Adalinda looks at the board curiously. There was a job from an herbalist about some plants there. "A plant that stings any who touch it... huh?" How could she take care of such thing without getting stung? She looks down to her bandage on her right leg and snickers. "Maybe that'll work? I'll just bring extra bandages and use that." She snickers to herself as she cracks her knuckles. She tears the paper off the board and turns herself around to go find the Beanstalk Village. "Beanstalk, here I come. Your savior of weeds." She snorts as she stuffs the paper in her belt to not lose it.
She arrives a bit later to look at the village. Her extra bandages were in a pouch clipped onto one of her belts to keep it close to her. "If I were a weed... where would I be?" She mumbles quietly to herself. She honestly didn't know where exactly to start with this. She knew she should go into the village itself and ask around, but her pride got her to do otherwise. She didn't need the help of others to do this. She started to walk around the village for a good few hours, trying to just search for this stupid weed. After a good bit, she groans and goes into the village.
The mage looks around curiously at the people in the village before she went up to a man who seemed to be traveling back to his home. "Hey! I have a question for ya. You know of any plant that stings people when touched? I'm trying to find it to remove it." She says as she sighs. "And maybe I could borrow a little shovel, or spade?"
For a moment, the man looked at her in confusion, then smiles brightly. "You're going to take care of the weed? Oh yes! Come! Come! There's one over here!" He cries out as he quickly takes her over to where the plant was. He grabs her a little dagger and hands it to her to let her borrow it. There was one right near the entrance of the village, and Adalinda walked right by it... twice. "There's a couple more over in that area, and I don't know where the rest are. Someone said over on the other side, maybe you'll be able to take care of them for us. Thank you! Thank you very much!" The man says and shakes her hand before he went running back into the village.
Adalinda raises an eyebrow as her eyes squint in the direction the man went. She didn't expect him to touch her like so. She shakes her head and crouches down by the plant quietly. "You're the trouble maker that I've been hearing about. You look so harmless... but so was I once." She snickers as she opens her pouch and starts to wrap up the weed in the bandage. She makes sure it was covered good before she started to use the dagger to dig around the plant and yanked it up when it was good enough to remove without too much of a fuss. She kept the weed wrapped up in the bandage and made a sling on her belt out of the bandage to keep it, and the others, on her.
She walks around to find the other two over closest to her, and sighs. She felt like this was beneath her. She wasn't the gardener type. She wanted to go out and fight, but she had to wait. It wasn't time for her to do so. She collected the other two the same way she had the first one, and groans at the work she was doing. "It's too quiet!" She moans as she slumps her shoulders. Adalinda makes her way over to the other side, and was able to find all the other bits of plant easily, as she knew what the plants looked like now. She found some wood and created a fire pit in the ground after digging a hole away from the village. She stuck all but two of the plants in the pit after she lit it aflame, and let them sit there for a good few hours to really cook and unable to grow. When the plants were burned well enough in her mind, she smothered the fire in dirt and collected her things.
Adalinda had decided the herbalist would benefit more from having two stalks of the plant, rather than just the one. After she finished burning the others, Adalinda looked at her left over bandage, and frowns deeply. She needed more bandages now, and alcohol. She wrapped the two stalks up in more bandages to cover the roots and hold them together as she goes back into the village to return the mans knife. She didn't want to keep it. It felt weird for her to keep it. She bowed to the man before she started to take her leave and head to the herbalist.
As Adalinda made it back to the herbalist, the woman lit up with the bundle in her hand. "I got two samples for you instead of one. I could have gotten more, but I didn't want to lose one, and I didn't have enough of my bandages to hold them all, used it all up to pull them out." She snorts as she hands over the bundle of weed.
"Thank you, child! I'm glad you weren't harmed by the plants. I bet you were very carful with your work. No matter how boring it must have been for you young ones." Adalinda makes a guilty face as she didn't expect this woman to know she felt the work was boring to her. The woman smiles and can't help but wink to her as she goes to put the weed in a jar for safe keeping.
"Be careful. The villagers were a bit wary of it. Don't need you in the hospital as well." Adalinda warns before she starts to leave the woman.
A smile was on the herbalists face as she points near the door. "Your pay is over there, don't forget to grab it on your way out." She muses.
