Job Description: Mai Silverheart had a curse placed on her since her birth by a time mage, one that rapidly increases her growth rate, meaning, she has naught but a year and a half total to live a full life. The only way to lift this curse would be to defeat the Time Mage who cursed her, so Mura has been tasked to go to Motor City, the last known location of the Mage, and defeat him to save his niece from this terrible demise, and to take Mai with him to help her understand the basis of combat.
Enemies:
Boss: Time Mage: The mage who placed the curse on it. He can use basic time magic, but his training has led him to be geared more towards placing simple curses and acting outside of combat than fighting on the front lines, so he's very unskilled with combat. He can slow down the time around attacks to avoid them, while also using simple time curse spells to rapidly age and erode objects around him, such as causing a building's floor to cave in or making a tree wilt and collapse over. Deals D rank damage, and takes 5 D rank hits to defeat.
Reward: 500 jewels, a simple stopwatch, and regular D rank exp
Mai… she had grown way too quick compared to the amount of days that had went since she moved in to his house. Nightmares of what could happen to her if it went too far forced him to act, in which he had told Mai to get her things ready for a journey. He was going to get this time mage to cure her of this… this curse once and for all. Upon their way, they obviously had no idea where the time mage was located, but being a well-experienced shaman, Mura could quickly find his way by asking random ghosts that passed the streets between Magnolia Town and the outer world and its vast variety of destinations. The only kind of time mage that they knew of was some guy who utilized his magic wherever he was, giving them the opportunity to remember his attributes and appearance. It sounded absurd, but no more did the shaman need to locate him in Motor City where the two was right now, having flown across the high mountains and valleys whilst letting Mai follow on a floating rock that functioned as a seat for her.
So this was the last place that the wandering ghosts had seen the time mage… when they arrived, some people thought that Mai was some kind of ‘royalty’, and they locked their eyes on the two types of Midian, the full-blooded and the little one, as Mura walked a few steps forward and looked around. “… Now that I think about it,” he spoke back to Mai, “This mage… I think that I saw a few requests wanting him jailed. The characteristics suited what I’ve heard by now.” He spoke in a well-mannered tone, because he was half-aware of Mai’s level of intelligence… half being a word that he would soon explain…
