Job Title: Breaking the Bonds of Death
Rank: S
Player Requirements: 20,000 word requirement. Must have at least 1 Rank S+ wizard in the group. At least one wizard must have completed -The Nephalem- (Dark version) quest first. There can be no more than three wizards in this quest.
Job Requirements: Kill the Lych God, destroy the ritual and it’ research, and if you choose so, become a Lich God of the Undead yourself.
Job Location: Sky Tower
Job Description: As the ritual is ending, the soul laughs darkly, telling the nephalem that she was a fool, as there can only be one God by the end of this ritual. The walls, floors and ceiling crack and are utterly destroyed. You seem to be standing on a platform in some alternate dimension of sorts, unable to return to your own dimension. The platform is of no material of our world, and has been made into a circular shape. Even the very air is different than our world. Without the card wizards will feel the negative effects of the dimension, thus making this fight more difficult. The soul sends out a blast of energy in all directions, shattering the three bodies molecular structure, and drawing them towards the soul hovering in the center.
The mass begins to take form and shapes into a form of Lich none have seen before. Once the creature takes shape a booming laughter is heard, more evil than any voice heard before. All manner of energy seems to be sucked towards the Lich every second. The Lich then speaks, his voice’s volume raised, even at a whisper, and an echo from nowhere. His power higher than any mortal. It was almost as if he was a God. He mentions with sarcasm that he takes pity on the wizards, but tells them to be grateful. For they were able to witness the rise of Aarzarath, the God of the Undead. After this he begins the fight.
Description of the dimension: The platform itself is made of what appears to be solid shadows. It is unmovable to you and unbreakable. Periodically new platforms will pop into existence before vanishing just a few seconds afterward. Only the platform with the ritual circle remains intact at all times. Instead of a blue sky, you see a mixture of rotting green, blood red, and a pulsing purple mass of energy. It’s almost as if the dimension is a massive sphere. You see things moving through the dimension at rather high speeds, all of them circling the ritual platform. These look like tiny crystal stars of energy, surrounded by some sort of cloud or gas.
Once Aarzarath is defeated, a rip in the dimension appears below, like a black hole. It immediately pulls everything that hadn’t originated in that dimension towards it and you find yourself in the ritual room again. Aarzarath’s body slowly turns to ash in the middle of the floor. The Nephalem recovers and looks to you, saying something about how you are superior and how she will serve and follow you anywhere. Despite the fact that she has no more magic, she does have excellent skills in swordplay. She will teach you how to duplicate the ritual and give you her master's research on it, which has been turned into a Necronomocon. After learning how to become a Lich God of Undeath, you have the choice of killing her or letting her serve you faithfully.
Enemies: There are no ‘enemies’ per cay, but depending on what you roll will determine the effects the alternate dimension will have on you. Whatever is rolled will effect all wizards regardless of skills, magic, lineage or abilities.
Weak: The elements in this dimension are completely different from your own. Therefore there are several negative effects on you. It’s far more difficult to breath which obviously affects your body in multiple ways. However the air is also toxic to mortals and deals 5 points of damage each post.
Normal: The elements in this dimension are completely different from your own. Therefore there are several negative effects on you. It’s far more difficult to breath which obviously affects your body in multiple ways. However the air is also toxic to mortals and deals 10 points of damage each post. In addition, the shadowy platforms are not of this earth either. Born and forged from the void, this substance drains those who touch it, sucking their physical and magical strength, as well as pulling at their life source, taking 5 points of health, as well as 1% of your magic power each post.
Strong: The elements in this dimension are completely different from your own. Therefore there are several negative effects on you. It’s far more difficult to breath which obviously affects your body in multiple ways. However the air is also toxic to mortals and deals 20 points of damage each post. In addition, the shadowy platforms are not of this earth either. Born and forged from the void, this substance drains those who touch it, sucking their physical and magical strength, as well as pulling at their life source, taking 10 points of health, as well as 2% of your magic power each post. The stars that circle the ritual area also hone in on any who attempt to fly or cross to alternate platforms. They phase through the body and strike the soul directly, immobilizing any who fly or leap to other platforms for a single post.

Reward: 90k Jewel. One of the following:

Type: Weapon
Rank: Artifact
Description: A strong weapon made of bones. It is able to shapeshift into a different weapon entirely, but it's weight remains the same. No matter what weapon it turns into it always has the same cruel look to it.

Boss:
- Aazarath God of Undeath:
Aazarath, God of Undeath
While Aarzarath has accomplished the most powerful and most difficult feat in the history of necromancy, his power is not yet at it’s maximum. Therefore he is unable to achieve spells too dangerous for you to handle. Regardless of this fact, he is a very powerful adversary. His flesh heals so quickly that it seems as if no physical attack effects him at all. His magical resistance is high and thus many magical attacks do not do well against him. He is a God, yet not of the original collection, therefore God slayer magic doesn’t work as it should. In fact, God slayer magic amplifies his strength. Along side these, he has a massive arsenal of spells at his disposal, along with a list of abilities.
While Aazarath is extraordinarily powerful, he is no fool and takes no chances either. He has studied you by using the nephalem and knows your fears, strengths, weaknesses and will use all of them against you. It takes 35 full successful S rank hits to defeat him. (or 3,500 health points).
Abilities
God of the Undead - Physical attacks deal 50% less damage. Any undead beings summoned or sent will turn against their summoner, obeying Aarzarath instead.
New Generation - God slayer magic deals 75% less damage. With each successful attack from God slayer magic, Aarzarath deals twice the original damage on his next attack.
Unstable Anomaly - Aazarath drains magic energy, thus making magical attacks deal 25% less damage.
God of the World - While you don’t understand this dimension, Aarzarath does. He is able to move the shadow material and reshape it however way he wants. If he wanted a castle he could turn the platform into such. If he wanted spears he could seize platforms that pop into existence and turn them into spears, sending them towards you. You are unable to turn the world against him either. Telekinesis is useless as he can control anything here anyways.
Eyes of a God - Aazarath sees past any and all illusions, disguises, shapeshifting, and is fully aware of everything that happens on the battlefield.
Gaze of the Dead - Looking into his eyes causes instant petrification, no matter what your rank. What the wizard sees is entirely up to you.
Decaying Aura - If wizards touch Aazarath in any way, their next attack deals 10% less damage.
Note: Aazarath’s damage reducing abilities can stack, but they cannot block more than 75% total. Wizards will always be able to deal at least 25% of their damage to him at all times.
Physical Attack
Weapon attacks - Aazarath has a weapon made of the bones of a God. He can reshape it into literally any weapon he so desires and can attack you with it. This blade deals x3 of the highest wizard’s rank in damage and weakens the target due to it’s soul chipping effect.
Spells
Siphon Blood - Simply by reaching out, Aazarath can tear the blood from any wizard he chooses and absorb it, healing himself for 25 points of health. Divine blood cannot be absorbed, only torn out.
Annihilation Nova - A blast of energy that expands outward through any physical structures and deals x4 of the highest wizard’s rank in damage, as well as disrupts any and all spells, banishing any summons out, putting them on cooldown, and reversing take over magic. Spells cannot be used on the turn this spell is activated. This spell has a five post cooldown.
Dark Missile - A twisted form of arcane missile spell that fires three energy spears that homes in on targets, phasing through physical structures that get in it’s way, dealing the highest wizard’s rank in damage each.
Blight - Creates a living pool of blight about 1 full meter in length that remains for the rest of the fight and cannot be removed. If one stands near or over it, they are slowed down. If they touch the pool, they receive damage over time dealing rank S damage for three posts.
Plane Shift - Aarazath steps into a plane of existence that is outside of any dimension. He cannot be harmed in this state but cannot attack either. He will not be idle however and continue to warp the shadow platforms and mess with your head, emotions, and memories.
Dimension Door - Whenever he feels like it, or whenever you attempt to teleport, he can open a hole in the dimension and transport you to another segment of it.
Summon Undead Warriors - Raises 3 Undead warriors to fight for him. Has a 3 post cooldown.- Undead Warrior Info:
Undead Warriors are far from zombies. They have retained their knowledge, wisdom, intelligence, and battle instincts, along with their agile and strong bodies. These warriors are not at all foolish and will avoid traps you lay down. They are close range fighters whose weapons can be literally anything that is not a projectile. This includes unusual weapons your characters may not have seen before. These creatures find ways to harm you even if they can’t get to you. Whether it be slamming a heavy weapon onto the ground and creating a shockwave, or hurling massive rocks at enemies. Each hit will deal rank S x2 damage. They all wear chainmail and steel plate armor. It takes at least five rank S attacks to defeat them. They are 50% resistant to physical attacks.
Summon Skeleton Warriors - Raises 3 Skeleton warriors to fight for him. Has a 4 post cooldown.- Skeleton Warrior Info:
Skeleton Warriors are not nearly as easy to defeat as Skyrim skeletons. These warriors have no armor, yet they do not need any. Magic binds their bones together, allowing them to survive blows far more effectively than others. Shattered bones simply pull themselves back together again, slowly forming back into solid bones again. Skeletons use lightweight weapons and ranged weapons, preferring one handed swords and shields, bows and arrows, etc. They aren’t foolish either and will avoid any and all spells designed to counter act or disable magic, as well as spells in general. They are surprisingly agile and very skilled at dodging. Each of their attacks aren’t strong as the warriors, but they are fierce and thus their attacks deal S rank damage and pierce through 50% armor whether magical or physical. It takes eight rank S attacks to defeat them and they are 25% resistant to any damage.
Summon Drakaaz - Raises Drakaaz once more to fight for him. Has a 5 post cooldown after Drakaaz is killed.- Drakaaz Info:
Drakaaz is an undead dragon, it’s scales all gone leaving nothing but rotting and deteriorating flesh that self heals quickly upon being struck, healing it for 1/2 S rank damage each post. The creature’s eyes are like the void, the dragon extremely strong. Despite the fact that it has no scales, it’s defenses are still very high. The dragon has an arsenal of attacks ranging from powerful magic to it’s physical attacks.
Claw: A massive claw is swung at you, dealing S rank damage to you.
Tail: It’s tail lashes like a whip, swinging at all wizards dealing S rank damage to each.
Petrify: Looking into it’s void like eyes causes any wizard to be instantly frozen still for a post. Only H rank and above are unaffected.
Wing attack: The dragon has lost it’s ability to fly, but it is able to strike with it’s wings, dealing Rank half of S damage to all wizards and knocking them back, disrupting their attacks.
Decaying Roar: A powerful roar that decays the flesh of anyone caught in it’s blast, Dealing S rank damage for three turns.
Acid: Instead of saliva, the dragon creates acid which it can launch at wizards. It either deals rank S damage, or destroys any magical protection a wizard has in place, as well as destroying traps and other spells it comes into contact with.
Being a dragon it’s very hard to kill, and thus it takes fifteen rank S attacks to kill.
Note: Aarazath is able to use as many spells as he likes each post.
Reward: 90k Jewel. One of the following:
Item Name: Messorem
Type: Weapon
Rank: Artifact
Description: A strong weapon made of bones. It is able to shapeshift into a different weapon entirely, but it's weight remains the same. No matter what weapon it turns into it always has the same cruel look to it.
- The Ritual:
You may skip the process of becoming the Lich, but if you do wish to role play it out for story purposes the details are below.- The Ritual:
The process of becoming a Lich God of the Undead is by far the most complex ritual and procedure you will ever have seen. There are fifteen ingredients for the ritual itself, as well as a long list of others for preparation for the ritual, including the plague that draws in magic energy from body and soul. The circle is the most complex design you have ever come across, you require a large variety and quantity of fresh blood, and the ritual must be done on a very stable lay line. The last ingredients are sacrifices: One of Innocent blood. One who resembles one of the seven evils. And a wizard saint.
Ingredients:
Body - Flesh of a man, woman, child, and beast
Distortion - Essence of Change
Heart - The Heart of a Wizard Saint
Soul - The Soul of a Demi God
Life - Sap of the Golden Heart Tree
Death - Cursed Skull
Decay - Demon Acid
Restore - Holy Water
Mana - Energized Lacrima
Power - Dragon Essence
Divinity - Blood of a God
Demonic - Blood of a Demon
Void - Void Dust
Time - Singularity
Immortal - Purified Silverstone Orb
To prepare the ritual the circle must be carved into the floor, clean and clear with no rough edges. Pedestals must be placed at the specified points of interests, where the ingredients will be placed. Once all of the ingredients for the preparation is established, you may begin inserting the rest of the ingredients. Pour in the blood of men, women, child, animal, yokai, dragon, demon, wizard, demi god, god, angel, demon, celestial, the list goes on to every single known race, into the cut in carving of the ritual circle. The amount of blood must also be perfectly even, not an ounce more or less than other types of blood. Place the ingredients from the list onto the pedestals, and place thirty lacrima crystals in the specified places. Finally, place the Black Void Orb in the center to successfully contain your soul.
Once the preparations are met, you must begin the chant. There are three phases to the ritual: Drawing your soul and body into the orb without killing yourself by accident. Altering your soul inside the orb, as well as your body. The final phase being constructing a physical body as a host for your soul. The process is brutally long, lasting up to at least 24 hours. However the result is incredible.
Abilities. All of these are out of combat and some require OOC permission. If you wish for these to be inside combat as well, it is suggested you make this a secondary magic or lineage.
Immortal, never die by anyone - Your flesh regenerates faster than anything else on this world. However on the off chance your body is destroyed your soul enters the ethereal realm. In this realm you take the minerals and materials bodies are made up of and reform yourself. After being restored it takes a day to recover your full potential
Read minds, memories, feelings, etc. - With OOC permission, you can enter the mind and soul of others, reading their memories, thoughts, and feelings like an open book.
Nightmares - You are able to give anyone sleeping dreams, nightmares, and visions that you can alter and control at will.
Illusions - You can summon and control illusions, making the world seem like anything you wish. It only effects wizards of your rank or lower, and is possible to see through.
Petrifying Eyes - Outside of combat, any who look directly into your eyes will be petrified and frozen until you look away.
God of Undead - Outside of combat, any undead being will automatically obey you and do whatever you say.
Shapeshifter - You can take on any form or appearance you wish to. Thanks to the ritual your true form can appear like anything so long as it has an undead look to it. You can also summon undead or raise them from the ground to do your bidding. (Cannot be used in combat other than distraction purposes)
Eyes of a God - Out of combat, you can see past any illusion, shapeshifting, etc.
Realm of the Undead - Becoming a Lich God enables you to create your own pocket dimension. This dimension starts out the way it is described in the quest, however you have the option of adding, removing, altering, and doing whatever you wish to this dimension. Only you and those you allow can enter this dimension.
Siphon Blood - Outside of combat you can control blood whether it’s inside someone or outside. Requires OOC permission to control another wizard’s blood.
Plane Shift - Allows you to teleport anywhere you wish outside of combat.
