- Job Description:
Kyran crumpled the piece of paper as his hand formed a fist about it. It was a job request from three young women. In the request, they described a horrific act of cheating done by their boyfriend. Two of them had children with the bastard. Kyran couldn't be bothered to remember the names. He would beat up the boyfriend, slander his name, collect his reward and vanish into the night. Hopefully. Kyran hadn't quite figured out how he would collect since he hated talking to people. Slandering the boyfriend might be a little difficult as well. The wind tugged at his patchy duster. The duster flared out behind the mage as a result. It didn't give much protection from the wind and Kyran shivered. He quickly closed up the black leather coat over his other black clothing. Perhaps he would use the reward money to buy new clothing. At least a new coat for sure.
Kyran peered around the nearly deserted street. He stood on the edge of the town. Rose Garden he thought it was called. He had never been here before. Nighttime had seemed like the perfect time to come. However, he hadn't expected the pure magic. It rose from the ground in multicolored strands, illuminating the darkness. He struggled not to give into his awe. Now was not the time for sight seeing. "Maybe just for a little while. I can always find him later." Kyran muttered to himself. Checking around to make sure the street was deserted, Kyran began leaping through the magic streams. To anyone observing, Kyran appeared to be a grown man acting like a kid in puddles. He didn't do it for too long. When he was done, Kyran shook himself. "Time to get to work." He pulled his hood up over his head. It took only a moment to pull the zipper up completely concealing his face. If he couldn't get a new duster, Kyran supposed he might have a creepy smile placed upon his hood. It would make it more effective in scaring his victims. Well his targets since Kyran tried to avoid having victims.
His red hair and face concealed along with much of his body, Kyran set out down the street. The duster flared about his legs as he walked. His worn boots and black pants helped him blend into the shadows--what little there were. It wasn't until he was a good way into town that something struck him. How was he supposed to find the scumbag if he couldn't really talk to people?
