Kaisto was on Phoenix Mountain...well more so a patch of land that wasn't over the phoenix's guard...that would be bad for them to get into the fray. Either way Kaisto had sent a letter to a certain dark wizard he knew...well one he and Astrid knew, Lucius. The brunette had issues with with the dark mage, in fact he even told Shizuka that if she saw him to stay away or go to Astrid immediately. And recently, it was just that, Shizuka apparently tried to speak to him and he threatened her, damn it that was his daughter, adopted or not he and Astrid is the only family he had right now, and damn it he crossed the line with this.

The Sky Dragon Slayer was standing there waiting for Lucius to show up, he had gotten a hold of him lacrima message sent back with Shizuka and gave to him, he had responded luckily with just one word '....Fine....' yeah it will be fine alright when he beats some humility in to the dark mage when he gets a hold of him....Iza may have ripped off his guild mark, but Kaisto was wanting to tear him to pieces or if anything a leg to make that limp of his worse. Kaisto soon checked his pocket watch he had, nearly time for the ass to get here so he could teach him a lesson to leave his daughter alone. He stretched knowing that it will be time now, so he decided to sit down and meditate a bit by slowly consuming air to help keep his power up, such just like breathing except Kais magic levels would stay high for the fight ahead of him and knowing Lucius, he would one, have something smartassish to say, two be very powerful, and three be brooding like an emo teenager....in all honesty he just hoped it was the first two.

Lucius didn't remember ever giving his iLac number out to anybody, besides his sister of course, so he had no idea how one of the people he hated most had it. He wouldn't think Astrid would just give out his number like that, considering her knowing his hate for most people, especially Kaisto. But then again she isn't one to easily say no when people ask her for things. It could've been the annoying child that was adopted by the brunet, maybe grabbing his phone when he didn't hold it on him. Could be possible, he didn't really make an effort to keep it on his person, considering he rarely used it. He'd have to ask his sister later if he even bothered to remember by that point. He'd received this message while he was, big surprise, sleeping in his room, or at least attempting to. Which didn't help keep him from being annoyed, considering it woke him up before he planned on doing so. He groaned, turning over he slapped his large hand on his side table, feeling around for the cellular device. Upon grabbing it, he pulled it closer to his person, he had to use voice commands considering his inability to actually see what was on his device.
Once he got even more irritated from having the phone mishear his groggy gravelly voice multiple times, he heard the message spoke out in a mechanical and English accented feminine voice, as that was the default settings for the voice. He'd have to change it, because that voice was really wearing on his nerves. The message was a threat from previously mentioned Kaisto, angered at him for threatening his daughter and that he had it with his behavior. He recalled when he did so, happened just recently. Remembering as such; he'd just gotten up in the morning to get some tea to help him back to sleep, already at this breaking point due to his insomnia He'd already punched a hole right through his wall out of frustration but that didn't help, so he went to go get tea. She tried to talk to him, but her squeaky irritating kid voice and the fact that she was speaking to him ticked him off, and he threatened her. He couldn't remember what the threat was, but as he wished it struck fear into her and caused her to leave him alone. He thought it was then and done besides maybe a scolding from his sister. But no he got this from the oh so aggravating sky dragon slayer, blaming everything on him as he usually did. It was her fault for speaking to him anyways, at least in his opinion, Astrid should've told her already to leave him alone, but I guess her stupidity was beyond control.
The assassin managed to text back a simple 'Fine', and he rolled out of bed. Might as well get this over with, whatever he wanted. He threw on some clothes that were strewn across his floor, stuff he didn't bother to pick up some day prior. Finishing off with sliding a cap on his head, he walked out his door, for once remembering to duck his head under the door frame. His long black hair was a sleep tangled mess, he was to lazy to bother braiding it as he usually did. Luckily his sister wasn't around to ask what he was up to, she was probably in her room busy with work, though it was probable that she heard his door open. He hoped he would be able to deal with this quickly, maybe even killing the brunet, that would be nice. He could handle the whatever the consequences as long as that guy was out of his hair. Leaving the house with no interruptions from any of the residents, he headed towards the portal that led out of the underwater city that Golden Phoenix owned and lived in.
Striding through the portal, he finally made it to Phoenix Mountains. The guardians of the gate sensed his black guild tattoo that resided on his left breast, over his heart, so they left him alone. He walked to where he sensed the dragon slayer's presence, he could tell he wasn't happy, but he really didn't care. He was too exhausted and too angry to care, not that he would anyways. As he approached the young man, he ran the long nimble fingers on one of his hands through his long black hair, getting rid of all the snarls and such. The other hand preoccupied with his walking stick, preventing him from tripping over from any obstacles that may be around. Standing himself a few feet behind the brunet, now braiding his hair with both hands, his cane hung over his dominate arm. The eighteen year old yawned before proceeding to speak to the older but still young, man. "Okay I'm here, could you get your bitching over with now, I was trying to fucking sleep" he said through grinding teeth, exaggerating the last of his words, he tried not to hide the annoyance from his gruff tone. Tying the hair tie at the end of his braid, he flicked his long hair behind him, then he slid his hands into his black hoodie's kangaroo pocket. The cane sliding down from the crease of his elbow, down to his wrist, stopping at one of the entrances of the pocket.

Kaisto was sitting there stoically, thats when he heard the words of Lucius...of course being a grown up asshole, as usual, he sighed and was in no mood to play at all. That was made apparent by the fact he drew he sword, laid the blade across his left shoulder, and fired ONE bullet from the chamber aimed at Lucius's feet. There was a a loud band as the bullet penetrated the ground, the bullet made a hole in the ground as it smoked a bit, the brunette slowly stood up as he just glared at the black haired mage with no empathy for him at all.

"MAybe after this...i can give you a permanent dirt nap, i warned you to stay away and never talk to my daughter, Astrid even told ya if you have to, just fake a smile and and not open your damn mouth Lucius" he then fixated his sword to where it pointed to him "Now because you threatened Shizuka ill do ya a favor and cut out your tongue for good measure" his eyes narrowed growing angrier at just the image of Lucius in front of him wanted to just sink that sword down to its hilt in his chest.

"that first shot was a warning...the next one i'll land it in your chest, you've acted like a pompus asshole the moment i met ya, in fact i was glad Izayuki ripped that guild mark off ya, its a constant reminder that your bullshit wont fly, so quit standing there like a knot on a log and fight more or you personally apologize to me and my daughter now" he gripped both hands on the handle of Red Queen ready to fight.

In other news Bastet was back in rose garden, she was actually looking for her Companion, she was blinking checking each room including his "Kai??? Huh, wonder where you went to silly dragon" she said to herself.

Well it was very easy to tell that the brunet was absolutely infuriated, a loud bang penetrated the air and inflicted slight pain in his ears, but he didn't flinch. He was no stranger to guns, nor was he a stranger to the amount of anger that was pent up inside of Kaisto, and was currently trying to release upon the assassin. The facial expression that the boy wore showed his displeasure, then he threatened him, which just irritated him even more so. He could see where his rage was coming from, but it was just such a bother. He clenched and unclenched his hands that were hiding within his hoodie pocket. Of course this was all about himself, me me me me, is all he was hearing come from the dragon slayer's lips. Telling him to do this and if he didn't he threatened him. Which if you know Lucius, you know, that he does not tolerate people attempting to boss him around in the slightest. So the elder boy commanding him to smile and shut up, like he used to, twisted and tightened something within his throat and chest. His blackened aura seeped out from his figure. Though unable to be seen by mostly everybody, besides someone who has the ability to see auras and souls or whatever, a growing swarm of darker then black butterflies fluttered around him.
His crimson gaze glared downwards in the direction of the shorter male. He stayed silent as the young man spoke, but what he wanted to say was clearly written on his expression. He wanted him to shut up and die, it was clear enough if you knew the teenager. He listened to the threats and insults, which he thought rather hypocritical, calling him an asshole, because he was sure acting like one himself right now. Then he challenged him to fight, his anger twisted a smile onto his pale expression. He dropped his head slightly, making his thick raven locks cast a shadow over his complexion, a impossibly wide grin rested perfectly on his expression. An inhuman growl was sent through his throat "You've threatened the wrong person Kaisto" he muttered, upon speaking the sky dragon slayer's name his gruff voice turned more shrill and distorted. He laughed through his teeth "I'm going to have a hell of a laugh from telling little Shizuka, that her halfwit father charged into his own demise" he said in different tones, his last words fading into laughter. Saying the brunet's daughters name the same way he said is own, and saying 'halfwit father' in a deeper, gravelly and almost demonic voice before returning to his normal tone.
Then the boy would start their dual by taking a hard and quick step towards him. Upon making impact with the mountain flooring a dark pulse would be sent through the ground, it would push the slayer away from the assassin and cause Lucius' rank in magical damage. Well if he wasn't able to dodge it before then. Then he would proceed to aim his silent gun towards him and shoot multiple times, aiming by ear and the vibrations he felt in the ground to pin-point the wind manipulator. A wide smile was still painted upon his snow white face, his spikey black bangs hung over his gaze, but of course didn't effect his aim or fighting in anyway. Can't really mess with a blind person's eye sight, considering, well self explanatory really, they were freaking blind.

Kaisto felt the pulse of dark magic emit from Lucius knocking the Sky dragon Slayer away as he used his sword to stop him as he stabbed it into the ground to let him gain his footing, he felt the air shifting quickly as he then looked up to see multiple bullets coming at him as he pulled out his sword from the ground as he then went and deflected the shots from Lucius's gun, he felt the bullets collide with his gun making loud klanging sounds as he huffed, and decided to repay him back as he then grabbed one of the bullets mid air and returned it back to the sender, at just as fast of a velocity as it was when it came to him.

"And ill let Astrid know that her brother got what he deserved...a beating to teach him not to mess with my daughter!" He then growled and rushed in at Lucius as he gripped his sword with both of his hands and swung it like a baseball bat, but he had a plan, if Lucius dodged....which of course no one wants sliced like cheese duh, he then would look to strike Lucius with his Shattering Light Sky Drill (fist form) aimed to the chest of the Dark magic user!

"You're gonna learn that my daughter is off limits to your anger! I dont care if she said two words leave her ALONE!" He screamed during his sequence of attacks. Back in Rose Garden Bastet looked around more and more for Kaisto, hell she even went to the market to ask if the vendors had saw her master, but still nothing, till one lady told her she saw Kai leave town early this morning by flying away in a hurry, this made her confused cause she said it was towards Phoenix Island, but she suspected he went to see Shizuka which would be normal, but she thought she would have went with him and not in a hurry. Back at their home Bastet went to rest in the living room but sat on Kaistos Ilac on accident, oops, she grabbed it and checked it to make sure it was ok but what she saw made her eyes widened "Oh no...." she quickly used Kais account and sent a message to Astrid telling her to get to Phoenix Island right away! it was detrimental and important and an Emergency with Kaisto and Lucius both! "I pray to the gods you get this quickly" she muttered to herself as she bit lightly on to her thumb feeling her heart race like a bucking bronco, "Astrid is gonna be so pissed at you two, that me and Wolfgang will not be able to stop her wrath on you two" she turned and ran out the house and used her light magic to travel her way to Phoenix Island, still will take a while till then and she was in no shape to stop the two from butting their heads, this was the worse case scenario she could have on her hands right now!

Lucius didn't dodge the sky dragon slayer's sword as he would thought he would, instead he lifted his cane up to block it, sparks flew upon impact. "You're one to say something about controlling anger, how I remember it, you're the one that has picked most fights between us" He said, finishing it off with a shrill giggle through his teeth. The boy pushed the elder one away from him and he jumped back a few steps to put some distance between them. A grin that was a mixture of psychotic glee, annoyance, and superiority (for lack of better words). "So since that is said would you please shut up" the assassin said this statement in a threatening tone (even though it was already threatening, I just mean more so), and still with that odd mixed emotions grin of his. So it was unsettling to say the least. Looking straight in the brunets direction, he spun his cane and cocked his grin. Either he was just doing it subconsciously or doing it on purpose to go with his whole psychotic thing, though it's impossible to tell. Then without warning lunged toward him, he unsheathed his sword and swung. That was obvious enough and could be easily blocked. But then, very unexpectedly, fire the color of ebony would spread from the mountain floor.
The boy would proceed to jump backwards into the shadow of a nearby tree and completely vanish. Soundless bullets would shoot out from the shadows, impossible to predict where they were coming from due to the lack of sound. Even if his gun was naturally silenced anyways, you could still hear something. Like a very muffled bang or something of the sort. So now the young enraged father would have to deal with bullets shooting towards him from random directions without warning. And black flames that were spreading fast all around him, plus it was resistant to all besides light magic. Though of course he didn't know that. He wouldn't know that the ebony fire wasn't weak to everything normal fire is weak to, anything besides light magic would just fuel it. But he wouldn't find that out till later, if he found out at all.

Kaisto saw Lucius melt into the ground, into the shadows, and call forth his flames from the shadowy places on the earth, he growled as he watched as the flames start shooting at him, so he had to fall back and fall back quickly at that, he quickly shifting into rose petals and darted around from side and side as the flames quickly tried to incinerate him, he was doing good until the fact he reached an edge where he could get away which made him stop in his tracks, crap what the hell was he suppose to do now, he could tell these flames were not a natural type of flame and his magic wouldnt be able to penetrate the flames to disperse them! Was this how it was gonna end up with him getting injured by this asshole of a mage right here?!

That would have been the case....if he didnt receive some divine intervention on his behalf in the form of a bright light barrier around him and someone...that someone being Bastet! his Companion had came here...moooooore then likely to actually chew him out possibly, but he could understand that, Bastets light powers seemingly melted the flames away, that was the best it could do for them at this point, and it allowed him and her to make some of the darkness melt away from the rocks and earth that Lucius had formed out from his magic, this was a relief if he had ever seen one.

"For the Love of All the gods!? What the hell is wrong with you two?! Astrid is gonna be furious when she sees you two fighting like this on Phoenix Island! Gods above you two are complete idiots for doing this right here!" Bastet was fuming with how irritated at these two she was. She was gonna strangle them both, mainly cause she knew Astrid was gonna be super pissed off at how they decided to fight and not even tell her about this, she knew that Lucius had threatened Shizuka, and that alone Astrid would be furious with Lucius at, Astrid cared for Shizuka hell she was raising her to help Kai since Shizuka was part of Golden Phoenix as a favor...not not even a favor, as a gesture of friendship and closeness with Kaisto and Lucius went and decided to threaten to harm her, alone for that Lucius would have a very bad time with his sis, but at the same time Kaisto would to, he told Lucius to come there so her could beat some humility into the dark mages head which in turn is basically starting all of this, which Astrid would be pissed off at just as much with Kaisto as she is Lucius, she was about ready to add more but soon she stopped and felt her breath hitch as she looked down to the bottom part of her chest on the right side to see blood staining her shirt and a bullet hole there, for see when she pulled down her barrier, the bullet from Lucius's silent gun had went in and out of the unintended target, and that was Bastet "K-Kai...? she stammered out in a wheezing tone before collapsing.

"B-Bastet!" he helped her ease down to a sitting position to where she clutched her side, he also reached down holding the wound as he held up his blood soaked hand as she winced, "No no no no its ok i gotcha y-you'll be fine i swear, y-you'll be better in no time Bassy" he quickly started tending to the wound and even did his healing breath, she had the bullet go clean in and out but still the bleeding and the fact that her hitched breath hit meant the bullet had went through her lung, that and the fact that she lost a bit of blood before he healed her wounds, Kaisto didn't realize that she had passed out but to him he thought the worst he though she had died making him stop as his blood soaked hand "N-No....please tell me that....no y-you can't be-" tears stung his eyes as they trailed down his cheeks as they dripped on to Bastets shirt, everything was rushing in his head...first Lucius threatened Shizuka and now...now he had taken Bastet from him and in a way that could piss off a priest of the gods...

This was Kaistos snapping point, his eyes widened with tears still rolling down his cheeks as his eyes changed from his normal eyes to straight reptilian. turning a from a blue tint to a bright green, even slitting as well. The air around him started swirling more violently as he sat there on his knees, the blood soaked hand staining his face with a hand print of blood his teeth bared more showing a change into more of a fanged type maw, what was even more prominent was that his arms and face started to scale up, Kaisto was so enraged that his Dragon Force was almost going out of control until the air down burst hard upon the earth making dust and dirt dissipate in waves and the earth tremble until it cleared showing Kaisto standing there, his gaze was upon where he knew Lucius had disappeared to. His arms scaled quite a bit like a dragons along with what looked to be green glowing spikes protruding from his arms till a prominent larger curved spikes on his elbows, his face was half way scaled as well with fangs showing over his bottom and top lips, at the same time his hair now turned into a bright pink color, there was an air of intensity to him like the calm before a wrath of god storm coming to destroy a nation except this nation was gonna be Lucius and Kaisto felt like he could destroy gods right now if they got in his.

Though in his mind, it was a bit strange, he felt...at peace, with his actions right now yes cause well it was Lucius for gods sakes, but it was like an aura around him that made him feel at peace as well, an aura not his own, he found himself floating in the clouds on top of a giant mountain range at first then a clearing in a meadow in the blink of an eye, a woman with green hair, dressed in what seemed to be a green lament scaled top with a shawl like cape that was purple and white, wile her bottoms looked to be the same colored shorts as the cape she wore and seemed to be steel like boots, kinda like a knight would wear,  was there waiting for him "Kai, your heart trembles right now, let that trembling escape your body in the form of your magic...i will allow you to exact your retribution that you so rightfully deserve on to this mage, for he has caused you grief and the only one to stop you two before isnt here yet but remember...her face will allow you to calm down, till then let my magic...the magic of a sky dragon slayer flow through you...as i, the sky dragon and your mother, Skyris Valetia, allows your power to flow freely to do so" with that she held up her hands as they glowed green with a gentle type wind and she laid them along his cheeks to give him a kiss on the forehead granting him the freedom and the power to do so.

Opeing his bright green optics Kaisto took a solid deep heavy breath "Lucius....show yourself you DAMNED COWARD!" when Kaisto screamed it was like a shockwave that reverberated on the ground he felt Skyris's power coursing through his body, from his bones, to his muscles down to his very cells in his body, it was immense, impactful and down right even biological to him. If anything hell the Phoenixes on the island were starting to fly around to avoid any collateral damage, Kaistos aura was heightened as he was fuming with rage as around him was swirls of a green wind in a sorta vortex style, it was powerful enough that it was lifting huge heavy rocks and swirling them around him, Bastets unconscious body though was away from Kaisto now as the winds had gently laid her next to a tall oak, with a good bearing into the earth. Kaistos focus was on nothing but Lucius annihilation right now and he wanted his head on a silver platter for what he thought was Bastets death "I swear...the gods of this world or any world will not stop me from killing you with my bare hands you son of a bitch!!" he yelled again as he gripped his swords hilt and held it up and fired all 12 shots, in scattering directions like a small bombardment of fire bombs upon the earth, he wanted the dark mage out of the shadows and by gods and dragons and demons he was gonna get him one way or another.

The eighteen year old watched silently from the shadows as the scene unfolded. It appeared as if Kaisto's little she-pet Bastet had arrived, and as expected being part of the sky dragon slayer's little gang, she started shouting. He rolled his blind crimson eyes, they were kind of in the middle of something, Lucius trying to kill the overly annoying pest that picked a fight with him. She'd made herself a target, like an idiot, some goddess she was. At least those were the thoughts of the assassin, annoyed by the fact that she put out his flames of darkness with her light magic. So of course he did the most logical thing a psycho interrupted while trying to have a duel to the death with a naive domineering young man, he shot her. In her lung to be specific, she would bleed out painfully in a matter of minutes, while also struggling to breathe. So to be expected the two of them started to have a sentimental moment, like one usually does when their loved one is dying. He's seen it thousands of times.
Irritating for the dark mage to watch, he almost wanted to vomit. So he decided to decide some sort of strategy, he could shoot him here and now, but that seemed to easy. So he did so, he wandered the shadows soundlessly, it was peaceful listening to the young man's crying over the probably corpse of the feline goddess. Though he felt the brunet's power increase, he groaned but it wouldn't be heard. Of course he was going into dragon force, when it was most convenient for him. This would be more troublesome to deal with, but he figured he could still kill him, hopefully. So he wouldn't have to deal with his stupidity anymore. The boy heard but didn't listen to the boy's grief stricken shouting that was towards him. Well he heard a little, ordering him to come out from the shadows, which he wouldn't do of course. Don't know why he was telling him, it wasn't going to do him any good. But I guess he hasn't ever learned that shouting and ordering the dark mage about wasn't a thing that ever worked. It was something that made him angry and less likely to listen.
Though a rather inconvenient thing happened, the dragon slayer appeared to have shot a gun, all shots in random directions in the shadows. It was pure chance that one managed to hit the assassin, this is why he always tried to keep himself from being cocky. Cause then he was hurt, he cursed himself, another thing not to be heard. His left hand went and grabbed at his arm, it hurt but like gunshots, it was sudden and the pain still needed to settle in. Hopefully that wouldn't effect him later, he dropped his arm and tried ignoring the pain. He proceeded to cast the spell he needed for his plan. All around Kaisto, clones of Lucius would appear, they looked exactly like him. With his cane, glazed over gaze and psychotic grin. They moved naturally and looked like they were the shadow mage and not clones made from shadows. While the enraged slayer would be distracted destroying each and everyone of them with one hit. The assassin would draw his blade and slice it multiple times across the boy's back, whilst still hiding in the shadows. It's a surprise attack, but still possible to be dodged, just not very likely. But who knows with someone high on adrenaline.

Kaisto was surrounded by the clones of Lucius the fact that there was so many made him pause to make his senses try and pick out the Lucius among the clones, damn this dark mage to hell, his use of shadow magic made him in Kaistos mind such a pussy! god he wanted to tear him apart with his bare hands but of course Kaisto had to find him first out of everything that was going on, the clones were acting just like that smug cocky bastard to a T, to bad they're the only ones that would listen to Lucius's bullshit.

As he was trying to find the real Lucius he soon found himself feeling multiple slashes across his back from different directions as he growled taking them, but soon as the last slash was being slung across Kaistos shoulder blades, the Dragon Slayer spun around and grabbed Lucius by the face squeezing ever so slowly, since this asshole wanted pain he was gonna get it he spun Lucius around at a high rate of speed knocking into clones sending them into the shadows from wince they came before Kaisto slammed Lucius into the ground, the force caused an eruption of winds, like gale that sent the others to the shadows as well, all he had now was Lucius in his hands "This.....is all my hatred for you...for you threatening my daughter! Kaisto then just drugged Lucius across the rocky/sandy island ground, all the way to a tree and slammed him into that said tree, "This is for Bastet! he yelled as he slammed him into the ground and dragging him across the rocky/sandy area again into a boulder and slamming him against it before he looked back at the rocky wall of the island "And this is so that you wont hurt anyone or threaten no one ever again... he then turned him to the wall, Lucius still in his grasp as he Sky Dragon Slayer roared him into the wall hoping that was enough to stop Lucius...

At the Tree Where Kaitso laid her down at, Bastet soon fluttered her eyes awake to see the destruction before her very eyes, blood that was obviously Kaistos was splattered on the ground while, she saw Kaisto who was still in dragon force, was standing there trying to calm down immensely after having blasted, Bastet slowly sat herself up as she grunted a bit, she wondered where Astrid was she needed to be here to calm Kai down before his Dragon Force really took control or they both killed each other.

What was the slayer to do?
Summer was gone. Just like that. Gone, without a trace. Was she worried? Of course she was worried. She had been somewhat close to the firework mage. They had become aces together, as well as rising stars. They were, at least as far as Astrid was concerned, friends. So to suddenly have no response from the Chinese woman one day? The elf was worried. Beyond worried, she felt sick.
She was alone, to work the guild by herself. It was stressful enough, abiding by the magic council's every request. Do this, do that. It was a work that never ended. You know what else never ended? Leadership. Astrid basically had two full time jobs, on top of her regular hobbies, jobs, and looking after all the members of her house. To say she was stressed, would be an understatement. She was beyond stressed, and was something much, much more than that.
As if she hadn't gotten enough sleep before this, now she was basically running on nothing. Barely any food, as there was no time to eat. There was no time to sleep, or even take small naps. There was no time to think, no time to breathe, no time to do anything. Her days were now nothing but a long string of endless events. The days blurred into weeks, and weeks into months. Honestly she didn't even know what the date was, not anymore. She had lost count after the thirteenth day she had spent awake... If it even was the thirteenth day. She wasn't even sure how many times the sun had arose and fallen since the last time she slept. She couldn't stop. There was no time to stop. Not when she could literally drop dead at any moment.
She could not rest until she had felt like she had done enough to justify her death. And not only her own death, but the life she had taken in order to live in the first place.

The guild master's office looked as if a storm had blown through mere seconds ago. Piles of papers were strewn about in various places, on the desk and even some scattered on the floor. Thick books, both opened and unopened, laid carelessly on the windowsill and desk along with the papers. It could not even be counted as clean clutter, as the order of which everything was stack did not indicate any sort of sense. It was like she had just thrown everything off her desk all at once to make way for more mess.
In her chair, sat the woman herself. Dull purple eyes scanned over the paperwork she was currently filling out, scratching cursive words onto the white scrolls with the orange phoenix feather pen. She held her head in the open palm of her resting hand, staring down as if all emotion had been drained from her features. Her skin was white, but not the same white as it usually was. It was a ghostly white, as if someone had spilled white paint all over her and it dried. Normally glowing eyes were dull, all of the usual fire and passion had been smothered right out of them. The only color on her face were the deep, dark circle which sagged under her eyes. Overall, she looked... Rough... And worn out. Like a empty shell of what used to be Astrid Foss.
Her hand moved without much thought, like she was under some sort of hypnosis. Some times, she would never forget to scroll down the paper, and continue her sentence on the desk. It would take a full minute for her to realize this, and then the dread would set in over the fact she would have to start it all over again.
At one point she had even managed to fall asleep while writing, and yet still continued to move her pen even while like that. Clearly, she was at her limit. Or even, was past her limit. But with no one to stop her, or just getting angry and ignoring them when someone would try, she would not be stopping anytime soon. Not until she had run herself into the ground. Maybe this was her way of punishing herself, her way of repenting for her sins. In some weird and twisted way, she thought this would finally free her of the sins she carried... If she just kept moving forward no matter the consequences.

Eyelids drooped lazily, her body rocking back and forth lightly as her head started to moved down to the desk, about to once again give into sleep. At least, that was before the buzzing sound of her Ilac vibrating against the smooth surface of the desk caught her attention. She sat back up straight suddenly, purple eyes, while still tired, being more alert than they had been.
She stared out into the room, unsure if what she had just heard was an actual noise or not. Her lack of sleep was causing all sort of weird hallucinations, so she normally had to judge if anything she was witnessing was actually real. But the second buzz shortly after gave way that this was in fact real.
She dropped the pen, and leaned forward to lift papers off her desk. She swept them to the side and onto the floor until she finally reached the shiny Ilac she had gotten once with Lucius.
She picked it up and input her password, widening her eyes slightly when she saw the text had been from Bastet. She was surprised the cat goddess was texting her all of a sudden. They didn't exactly text a lot, as for one Astrid wasn't the best texter and two she usually texted Kaisto if she really needed anything. So to suddenly receive a text from her, it was unusual.
She opened up the text, wincing back slightly when the vibrant light burned at her tired corneas.
After getting used to the light and reading the text in full, the guild master's chest tightened.
Lucius and Kaisto... Were fighting. Right now, what was most likely to the death.
Worry turned to annoyance, and annoyance turned to anger. Normally she would not be one to get so angry so quickly, but with everything else going on she was a little more irritable than usual. They were fighting? Really? Right now? What were they, idiots? Why couldn't they just sit down and bicker it out like actual humans? What was the need for such a rash and idiotic reactions? She thought Kaisto knew better, even if this was for his daughter. He should know better than to start petty fights, especially against the assassin. She knew Lucius, and his hatred for the dragon slayer. He would not let the man come out of this alive... No... Kaisto would not let Lucius get of this alive either. It really was a fight to the death. One winner, one loser. And no one was there to stop them.
This is what she needed, on this day, at this very moment.
She needed more things to worry about.
Purple eyes turned red, a silver aura quickly consuming her small frame. Her muscles twitched with anger, which instantly caused enough pressure within her fist so the delicate Ilac she was still holding onto shattered in her grasp. Broken pieces of plastic and glass fell to the floor.
"I'll... I'll kill them both myself!" she spat out through clenched teeth, her dull eyes once again regaining that fire she once had... No... Not the same fire. This was no fire of passion. This was the fire of wrath.
    This was the final straw.
The guild master disappeared from her seat in a flash of silver light, a flurry of papers floating upward in her wake.
A storm was coming for the two males.
    An unstoppable one.

    ...

Using her quick judgement, Astrid was able to sense Lucius' life source was considerably weaker than that of the dragon slayer's even from the deep under water city. So when she did eventually reach the two after a very quick jog, she was able to act quickly and suspend their little tussle. Since they were nowhere near each other, and Kaisto's magical powered suddenly dramatically increased, she was able to recognized him as the important threat. Which was somewhat surprising to the light mage, given their difference in power. But right now she was not paying attention to what should or should not be. She she needed to get them to stop. Before they caused themselves, or her guild harm.
A bright flash of light shone above Kaisto before it took the form of Astrid herself. She fell onto him, and forced him to the ground on his stomach with her weight. Once upon the ground she would take his left arm and hold it behind his back, while using her knee and forcing it into his spine. Finally, she used her free hand to hold down the angered sky dragon slayer's other arm down. With this, he was basically unable to move at all. Astrid, of course, had a lot more strength than him. So even in his dragon force state, he was nothing to her. He would not be able to move, and would feel a great amount of pain crushing into his spine.
Narrowed red eyes burned into the back of the pink hair's head, scowling down at him angrily.
"Give me one good reason i shouldn't just snap your spine in half right now."
She didn't even need to look at the others to know their conditions. She could feel them from here, their energies. Lucius was beaten up, almost incapacitated honestly. He no longer held any threat after Kaisto's last attack. Bastet was alive. Barely, but alive nonetheless. Which left Kaisto as the only one who had to be calmed down and stopped. Not that Lucius wouldn't get his own ear full later, but she figured it would only sink in when he was, you know, in better condition. They were both at equal fault, for being equally stupid.

Post by Caelum Pendragon 7th December 2017, 8:05 pm

Kaisto felt his body being pinned down to the ground as he struggled and growled, as he kicked and pushed with his legs and feet to no avail. He looked back to see it was Astrid but his dragon senses were still raging on in him wanting to make Lucius pay for all that he had done ever in his life, "G-Get off me Astrid...Lucius has to pay...for my daughter...and for now Bastet..he has to! his feet kicked into the ground trying to get free but again it was no use as Astrid had him pinned good to the broken earthen floor of the island that he just drug Lucius's face from here to Fiore into.

But soon it all changed when he heard more footsteps come up as he saw Bastet actually walking up to him and Astrid, yes she still clutched her wounded area in pain but there was no actual wound there, she was still holding it cause of the residual pain she went and knelt down and laid her hand gently on her companions head and stroked it as she tried to calm him down "K-Kai...please...im ok please just calm down and come back to us please" she was worried that because he was in such a rage that she thought that it wouldn't possibly happen.

But that changed when KAisto stopped moving as they would both hear the soft sound of crying, as they would see Kai crying as the tears rolled down to the ground as it stained the soil "B-Bast....i-im...sorry...i-i-i thought i lost ya..." but as he said it, the Dragon Force form he had taken slowly disappeared as he finally went and passed out as he was finally stopped wriggling and was finally relaxed as Bastet kept her hand on his head and stroked it.

Bastet sighed, how'd did this all happen how did this come to pass, and how did Kaisto literally gain all that power and beat Lucius, who as she had known was a very very powerful wizard and from the destruction around them and seeing Lucius unconscious against the islands wall that what ever Kaisto did to access this power or what ever caused Kaisto to get it, she was impressed and also curious...just what who or was Kaisto, how was it possible for her companion to actually do all this.

"Astrid...hes out cold now...you can let him go, go see to Lucius, while i get him ok?" she said as she then placed her right hand upon the shoulder of the Light Dragon Slayer, she could tell that Astrid was furious with not only with Kaisto, but with her brother, her expression, her posture and her overall reaction to it all, the goddess could tell that this was causing her way to much stress then she needed, this could almost make her snap and it not be for the better, best thing to do was to have her relax and try and help ease the situation to a point where things can be talked out and that way it doesn't escalate even further "Please...for both of their sakes ok"

    To settle a score...maybe (Kaisto's B rank exam) Empty Re: To settle a score...maybe (Kaisto's B rank exam)

Post by Guest 8th December 2017, 11:14 am

Astrid would keep a firm grasp on Kaisto, pressing more pressure down onto his spine as he struggled and refused to clam down. There was little keeping her from literally snapping his spine in half. It would be easy too. All she would need to do was make one solid jab and she would have the dragon slayer in a wheelchair for the rest of his days. Well, if she didn't kill him before then.
She did not know the reasons behind the fight. She did not know what had happened to Shizuka, or what Lucius did to earn so much hate from the man. But she at least knew no matter what it was, it didn't have to end up like this. This is what petty fighting brought, nothing but pain for all.
She thought Kaisto of all people would have known this.

Seeing as how the angered air mage had no intention of calming down, the guild master was about to make her threat become a harsh reality. But before she could she sensed Bastet's movement, and halted herself.
She might be furious, but she at least still had some control. It was nothing like her more angered state. She was angry yes, but most of that came from irritation, and not pure hatred. Therefore, she had not lost herself to it. Not like all those other times where it consumed her whole.
She kept him pinned down as she approached, mostly so if he was still monstrous he would not end up hurting any of them further.
The cat goddess seemed to be alright, at least more so than when she first got here. The bullet hole had mostly completely sealed up, nothing left but a slight mark. Most mages had some sort of regenerative power, so it wasn't all that surprising or weird. In fact Astrid had sensed it herself, which is why she hadn't ended up worrying about that more. She was a god after all, it was hard to kill them.
Bastet stroked his head soothingly, like something closely resembling what a mother would do to their child.
Tears streaked down his face, and his dragon force slowly drained from his begin before growing unconscious.
Astrid let out a sigh, releasing her grasp on him. Well at least now she wouldn't have to break his spine. That would have been rough to deal with.
The elf stood from his body, looking over to where Lucius was currently knocked out cold by the mountain side. Her gaze was still red, which might have been strange given her eyes usually settled back to their violet hue when her angered subsided. But then again, it might give the clue to some people that she still wasn't quite calm. She didn't understand either of their actions. They interrupted her work. They almost killed each other. To say the wizard saint was pissed wouldn't even match her inner frustrations.
"Thank you, Bastet" she finally spoke. "But it would be in your best interest to leave our territory, as quickly as possible. I will deal with Lucius myself."
She could not guarantee Kaisto's safety if he stayed here any longer. She knew how bad her anger could get, and that burning desire to punch his skull right out of his head was still within her. It was a deep anger she could control, but only for a certain amount of time before she would explode... And she did not want that.
The same went for Lucius, though to a much lesser extent given he was family. She had been angered by him before, many times. But he at least knew how to deal with her in such a state. And in the end, well, it's not like she had much of a choice given his coming storm status. She couldn't just leave him alone. That would be too much of a risk.
