    The rarest flower

It had seemed so typical, the dust swirled and the little potion bottles hadn't changed position in a millennium. A slight creak from the wooden bench Lester was leaning on ripped him apart. No, he had not been nervous. Most definitely not. The youth had arrived first, apparently the client wanted two mages to go collect a flower, it sounded important, perhaps the mystical plant was a plant of great healing. But they were to meet up here to get the map before heading out The mage himself had taken a great interest in plants and flora, perhaps it had been due to this and his magic, the unprecedented florist, that Lester had taken it upon himself to find a plant in a forest of which he knew little about. Whilst the shopkeeper had warned him of The dangers which hid in the darkening corners beneath the trees the youth was intent on finding this rare flower.
Fingers spread out over the paper they had traced through numerous routes, the ways to advance and retreat to get to the area known for the floral growth would be important to know. The depth of the forest had continuously amazed Lester, the map had seemed small until one had set eyes upon the small diagram showing the distance. He had never gone into the forest, being born far from it and the numerous warnings given to those untrained in combat. Exhaled as he turned around the male had sunk into the bench. It was worth it, for jewels and knowledge on a flower, it was worth it.

Hair tufted up once his hand had run through the tufts, His first job with another person, and his fifth job total, it could go so wrong but at the same time, the excitement of meeting another, the wonder he knew he would feel when picking their brains about their thoughts. A smile had faintly skimmed across his features, the day would go well, he couldn’t prove it but he just had that feeling. The youth had updated his clothing style it wouldn’t be appropriate to wear a lab coat and dress shirt everywhere while exploring! The hems of some loose pants were neatly tucked in, the purchase had been a hard choice for Lester, being tight with money he didn’t want to buy the pine needle green and the pants. But it had been an important purchase, clothing was important to the health of a person and to their survival, a simple shirt had been easily hidden by the light leather armour, dark pants also hid strains. A slight sigh escaped him, the grim feeling of discomfort had crept over him as the sword in his side back had grown heavier with the negative thoughts.
Thinking too hard wouldn’t change anything, burying his nose into the folds of green fabric snaking his neck and shoulders the decision had been mentally made. He would improve, and fight.

Once again Nanashi had been sent off on a job by his guild master named 'Ardere Kasai', those he was sure this would keep happening till he makes a name for him self. Then hopefully it could go on epic quests with other members of the guild. But, until then he would have to do these small questions with other mages. Those the last few jobs he had been on that could feel a little 'epic' those it still wasn't the same as fight along side your own guild mate. Nanashi hadn't been all that pleased with hearing that he had to go off with another person just find a dumb flower in some forest. That was till 'Ardere' had informed him that they were know to be many monsters within that same forest, as well as a giant beast that is know to be lurking inside there that no one has yet to see and come back with any information on it. Must would hope to never see the beast that is within the forest but Nanashi hopes it will be the first thing he finds within it.

At the request of the one that asked for two mages to get the flower for them, Nanashi had to go to meet with this person before going into the forest. Not quiet sure why, but it wasn't like the meeting place had been out of the way or anything. Making his way from the guild hall to a small hut that had a bench in front of it that had been on the outskirts of the forest barely. As he had walked out towards the hut, he happened to notice someone sitting on the bench. There were only two things that this person could be an that would be the one who asked him to come here or his teammate for this job. Getting a bit closer before speaking, had given him a moment to notice that sword he had on him. "So you most be the other mage and my teammate for this job. Nice blade you have there, can't wait to see how you fight with it, unless you are up to making some sparks fly right now." Nanashi had said with a grin on his face as he enjoyed the though go fighting another swordsmen. Drawing out his katana in case the reply from the man was a yes to the clash of blades as two warriors due battle against each other.

Had be closed his eyes and fallen asleep? No, surely not for the sun had not gathered enough energy to slumber its way across the sky. Yet why had it been so hard to rise up when another drew near?  His palm had pushed him upright, a slight thump had sounded when the bag swung gently into his side as his body had straightened out. Dressed primarily in red an unknown figured approached, they seemed to have been similar in age. The other mage and teammate, the stranger had an oddly nice way of saying that word, teammate. He hadn't gotten sappy over it or anything, but the use of the word indicated a little trust and intent on a healthy partnership and relationship. The use of other mage where he could have worded it differently had caused Lester to think that the other considered them both to be on equal standing ground with one being no lower or higher than the other.
His head had tilted to the side, weighed down by a softening smile. The day would go reasonably well, at least that had been his prediction.
Oh, how had he forgotten. A few steps taken aback his fingers had curled around the map, to forget a map would be a horrid death indeed. To die at such a low position in life with little knowledge of the world would have been a saddening moment for Lester.

This was a nice blade? Eyes flickered downwards, the glance took him visually over the simplistic sheath which had a handle sprouting from the end. Perhaps he had gotten a partner whom held an interest in blades and the such? With a slight dip of his head he acknowledge the kind remark, perhaps Lester did not know enough about blades, but the blade opposite him seemed to be of a higher quality, and the skill needed for such a professional blade had to be astonishing!
sparks flying now however sounded like a rather foolish idea to Lester, hair swayed a little as he shook his head. "It is nice to meet you, however I do think that we should leave any sparring till we have finished. For it would not do us to be delayed too long. A job in the daylight would be best."  Awkward perhaps, it hadn't been his intentions to sound a specific way, his voice had held steady, emotions both inner and shown on his face had been vibrant due to the appearance of another individual. Ah! How could he have forgotten, shoulders slid sideways as he offered a hand for shaking. Like a sweet spring blossom presented to the masses of bees, "My name is Lester Drynedi, You can call me anything I'm not fussy."

The nicknames he had gained over the past month alone was rather incredible, it had seemed that many adventuring types and non village folk took interest in giving others nicknames. For he himself had been given a great few from Flower Boy to Lessie. The dust had cleared from his sinuses however the scent of elderly and rot had not. The odd reminder of the shack behind him had come along again, a bird had landed on the roof of the structure. Its scraping claws had latched in like ivy and although he could not see it the sound of its scraping had been noticeable.
"Oh and the shopkeeper who requested the job is inside that shack when we're ready, although I would be warned that the room hasn't been cleaned in a millennium"

"Lets get on with the job then. So we can have a passionate match of our bladed souls lashing out in enjoyment and shown both of our warrior hearts!" Nanashi still had a grin of happiness while slowly re-sheathing his katana. Shortly after putting away his weapon and walking a little closer to the man before him, as he had noticed that the man hand reach out as a greeting. He had quickly down the same and shook hands with a very firm grip. "Drynedi, that is quiet an odd name. Those I don't have much room to speak because I don't know my own name. But I do go by the name of 'Nanashi' as of this time being." Nanashi had said without thinking of what he was saying to someone he had just met. Those when it comes to thinking he really isn't the one to do that kind of thing, unless it's during combat. After hearing that the shopkeeper had wanted them to go in side the place before setting off on their task. Honestly this idea an board Nanashi so much that all he did was blankly stare at Drynedi for a few moments. "You haven't talk to the shopkeep yet?" He had questioned the man before him, because it had seemed that he was hear for a while before Nanashi him self had shown up.

To be honest, Nanashi didn't care for wither Drynedi answer was yes or no. All he wanted to do was to go into the forest to fight the monsters and beast lurking within it. So as he normally did whatever he feels like, turned him self and started walking towards the forest. "If you haven't, then go ahead and speak to him or her. I can't promise that I won't take all the fun of fighting the things lurking within here. So you might want to hurry up!" Nanashi had said while waving the back of his hand towards the man that had now been be hide him. Once again a grin formed on his face as he reached over and drew out his katana. Lowing the sword down to his side as he had entered the forest alone for the time being. It was hard for him to keep the happiness of fighting these unknown monsters that he just started busting out laughing. Being as loud as he could be to draw out any of the things within the forest as soon as he could.

An odd individual indeed, a passionate match? Bladed souls lashing. The thought of a wonderful match seemed quite odd, matches and competitions. A deep feeling settled in his body, the thought of a pleasurable battle was unknown to the youth, were battles not drenched in hatred and fear? Uncertainty smiled across his face as Lester nodded back, "Let us focus on one thing at a time, it would be unwise to get ahead of oneself." It lifted him up slightly as the chuckle smoothly sounded from his mouth, the quiet sound had not seemed nervous however. His last name, had it been that odd? Drynedi indeed wasn't baker or cooper, Nanashi sounded rather adorable too. Thoughts of the origins of their odd names had stuffed his brain as if it were a dandelion, the sharp eyes which stabbed out from the others view had struck a chord within and woken him up from the days of dry sundays. "No of course I have, I tho-" Cutoff, being told to do what he had already done, lurking monsters with claws to maim, bac shivered as his feet had set off to walking. He had spoken to the elderly fool! But well, just like finding a four leaf clover he had wanted to share it! The youth hadn’t known that this swordsman wouldn’t want to speak to him too.

He hadn’t known which way to grow, swayed from one side to another deliberating over whether to apologize to the man or follow he had chosen the latter. A puppy whose owner had ignored him the mage followed behind  the male until the unexpected had appeared. A simple walk right, sneak into the evil forest, get the good and leave right, no need to fight. A laugh had erupted from Nanashi, for what reason had the swordsman done so. Apple red he glanced around, nothing seemed amusing, for what reason could he have laughed if not from amusement? “Nanashi why did you.. Something else is here.”  Brows had focused, knife drawn in one hand the boy forced himself to relax, fighting with pent up thoughts apparently would be bad; or so he had been told. The wooded area lived up to its name when he scanned around. Two shadows lurked, flitted in the trees, a third joined them. Had the laugh been on purpose.  “Three of them, they would need removing before collection of the flower happens.” Surely that flower would be interesting enough, it had been why he had taken this quest after all, the allure of an unknown flower, a rare flora, seen by few this chance had been timed perfectly. Like the rare flora it was he had to get the opportunity to discuss it before handing over.
