- Job Form:
- Job Title: Luna
Rank: 100YR
Player Requirements: Must be a member of Fairy Tail. May bring one partner with you from any Guild but they must be a God Slayer.
Job Requirements: 35,000 words. Defeat Luna.
Job Location: The Sky Tower
Job Description: The moon has been glowing for 30 days straight, and Luna has promised the planet that on the final day she shall appear at the tallest point on the planet and there she shall deliver her wrath. You and your teammate have somehow managed to climb the Sky Tower even up into orbit from the inside of it, an impossible journey on it's own. Ready to take on a God.
The moon glows in the background as you stand atop the Sky Tower, the planet literally below you like Kami's lookout. On the platform at the top, there is nothing. Just a wide tiled floor as usual. Until a literal blast of some kind of moonlight slams into the Sky Tower on the platform with you, sending out a huge cloud of Moondust over the entire planet below you that puts the entire planet into an eternal dream state where no one ages; just sleeps in Luna's eternal dream. Luna tells you that she has watched mankind destroy her sister Gaia for eons, and will standby idle no longer.
Stop Luna from destroying all life on Earthland.
Enemies:
Boss: Luna - The goddess of the Moon. Appears as a human woman with silver hair and bright green eyes. Her entire bottom half appears to be made of moonlight, and she seems to always be floating around; never touching the ground. Just levitating off of it when near it. Luna is cataclysmically strong, and will deal X-Rank damage with any physical contact she wants to be harmful, such as flicking you with one finger. Although the tower of the Sky Tower is huge on top where the battle begins; her blasts of Moonlight will shred it, and could possibly send chunks of it flying. She can summon any kind of animal she wants to fight against you and can also use any kind of Moonlight-Make she wants. From flying arrows and ninja stars to giant birds, elephants, and even comets that will smack the Sky Tower from outer space made completely of moonlight. For several minutes at a time, Luna will make moonlight into the form of a sword; which can slice chunks out of the Sky Tower's top platform, or even cut the thing in half if she wated. A moonlight made bow, that hits for X-Rank damage and can even magically shoot up to 10 arrows at once.
Any spells or effects from Luna that you dodge will hit Earthland below in the background as you see the cataclysmic explosions DBZ style from the top of the Sky Tower in the background as you fight on with the Goddess of the Moon.
Reward: As you manage to defeat Luna in an actual battle. Gaia appears. A young woman who also floats off of the ground like her sister, with hair made of vines and leaves, and smooth caramel skin like wood. Eyes glowing green, she helps her sister up--and told her she has been blind to the fascinating beings that Earthland can create. Explaining that while some treat her badly, most love her.
One Earth based or Moon based magical item of Artifact Rank, and the friendship of both Gaia and Luna for the characters who completed the Job.

There was something wrong with the moon. Everyone knew that, and the guild master of Fairy Tail was certainly no exception. Each night, without fail, the silvery orb hanging low in the sky had not waned or waxed, instead seeming to grow plumper and fuller as the days sped on by, the nights growing gradually brighter and brighter until everyone had noticed. I mean, how could someone ignore the bulbous fruit, covered in craters, seemingly ready to fall upon the planet anytime soon? Panic had ensued all over Earthland, the entire planet trying to find an explanation for the phenomenon. Some thought it was the apocalypse, while others spoke of god’s divine punishment being inflicted upon them. Sorano herself? She was not a religious person, but throughout her career as a mage, she knew that many of those figures who existed in such mythologies were definitely not made-up stories. The angels she had encountered were nowhere near the perfect beings that the holy texts portrayed them as, but they were as real as anything on Earthland. The Mother Earth that Hoshi called upon every time she wielded her magic may not be towering above the land, radiating glory everywhere she went, but the letter mage felt her stomach drop all the same every time Hoshi utilized her powers. Such mythical creatures and deities did in fact exist, and she wouldn’t be surprised if this had something to do with it.
Despite her high rank as a mage, Sorano had initially decided to leave this matter to a higher-ranked person, perhaps Noheme or that Samira Nassar, famed strongest mage in Fiore. She was merely in the lower castes of the highest powered mages in the land, and wasn’t about to risk her life going for a god anytime soon. God slayers existed for that purpose after all, and she wasn’t going to get in their way. A mere letter mage, utilizing common magic that any hedgewitch could play around with didn’t really appear to be the right person to take on the entire moon. However, despite her thoughts, Sorano had continued to keep updated on the latest news and investigations, peering up at that overpowering aura every night. This wasn’t just some normal celestial occurrence – there was magic involved. Perhaps it was gravity magic, pulling the planets closer and slowing their rotations. But wouldn’t that mean the cycle of day and night would be interrupted? It could be some outside force, pushing the moon towards their humble planet – but that didn’t seem quite right either. Whatever it was, it wasn’t something that could be written off with a few equations and fancy words – this was magic.
However, against all her expectations, a letter had arrived from the Magic Council this morning, letters written out in their neat print. Despite her status as the guildmaster of a completely neutral independent guild, she had earned a reputation for being an excellent diplomat already. Having been the third Rising Star at one point as well, she still had a pretty good reputation among legal mages. Had she been low-ranked enough, there was a high chance that she could have held one of those positions again. Nowadays, the letter mage tried to stay out of the council’s way as much as possible, but as her reputation had extended further and further with each successful task and feat, it was harder and harder to stay under the radar. Internationally, her name was becoming familiar to mages in other lands for her feats on other planets and other countries. In the end, perhaps it wasn’t as surprising as she had expected, receiving the fancily-stamped letter, signed off with crisp ink letters. Once more, she had been called to take care of a problem of Fiore, and honestly, they knew what they were doing. Offering large amounts of money, it was difficult to deny their request when they appealed to her mercenary values.
Slowly pushing herself up from the desk, the letter mage let herself stretch for a moment before reaching across to the tabby cat curled up on the couch. “Hey, Hoshi. We got a specific request from the Magic Council to help them out with the whole moon issue.” It seemed like the cat was always sleeping these days – could she be going through her own feline version of puberty? “It’s pretty big… This is also the largest monetary reward I’ve ever been offered. I’m kind of uncertain, just a little bit.” It may very well be the toughest job we’ve ever had to take on. A soft sigh escaped her mouth, and the letter mage leaned against the wall with an air of exhaustion. Rarely did she let others see this weaker, vulnerable side of her – albeit still emotionless as always, suddenly she seemed like she actually fit her own body of a fifteen-year old girl, caught in the throes of puberty.
“Sorano, if it’s gonna be too hard, just don’t take it. It’s that easy!” Hoshi, finally awake, got up onto all four paws, looking carefully at her partner. Having known Sorano since she had arrived at Fairy Tail, and even before, she recognized when the girl was feeling the stress of everything coming down on her fragile body. However, as much as she would like for her childhood friend to take a break and just leave Fairy Tail and magic council business to her aces just this once, Hoshi understood that sometimes Sorano just had to take care of things herself. There really wasn’t anyone better suited to this situation than Sorano besides perhaps Eris, but the Joyan didn’t seem to care for your usual affairs such as this one. And not to mention… “Hoshi, this is something that concerns not just Fiore or the Magic Council or just legal mages – it’s the moon. It’s gonna affect all of us, whether we like it or not.” She sighed, pressing her palms into her eyes to try and curb their throbbing complaints from lack of sleep. “We’re going to have to take it. Are you coming?”
