Now she can not bring herself to forgive or trust anyone. Rita truly would like to let herself feel these emotions once again but she needs some ones help. She hasn't been able to accept a helping hand since "then" though.

Loyalty: Rita has a strong sense of loyalty she will fight for whatever she believes is "Right". Even if it is wrong to everyone else.

Life: Rita values life  and won't let hers or anyone else for that matter fade away on her watch, She  may not show that she cares for other people but then again she doesn't exceed at showing her emotions all that well.

Looking forward: Rita feels if one day she will be able to leave her past behind and never return to it. So with every lost battle she forces herself to forgetting it hoping one day all her awful memories will be dismissed with that and she will be able to move forward even further than before.
