Job Requirements:
The Wizards of Black Rose must split up and track down the three Glacial Tears. Defeat their guardians, and shatter the tears.
Job Location:
Vintermyr
Job Description:
Something is stirring in the blizzard. Nobody knows what, but with it, frozen terrors stalk the woods of Vintermyr. Plaguing the land and its people with savage destruction and brutality.
To save them, the people of this once peaceful forest have called upon Black Rose, their trusted wizard guild. Their mission? Help beat back these creatures of ice and investigate the source of their sudden appearance. All evidence points towards multiple ancient ruins, lying deep within the woods. Legend tells of objects there with the magical potential to freeze an entire forest such as this... And release creatures of ice upon it. The Glacial Tears. The locals say they are frozen droplets the size of a man's head, that when shattered, can lift the curse on their land... But the wizards must be extra careful. For the monsters will not leave these tears unguarded.
Enemies:
All enemies scale with the players.
WEAK: Frost Draugr
Undead corpses twisted and cursed by the magic of the tears! These monsters are known to be fairly weak, and don't take much to overpower... But beware, they can rise from the snow at any time, and usually appear in large swarms!
NORMAL: Fenrir
Massive wolf like creatures that often stalk the forest in packs of 5 or more! These beasts are beyond reason, and hunger only for flesh...
HARD: Snow Troll
Among the strongest of monsters in Vintermyr are the Snow Trolls. Their minds now twisted and corrupted by the tears, they attack anything in site. Using their brutish strength, fast speed, and vicious attacks... There is little that can stop this monster's onslaught.
BOSS: GUARDIANS
Guarding each of the three glacial tears lies a massive, undead drake known as a Dracolich.
Far stronger than any other creature encountered in Vintermyr thus far, these winged monsters will stop at nothing to protect the tear. Their frosty breath, and ability to summon hordes of Draugr are only a few of their devastating attacks. These monsters will also create massive blizzards to slow and dull their enemies while they move in for a lethal air strike
Rewards:
Each player receives their rank worth of XP x2
200K Jewels for the guild if five players are present, plus 10K for each additional player beyond.
This wasn't good. Not good at all. Someone had to do something, right? This couldn't be left unchecked, as the rumors would hasten the arrival of an even greater threat. No.. Someone had to do something. Black Rose HAD to do something... And that's exactly what was going to happen. Kiru, Ace of Hearts, stood in the main lobby of the Inn. Alone. Many of the tables that usually housed patrons and their meals were left vacant, and had been shoved into the center of the room, closely knit together to form one massive table. Across it was a large piece of parchment. This paper appeared to be a detailed map of what seemed like a rather snowy region. One word stood out among the rest of this map... And that word was "Vintermyr."
The hour was late, and the Silver Moon Inn's sign was turned to the "Closed" side, warning potential customers to stay their distance. They would not find sleep here tonight. Instead, the guild was closed off to anyone who didn't bear the Black Rose seal. For this was an extremely special and delicate event. Kiru stood over the table, her cyan gaze scanning the map relentlessly. What had happened? Why was the guild in distress? Simple. The snowy forests of Vintermyr had recently suffered a sudden, and hostile attack. Beasts of snow and ice showed up from nowhere, cutting a bloody swath through the region. Of course, Black Rose, the renowned wizard guild of Rose Garden had been called to assist. Kiru intended to follow through with her promises.
The water mage had sent letters and messages to every guild member, no matter where they were. Urging them to return to Silver Moon, as they prepared to march on the frosty forest and end the conflict rising there. They should be arriving soon. The night was dark.. Quiet. And now rain broke the silence...
