    The Contractor

Unexpected the job came to him as quite the surprise, seeing as this wasn't the type of work he normally partook in. Yet with a location such as this who was he to miss the chance of exploring the elaborate system of pathways beneath the earth. A labyrinthine system below some ruins which spanned incalculable distances, it had been all that was drawn in the pictures with its tumbling stone and cascading greenery that got tugged at by stray winds, a beautiful moment in time that he wished could get captured with all the scents and feelings. Scattered across his skin the sun lifted his mood with its rays, its importance was never to be underestimated the sunlight brought down to the earth played a vital importance in life. The life of the seas relied on algae, kelp and other marine plants gathering energy and living off the suns honey like rays. Heart warmed by the thought of how the bright light fed every one of their breaths, stretching back his arms locked above the youths head as his shirt pulled up revealing pale skin to the winter chilled air. For him the weather seemed perfect, whilst odd clouds dotted the sky they seemed to horridly dance away never resting in front of the sun. Yet as bright as it seemed the airs temperature hasn't risen too much, pleasant weather for his choice in clothing. Yet perhaps the others whom had taken up the job would not agree. A few days earlier he had returned to the guild, a lost pod of seeds finally taken route his journey prior had been one of confusion and mind meddling activities. No that had not been a job, time badly spent his brain had been in need of some form of reset. The main room had been quiet upon his return, whilst others had lives of adventure his own seemed pale in comparison, yet the idea of simplistic living brought about a blossoming growth within. The idea was one he could warm to, yet that was until someone had strongly suggested he take up a notice which had appeared recently. Combat wise he still felt similar to a stray daisy growing in the law. Singular and solitary in a sea of blades.  Challenge a mage monstrous power whom had been forced to survive in a labyrinth. The entirety of it all had seemed to be a children's tale.

Fair hair flickering about as a wind tossed in each direction the stray locked obscuring his view momentarily. Particles flaked off, flat papyrus like sheets of compressed rust cracking open his nails levered it all up until the entire piece fell to the ground shattering into the bloom of dust that it was. IT would have been beautiful, the architecture of such a place from what he could tell would have left him paperless due to the amount of sketching he would have done, bases of pillars formed a line, every five or six meters a wide column base rose out of the ground, most of them knocked away by hordes of adventurous souls. Yet the odd one had been left as tall as him, scraps of paint flaking off from age. Yet the markings which had been revealed depicted not a religious nor society scene, not one of stories or folktales to keep children safe. Etched from the stone he traced across what seemed to be a vague detailing, for what reason would there be such a thing near what seemed to be an old shrine. Nimbly dancing around they entangled themselves in the fabric of his scarf his fingers moved with thoughtless motions, the entrance to a labyrinth would be somewhere semi-public where a community would watch over it with a careful gaze. A library or scholarly building, perhaps indeed the shrine close by would house the entrance? As he did when his mind worked to sort a mystery  the youth started humming softly, the sound growing through the ruins like ivy more dust was scraped off the stone wall revealing further details. Encouraging his mind's train of thought that what he saw seemed to be a vague map to the entrance of whatever underground anthill lay beneath their feet.

Yuiisai and her pet Aguya for plot purposes are members of Black Sails.

A lot had happened and in such a short time for the elegant looking courtesan and their attendant Aguya, much of which had happened when she was resting. When they had began to rest a week or so ago they where inside the guild Basilisk Fang but had woken by the one they served being told to lower their top and their guild mark removed and the mark of the West Fiore trading company placed; even now they had no idea why and the looks from both attendant and their lord told them not to ask and so they didn't. That had all had happened however after they had landed within Tolgalen and had to deal with an onslaught of undead from not only the past but the necromancers that had raised them. They held their own guild mark but it seemed that was only a ploy to get to the guilds undead, when they had looked closer they noticed the undead had guild marks from different guilds all over Fiore; it had sickened them to the point they had tapped into their magical potential out of of the want to help the poor souls find help and placed them in a coma for three days.

When they had woken they found themselves in an unusual room and that scared them to the point they almost blew the place up if hadn't been for Aguya and Sol being there to calm them. They explained that where they where was now their home and that they where safe, the rules for that safety soon followed by their guild master and the two he trusted the most. These two came in the forms of an elder male named Johann who's magic seemed wind based and a younger male named Ruvel who's magic seemed to be summoning, but there was more to the youth but had decided to remain quiet at least for now given they had only just been given sanctuary. Over the few weeks they were forced to get use to wearing 'formal' western wear that left them more than a little uncomfortable as they where plain, made out of cotton and showed their legs. It was true given their original line of work they should have been fine with this but they didn't see the issue as the clothing they wore was fine for dealing with things, both they and Aguya felt like their heritage was being stripped from them due to their lord having them join the ranks of Black Sails.

One day they decided enough was enough and wanted to go on a job, normally this was done with Sol leaving jobs in an envelope on their table or giving it to Aguya to pass it to them, today however they decided they were going to pick one for themselves from the guild's job board and would do it wearing their normal clothing; not the stuff that they were forced to because the guild wasn't happy that they apparently looked unprofessional. They still didn't see how pastel coloured hanfu, kimono, hanbok and even western Victorian style dresses could be classed as unprofessional yet they could be wearing short skirts, short dresses or even hot pants in pastel colours and that was more professional in the guilds eyes but then who were they to challenge. Today they had decided to wear a lavender and white hanbok and they were refusing to change regardless of who asked because they weren't doing official tasks within the guild headquarters.

They looked through the jobs on the board and found a few that seemed interesting but something about them didn't seem to them so continued looking. It was then one of the receptionists had walked over and started adding in jobs they had received that day, it was then one jamp out at them and before it was even pinned they delicately removed it from the mans hand "I'll take this one." they said with a gentle giggle making the man blush. "That is a B rank job miss, it'll be to strong for you." he said showing a genuine concern for their safety. "I'll have Aguya and I may bump into another that enjoys exploring along the way, please worry not for me." their tone soothing making the receptionist blush that much more as they passed the sweet scent of the incense they imbued their clothes with filling the males nostrils as they left the guild. "Aguya are you able to fly yet?" they asked their attendant who had remained close but silent the entire time. "Not really, my wing was broken during my last training exercise with our lord." he said rolling his shoulder a little making Yuiisai nod.

"Very well, boat ride it is." they had said making their way down to the docks luckily where they where going was only a short distance from Tolgalen. Getting on the boat they soon set off and due to keeping busy the time passed quickly before they knew it the ship was docking at the port and so got off getting a ride from people who where heading close to where they where. Thanking them as they travelled and again as they parted ways walking towards the area the flyer had said, it had worried them that they had yet to find someone to help "Do you think I made a mistake Aguya?" they asked looking back to the taller male "Possibly, but you accepted the task and thus must see it through my lady." he said bluntly making them nod with a faint sigh knowing he was right. Getting to the location they had both stopped in awe of the architecture "Beautiful..." was the only words that crossed the courtesan's mouth, even in such disrepair it was still breath taking to them only making them wonder what it looked like when it was complete.

Walking on they completely had forgotten that this place could indeed be deadly and so Aguya took their shoulder making them stop. "Hu? O-oh... yes, thank you Aguya." they said with an innocent giggle, it was now that they noticed another with pale coloured hair "Careful my lady, we don't know if he is friend or foe." he warned but Yuiisai had already walked over holding the flyer out "Um... Excuse me, I'm sorry to be a bother but are you a mage?" they asked their flawless and unearthly beauty apparent as they spoke, what wasn't apparent was their gender, within their jet black hair lay a single purple orchid blossom hairpin lending its simplistic beauty to their own. "If you are, would you mind helping me with this... I'm not strong enough to do it alone." they said honestly "We could even see more of the beauty of this place." that would be an added bonus for them both they were sure.

It had almost been crafted for him, a perfect place in which he could expand his world within his mind and create such wondrous things. The craftsmen who build these structures hundreds of years ago must have had spectacular masteries over their trade. To design and create such a structure that would last so long was simply wondrous, each column exactly holding up its designated roofing without wasting any space. With such a perfect angle the roof would have been slanted in such a way to discard rain and debris from above yet the slight slant still wasn't too harsh. The craftsmen and scholars whose minds would have been tested in the creation of the such artworks with each sketch they would have done being turned down again and again by engineers, mechanics, architects their own fellow peers would have turned their noses at such grand designs yet these souls had kept on working. Admirable, how once this structure would have been ridiculed for the duration of the building phase yet as completion neared many of those onlookers would have changed their tune, for if he was enchanted by the ruins which stood before him now the pure wonder that it must have been would have frozen people in their tracks. Perhaps this was a place to mark on the map, to return to should the days of wandering and magic seem boring. A life here wouldn't be so bad, uncovering the history of the ruins, rebuilding it all. Of course that would only be if his life wet astray for some reason.

Each would call it something different, however as the brain within him processing so much information at once it was a sure thing that some of it would get lost through the journey. Whilst he knew that the other two were in the area at some point his mind had filed away that information instead of bringing it to the forefront of his mind. Yet being offered an object by one of them had caused him to re-evaluate what had happened i the last few moments regarding his surroundings, perhaps the ruins had sucked him in. The pure wonder of ancient technology and architecture built into a powerful monument. Drew together slight concern for his own actions etched a few lines in before a soft smile took over, accepting the vaguely familiar flier with a smooth motion. Of course there would be others here, the paper of this one seems better cared for than most would. It was something he would appreciate, knowing that there were many who would use fliers for trash. Yes this was it, the ruins to which no one knew where it ended. Corridors of such length that one could travel for weeks without reaching a branch or turn if they trapeze into the wrong area. None had entered and left again with a fulfilled heart and mind, none had ever left it. Yet the request had details depicting a man, elderly of sorts yet perhaps blessed with eternal youth of a sort. Blessed to live forever then cursed to remain in the labyrinth for the entirely of one's life. This request had been the one which he had taken upon himself. End his suffering of the wording of this scrap of paper made their situation seem so abysmal. To terminate his life, allowing him to die a warrior's death the entire thing was comparable to one of those plays everyone adored with such blushed cheeks, perhaps it would become the new Romeo and Juliet. With the exception of love.

More natural appearing as his muscles rested, the smile settling in as unnecessary thoughts were filed aside for later, the one whom had approached him with such kind manners seemed nice enough. Asking such a simple question regarding his chosen career in this life it would be hard to deny such a thing. Lightly brushing against the back of his own neck Lesters soft chuckle escaped him. Thankful almost despite being shocked at where he stood a chuckle escaped as if it were an unexpected frost. "yes, yes I am." A moment's hesitation before the words continues with only a brief split in the seams. "It's a pleasure to meet you, I'm Lester!" Skin wrinkled as the man's raspberry hued eyes slid closed for a second, the request for assistance coming slightly unexpectedly. Help this other mage, well for sure it would be beneficial for the both of them, as the request never stated that you couldn't march in with a horde of mages. Not even a moment's thoughts yet he knew the answer. "That would be wonderful! I myself could not complete this request alone. It's always more interesting when you have company." The statement being one of truth, inferior to most he had come across and powered up less than a rabbit with magic the chance to work with another seemed too sweet. Oh yes the beauty, both of the place, surroundings, and current trespassers. His now partner appearing to be more feminine than himself, whilst also being more masculine. The feeling was rather odd and would have been unnerving in other circumstances.

Another glance up, the light catching his eyes as Lester's gaze moved other the energetic or, they had produced that flier which he still held and seemed a little optimistic almost, approaching a stranger to ask if they could tackle a mission together without any prior knowledge of his background. Not that it was wrong it merely seemed a little odd, for all they knew he could have been some part of an elaborate dark hidden society with evil roots that lured pretty people away into dark corners. No not that he was, his own thoughts scared him momentarily. Their clothing appearing to be traditional more eastern type, he had little experience in that sort of dress favouring his own style and happily not venturing out too far in the world of fashion. Yet the allure of such attire worn in this seductive way caused him to reconsider his lack of connection with the fashion minded craftsmen. Perhaps upon his return it would be time for something a little more, flexible. The colouring similar to his own choices, were both parties due for a colour change. The light shades would not take kindly to dust, yet white would match so perfectly with his hair, the smooth shade of wonder cleansing him with every moment. It truly was such a nice colour, white. Stood slightly back, almost dejected as if it were a disapproving parent who had agreed to something while still feeling uneasy. So there would be three in their party, more amusing for him as in between the perfect moments of navigation the florist would have time to pick their brains.

Moss had more chance of overtaking the entire forest, more chance than he had with deducing which path would take them through the labyrinth, despite his own lack in general direction which he would lose upon descending below the earth he was not completely daft. The entrance had been hinted at through the markings and decorations upon the ruins surrounding them which lay cast aside. A roll of his shoulders releasing a flush of warmth down his back, it would do no use to linger above ground. A slight turn his hair sneaked away from where it softly rested across his nose, the entrance close enough his arm vaguely motioning towards where some form of trap door or opening would be. Energy sprouted within him, early buds appearing pre-spring they held nutrients and life needed as he pranced across discarded slabs of rock, nearing one which seemed derelict. Hardly forming an archway the steps themselves were cracked as if not even the demons of hell wished for them to enter. Without a word his hand traced the wall, flakes of aged substances swiftly falling to the ground as he started his descent. Surely it would be okay! After all the time that had passed if footholds remained then they wouldn't crumple under the weight of one confused seedling and two hardly researched specimen.

Yuiisai smiled with a charming smile as the other took the flyer from them reading the task that it was requested written upon it, they now took it upon themselves to look at the other carefully now that they where so close. The first thing that had struck her was the colour of the others hair a small smile on her face as the others hair reminded her of the winter snow and how she had once been permitted to play in it once her chores and lessons had been done. Those days however had long since passed her eyes closed as she let out a silent sigh, she missed those days greatly but there was nothing for it everything changed with time after all. Her eyes opened eventually as she heard the others chuckle a sweet smile on her lips returning as she took in the others clothing choice, it was strange to her since she was use to eastern clothing but as strange as it was to her she took note on how the colour combination and style suited the other well. "A very unique style you have, it suits you well." she said with a warm tone.

Hearing him chuckle and confirming that he was indeed a mage made her tap her hands together with a giggle herself, she was happy to have found another person isolated place but the fact that they to were a mage made it even better. She bowed forward in an elegant motion Aguya following suit. "My name is Yuiisai and this is my attendant Aguya; we're mages of the west fiore trading company." she said standing Aguya raising slightly afterwards "It's a pleasure to meet you Lester." her smile ever present as she spoke to him, her accent heavy with where she had been born and raised. She noticed the wrinkling of the others nose when she had asked for his help, her milky jade-blue eyes going back to her taller male attendant as she hadn't expected such a reaction "Did I do something wrong Aguya? I didn't mean to offend him with my request." she asked her tone showing worry and concern about the situation as she spoke, he sighed shaking his head "First off my lady, he could be far different than what he seems on the outside and wish to do harm to you when you least expect it but no my lady you did not, that being said, you did just spring a request on a complete stranger. It is only natural they would be a little anxious as for all they know you could be a serial killer in the guise of a beautiful smile." he explained "Oh.. I never thought of that kind of thing but his eyes don't show that of a dark soul, but a gentle one." she turned her eye back to Lester wanting to make the fact know she wasn't a bad person "I'm not a serial killer, honest, I really don't like my clothes getting dirty." she said trying to make the other feel at ease only making Aguya face palm a little. "Forgive my ladies enthusiasm, she truly is a kind soul, though somewhat lonely since we left our native home." he added hoping that it would help the others understanding.

Yuiisai nodded to what Lester had said "Aguya is wonderful company but since leaving Terra Ignis I have only really had his and Sol's company so I could always new friend and jobs seem like a good way to make those." she said gleefully as he agreed to help her in the task she had brought with her. "I couldn't do it myself either and even with Aguya it would still be a bit of a struggle were we still may not complete the job together." she said thoughtfully as her eyes went to the ruins once again as she looked at the structure once more her hands going to the moss covered architecture "Even now it is still so beautiful, it must have looked magnificent when it was complete in the days of old." she said sadly wishing she had the magical know how to create an illusion so they both could see. Aguya moved forward placing his own hand over Yuiisai's "I can only do this for a moment my lady any more and it will tire me." he warned his hand glowing green as he wanted to forfil her desire to see the structure as it once stood but before he could she brought their hands away "No Aguya, we can't risk it. I don't want to hurt or tired because of some stupid want of mine. I can look in a history book and maybe find an image." she said showing concern for the elder male tears welling in her eyes, it would be clear though he was her attendant there was a stronger bond between the two. "My lady don't worry, I will not as you've asked me not to." he said leaning in kissing her on the forehead more like an elder brother trying to place his younger sibling at ease which it seemingly it did.

"Aguya, you can help navigate us back right?" she finally asked as she took her first steps into the structured ruins, her eyes looking around in wonder "Yes, so long there's nature around I can find the path do not worry yourself with such things." he said in the hopes to comfort the one he cared for as a sibling, she nodded continuing to walk down and into what could only be described as a labyrinth. Smelling the stale air she brought up her sleeve covering her mouth and nose, it was just one of those things she couldn't stand given that she and her clothing where scented with incense that she herself had made. "Aguya..." her voice seemed scared as the light started to fade the deeper below they became, as if on cue his hand went to his sword and he moved in front of her "Please stay close." he said calmly as he walked on Yuiisai nodding but she remained still to see if Lester was still with them, though beautiful something about this place felt off to them and she couldn't put her finger to it which made things all that much worse.

Lester Drynedi C Rank Black Rose

Would the threads which twined across his form really be perceived as unique? A moment's breath spent upon thoughts of attire, the clothes which he wore seamed of little value. Except the length of fabric which scarfed around his neck cascading down as a veil of green his wardrobe consisted of functional dress. Each tailored or machine wrought casing of material had been acquired for its tenacity or simplicity, how he considered it all quite comfortable and multi use. Yet as Lester's eyes sketched an outline of the oddity which the other wore he could start to appreciate how it all welded itself together quite nicely, from what he could see it lacked in complicated and bulky things, a lack of buckles graced it, simple yet beautiful. Something to bring up with the next fashion minded mind he came across. Yes yes in the future perhaps a change of appearance would be wise. Often as one progressed and evolved through life they showed how they had changed, as if leaving relics or fossils behind appearance seemed to be a common technique used to display themselves. Sophistication perhaps, control over one's life in an elegant way, something which seemed to rip free of the traditions and typical style of clothing. Amusing whilst at the same time holding a petal of intrigue slight ideas of costuming for seasons yet to arrive seemed to sprout through his mind.

Smooth, the motions indicating different things depending on the origin of the bestower, a simplistic bow used in the context and accompanied with the words indicating that it was meant as a greeting of sorts. One perhaps two moments in the past he could pinpoint meeting with a person who displayed their heritage with such pride. As if it had been something of interest the vague mental sketches and notes had been swept up into a pile and neatly stacked away i the corner of his mind to come back to later, perhaps in the evening over a hot mug of cocoa and some quiche would alleviate the curiosity residing within. Tilted slightly to the side, angled in a soft motion which caused some hair to momentarily obscure his vision in a flurry of white. Yuiisai and the attendant Aguya, not the best with names of people, tending to assign them a nickname mentally perhaps this time the youth would have more luck with locking the name into his mind. That trading company, it was one whose name had come up a few times before. Satisfaction in the form of a nod, as he returned the favour of greetings and exchanging pleasantries. Expressing how he was most glad to have come across the other two. "Pleasure to meet you too!" The statement was not a lie, the prospect of entering alone seemed daunting, he would prefer to be an ant trapezing across the lip of a carnivorous plant. For what if the structure collapsed upon him. Dying alone in such a wonderful world was indeed a pitiful way to go, just as the plants in the earth around them were connected with roots and pheromones he wished to never be cut off from society.

The two seemed to hold some form of connection, as if the assistant and master had gone through an experience together which had drawn them closer than most serving type relations normally would be. The circumstances of a plants juvenile growth greatly impacted upon its adult form, humans could be spoken of in a similar fashion. Half a step back as he merely glanced between the two blooming people before him during their exchange. One which was mildly interesting, no no this was more than mild, it seemed to be more of a pleasantly interesting exchange as he took the moment to hook his fingers under the loops of fabric, loosening the strangling scarf which seemed to tug at his neck during windy moments, as if the cotton accessory wished to soar away and elope with the winds. Lurched out of the train of thought, it seemed to be that the main actor had finished her preparations, not a serial killer and wished to keep clothing clean. reasonable statements, although whom would honestly admit to being a serial killer he lacked in knowledge. A slight chuckle, he waved the odd statement off in hopes of calming the attendant whom seemed far too used to the current situation. Terra Ignis, Sol's. Head scratching no concoction of petals and herbs could have brought forth a memory of what those two things meant. A polite nod would do, as Yuiisai lead the conversation into the enjoyments of doing a job with others. "I'm, afraid that I'm still not completely familiar with the geography of this world. Having partners for jobs is good though, after all sometimes what seemed to be simplistic missions can end up being surprisingly complex!" A slight memory of that plague incident blossomed in his memory, from a small seed of a problem that oddity had leached off the land spreading as if it were ivy. Yes, from then on he had preferred to find a cluster of mages and grow with them, rather than competing for resources plants often survived longer if they shared a mutual beneficial relationship after all. It seemed to be, from his mild perspective that many problems in society could be solved quite simply if they learnt off what plants did.

Illusionary type magic, abilities to enhance one's view of the world to such a point where they would identify items and visual information which weren't there. Latching on he focused in his hearing, the relationship between his two job partners seemed to be a rather odd one, unable to properly pinpoint where their interaction switched between a serving and more personal relation merged Lester mind seemed to plunge its roots deep into figuring out how the duo acted around each other.  At one moment Aguya appeared to be acting as if he were a knight, drawing his sword to protect the lady, which seemed similar enough to the term used, attendant. Yet their bond, the attraction (although not that of love) between the duo could also be interpreted as a sibling partnership.

Perhaps made in a moment of unsure worry, out of caution for the new partners he had gained Lester glanced at them. Straying no more than half a dozen feet away occasional halts were made, changes in his walking pattern after finding an interesting lump of moss. Unlike Yuiisai his method of wearing clothing was far more relaxed, as plant oddities were slid into his pocket, dust and dirt trailing down with each retrieval of possible research matter. For just a moment it was merely dust sprinkling down as if someone had hit the rug with a carpet beater, yet brick like stones tumbled forth posing a risk to any toes which may be suddenly flattened. Unexpected, as if it were a corpse plant blooming the group was assaulted, cluster like swarms of tentacles protruded from the walls around them, threatening to damage not only their clothing but their life. Bouquet appearing in hand the vague cluster of flowers was thrown at the first enemy, yet the magic appearing to have no effect simply did nothing. Drew together his brows pinched skin, forming slight hills of thought across his face. ”This, it may have some form of resistance towards magic.” The prospect was slightly annoying, yet ashe drew the knife from its resting place of rest at his belt, the weapon aptly named ‘Caution’ prepared him little for the barrage of flailing tentacles. Thankful, slightly as Forest' Gratitude protracted the young mage as he slashed a curving mark into a tentacle nearest to him and a tentacle lashed out, for a creature such as this to survive he found it almost amusing until a thick sludge splattered to the round from where the multitude of limbs seemed to produce the fowl liquid.

A moments breath, the petals of time seemed to shrivel up as his moments of relaxing vanished. ”Two enemies, each with multiple tentacles. Seems to be resistant or immune to magic.” Whilst being close to Yuiisai and Aguya he offered her a small bracelet of flowers which had seemed to almost grow, sprouting and blossoming from the center of his hands. One of his weaker spells, merely named floral union he was rather partial to the action of giving an ally the bracelet which would boost their damage by 25 percent, especially due to the extended length of time until such adorable flowers withered away. The offering of a friendship bracelet of daisies tugging on heartstrings reminding him of childhood days.

Yuiisai had no real way of knowing what was going through the others mind but when people outside the culture seemed to visit the house they often commented on how the style was unique, she had never thought so but then she had been raised within the culture and was only now seeing the diverse styles of clothing others wore. She guessed as he was so use to his own sense of style that it just seemed run of the mill but to her it was beautiful the way the layers hung, the colours and shades making it that much more appealing to her eyes. Moving forward she touched his scarf out of curiosity, she had never seen anyone wear such things and so was curious in a major way "Why do you wear your sash around your neck?" she asked her tone showing she was perplexed on the matter, Aguya coming forward to take her hand away "My lady it's rude to touch another you don't know, the same etiquette must be followed here as home." he scolded lightly not answering the question as it had been asked of their recent obtained companion.

Aguya had noted that Lester had been looking over their clothing and smiled "My lady is wearing what is known as a hanbok and I am wearing a hanfu." he said knowing the other may be curious on their own types of clothing "We are a midi people" he said calmly knowing that many cultures clashed in the pleasure district they once called home thus the reasoning of so many different eastern clothing styles in one place, it had never caused issue but many seemingly got confused due to it. "Lester, perhaps the next festival at home you could come and see first hand all the beautiful and bright colours; even wear clothing like we do!" she seemed excited to teach another about her culture but could already hear the scolding she would get later for doing such a thing to a stranger, she didn't care however she was just glad not to feel so lonely anymore and would risk being in danger to have a new friend; then again looking in the eyes of the other she could tell he had a gentle soul so wasn't that worried and if she was wrong she had Aguya to protect her.

"Lester, is it first time dealing with people from our culture?" she couldn't help but ask she was curious of cultures not like her own and would love to learn more about them so she may better herself in her tasks. "I haven't met many outside my own culture and most that I have, haven't been very nice people." she held the hems of her sleeves as she spoke the last part, she and Aguya added their current 'employer' under that same umbrella as he had made her some horrible things that she wasn't overly happy about but there was nothing she could do; he held her contract after all and to disobey or decline in any way she knew from past experience at home was dealt with swiftly and harshly. This was something she would rather avoid if she could as she was seemingly kept in a room that someone would keep a slave or prisoner for two weeks. "This place seems so scary, where you thinking about entering on your own? Did you have a way to find your way out if you had found yourself lost in the labyrinth below?" she worried for the others safety if he had done such a thing, she knew she had Aguya who was close to nature so, so longs there was nature they could find their way back.

"Aguya what if there's no nature?" she eventually asked now worrying about if they got lost her eyes looking to the tall male whom just seemed to smile "I have parchment and ink I will draw a map as we go." he explained to Yuiisai not wanting them to worry who nodded happy with the explanation that was given to them. "Is it safe Aguya?" she asked wondering if the place would fall on them, where the place even in ruins was still marvellous she would rather if she had to die it be around flowers. "In honesty my lady I can not answer that question until we enter, forgive me." he said gently bowing a little while he apologised. The two were to much into their own conversation to notice that they were being observed by the third, Yuii bowed in return to Aguya "There's nothing to forgive, it was a silly question on my part." she giggled with a quite nervous tone before long they looked back at Lester bowing for a moment "Forgive us we aren't ignoring just I'm new to how things are.." she said not really wanting to get into things, she had no idea how people would take to her being sheltered in such a manner as she was and so tried to avoid it in question as much as possible. She noticed how he fidgeting with the fabric around his neck and tilted her head "Are you not afraid your sash is going to strangle you?" it was then it was to thick and short to be worn how she wore her own around her back and around her arms but then it was long enough to be a sash that was worn around the waist of a person.

Hearing he was also new to the ways of the world made her smile brightly, she seen it as potential to have a new friend, that they could help each other with learning and go adventures to explore together. Such a many situation went though her head that she giggled happily making Aguya raise an eyebrow unsure how to take how she was acting. "My lady, are you feeling alright?" he asked a little concern in his tone, Yuii nodded smiling "Yes, I was thinking on how this was the path the Kami placed us on so I could meet someone like me." her tone filled with innocent joy and glee "My lady friendship is a two way street, please don't get your hopes up." he warned softly more like a worried brother than anything else as he didn't want her hurt in any way. "We're friends... right Lester?" her tone had softened her eyes almost begging for him to agree with what she had said, it was clear she felt alone and needed someone around her own age to relate to; she would accept whatever answer was given and she knew everyone was entitled to their opinion and she had no right to change it even if she wished to so had to believe that the answer would be positive. She knew however that it also had a huge let down if it wasn't though she would be upset she'd understand.

"Aren't those the most fun though?" she asked with an innocently cute voice which made Aguya sigh "Sometimes my lady however they can also be very difficult and with this being a job higher than the three of us we must be careful even if this is a basic one, complications could be costly so we all must be on alert." he said calmly Yuiisai nodding to his words knowing that she had to focus mind, she had a bad feeling she was going to have to use her magic on this job and didn't like the thought of that at all but there was nothing she could do about it or she would become a burden to Lester and Aguya. Aguya could see her how she was thinking by the slight movement she had made though it would have went unnoticed by someone who hadn't known her that well. "My lady, please don't worry unless it's needed you won't have to." he said with a comforting tone moving closer he kissed her forehead gently making her smile weakly "I am here to protect you so fear not on that." he said warmly as an older brother would seem to speak to a younger sibling.

Again the two hadn't realised that they were indeed being watched at first, this time it was Aguya whom had noticed Lester watching them. "I do apologise, we come from a place where magic wasn't permitted to people like us." he explained to the other "My lady still hasn't come to terms with her magic so I plead that you please be patient with her my lord." he continued hoping Lester wouldn't push further as he really didn't want to go into Yuiisai's magic knowing just how uncomfortable it made the one he served. It was after this interaction they had seemingly walked through the first arch way and down into the depths of the labyrinth almost as if it had swallowed them whole, it was then he realised passing the first inner arch where they could still turn back they where still past the point of no return as his lady would want to see this task through to the end no matter what. Aguya brought out parchment, brush and a small vial of ink taking notes along the way of the path they where taking all the while keeping an eye on the area willing to drop everything to protect the ones he travelled with.

Yuiisai jamp back seeing a brick about to fall on her unprotected foot and looked in sheer amazement as something seem to come forth from the hole that was once there "Aguya, what is that?" she asked not exactly in fear but concern "I would believe it is an angry plant." he said in an honest tone as without research that is all he could say for certain. His eyes went to Lester as he seen how they seemingly sprouted tendrils "I'd suggest we not get touched by them as we don't know if they're poisonous, acidic or have another nasty surprise." he said calmly keeping ahead of Yuiisai as he moved to put his items down he watched and listened to the other "It would stand to reason, plants evolve and become highly resistant depending on where they grow." he said his tone remaining stoic, though he knew this would become an issue at some point it seemed that the other had managed to handle it with little issue. "Seems you can handle yourself my lord." his tone showed he was impressed "We should act accordingly as we don't know if this place has more surprises." he said picking up his items once more blinking as flower bracelets where offered to himself and his lady, both whom took the gift; Yuiisai who seemed to almost squeal in delight at the wonderful colours of the flowers. Soon however they would start moving carefully stepping over the defeated plant cautious in case they came back to life, after around ten minutes of walking the three came to a path that branched off into three. "Aguya which way?" she asked watching as he moved to a wall his head going to the wall as he began to whisper something almost as if he was having a conversation, Yuiisai watched quietly allowing Aguya to get the information the three needed; after a few moments he whispered his thanks and walked down the left path. "They warn that this will be dangerous." he said gently to the others knowing Yuiiisai would keep close.

Lester Drynedi C Rank Black Rose

Softness, a scent which empowered him almost, the scene to history, memories family. Soft material stroking his chin as if it were his grandmothers finger, calming him after a sudden nightmare. A sash was an odd name for it, he understood the term well enough, yet to him a sash was quite different. Hearing the word sash made him think of performers, leaping around in the streets with brightly hued clothing, a storm of floral gardens with petals ripped from their stems whirling around in a tornado of colours. They worse sashes, with their shining accessories he remembered the performers spinning with their sashes, yes they would dance, flowing as if they were birds or something, of it had been a beautiful event indeed. Those were sashes, dancing sashes used to accentuate the movement of a body, or wrapped around one's waist to hold in the loose clothing, wrapping around and around the stomach as if it were some sort of predatory snake. He hadn't quite thought of a scarf as a sash before, yet, perhaps it made sense. Perhaps it was something uncommon. Deadly still as she felt the material his body froze slightly, she would be careful, he knew it inside, yet strangers was still a term he used when thinking of their relationship. That one was Algaeno, not the plant, Aguya, yes that. An odd lad indeed, yet as he mentioned the courtesies regarding personal space Lester's face smiled softly in thanks, understandable of course since Yuiisai was from a different place. Understand, yes he could understand accept and move on. "Its my scarf, my Grandmother knitted it for me. Hm, sometimes when children leave home their family give them good luck charms and things, when I left home and started to travel my Grandmother gave me the scarf to keep me safe!" She had put thought and time into it, soft scents of sweet memories wafted up to him as an blush settled across his cheeks. It was a nice little accessory.

The people of Midi, he knew little of their culture, as it wasn’t a place he had deeply looked into at school, either that or he just didn't know that he knew. Life was odd like that, sometimes crazy little links in his memory and mine would be made which would be unexpected as a flower in midwinter. Hanbok and Hanfu, perhaps Han meant wrap of some kind, would the Bok and Fu then be genders? Or the different styles. Time was lacking, he could hardly dig deeply into the subject of fashion here and now.

His name? Swaying up the youths brain perked at hearing the calling that had been murdered so often beforehand. The next festival at their home. A festival, although slight at first the small pinching of his cheeked broadened into a grin as if the flowers within bloomed. Yuiisai seemed to be rather enthusiastic about the idea, it really sounded fantastic! Brighter than the fields of spring and summer, the streets, would it be a festival where everyone flooded the streets dancing or perhaps was it different? There was no way he could compare it to an event from home. ”I would like that very much, thank you, it sounds wonderful.” Calm down, they weren’t at a tea store nibbling on cakes, nor was this the time to go planning a vacation. Was it his first time, perhaps, he had seen the odd clothing somewhere before, perhaps as a child there must have been someone in the crowds, brows drew together, small caterpillars inching closer for a hug. No, even after thinking for more than a few moments he could not think of anyone from Midi, not a single other acquaintance with similar appearance or accents. ”I don’t believe that I have.” This place seemed scary? Oh, she was referring to the dungeon. She appeared a little worried, perhaps it was just from being nervous or shy yet there was nothing for her to be worried about surely, The labyrinth did seem scary for sure, indeed there were many things that could go wrong. Yet had they not taken up this job knowing the full details? Was he not scared, it would be foolish not to be scared over the possibility of being lost forever in a twisting root series of man made caves none had ever escaped from.

His mind had wandered, not to anything in particular, more so to how he hoped there would be some nice juicy vegetables like carrots or broccoli for dinner when he arrived back, even if it were no later or earlier than five in the morning a hearty meal would be necessary to getting anyone back on track. He could hardly expect these two to only converse with him, especially when the duo knew each other so well. A slight sizzle, as if someone had suddenly given him slight rope burn the feeling of a gaze happening upon him. An apology, oh they thought that they were ignoring him. ”Oh no its no problem really, you can’t be instantly expected to know everything!” His hand waved, perhaps he thought that it would push the thoughts of embarrassment from her mind. ”really though, don’t worry too much, Aguya here seems to be very helpful as well, I'm sure that you’ll be fine in life! No doubt you’ll soon learn about the odd quirks of this place.” The entire country was a little odd for sure, but that was just part of living here, perhaps he was quite lucky to have grown up amongst the madness. Soft, a chuckle from him escaped Lester, he had calmed down, relaxed a little more around the duo. ”No no, perhaps someone might try and use it against me in battle but I wouldn’t worry about it strangling me. A necklace or chain would be more likely to do that.” Odd, for sure he hadn’t thought about that chance much, yet the oddly dressed female brought up the interesting point.

Was she feeling well? So the actions or emotions wer odd, her skin pallor had not changed nor had any other symptoms of illness arisen from the depths of her skin. Kami? He hadn’t heard of them before, the name seemed almost feminine. Was she referring to him? Meeting someone like herself, yes she must have been. Was there something he was needed for? Surely the day couldn’t get any odder. A two way street. A slight look of comfort, pity almost, he glanced over to Aguya with his eyes expressing the apologies. The die seemed to cast a message that he had a lot to deal with. Exuberant indeed, she seemed to be bubbly and energetic. They were friends? It was more of a question, yet from the look in her eyes he understood what he could lose should he fail to appease her emotions. It was an odd thing indeed, friendship. ”Yea, Yea I guess so. I do think that we get along quite well.” He was friendly with her, and she with him, there was no friction between the two. He felt not anger or hatred towards her, no disdain towards the pair.

He would protect her? A soft pecking kiss, not especially romantic, nor did he feel like it was anything too odd. He scolded her a few times earlier too. It was a fmailar relationship, both between them and one that he felt he had with others, as if two flowers were slowly intertwining, growing towards the skies with blossoming buds by healing each other up the steep face of a cliff. Unable to be used? No, not unable, not permitted, that was quite odd indeed, they had magic, why would someone restrict it? Had they broken some kind of laws? Perhaps it was better not to push, words spoken by Aguya indicated his hope that lester would let the subject casually slide. ”Yes, of course, sure. Oh and really, there is no need to call me lord!” He would allow it, if they really wanted to, but lord felt so formal, he wanted to loosen up a little and relax.

A map was forming, every so often the smooth motions of the brush would come into his vision, enchanting in a way it was comparable to the smooth music from a flute. It would be dangerous. But he knew that. It would be fine. A slight chuckle escaped him, not one of joy or happiness, more of a slightly nervous spirit. The labyrinth luckily would stop too many enemies from swamping them, due to its winding corridors perhaps it wouldn’t be too hard to safely hole up somewhere, if a horde of them overcame the trio there would be nothing wrong with rushing away until they could properly take out any enemies before them. Oh gosh indeed he was not used to this, the rows of flower boxes at home called to him! ”Well! Um, keep an eye out I’m sure there will be some other creature here to keep us from out destination.”  he could not foresee a smooth journey ahead. Harsh, the thoughts came to him as dry as the moss found on a desert road, had he come alone there would have been few possibilities of endings which were positive. He could fight for sure, not too well yet the horde could swarm him until his shields have in, a few of them would end up being dragged down by the slicing blade of the youth.

Scampering, similar to that of a pattering of rain, as if children were rushing towards a newly opened bakery that sold off cheap failed sweets. His past thoughts had been along the right track, a horde, he could almost feel it, probably the enemies would lack knowledge of the location of the three. A few steps closer he took towards the other two, lowered voice as he spoke, wary of the hunters he could hear approaching through the winding labyrinth system. Hushed, yet not harsh, nor soft either he simple spoke with a wary bland tone ”we may come into contact with a large group of people, if they are also heading for the prize it's highly possible that they may fight. I’ll immobilize them for a short time, we should take out as many as possible though.” he did not wish to kill them, especially since they would be other humans. His own magic was hardly that good, most of it required getting beaten up first, honestly couldn’t the gods have just delivered him a pair of masochists or something, it would have been so much easier!

Confidence lacking when it came to precision and strength with a bow he found himself carefully hiding around the side of a corridor, with hopes that they would mindlessly run into the area of corridor where he remained hidden, motioning for the other two to do similar he simply turned his attention towards the sounds of oncoming foes. Could they truly defeated all of the enemies in the labyrinth. Worry, his brows drew together in an anxious nature as the blade settled in his hand, grip tightening around it. Knuckles whitening with a sharp appearance. Footsteps were loud, these guys could hardly be called a team of any sorts, they split up a little, five of the hunters meandering into a side room as the main group trundled their way up to the front gate of their wee setup. He hardly knew anything of Aguya's magic, which, of course there was nothing wrong with that, yet it felt a little odd. Glitter like the air around the corners shivered slightly, No, they had been teaching.

Mammal for sure, a mole, perhaps one of those odd beavers or something which seemed similar yet managed to appear like this odd fluffy creature with such a horrid nose. He had frozen all of them, whilst some appeared to be here immobilized only slightly others were much weaker. Blade drawn as he approached the oddity Lesters mind went towards what it could do despite being out of water for so long. Turning even further round soft white hair swung slightly when noting down those which he would be able to predict. Predictive text? On.

There was, perhaps 14 of these guys, at varying degrees of immobilized, mutterings as if they had just been put under anaesthesia escaped some persons mouth whilst their neighbour just slept. The entire day just sleeping. A vine shot from his hand, it split into two, twirling around as if there was some kind of ballroom dance on, it secured the mole-badger with ease, dragging the creature to Lester at a rather nice pace as he readied the knife. It would be bloody and messy, horrible d awkward in a way that was similar to a valentines card being handed over. The knife was there, he was fine. Oddity, it was the only thought he had regarding the spell which dragged the stiffened mole-badger towards him and a fast speed. The flowers blooming across it seemed to drain the tracking creature of its health, he couldn’t feel bad for it though, as without the little thing those Hunters probably wouldn’t have known exactly where the trio was. He didn’t really need to use the knife, as the mole badger, Modger or was it badol, was similar to a flower left in the sun. It had been drained, wrinkled dry of any health as Lester found that it all simply transferred to him. Perhaps it had been the immobilisation of the monochrome creature which had made it so easy. Yet he felt as if the strength of gods were at his fingertips. Until, that was, until he set sights on the hunts whom were slowly regaining their movements. Honestly, perhaps it really was a good thing he hadn’t come alone. Moving the limp form of the mole-badger to the side his grip readjusted from worry and thought, the blade was perfect, weighted softly and something he could rely on. Yet, well, would it really be smart to storm the mob of madness? Smarts, intelligence was not something taught easily, many places just tested memory and a vague amount of problem solving. Yet he figured that it would be fine, all he had to do was get slightly injured then he could start buffing himself and everything. Knife in hand he approached the first one, and started to jerkily stab the other person in the upper leg and knee.

Simplistic, he should have expected it, a mace of sorts swung around, moving in a smooth motion to bash the youths side and push him away from the hunter he had managed to stab at least three times. A plant like matter had protected the lad, it would for a while longer, until it took more damage and broke. It formed a vague pattern, one he quite liked and felt should be wallpapered in a bathroom. Aloe Vera leaves, curling together to form a semi-translucent shield of perfection. So, there was a few enemies who could more, more than a few. Yup, quite a few, okay. It was an odd fighting style for him, he had yet to perfect how he moved, yet with the sole mole-badger dead atleast that was one little thing out the way.

Yuiisai watched quietly as the other seemed to walk down memory lane, she herself got nostalgic and homesick smelling or seeing certain things so it wasn't exactly a giant leap of faith to believe that someone else would do the same kind of thing. It did have her wondering however if the other was homesick and lonely like she was and how often he thought of the place of his birth, even how often he thought about returning even if it was for a short time. She did so often where she remembered little of the village she belonged to in Midi, she did remember her life within the pleasure district she was raised in within Terra Ignis and how she missed her home and those she was raised with. “You are thinking of home Lester?” she eventually asked the other a small smile on her face as she knew the look all to well as she often possessed it herself according to how Aguya had spoken in the past when she thought of home. “Do many wear sashes around their necks where you come from?” she had so many questions for the other given how she was so very sheltered. She looked to him as he froze almost like her touch was going to rot the fabric around his neck causing her hand to come to her chest her other hand holding it. “I... I wouldn't harm something so obviously cherished and loved.” she said quietly, her voice was so meek that it seem like she could burst out in tears at any second.

Aguya had remained quiet the entire time allowing the other two to converse, he realised that the white haired male would be a little dubious and uncomfortable at the touch of a stranger. Yuiisai was the same but she also had a childish wonder due to being locked away to the outside world within the world they were raised in, his actions however was less to do with Lester's comfort and more to do with keeping social etiquette in place. “Scarf?” she repeated sounding somewhat confused at the concept as she looked to Aguya for the answer. “It's fabric worn around the neck to keep a person warm.” he explained but she seemed to be even more confused as she didn't understand how a piece of fabric placed around the neck could keep someone warm. “I don't remember my family, she must have loved you very much to craft you such a wonderful gift.” she said happy that he had a physical representation of a family members love and a memory of his home that must often act as a reminder to go home when he wanted to. “Lucky charms?” she seemed a little confused but looked to the jade charm dangling from her obi that Aguya bought for her so she would remember where she came from. She thought about perhaps buying a gift for the other so they could remember their friendship or if it didn't go so well at least the day they met.

Aguya looked to him tilting his head a slight chuckle coming from behind the taller males lips “My lady was born in Midi and raised within a pleasure district in Terra Ignis.” he had no idea what the other was thinking but he guessed he would explain a few things as he hadn't known many that went to Midi from Fiore, he nor Yuiisai showed any shame about where they were raised. “Terra Ignis holds many different styles of clothing. What we are wearing are two different styles, each style has a male and female type to it.” he explained with a calm tone hoping the other would understand it was fine to ask them questions on their culture and what they wore. It was how friendships and bonds where created after all. "Perhaps you could educate us a little about the norms of your home village or town." he said not really knowing if it was a village, town or city and liked learning about other places all over Fiore.

Yuiisai giggled seeing how the other reacted to her inviting him to the next festival held where she and Aguya where raised. She couldn't help think how cute he looked with the dimpled cheeks and wide bright smile and wondered if she was the same way if such things where offered to her. “You have a wonderfully bright smile Lester, it changes the energies you give off, its such a lovely sight to see.” her voice was sincere as she spoke to the other. “It'll be the late spring festival, the blossoms will be in full bloom and the place will be filled in vibrant colours, lively music will fill the air...” she started to explain sounding so excited as she explained what normally was seen and heard but only by seeing the colours on the trees making them seem like fireworks on them and the music could a person truly understand why she seemed so happy. “The courtesan and oiran dance, there's even offerings at the temple.” her eyes went to Aguya as she grinned “Aguya does our offering at the temple, he does horse back archery... one of the best of the district...” she said making Aguya sigh a little.

“You are to kind my lady, I have had a lot of practice and had very good tutors.” he said with a humbled tone, he was just glad to see her excited again; recently the one he served was far to solemn and depressed it hurt him so badly to see her light fading. He wanted to tell her that this wasn't the place or time but he didn't have the heart so let her get everything out, who knew she could have possibly made her first real friend since leaving home. He knew there was Ahote but such a child inside a dark guild, he wanted her to have nothing to do with that world and though they had been close he didn't count that as a friendship; merely a passing of ships in the night. “I do hope you are not claustrophobic my lord, during these festivals the streets are filled to the extent that it is hard to move.” he finally said making Yuiisai stop scratching her cheek “I forgot about that... Do you still want to come Lester?” she asked with a warm tone, she would be upset of course if he said no but at the same time she would have understood why, not everyone was made for such atmospheres or surroundings.

Her eyes then went bright as she thought of something else “Perhaps we could go a day early and get you some clothing so you could experience that too!” she was so happy she was almost squeeing like a little girl, it was now Aguya moved to her and kissed her forehead “Calm my lady, you are becoming far to excitable.” he said with a warm smile and tone, this made her blink and nodded to what he said instantly “Sorry, I'm just really happy Aguya... I found someone to do things with.” it would be more than obvious now if it hadn't been before that she was always alone thus starved for contact with other people, this wasn't because of anyone's fault merely due to how things were done where they had been raised, Yuiisai finding it hard to adapt and how protected she was.

Hearing that the other hadn't met anyone like them made her blink but then she had never met anyone like him so she thought that he to may have had the same kind of upbringing so was happy to leave it at that. Aguya covered Yuiisai's ears for a moment and looked seriously at Lester “My lady dislikes her magic, she is afraid of what it can do. Where it is beautiful it is also deceivingly deadly.” he explained realising that he was likely confused as to why she had previously acted in such a way. Only after this conversation had come to a complete closure did he remove his hands from Yuiisai's ears. “Aguya, why did you do that?” she asked pouting, he bowed just a little “Forgive me my lady but some conversations shouldn't be heard by ladies.” he explained, he had agreed to always be honest with her and this wasn't a lie to her, but then it wasn't exactly an entire truth on this occasion.

Yuiisai found herself wondering just how long this job would take, she knew that Aguya would likely have had food and water for them on his person. He wasn't one to leave anything to chance when they went on adventures due to her whimsical curiosity but wondered about the other and if he had brought supplies with him. She guessed he must have had due to being out there already, but at the same time he likely hadn't expected to be asked to come on a job with a random stranger who had picked up a job that was to strong for them to handle alone. She decided if they became hungry she would share their supplies it was the least they could do after all, for now they remained quiet on the subject unsure on how exactly to ask such a question of the other.

Yuiisai looked back to Aguya who nodded slightly almost as if he read what the smaller of the two was thinking “My lord, do you have supplies with you?” he asked calmly of the third in the group “If not we have supplies that we will not hesitate to share at your request.” he said with a warm tone to the other a small smile placed on his lips as he bowed his head a little, as a sign of respect and thanks that he would bare with them given the unconventional circumstances of the situation and job that came with it. He knew that the one he served was thankful for him handling this matter due to the small pinkness in her cheeks, he wondered if this world was right for her. She was a gentle spirit who looked for the best in everything and everyone but he knew better than that, he feared it would take what she was and twist her taking from her light; for now however there was nothing that could be done and so would stay by her side until the correct path showed itself to him.

Hearing his words to their apology brought the young dragon out of his thoughts, now concentrating on the other “None the less, it was rude of us as there is a third person here.” he explained hoping the other would understand where he was coming from. “We understand that you are patient but it's no excuse for our bad manners.” Yuiisai said looking to the ground fidgeting a bit “Aguya has been my attendant since I was first sold to the house that raised me, he's more than a servant to me though.” she said looking to Aguya with a smile, Aguya could only smile back his hand going to the small silver and emerald earring he wore. It's was true it was meant to be a necklace but as he wore one he had requested it be refashioned to something else, he knew other attendants had been jealous of her generosity as they had often gotten small cheap trinkets. His was a custom piece designed by his lady and crafted by a master crafter, the proof of how she thought of him and what he done for her.

“Aguya has been doing his best to keep me from making reckless and unneeded mistakes, but even his knowledge to the outside is limited. I wasn't ever allowed to pass the arch and so neither was he.” she explained to the other, she knew that the earth gave its knowledge to her attendant so that had been a great help to them both, at the same time neither were ashamed of their histories though Aguya would be less likely to go into his and Yuiisai had been to young to remember anything before she had been brought to the pleasure district. “Everywhere has odd quirks, its these quirks that makes it so interesting to explore and interact with others. Don't you think?” he asked with a small chuckle of his own that made Yuiisai smile brighter than she had previously done. When the scarf came back to the centre of the conversation again Yuiisai looked at Aguya's neck knowing he wore a necklace that he refused to take off, even when he had been ordered to at home no matter the punishment that followed it had remained. When she became a fully fledged courtesan it wasn't so often and had all but stopped when she became an oiran. He was her servant as far as they where concerned and she allowed him it.

“Necklaces are hidden under fabric how are they more likely to strangle than something that can be easily pulled?” she asked with a puzzled tone, Aguya sighed at this “Both are very possible regardless of how accessible an item around the neck is, it is a danger be it a chain or fabric. A person must be careful or they will end up doing themselves harm.” he explained making her nod, it made sense she guessed “Also if a piece of fabric is loose enough it doesn't strangle it pulls away, with enough force a necklace or chain can be ripped from a persons neck...” he said his voice gentle has his hand touched his necklace “That being said if it is cherished nothing like that will ever happen and the kami help anyone who try and do such a thing.” he finished wondering if Lester himself understood as he to cherished the thing he wore around his own neck.

Aguya then realised that the other may not know their terminology for things and blushed a little in embarrassment “Kami are what we call the gods.” he explained, he wasn't meaning to be disrespectful, indicate that the other was dumb or even insinuate that he wouldn't have known but he had met very few that did know the term that was used in the place they called home. Yuiisai was feeling as well as she normally did, in her excitement she hadn't realised that maybe she had muddled her words, so was thinking back on the conversation then giggled a bit more “I meant perhaps the kami made this happen so he and I could meet each other and learn together.” she said hoping she got her words right this time or that they had been clearer than she had previously been. She had been so lonely since she had been taken from the place she called home, what made it worse there was no-one like her who was still learning what many took for granted.

She understood that friendship was a two way street and though she may wish to be friends with the person she had just met, this didn't necessarily mean that he wanted to be friends with her. She had that issue with an apprentice she grew up with in another house, she had become a courtesan while they where still in training though they had been in their lifestyle a few years longer. This was to be expected however as everything she learned was inside the confines of the district, while other apprentices left for their educations. It had made her sad as the two had once been so very close and then to end because one became promoted and the other hadn't, her eyes looked away as she thought back to that day. Aguya moved forward hugging her with a sigh “Shh, it's fine my lady. Not everyone will be like Aikiko.” he explained knowing exactly where her mind had went, all Yuiisai could do was nod knowing he was right on the subject a weak smile appearing on her lips once more.

Yuiisai looked to Lester biting their lip realising that they maybe forcing their wants on the other “It's okay to say no, you know.” she said with a bow as an apology to him, she didn't want it to be forced or fake as it would mean nothing to either in the long run. “I understand friendships take a while to form properly, I'm just lonely.” she continued to explain to him, her milky jade blue eyes meeting his own showing this to be nothing but the truth. “I was raised as a courtesan, it was forbidden for any courtesan to cross the archway for any reason. The district was there to be the dreams to those who visit, we where the dolls trained to fulfil those dreams no matter what they would be...” she said looking back as she felt Aguya's hand on her shoulder, this was him reassuring her she didn't owe explanation to anyone. Yuiisai however looked back to Lester taking a deep breath as she readied herself to continue “My entire world was that district, my friends and those I classed as family....” she said gently her bubbly voice fading to a saddened one.

“When I was obtained by the one whom now owns my contract, my world was stripped from me and now in a world that may as well be a different realm completely.” she said now breaking the eye contact looking to the ground, she knew she owed him no explanation on why she was how she was, but at the same time she felt like he should understand her more if their friendship would indeed blossom properly. “I'm glad you class me as a friend Lester, I fear I won't make many and fewer that will be approved by Aguya and the one that owns me.” she said quietly to the other, she didn't hate either of them as they were doing it for her protection given that she was still quite to innocent to the world she was now part of.

Yuiisai had no fear that if she was ever in any perceived danger that Aguya would protect her, even from the one that owned her. He had already as much on several occasions which caused friction between the two males to the point she thought it was going to come to blows at some points, if it had however it was never done in front of her and kept inside the training hall while she was resting. “Earlier I said Aguya was more than a servant to me, this is true... he's my protector and the closest thing I have to a family member.” she said looking back to Aguya with a small smile “You were so very young when you joined the house you needed family, I am honoured I was able to fulfil that role and can do so even now my lady.” he said bowing a little to her, Yuiisai quickly bowed back, though they were more like a brother and sister they had still been raised a certain way and it wouldn't ever change.

Aguya looked at Lester whom seemed confused about the magic thing he sighed as he tried to think on how to explain it. “The district that we where raised within prevented those whom worked in certain professions from using magic...” he explained he said looking to Yuiisai “Musicians, dancers, courtesan, apprentices, attendants and servants.” he finished. “It was seen as dangerous and removing from clients dreams so it was a law, dealt with most severely if broken. There was one festival a year however that oiran where allowed to use magic but even then it was scrutinised to make sure nothing got out of hand.” she said adding to the conversation, she never used magic at all since she could remember. She remembered she was told it was dangerous and could harm so was forbidden even during that festival from using hers. It was one of the reasons she resented it now and had a hard time controlling it.

Yuiisai had no idea that her personal magic had been brought up during the time and by the conversation that followed believed it was just a general topic on home, so didn't mind trying to help the other understand. “I'm sorry my lord this is how I was raised, though given freedoms I am still a servant and behave as such.” he said a smile on his face his voice warm and calm like the day they had found themselves in. “I do apologise if it offends you and will do my best not to speak unless required.” he suggested in the hoped that they could find some sort of middle ground that would appease everyone. It wasn't like he was going out of his way to do this purposely for Lester, nor would he for anyone else this was how he had spent many years and it wasn't something that was about to change even if Yuiisai themselves asked him to do it.

While within the labyrinth Aguya carefully created the map as they went, he added in vital information in case they got lost and it was found at a later date so it may help others. He looked up as he heard the nervous chuckle from the other male in the group and wondered why he was, he was more than able to protect both if required but then realised that Yuiisai was shaking slightly. He understood that they may be frightened or nervous but such things in a place like this could spell a person's death with a single wrong move or turn. “You are both fine, take a deep breath and be at ease.” he said softly almost as if a parent trying to reassure their children that everything would be fine. In honesty he had no idea if it would be but he at least wanted to stay positive as there where three of them, so believed that between them they could handle anything that came their way. He took note of the dimensions of the corridors they walked noting they could comfortably walk side by side which was both a good and a bad thing as yes it meant they couldn't be overwhelmed but it also meant that larger opponents that could be stronger could follow them and that wasn't so good.

Yuiisai wasn't use to the darkness or the musty old scents that where currently assaulting her nose but nothing could be done about it lest she bring up the strongly fragrant fabric that made her clothing. Doing that however meant she was easily an open target if they got attacked, so she bared with it but was far from happy about it that was for sure as her clothing was also getting dirty. Hearing Lester's words she nodded in agreement not believing that bad things came on their own, she did hope however that they weren't humanoid. It was true he had spilt blood twice since being brought into her owners care and both times by his orders, she had hated both times as that wasn't part of her. The mere thought of spilling another's blood made her cover her mouth as she felt like she was going to be sick. “My lady?” Aguya asked his tone concerned as he almost dropped everything he was holding to help her. “I.. I'm okay, just a bad memory.” she said not wanting the others to worry, that and she didn't want Lester to hate her for something she had been made to do after telling him that she wasn't a serial killer.

Aguya nodded not wanting to question the one he served in front of the other as he was sure it was something to do with the one that owned her, how he wanted to kill that man for destroying her peaceful life and giving her one like this. He knew however that this was far from happening while he owned her, he had already made it clear he would never willingly give up the contract. He was trained as an archer but had no bow and though gifted with a sword, knew that it would still be bad if things took a turn for the worst as he was sure Lester would likely be still finding his feet in that kind of thing; he also knew his lady wasn't meant for combat so that made this more difficult but still not impossible for the small group. “Keep your wits about you.” he instructed them both knowing for now that was all the advice he could give them.

Yuiisai tried to keep her calm as she had been instructed by Aguya but that was easier said than done as the slightest made her want to shriek fear. Sure she was use to some of the noises that they where currently hearing but at the same time there where more that she didn't know and this had her on edge, how she hated her enhanced hearing and sense of smell at the moment. The musty earthen and damp smell where drowning everything else, so it prevented her from smelling enemies coming towards them; she felt so dang useless right now but she would do her best when the time came. She did however hear the movements of people coming towards them but before she could warn the others it had seemed that she hadn't been the only one who had heard the bumbling idiots heading their way.

Yuiisai nodded to Lester's words neither had the heart to tell him they to had heard them thanks to their enhanced hearing. “There are several groups, they seem lost.” Aguya whispered quietly enough for only the other two “Due to close quarters keep area magic to a minimum or we will likely harm each other, not only that they will be like scared, trapped animals and that makes them more unpredictable and thus more dangerous.” he explained so they where all on the same page, he knew his lady would heed his council and could only hope that Lester would do the same. He was part nature dragon and so didn't mind the labyrinth to much, still it was stuffy and he missed the light so wanted this finished sooner rather than later that was for sure. Yuiisai and Aguya listened to what the florist said nodding “Some of my magic has immobilisation too.” Yuiisai chimed in showing she could help with that if it was needed.

“Let's not kill them if it can be helped, knocking people out can be just as effective as can manipulation.” Yuiisai said not really liking when she had taken life before and the others gentle eyes showed he was the same only killing as a last resort, she was sure even then he would try find another way around it even if that was impossible. She looked down knowing that she would have to use her magic but wasn't looking forward to it as she knew just how dangerous the stuff that plagued her existence could be. “We'll help the best we can my lord.” he said placing the ink and parchment away, hugging Yuiisai briefly to reassure her before drawing his sword and moving to be at the front as to protect the two youths.

Aguya blinked seeing how the other male seemed to draw a bow, it was a strange weapon to use for such close quarters and hoped that the other could draw and re-equip quickly or it would be more a hindrance than a help in the long run. It was true bows where more precise but if the enemy was wearing armour, then it would also be a useless tool without special arrows or magic being imbued within them. He however again remained quiet on his thoughts as it wasn't his place to speak out about how the other was doing things until it became an issue. Where he had seen the other indicating that they follow his lead he knew that his lady wouldn't bend, there was nothing she hated more than her clothing getting tarnished so kept her out of sight behind the wall. He heard the enemies coming towards them and started to count the amount of footsteps as if calculating just how many where coming there way. His eyes then looked down to the crouching and hidden Lester as he let out a sigh noting the white knuckles as he had tightened his grip around his weapons. Kneeling he lent in close to Lester “Calm young lord, we will prevail this day, we have the upper hand after all.” He whispered in the hopes to ease his anxiety as that could be their down fall.

Yuiisai watched in amazement as Lester seemed to immobilize the animals with ease a bright smile on her face, she had no idea what these animals were as she had never seen them before but felt like she would be seen as dumb if he asked so remained quiet about it; she did make a note to ask Aguya about them at a later time when they weren't with someone else. She watched however in horror as Lester took his blade to the defenceless animal, Aguya quickly covering her eyes with a sigh 'She's really not meant for this kind of life, damn that idiot man.' he cursed to himself, he himself had no issue that the animal would meet its end, it was a threat after all however he knew his lady would as it was just doing what was in its nature to do. They where invading it's home territory after all. “I know it's hard but a little warning when you intend to draw blood, it's something my lady is not yet accustomed to.” he said to the white haired male, he wasn't angry but his tone did show concern and worry as he held back information from the other.

Aguya took note and nodded in approval at the others use of magic, indeed it was a marvellous sight to behold. He couldn't do something like that but he did have more than a few trick up his sleeve that was for sure. “Impressive.” he said with a tone that mirrored how he was feeling, he would have clapped but felt that would be taking it a step to far and also seen as mocking the other which was not his intention. He did however release Yuiisai so that she too could do her part in dealing with their opponents. Yuiisai pouted a little she hated it when Aguya treated her like she was still seven years old, sure she wasn't use to the world but she wouldn't get use to it if he kept treating her in such a manner. “Wow Lester, you're really strong..” her voice showing amazement as she seen the fourteen enemies entangled in the vines, even noticing how some of them seemed to be dosing. Her hands going over her mouth as she watched his next spell and the bloodshed that followed wondering how something so beautiful could be so deadly. “You are the same my lady...” Aguya whispered knowing that it was something she needed to hear as most often the most beautiful things could be the most deadly.

She watched his knife for a few moments before she seen the next opponent being dragged towards him to be dealt with at a fast speed, right now she wished she never picked this task and wondered if they would all be like this from now on. She watched as a flower bloomed and how the animal seemed to slowly become limp, she wished she didn't understand what was going on but even an idiot could tell the flower was stealing the poor things life force. “My lady, I know this is difficult but had these things found us first and we fought them loudly, we would be over run by enemies....” he said to her seeing tears well up “They are sacrificing their lives for our safety.” he finished knowing it was a harsh truth for her but a truth none the less as he dashed forward unsheathing his sword slashing quickly at the others making sure to aim for their jugulars so it would be done without a noise escaping them and as humanly as possible. Weaving around Lester but also hitting the ones he had also in case they made noise, they couldn't afford it with human enemies so close.

As Aguya continued to deal with the others that where entangled he hadn't made note to keep an eye on Lester believing that the white haired male could tend to himself with his ladies help. Yuiisai had seen the goings on and what had happened to Lester, with tear filled eyes she raised her left hand above her head and moved her index finger as if she was pulling a trigger as she did a blue glowing seal appeared. It wasn't to long before the effects of this seal would be seen as several shards of what could only be called crystalised element shards appeared changing colour, starting as black, purple, yellow and finally white. Keeping her eyes focus on the enemy she flattened her hand and each of the six shards hit an enemy squarely in the forehead at a fast pace more than enough to make them fall. “Don't hurt people if you don't want to be hurt.” she said in an upset and angry tone as her eyes finally looked at Lester the shards returning back to her ready to be used again at a moments notice. “Sorry, I know we said no killing but he was badly hurting you a... a... and...” she started to stutter tears falling down her cheeks. “This lot has been taken care of, I suggest we use the map and get to the centre avoiding more confrontation.” Aguya said bringing out the parchment, he knew to many more battles so soon would be bad for his lady and knew Lester would likely wish to keep fighting to a minimum if they could.
