Description:
- The Loss of Fallen God Magic:
The first thing Rae could do was hear. Listen for something, anything at all. Silence. She opened her eyes but could not see. Darkness. Where-ever she was, she definitely wasn't in a comfortable position. She could feel sharp edges against her back and ...that's pretty much all she could feel at all. This wasn't right. The first though that ran through her mind was curiosity. What was going on? Why was she here? Millions and millions of questions swirled around the mind of the Duchess yet she knew that she would get no answers by simply laying around.
The woman tried to move around but hissed as soon as she moved as little as her finger. The movement sent a jolt of pain down her entire body. Everything hurt- her muscles, her organs, hell, even her skin was in pain. Wherever she was, whatever had happened to her, it wasn't good. The mage felt like a rag, as if she had been squeezed so hard that it had drained all of the ethernanos from her body and then had been thrown somewhere to rot. It wasn't a nice thought. She took in a deep breath and closed her eyes; It wasn't like she could see anyway...That though sank into the Havoc heiress' brain and all of a sudden it clicked. A fallen god slayer who couldn't see in the dark. No, she couldn't call herself by that title anymore. She felt, and probably was, a magic-less mage again. The simple thought of that made her want to hurl, not that she had anything in her stomach to expel at time. Now, where she found herself to be and how she got out of there was a different story entirely but how she gained her new magic? Ah.
- War Priestess Backstory:
It was a warm summer night in Desierto. Rae hated it already. The devil had no comprehension of how humans could live in such a high level of heat. It wasn't just humans, in fact, most other creatures had no problem with the hot temperatures of the deserts. The moment when the Duchess felt a temperature above 28 degrees Celsius she immediately became paler, weaker and felt sick. Desierto wasn't her cup of tea, yet, something made her drag her feet there. Something in this god-forsaken sandy pit of death was calling out to her like a magnet would to to metal.
After several hours of walking the Red-haired Fiore Duchess ended up on the edge of a large town. She later found out it was called Waderma, not that it mattered in any way, as from the moment she stepped inside of the city she wanted an out. Rae was used to being stared at, she was absolutely stunning, but she wasn't used to being looked at with distrust and contempt. The citizens of Waderma, young and old glared at her and talked among themselves in a tone which was very self-explanatory. Swallowing her annoyance and keeping her face neutral, the noble lady strode around the city almost purposelessly, looking for something without even knowing what. At some point, as sweat dripped down her face from the heavy sun, Rae's bottling emotions were starting to slip out and as she wanted to take her anger out on somebody, her devil form decided to make an appearance. Fortunately for her reputation, the noble lady was at that moment walking down a back alleyway where almost nobody would see her. Almost.
"My my, the proud Duchess of Fiore... is a devil?" ...And all of a sudden the rage from earlier seemed to melt away from the sun. The red-haired female swung around to stare at the source of the voice in surprise. A pale male with long black hair leaned against a wall in the shade, his red eyes staring at her, amusement clearly present in them. " You may want to hide the horns, you highness, supernatural beings are frowned upon in this country." The man stated with a tone so mocking and a smirk so devious that the devil couldn't help but admire. Her tail twirled before vanishing, slowly followed by her horns and wings. She then raised an eyebrow at the curious male, already feeling full well that she had no need for fake smiles and curtsies around him. Instead of a verbal answer the man pushed himself off of the building and motioned for her to follow him. After a series of labyrinth-like stone buildings and back alleys, Rae found herself following the stranger down a long dark staircase.
"Your Highness, welcome to the Wanderma War Temple." The male stated as they reached the last step of the rocky stairs. He turned to look at her, the same smirk ever-present on his handsome face as several people covered in black veils ran towards him. As the Duchess processed the new information she looked around, noting the black and red marble-engraved walls and vague smell of blood before having her crimson eyes meet those of her guide. "It's rude to use a lady's name without first giving her your own." Rae stated monotonously, her face devoid of emotion. It was all an act, of course, the smell of blood, even of a single drop, appealed to her devil heritage. "My name is Ghaal and I am the High Priest of the Desierto Region's religion of War." As the two pools of red drowned in each-other, the noble lady could suddenly feel the mood in the room shift. The priest had started releasing magic energy towards her and she was unconsciously matching it. As the air in the room filled with tension, more and more black-clad people filled the room to stare at the crimson-eyed, pale skinned-pair. As Ghaal stopped his flow of ethernanos, Rae quietly did the same. Gasps and whispers spread among the many-bodied crowd, drawing the attention of the Fiore noblewoman away from the priest. The amount of people in the room was hundreds, all of them dressed the same, unrecognizable way. "The followers of the belief within the entire west region of Desiertos have all traveled long and far to witness the selection of the new Apostle of the War religion." And all of a sudden it clicked. She didn't need to ask. Turning to look back at the High priest, Rae was met with that same smirk from before. A part of her wanted to kill him for dragging her into something like this, yet a part of her was amused by this whole situation. This was what she was looking for, was it not? As her tail, wings and horns reappeared the red-haired beauty let a small smirk slip onto her lips. The noises in the crowd vanished at the sight of her devil form and as she looked around she noticed that one by one, all of the black-cladded people had started kneeling one by one. As her eyes, once again, met the high priests' he lifted his arms confidently in the air and raised an eyebrow. Ah, so this was the magnet that drew her here. The Apostle of the War Religion? Why not?
The Priestess of War is a Requip-style magic based on the religion of War which is slowly but steadily spreading around Earthland. The Cult of War regards the concept of "peace" as boring and believes that unless there is war, people live and die without meaning. No life is truly lived if it hasn't experienced violence and bloodshed. As the new Apostle of the War Religion, Rae is capable of requipping into armors and weapons of all of the War Gods worshipped around Earthland no matter the location. An example would be the war Goddess Sekhmet of Desierto or the Goddess of War (Ares) Armor from Ca-Elum. The religion has spread far and wide allowing Rae to utilize many different-styled armors with different abilities based on the teaching of the High Priest of War Ghaal.
Rae can quickly requip in between armors with different properties. Her war goddess' weapons tend to give her abilities which apply debuffs upon impact and reset cooldowns while through the use of her Unique Ability she buffs her armors, reducing the damage taken. War Goddess Requip is a strongly destructive offensive magic therefore it should be used carefully in large closely-populated areas but as Rae's goal is to start war and spill blood while utilizing it, she doesn't about how chaotic it can get. The Duchess switches in between spears, staffs, claws, swords, guns etc. depending on the circumstances and requips her armor according to her opponent/ opponents- if she is fighting a fire-based mage she will use armor which reduce the amount of damage taken from that element.
