This Vampire is Very Mooooody

Aura was smelling the fresh air around her new guild's hall. Even though Aura wanted to stay and breathe in her new guild she needed jewels. She went to the job board and saw a few other people there. When she looked up she saw a paper with a morbid picture of a ghost white cow. It was dead on the ground and surrounded by grass. As she looked above the picture the job read "The cattle of a village is being drained of their blood. We are scared and ask any mage or warrior that travels through their village for help. We brought together a small fortune as payment for any who will kill the Chupacabra, a monstrous dog whom they think is the perpetrator. The Chupacabra lives in a cave near the village." Out of the blue, Eric yells "This seems exciting, and I'm fired up!" With a tiny nod, she rips off the paper and goes on her way to the village.

Aura left the guild hall an hour ago and is now entering an elevated area. She was starting to get to the mountains. There were many trees surrounding the area. They created an ominous feeling and spooked Aura. Tianna then says "Well, this is depressing." Aura then replies back with an anxious voice "Yeah, no kidding. I keep feeling this weird chill as if something is watching me." Aura shakes and then goes on her way and doesn't look back. The air smelled like pine with the smell of wild animals. The air reminded Aura of traveling to small villages when her family died. She remembered the first group of nice people who let her have shelter when she only had Leo. The couple was an old elderly couple in a village with mud huts. The village was littered with pets and was surrounded by pine trees. The couple used the wood and pine needles from the trees for fire and Aura like how the fire crackled whenever the pine needles were put in. She was still recovering from fire, but for some reason, this fire gave her peace. They went out and got a fish and put it over the fire. It was the first real meal Aura had since her family. She took a piece off and gave it to Leo. She remembered how happy he was and how he jumped up and down at the sight. It was the first time Aura actually felt happy since her family died in that fire. A few days later she left but got a cooked fish that the couple packed for her. As she left she saw the couple cry and it hurt Aura to go but she couldn't stay. A few years later she came back but saw that the village was destroyed and screamed at the world. She saw the area was burned and there were corpses everywhere. She couldn't believe that it happened to her again. As a tear rolls down her face she becomes lucid again and wipes the tear away.

Aura was beginning to go up a mountain. It was extremely sunny outside. The mountains were nothing special but it was a pleasant experience. It really reminded Aura about her traveling days as an orphan and it was extremely pleasant to feel this way again. Aura felt the nice breeze while she hiked up the mountain. With a loud whimper, Mira exclaimed "I don't like heights... I almost fell off of them a lot when I was alive. This is scary." Trying to comfort Mira, Aura said "Don't worry Mira I won't let anything hurt you. I mean either way you are a spirit." Mira then says with a condescending voice "I guess so." On the way up Aura staggered and almost fell straight off of the mountain. She was able to catch herself before she completely fell. She latched onto a rock that was staggering outwards. As she looked up she saw 40, or 50 more of these rocks and realized what she had to do. She continuously climbed the area upwards. More than once one of her body parts slipped but she was tough and she knew that. Aura didn't back down from this challenge and knew she had to climb up higher and higher. She reached the top 30 minutes later and decided to rest. She took out her supplies and saw she only had a few rations left. Tianna then makes a comment on the number of rations. Aura thought her comment was snarky. She has been traveling for a whole day and was wondering how much farther the village was from here. She was sure it couldn't be more than half an hour away so she got up and pushed through it. As she is just about to quit she faceplants in front of a person. She looks up and sees a village with someone who seems to be the mayor right in front of her. With a red face, she stands up and shakes the hand of the mayor who has made a questioning look at Aura. Tianna then says with an annoyed tone "Well that was awkward."

The town seemed very simple but efficient. They seemed to use the mountain to blend in with their homes. This was probably used as a defense mechanism to hide from the creatures around them. Aura had been completely embarrassed by the signs of weakness she showed to the villagers. They did not seem to mind probably due to the fact that they understood the lengths she took to get there. She asked the mayor about the job and he replied back "Hello, Aura we have been expecting you and value your efforts to reach this village. Now for business, our cows have been sucked dry of blood. We have strong belief that the chupacabras have been doing this. We need you to please take care of this. They live in a cave by the village." Aura nodded but had a slight feeling something was off about the story. She shook off the feeling and decided to go on her way to the cave where the chupacabras were said to live in. She went into a forest-like area near the village. A dirt path was leading right from the town through these woods. Aura was sure this was there in order for the villagers to remember the forbidden area. As she was in thought about the strange story of the cows she heard a loud rustling from both sides of the forest.
