[Dungeon] The Snake Maiden

A camel's hoof print would thunder across the desert, zooming out to a youngman garbed in his usual clothing aside from a desert shawl and headwrapping. Ahead, a huge oasis that spanned who knew how long. All he knew was he was glad to finally be here. After what we went through to get the information of an oasis out here in Fiore. "Meeting strangers is a strange game..." he recalled Rose had given him the tip off about this monster, and they had to damn near blackmail a guy to get the information out of him.

However, the ride through the desert had been nice, the stars were out all night the night before. And as a dragon slayer growing in power, he felt he didn't sleep much. Or as much as a normal guy his age would. The stars at night in the desert were peaceful however, but thinking of the night before wasn't going to get him anywhere now.

"I wonder if I should just let this camel free or keep him....I rented him but I mean I took him so far out here...." he thought as he rode the camel up to the edge of the oasis. It wouldn't be a bad place for a camel to live. But no, he'd only rented it. He had to ride it back to Desert Village right. Right. "Next time, buddy." he said in a serious yet playful tone that only he could muster as he patted the camel and woe'd it to a halt. Hopping off of it finally as his feet hit the sand, he felt it's warmth and felt at home. Reminded of the warmth of a dragon from what felt like a long time ago. Of a mother's love as well. He wondered why he didn't come out to the desert more, it was one of the natural habitats of Fire Dragons back in ancient times.

As he looked around, he saw nothing but blue skies and jungle trees around him. With a sweatdrop comically, he woluld look to his camel and ask it if it had any ideas. Other than drinking in the nearby freshwater pond. Apparently not as it just continued to do so right in Haru's face without a care in the world. "Arrogant bastard and I was going to free you...." he shook his head and remembered he was about to bicker with a camel as he looked out into the oasis ahead of him.

"A Naga huh.....no way." he'd heard about these things from Igneel but the dragon always seemed to get flustered and even bashful when talking about them for some reason. He said that they were as dangerous as dragons and no to be taken lightly in more ways than one.. Whatever that meant. Maybe he'd find one today.

As Haru made his way into the oasis, he held the camel behind him by a rope as they walked through the random city sized oasis and looked around. It was definitely thick with vegetation and the trees grew plenty tall. Wondering why such a place didn't have people living in it, he thought for a moment about the possibility of their actually being a Naga in this oasis.

That'll do it... he thought to himself as he walked. I hope it doesn't eat my camel, I'd have to walk back.... he said as he thought to himself about his mount becoming lunch and had to stifle a laugh to himself. Shaking his own head, he looked around at all the sounds surrounding him now. It was interesting to think that this place was out in the middle of the desert. Looking around now, one wouldn't be able to tell. "Even the water looks fresh...." Haru said aloud as he walked past a stream and bent down, putting a hand slightly in it. As soon as he did so, however; he heard someone talk.

"A visitor, and a human made it way out here no less. The last one...oh the last one...he was looker but not tough enough." as the voice finished talking, Haru realized it sounded like a girl, a lady of some kind. Looking around though, he saw no one. "Show yourself if you're out there." he looked somewhat serious as he looked around. Not in the mood for games or having stealth used on him. In just a moment, the same voice answered again.

"Ohhoooooo taking charge! I had this one here for a year and he didn't do that even once, just did whatever I said." as the voice finished, something flew out of the trees with the sound of leaves moving. A body, not moving. As it hit the edge of a nearby stream with a little splash; an arm hanging into the water; Haru jogged over and knelt down over him. Looking down at the guy through his own desert style clothing, he could realize that he'd been killed. "I'm sorry you had to go like this out here all alone...." he stood up as he said this to himself, looking around and becoming a little more serious in his demeanor.

"Why so serious." the voice asked as Haru scanned the treeline all around him. "Well, the body of someone who's just been killed coming flying out of nowhere'll do it to most people." Haru replied, laced wit sarcasm at that. He wondered if this thing, whatever it was could be the being he was looking for. "Eh, most people are too soft." as she said this, Haru actually cracked a small grin. "I can agree with you on that, for sure." as he said this, a little giggle hit the air from the voice as with his superhuman hearing Haru actually managed this time to turn his head and look right in the direction the voice was coming from.

Since the moment he made eye contact, he'd been hearing something coming his way. Closer, closer now still. Under one of the streams, from it's base seemingly came some super huge creature that he'd never seen before. Some kind of womanly beast. It was super hot, and naked. With huge boobs. Looking away, he would hear her laugh as he just continued to look away.

"Oh a stoic one." she said as she raised her body out of the water, easily 20 or 30ft high. She would encircle Haru who didn't even move as she seemed to smell him and stop moving. With a huge hiss she would move rapidly. Haru braced for impact and a fight, until she uncoiled from her slither around him and went back into the water. The huge giant snake lady now just hovered, her breastline just below the water; although Haru could see everything through the clear oasis water.

With a simple "who are you" she asked him a question he thought about over thinking. But he answered. "I'm Haru." she then asked another question. "Do you know Igneel?" she asked as he then nodded to her honestly. A long solemn silence passed between them for awhile as she seemed to just stare at him. Her blue hair and human face very beautiful, but her gils and fangs making her look monstrous to a regular human. But not to Haru. "Igneel and the fire dragon clans....they killed many of my clan, and the other water dragon clans....until Acnologia damn near killed all of us in a week's time." for the first time she spoke clear her voice with an interesting click to it, but also very human sounding. "Interesting.....Igneel, I don't have a dad but he was the closest thing I ever had to one." with a brave step he began moving forward, taking off his desert clothing as she bared her teeth a bet but looked interested. Down to his normal clothes, Haru would stretch a little and look around.

"What is it?" she asked the human as he was just looking around now. Not moving. "Oh nothing it's just they sent me here to kill you." as he said this, she immediately whipped her tail sending a huge wave of water at him from out of nowhere. With no time to react; Haru would leap backward at the sound of so much noise hitting the air and charge up an insane amount of flames on his arm. With a single punch; and the sound of a dragon's roar hitting the air. Flames would erupt from him as he used the Iron Fist spell. A huge shockwave of flames turning the wave of water into steam as he yelled into it. "I DIDN'T SAY I PLANNED ON IT!" as he yelled this, he heard all movement stop as the steam cleared.

A voice from behind him came. "Good thing you said that I was about to eat you." as he was unnerved that he'd lost sight of the giant beast as the steam cleared, he would say over his shoulder to the Naga. "I'm tougher meat than you think, spicy too." as he said this, she would giggle and take on a cuter expression. Just staring at him. "As I thought......you lack courage!" he said practically daring her to attack him now, grinning. She would then hiss at him, and say that "she would attack him in other ways" which confused the hell out of him. Until she took human form, scales now covering her breasts, and curves with her blue hair from before. Walking up on him, dripping in water she would look him in the eyes quizzically as if trying to figure him out when she got close. He could sense she was a lot stronger, but he could probably muster an even fight if he tried. After a lot of bloodshed that was.

However, she did something he didn't expect and stepped into him. Kissing him, as he instinctively kissed her back; but though of only one person, a neko who he wanted to know more. Letting go off the embrace he would shake his head. Furiously, she would stomp her feet. "Hey, at least we're not killing each other." he would then attempt to avoid her seductions for several more hours until she agreed to let him go without shredding him; which he was pretty sure she could do. However, he did tell her about a better place to live than out in the desert. Magnolia East Forest, was a good place and much, much larger with lakes the size of this oasis everywhere. Promising he'd visit her there in a week's time when she'd moved, after an hour or two of talking more about this cat woman who she considered competition, he would leave with her as an escort to the edge of the oasis.

When Haru got to the edge of the oasis, he actually pulled up riding a Naga out to the edge of the trees themselves. She would stop just near one of the surrounding lakes as Haru then saw the rock he'd left his camel tied too. With an audible 'oh shit!' he looked around for his camel, eventually he realized he'd brought it with him to her lake enclosure deep inside. "SHIT, I have to go back for that camel I rented it!" as soon as he said that, she would look up briefly at him on her shoulders and then away from him.

"Yeah I ate that thing...." as soon as he said this he let out at 'WHAT!' as he had so many questions. "Bones and all?!" as she nodded replying. "Yeah he didn't really taste half bad, the fur was the worst part." as Haru almost begged her to stop, he shook his head and facepalmed. "Great now I'm paying for the camel.....I rode all this way to just end up paying for a damn camel.....I guess I did get rid of their "raging sea beast" problem....can't believe they called you that with the way you look...." as he insulted her ferocity with his tone alone, she snapped back.

"You're lucky you're so impertinent human. Don't think I'm afraid of your damn dragon slayer magic...it may sting more than normal to me, but I am no stranger to it." he knew she wasn't bluffing, and knew this was easily an H-class creature, but he still knew that she was just keeping him strong by teasing him a bit and returning his own jests.

"Well, if you're going to travel back with me, you should probably use your magic to turn into human form." as he said this, she did so almost instantly as Haru threw her his old desert clothing and rags to cover herself with. "Why aren't you moving?" he asked her as she put the clothes on, looking at them with wonder for a moment even though they were just rags. Maybe she'd never worn human clothing before. "Because I can take us to that place you talked about....East Forest....all I have to do is touch water, and we can go to another piece of water, anywhere we know about." as she said this, his eyes widened. He'd heard his grandfather possessed a similar magical ability to go anywhere he'd been before in a blast of lightning, even across galaxies. But this was likely planetary locked. Even so it was mindblowing.

"What....you Naga really are amazing." she said that she had a name, and whispered it to him. Memorizing it, he would nod and give her a small grin. "Put a hand on my shoulder, and hold your breath until you come up of course." he did so as the walked up to the edge of a spring. Nodding, she would tap her foot on the water as it would light up with magic, Haru briefly inhaling as they turned into water themselves; and then back into themselves but underwater. Popping up under a familiar stream himself with a log above them, Haru would step to the side underwater and then move toward the edge of the stream with stomps through it.

The Naga herself just made a water bed type of slide and lifted herself out. The summer air was super magical here as the naga practically beamed with glee but didn't say anything. "You aren't the only giant creature in these woods, but you're definitely the strongest now.....if you ever were to be in my Guild I could take you to Tenroujima Island...there's lots of monsters your level there just living in peace...wouldn't want like... a human to ever try to hunt you or something...." Haru said rubbing the back of his head briefly and looking away; kind in his own manner as the Naga smiled at him.

"Well, I mean I could stay in human form and....." as she pressed up against him he looked stoic. As she sighed. "Bring this neko to the woods one day.....I'd like to meet her." he would roll his eyes but look serious.

"Unless there's some teenage fantasy tag teaming going on I'm not bringing her anywh--" he noticed the Naga began to blush and understand his statements a bit. He'd given her ideas, oh lord. The sound of the birds and sun, combined with the summer heat made him feel more at home. "Thank you for getting me out of that desert." her voice cut through his look around of East Forest.

"No problem....I'm sure you'll be able to get out of the water more around here than being stuck in a damn desert....hell, you could even get back to the ocean now." as he said this, she seemed to remember and realize this for herself and get extremely happy or emotional. He couldn't tell but, she hugged him and ran off; leaping into the water and turning back into her gigantic monstrous form with a giant snake tail for a body. Coiling into the water, she would dive underneath it and disappear further into the waters of East Forest.

"Hope I didn't just f--- up an ecosystem." he scratched his head; shrugging. He couldn't wait to see his new friend again down the line.

After days went by in Magnolia and Haru chronicled his exploits in his room to Rose, who wasn't there for all of them since she liked to hang around the guild a lot too. He would set out on a pretty normal day; given the fact that men seemed to be heading off into the forest a lot more to hang out. He'd heard some crazy stories since giving the Naga a new home in East Forest near the grand city he'd moved into recently. The same city where his on grandad had faced off against Lichborne in the streets, where Zeno and Shuhei came to his aid supposedly.

Good thing there weren't any epic villains like that now. Currently, there were only nachos. Nachos and his best friend Rose the Exceed, also enjoying. Lots of nachos. However, a stranger would walk up to him. But with a second look he would notice it was the Naga herself, clothed in mostly human garb she was in her human form, with her usual long blue hair and scaled look.

"Well well, look who it is." Haru would blink a few times and then only nod to her with a proud smile. "I discovered Fiore is a great place, all races walk around here in unity so I guess I don't really have to hide...as long as people don't know what I really am that is." she said with some kind of honesty, as Haru could only nod back to her. "Nobody's perfect, but we can do things perfectly sometimes...is what my mom used to say." as he said this, the Naga would look confused. But then begin to understand a bit. "Just don't eat to many people.....don't want to be responsible for that...." as she quipped back at him and threatened to eat him first, he could only shrug. He couldn't believe he'd made a friend like this, even if she sometimes looked at him in very adult ways. Also sometimes like she was going to eat him.
