saw flames exploding from the park, I guess everyone else saw it too." he commented. For once, Haru's fire magic had helped. He actually felt good. Not like that time he went on a job with a wizard saint. He'd lost himself in rage then and almost destroyed everyone and everything nearby. Although he was sure Astrid could have stopped him somehow if Rose hadn't been there to calm him back down.
"Yessir, we have our full investig---ouch." Haru winced as the captain looked concerned. "Investigation back at the hotel near downtown...I'm sure you'll absolutely LOVE what you find there." he would finish. Rose would nod. "Yep...it seems a Magic Council member was trying to force the poor out of town with police brutality." Rose would finish as the captain literally looked enraged.
"WHAT! If you can prove this!!!" as Rose pointed to two guys literally hog tied together and rolling around, the guy would also notice their leader smoking badly on the ground, screaming for help as he was also injured badly. Haru noticed that one of them was missing. The one that had called Rose adorable. With a look at her, he would smile; as she'd share a smile. The captain noticed this look, and it seemed to not arouse suspicion but excite him. "Great work....so glad Fairy Tail is actually back." he got a grim expression when he looked at his FORMER men, cause he'd surely be letting them off the force. "My mother and father....struggled to make anything possible for me. I won't forgive this lightly." as he said this, Rose would nod at him. Telling him she'd take him to their room, the captain responded with a "Please." as they'd nod at one another.
He would shout near the crowd of people for some of his knights as he instructed them to take Haru to their infirmary. With a sweatdrop over his head, Haru comically tried to refuse help by crossing his arms and looking prideful; however, the men dragged him off best they could since he was actually pretty difficult. Eventually, he gave in and winced to himself, letting them take him off. In the morning, he woke up in the infirmary bed to sunlight, as he heard voices approaching. As he put his pants on, he was shirtless and all wrapped up. Unwrapping the medical bandages around his abs; he'd notice he was all healed up except for a small bruise. Excellent. He hoped up, stretching as he put his shirt; and then tied his long black scarf on. Rose and the captain would step into the area proper as Rose would fly and land on his bed.
"Feeling better now! The captain said the Mayor was more than pleased with the results....but that we blew up half of their park." she shrugged and raised both paws in protest. "But in light of us quelling a literal uprising in his city, he's going to let this one slide." she said as she lowered her paws and looked up at Haru who was smiling down at her. "....What?" she said with her paws on her hips, tail swishing.
"......You're kind of cute when you explain things." he said randomly as she blushed super intensely. Haru...he never said anything like that. What in the world. The captain also smiled a bit.
"An Exceed......they really do talk. I thought I was under some kind of magic spell last night and was hallucinating." he said a little joke of his own as he smiled at Rose who sparkled and nodded back at the guy. "You're alright captain." as she said this he protested back raising his hands innocently. "Hey, I've got my own set of problems at home....single father and all. I'm no better than anyone else." he smiled at Haru who grinned back at him with a nod. "Hm...if you had magic I wouldn't be surprised if you became an official mage as well..." Haru's version of a compliment which caused the guy to laugh as the shook hands one more time.
"You guys...man, I know it's a trip but stop by Cedar Town again. The paper's already out." he held up a newspaper he'd been holding the whole time as it read. FAIRY TAIL UNCOVERS COUNCIL SUBVERSION IN CEDAR TOWN, PUTS AN END TO RIOTS. as Haru's eyes got wide. He saw a Council Member being arrested on the front page. It was Sloan. Wow, they operated quickly. Well with evidence like that against him, it was only natural.
"We'll be sure to do that....Haru found a dang sushi spot...." as she said this, Haru instantly wanted to snack on some sushi for no reason other than it now being on his mind.
