    Kite Wilhelm
Flames that were meant to protect now destroy.

After a late night of training followed by an even longer sleep in time Kite found himself famished and in need of breakfast so for the first time in a long time he was going to head down to the main guild hall where the members of the guild all gathered for jobs, food and an overall fun time. It wasn’t because he felt he was too important to be around his guild members or anything like that but with being a Guild Master he didn’t get much time to himself. If it wasn’t paperwork it was exams and if it weren’t either of those it was him training to stay in tip top shape both physically and magically so it was rare for him to mingle with his guildmates during the daytime but the paperwork was taken care of the previous day and he had also trained the previous afternoon so he was for the first time free from any sort of responsibilities.

Kite would set his hand on the handle of the guild master quarter's door and stopped as he started to pull and looked at closely at the doors that were just made, taking the place of the doors that were destroyed during the invasion of death. The doors were made from Ironwood with golden accents along the trim of the door creating unique designs and patterns. The most ornate part was the handle on each respective door was carved and shapes to look like the Sabertooth emblems. Kite would take the right door’s handle in his hand and pull opening the door and walking through into the familiar hallway heading towards the stairs that would take him down to where the rest of the guild had gathered. The demon slayer would take each step not stopping until he reached the bottom of the staircase but even then he wouldn’t stop, instead he would turn and head to bar counter to order himself something to eat. “How may I serve you today Master Kite?” The cheerful smile that Kite had upon reaching the counter faded away and would give an exasperated sigh before looked at the clerk in the eyes, ”I told you this already..“ he would start to say but would use his index finger to poke at the counter top ”Please don’t call me Master.” he truly hated the title of it all. Yeah sure he had no problem leading the Sabers and all but at the end of the day he was no different from anyone else there, he wasn’t even the strongest in the guild. However the girl would grin and turn her head “You are so silly Master. What will you be having today?” Kite would shrug, ”Right. I’ll take a breakfast burrito no meat extra egg and some coffee.“ She would clap her hands cheerfully “coming right up, Take a seat and I’ll bring it out to you.” ”Thanks.“ Kite would say before taking the closest seat at the bar and waited for his food to come out. Roughly five minutes had passed and Kite’s food was placed in front of him followed by the clerk pouring the black coffee into the cup that she set next to the plate of food.

The Sabertooth Guild Master would rub his hands together and would let a devilish grin grace his lips as his hands were rubbed together. ”Oh this is going to be good.“ he said as he reached down and plucked the burrito from the plate and opened his mouth to take a bit but would be stopped the sound of someone Shouting his name, “Master Kite! I finally found you!” He would sigh and put his food down and spin in his stool to face the young man who had a letter clutched in his grip. ”Here I am.“ he would say I enthusiastically before continuing ignoring the urge to tell him to not called Master ”What's So urgent that this couldn't wait until after breakfast?“ letting his eyes point towards the piece of parchment. The boy would take a deep breath “it’s from the magic council. I was told to bring it straight to you.” He held the envelope which coincidentally had the word Urgent stamped in magical ink. He would smile ”Let’s see what the penny pinchers want.“ he would trace a red hot finger across the top of the letter searing it completely open and slid the letter out and began to read it to himself. ”Attention Guild Masters of all guilds.“ his eyes narrowed, all guilds must have meant literally every guild including dark ones. ”Reports from our scouts indicate that an army of both demons and the undead encroach on the settlement of Peace Village. We urge that any able body send reinforcements and stop invaders. Speculation is and old and ancient foe is responsible for this attack.“ Kite would stand from his seat and pick the boy up from where he stood and plop him on the stool where the food was. ”Here free meal.“

Kite would retreat to his quarters and pace back and forth across the room contemplating on what he should do. On one hand he could ask Ryo if he would be interested in taking this on but he hadn't seen the S ranked ace for some time as well as he didn't wanna bring anyone else due to the difficulty that may come with this job. He could try on his own but an army didn't sound like it was an exaggeration and alone could prove fatal. ”hmm fatal… that's it!“ a brilliant idea would reveal itself and Kite approached his weapon rack and retrieve the wooden box that was placed at the top of the rack lifting the lid as he lowered it down below his chin to pull the singular item that inhabited the box. ”Now how did that chant go again.“he would pause pressing the coin to his forehead trying to remember but then placed the coin on his thumb. ”Unbekannt Geist, Ich rufe zu dich. Mich wer wünsche zu frei dich lassen. Überquere, deshalb Ich hilfe möge. Kommen zu mich. Zeigen dich selbst“ and would flip the coin into the air rotating round and round until it hit the ground and spun on its side permeating the room with the scent of death. ”Come to me Marcy"

    CLAWED MY WAY TO VICTORY

Ripples ran across the surface of the water that was encased in a bathtub, crashing into the walls that surrounded it. The bathtub was exotic in design: a black, marbled body, with golden legs that had a layout similar to Corinthian columns. Quite large on its own, the bathtub was big enough to be able to fit two bodies of varying size comfortably within its confines. It, itself, rested in a comparably vast room as well, one that had an indistinguishable scheme to the bathtub. With marbled floors a lighter shade of black to the tub and walls a fading hue of sickly grey, the room was fit for royalty. In fact, therein the bathtub, a voluptuous woman settled warmly underneath the surface of the pellucid liquid. Her hair was sprawled out around her, her eyes staring blankly up at the ceiling, bubbles rising to the surface from her nostrils.

Below the surface of the water, she appeared to be peaceful in nature, calm as though no storms raged through her mind. Slowly, the woman resurfaced, the water trickling down her head and shoulders as they rose into the chilling air. She reached up and pulled her hair out of her face, pushing it back so that it was plastered to her backside rather than blocking her vision. Marceline let out a huff of air and laid back against the marble of the tub, staring up at the ceiling as she soaked in the water. Her fingers played unconsciously with the liquid, swirling it around and sending ripples across its surface, playfully. With eyes cast down toward the water's depths, the woman watched the ripples of water in silence before they crashed into the wall on the other side. A sigh escaped her lips and she sunk back deeper into the water, to the point only her eyes were above the water's surface.

After a while, the woman sat straight up again, then rose to her feet, letting the water that coated her body drip to bottom. When she was partially dried, she stepped over the tub's edge and let her bare feet smack wetly into the flooring. Where she stepped, her feet left little, wet imprints, marking where she had last walked up to where she stood now. The door to the bathing room creaked open and a young servant stepped inside, carrying a freshly cleaned, white towel. "Thank you," her voice emitted into the silent atmosphere, breaking the quietness that had once enveloped her. Taking the towel from her servant, she wrapped it around her bare body, letting the water that still clung to her seep into its fabric. She then tended to her hair, pulling it up into a pony tail and twisting it, so that the water collected on the strands was wrung out.

Her reddened gaze cast down to the child that stood watching her, then to the floor where a puddle of water now laid. "Well, are you going to wipe that up or are you just going to let it waste away there?" she inquired to her servant. The child glanced down at the puddle of water, their eyes wide with realization at what Marceline was asking about. Instantaneously, the little boy collapsed to his knees and pulled out a small, dry rag that was meant for scrubbing dirt off the floor. "I apologize, Mistress!" he reprimanded himself, "I will tend to the puddle quickly, so that my liege does not hurt herself on it." He nodded vigorously to himself, which only made Marceline smile at the young boy's incompetent nature about his status. "Yes, that will do very well! You are a smart, little boy, and I expect a lot out of you, especially being your father's son."

With that being said, Marceline gave him a small pat on the head and stepped around him as he cleaned the floor. "Make sure that the entire room is spotless; I don't want to take another bath in here until I can see myself in the floor. Understood?" She paused at the door to the bathing room, staring down at the glistening handle and contemplating her next words. "The bathroom was disgusting when I came in here and I'm quite disappointed that whoever cleaned this room was shitty at their job. . . I guess I'll just have to find out who was tasked in taking care of this room and make sure they're reprimanded for the shitty job they did." However, a second thought had her removing her hand from the handle and tugging at the knot of her towel. "Oh, and I no longer need this towel; make sure that's cleaned and dried for the next time that I use it. Got it?"

Finished with her scolding toward the child servant, the woman let the towel drop to the floor and twisted the handle of the door. Pulling it open, a rush of chilling air washed over her, causing goosebumps to crawl along her skin that was exposed to the open air. She took a step out of the room, but that single step from her bathing room didn't take her into the hallway. Where Marceline stood now was the very room in which her lifeless body had been tossed into as a gift for Kite. Her eyes stared into Kite's for a moment, not recognizing where she was until her brain had finally processed the summoning. It was only then that she realized she was not clothed while standing in front of him, which led to a grayish blush in her cheeks. Paralyzed from embarrassment, Marceline simply stood there, not attempting to cover herself, let alone budge from her place.

She was still partially wet as well, droplets of water caressing her body until they plopped to the floor below with a soft splash against the wooden flooring. For once in her life, Marceline couldn't find the thought process that would allow for her to take action, but rather to just stare back at Kite.

    Kite Wilhelm
Flames that were meant to protect now destroy.

Kite was excited for one of two very big reasons, one was he missed her company despite how different their views were he enjoyed her company completely and the second was to be able to see her with different circumstances then what had happened during their last encounter. Kite’s mind wandered to when Marcy was dumped on the floor near death by his desk, presented as a “gift” from her father of all people. It's no secret that what had happened that day was a horrible thing, her on the verge of ceasing to exist, him losing his White Dragon Magic, being forced to accept a dangerous and deadly magic in exchange for giving Marcy have of his own soul and then having to accept the Gift from Asmodeus, the Flame Demon Slayer flames once again but he didn't regret any of it, Marcy was worth saving because of how much she meant to him so with all of that happening a job would be a nice change of pace and the prospect of surprising Marcy by making use of her coin would be icing on the cake as far as he was concerned.

It all happened in a flash at first there was no one before him and then in a flash of light there she was but there had been an error of sorts. Marcy certainly appeared standing eye to eye with the Sabertooth Guild Master, ”Long time no...“ he trailed off when he took notice of the discoloration in her cheeks and her almost panicked expression on her face ”What’s wrong?“ he asked but what had answered him first wasn't her voice but the sound of water dripping. Kite’s eyes went down to her feet where the water was dripping from and noticed her feet were bare just like the rest of her body. With eyes wide he turned around to face the other way not trying to catch a peek by accident. ”Uh I'm so sorry. I had No idea...“ he fumbled with his words. Had he know she wasn't dressed yet he would have waited but what was even worse was it looked as if he pulled her right out of the shower. Kite was beating himself up for this little oversight but then again this was the first time he had ever seen Marcy with no clothes on so a smirk crawled along his lips as he peered over his shoulder back at her still making eye contact with her, ”great view though.“ he would say before casually looking away and taking a seat at his desk. ”You must be wondering why I summoned you here so I'll cut to the chase.“ he looked at her again but couldn't help but let some color show in his cheeks, ”There is a job that popped that you might find interesting. I could also use some help on.“he paused and slid the flyer across his desk to let her read it but he would still give her the rundown, ”There is apparently an army of demons and the undead has surfaced and is making their way towards peace village and while I could possibly take my guild out for the fight something tells me that would cause more harm than good. “ he would smirk at her and would gesture with his hands with a wave towards her, ”I figured that between us two guild master we could handle the situation between the two of us.“ he would pause and give a wink he would let color flood his cheeks for a moment. ”but before we get started on this mission.“ he said backing away from his desk and approached lady death herself breaking past any personal boundaries, ”Something we gotta do first.“ he would say planting a deep kiss onto her lips as he picked her up around the waist and carried her towards his sleeping quarters.

Several hours later with the use of a teleportation lacrima Kite and Marcy would have arrived at peace village and what he saw was not surprising at all. All the homes had turned out their lights and shut their window shutters while some were boarded up. Foot carts toppled over with what was left of the products laid out across the ground. The local people were running around some exiting the village while others picked up the food on the ground and scurried to their homes like mice. ”Looks like we haven’t missed the excitement yet.“ he would say as he placed his hands on hips after his acute observation. A resident of the village noticed their arrival and came over to Kite dropping to her knees, “Oh thank god someone has come to defend us…” she would paused looking at Kite, at Marcy and back to Kite. ”What?“ he would ask ask the lady raising an eyebrow at her. “Will the rest of your army be joining you later?  ”There is no army, just the two of us.“ he would say to her, ”Not a problem is it?“ the question was as sharp as a knife and the lady held back her tears and shook her head “No not at all.” She stood up defeated and headed back to where she had come from. ”The rest of our army. We can handle this right?“ he would look over at Marcy as he asked. He didn’t doubt it. The two of them fought an onslaught of angels at one time and even defeated her father, the previous lord death. He saw no reason that the two of them couldn’t take care of them but then again he had no idea what they were up against here, perhaps an entire army was too much for them but he wasn’t about to change his mind. This was the only chance to take the army down before taking the rest of Fiore down with it. ”We don’t want to meet these undead soldiers in the village. You think we should meet them up ahead?“ he wasn’t sure what sort of terrain the battle would be on. Tactically it would be best to get the high ground or thin the numbers some how but that could wait, Kite headed in the direction that the army would be coming from to meet them but he was stopped by the sound of a small voice calling out to them, “Wait, oh please wait!” Kite turned to see the source of the voice was a small child who was no panting due to her sprint to catch up to the two mages. “This whole mess is my fault, my sister and I found this kitten lost and hurt and took it home with us. One night while we were asleep in our rooms the kitty… I mean the general crawled onto my sister's head and all of a sudden she had a mustache and spoke of conquering this world and now this is happening.” Kite shook his head, ”There is no way you could have known kid but why tell me this?“ she sniffled, “she is my twin, we go everywhere and do everything. Please stop the general but please save my sister!” Kite patted her on the head and looked at Marcy ”I think we can do that.“ he wasn’t sure if they could but he would certainly try. ”See ya kid. Ready Marcy?“

    CLAWED MY WAY TO VICTORY

Her mind was racing, filled with thoughts on what she was supposed to do, how she was supposed to react, but mostly on what to do. She could not take her eyes off of him, determined to not let him out of her sight while she was paralyzed by her own thoughts. One hand unconsciously raised upward and crossed over her breasts, hiding them away from sight while her other hand went down to cover her groin. Marceline's next unconscious instinct was to drop to the floor in a knelt position as a better way to hide her body. Raven-colored hair cascading around her body, shrouding little of what gray of her skin could be seen by the naked eye. Widened eyes still stared straight ahead at the legs of her soon-to-be job partner, but she was still muted from fear. It wasn't until she heard Kite's voice in her ears that brought her back to reality for just a brief moment in time.

She sat in the puddle of water that had been created by her body and hair, the cold water sending chills up her spine. Kite quickly realized his error in summoning her into the room of the Sabertooth Guild Master and turned around for her privacy. However, her mind wasn't in its right place to allow her the quickest movement to summon clothing to cover herself. So, she merely sat there, hunched over in a feeble attempt to hide away the private areas of her body from him. "N-noding's wr-wrong," she fumbled over her words, her eyes raising from his legs up to the red of his eyes. They quickly dropped back down to the floor though, unable to keep eye contact after her arrival in his room. The blush on her cheeks quickly returned when he complimented her physique, her head dropping slightly from embarrassment.

"Uhm, ja, I am vondering vhy you hafe summoned me, especially at a fery inconfenient time," she responded to him. "I am not dressed, as you can tell, und vould hafe liked a bit of varning before you randomly summoned me like dat." There was no actual way of contacting her before a summon, however, leaving it impossible to tell whether she was busy or not. Slowly, Marceline rose back to her feet, though still kept herself covered, and listened quietly as he spoke about the job. "I do not beliefe it ist an entire army; if it vas an entire army, zen ze job vould require a whole guild, not just two people. Ve may be guild masters, but two guild masters alone vould not efen be enough against an army of defils und undead." She was not doubting their prowess or strength, but rather that she doubted their numbers would be enough.

The conversation about the job wasn't much though, before the color on Kite's face became brighter and he grabbed her by the waist. Their lips pressed together and for a moment, Marceline wasn't sure how to take it, unaware of how he truly felt toward her. She didn't push away from the kiss, but she didn't exactly return it either, rather she let it be until he broke away. It was a feeling she didn't quite understand, couldn't quite come to terms with, but her stomach was fluttering with joy. Kite quickly picked her by the waist and she wrapped her arms around his neck for stability, being carried out of the room.

    - -

Marcy ran her fingers through her snarled hair, shaking it off her fingers slightly and combing a few of them out. Her gaze ran across the desolate town, over the boarded windows and the closed doors that hid the members of society. She was not certain what to think of this place, but there was no sensation of death that clawed at her skin if death was to be found. "I doubt we have; it looks like many have boarded up their homes to keep out whoever this devilish general is. The sound of feet smacking into the ground grabbed Marceline's attention and she turned her gaze to the woman heading toward them. Falling to her knees, the woman grabbed at Kite's pants and seemingly pleaded with joy and happiness that they were there. But she inquired about an army they did not have, and was dumbfounded as to why they had not brought one.

She turned and kicked dirt into the woman's face from off the ground, where dust had collect from the sudden lack of using the streets. "Ve are two guild masters, dumb voman, ve are able zu handle dis situation on our own; if you do not beliefe, leafe vhile you kann," she retorted. In spite of having said that they would likely not be enough for an army earlier, she had clearly lied to this woman. "Leafe us, child; dis ist no place für you in ze kingdom of ze dead, you are far zoo alife zu be taken just yet." The conversation between the woman, Kite, and her was abruptly ended and the woman scurried back onto her feet and away. Watching the woman leave their vicinity, Marceline wove her hand into Kite's, holding it tightly as they continued on their path. "Kiddy, dere ist zomeding I need zu tell you," she spoke up, though she hadn't gotten to say much before someone else interrupted them.

Her gaze wandered down to the child who had grabbed Kite's attention, pleading with him and explaining to him what happened to her sister. So, it was decidedly so that the general was not the little girl they were informed of it being, but rather the cat that was on her head. Marceline momentarily let go of Kite's hand to turn around and face the child, kneeling down to one knee to be eye level with her. "I vill make sure dat your sister comes out of dis alife; I do not vant anoder person zu experience vhat I hafe in losing a sibling," she spoke to her. She reached out and grabbed the girl's hand, who glanced from Kite to her and studied the woman's red eyes.

"She's all I got," the little girl stated, pouting slightly as she squeezed Marceline's hand and held it a moment longer before letting go.

"I know, und I understand; I cannot imagine vhat it felt like vhen my sister lost me dose dousands of years ago. So, I promise zu you dat ve vill get your sister back."

Marceline rose to her feet again and wove her hand back into Kite's, glancing down at the child who was slowly backing away from them. "Please, return zu your home, be safe; I do not vant zu see dis world lose zomeding as precious as you are." With that being said, her attention was drawn back to her job partner, a subtle silence washing over them as they were finally left alone. "I need zu tell you zomeding before ve head any farder into dis battle, zomeding dat may be useful in ze future for you. I vant you zu know dat if you efer run out of veapons oder you lose your veapon in ze midst of baddle, dat you should call upon me. You may not know it, but I am able to transform into weapons as well, so if you need a weapon, I am here for you." The woman gave him a small smile and squeezed his hand slightly, then pulled him along farther to meet the army of undead.

It was early in the morning and yet it was also starting to break into the normal time span of the morning because there were a few citizens sitting inside of the Silver Moon’s cafe section. Kazehime was sitting in that same general space, eating a very small cake with cherries on top, feeling herself become somewhat sickly at the same time she reveled from the delicious sweetness. Honestly? She hated having the stomach of a canine, she could not enjoy sweets in the same way everyone else could because most of them were toxic to her in anything above teeny tiny bites and forget anything containing chocolate! Even the extremely small slice of pie that she was currently enjoying, ran the risk of making her throw up and knocking her out of commission for the day, but some days she just could not resist. Today was one of the dates that she woke up alone and decided she needed something sweet to lift her spirits, so the pie was meant to do that even if it was not helping very much. The wind user just happened to be feeling lonely today because her apprentices were both out on jobs, Makoto was practicing to become a mage on her own, than Marschal was off drinking somewhere and she couldn’t be bothered to go sniffing him out when she was only half awake. Sighing out the Inugami dragged her finger through the whipped cream on top of her pie slice, plopping that same appendage into her mouth with what it had picked up, the texture strange against her rough overly wet tongue. The only thought that could penetrate her hazy brain was how she had thought this snack would taste better and be preferable to waiting for someone to grill up some meat for her, the fact she should have gotten cheesecake instead. Did they even serve cheesecake? She giggled slightly realizing it was bad she did not know that because she spent a good amount of time working behind the bar and the bakery case was not ridiculously far from there, it was within her poor sight range, yet she never bothered looking expect when she felt like abusing her own stomach. At this rate she was going to make herself sick so the female pushed her plate away, standing slowly with a slight wobble, heading to get something like a bowl of oatmeal instead. Why had she thought that variety would be good this morning anyways? She wanted to do work this week, and if she ate herself to illness there was no way she would be able to go off on jobs! Yeah, she definitely needed to start eating something that was better for her, something made of meat, or maybe peanut butter it was just as good as pumpkin. With her mind once more decided the wind user went and knocked on the kitchen door, asking for her order through it as the stoves were already on for the day thus eliminating her ability to go inside of the kitchen. Sometimes her fear of Fire could be a real pain in the ass.

Eventually, the chef had put together a nice little breakfast for the waiting canine. When he handed her the plate through the door? Her mouth watered seeing the cherries sitting beside roasted corn covered in peanut butter, the whole thing finished off with a slice of grilled bass, all things she could actually eat that tasted good! Of course, she would have to remove the pits from her favorite cherries before eating them, but she was smart enough to do that. “I need someone from Black Rose to accept this letter.” the canine’s elfin ears twitched slightly when she heard the comment, ruby gaze switching over slightly to see if she could spot who had made the comment. Did she really want to announce she was part of the guild and possibly have to interrupt her breakfast? As a blob started forming in her vision the wind user realized her stomach was exposed by her pajama crop top and the low waisted night shorts she was wearing did nothing to help any attempt of hiding her large guild mark. Why did she want it that damn large and on her stomach, one of the parts of her body that her magic almost never accepted her covering! Such a major oversight by her, but she really couldn’t change it now so she was going to have to be the one to take on this oh so important letter from some random mailman. His figure was finally clear as the taller male held the envelope with the council's seal on it towards her, Kaze accepted it reluctantly, scowling slightly as she looked at the back than the front, wondering if she should just take it right to Izayuki. “I need something fun to do anyways.” with the comment the wind mage chose that she would likely do whatever task was required by the council, since the mailman never did say that it was meant for the guild master it likely meant any member of the guild could do whatever the council needed of mages this time. With that thought in mind, the girl set the letter on the bar, beside her food as she pulled up a chair, leaving the piece of paper and message to sit for now. If she didn’t eat before reading it? Then who knew when she would next get the time since most council matters felt insanely urgent after you heard about them, Hime decided her food was the first objective so she would have the energy to fight monsters later on. Once she was finally done eating?  Jiyu opened the letter with her slender clawed fingers, the pad of her index finger tracing the seal to activate the magic that would play the letter. The female’s blood instantly ran cold as her crimson eyes processed what they were seeing as a whole, not even reading small parts, simply seeing it and realizing what the whole message was as the council person started speaking for any who were blind and could not see the glowing letters of what was requested of them.

No idea what she was doing the feelings welling up inside of her simply just took over her body as all four sides realized the importance of what the letter had said. A hoard of monsters was coming to attack and take over the world once more, and it would not have been any different from a normal day for the puppy if it had not been for the place they were gathering around! Jiyu tried to get her pounding heart under control as her labored breathing strained her body further, but the girl could not get anything in check with the information she now knew rushing through her head surely as the wind rushed through her long hair whipping it wildly. The monsters reported this time were concentrated and apparently aiming for Peace Village which was so rarely attacked, a place honestly Jiyu had thought could vanish from the map without her caring until the opportunity for it happen actually presented itself. Even after promising herself she would never go home for any reason, the female found herself racing back to the place she was born, flying swiftly as she could, heck she had not even bothered getting dressed before she left, that was how much of a shock to her system this was. Jiyu’s feet touched down on the dirt roads of the small village and she didn’t even notice how people stared at her right away, purple tail tucked between her legs as she gazed around, surprised she had the guts to come back here. What would people say to her, what would her father say if he saw her?! The wind blew and she saw lavender hair enter her vision, suddenly reminding her she looked nothing like she did when she had lived here, no one was going to recognize her, at least no one human. However, the fact no one could recognize her did not stop her from recognizing everyone else, knowing almost everyone she saw except for the youngest of the children. A girl running down the street towards some other mages with her blue hair tied up in high pigtails was what caught Jiyu’s attention the most because this child was alone when the canine remembered she had never been alone in the past. “Iris?” it was a whisper off the tip of the female's tongue as she watched the girl stop the two mages and thanks to her hypersensitive hearing, caught every single word of what was said. Kazehime couldn’t breathe at the thought of one of the two precious twins, Iris and Primrose being possessed by an evil spirit. While some things had happened bad during her mage career? This one hurt in a different way, it hit so close to home because this was home.

Jiyu walked up behind the child, trying to wait until the other two mages had finished interacting with the young girl before she placed her hand on the child's head. “Iris.” the other two seemed to have gone to do their thing, but she had to speak to the lonely twin first, she knew it was in her best interest to pass Iris up go tell the other two mages she was also here to help, but she just couldn’t. “Primrose will be alright.” the eyes of the child looked up at her shocked, mouth struggling for words. “We know you?” the risk of losing one’s sister was stressful and it was the best the unpossessed half of the duo could come up with. “You did once.” she nearly ran after saying that, entirely unwilling and unable to tell the child it was the girl who ran away in the middle of the night years ago. Part of Jiyu wanted to protect them, but the other part of her was afraid she had been forgotten.

The wind user was at a loss for words when she normally could easily speak, finally having caught up to the other two mages after a few minutes of searching them out via scent, her voice refused to work properly. Kaze knew she had to speak, there was no way they didn’t sense her and they needed to know she was there to help them with this, explain somehow the way she knew that they were likely here for facing the army. “Uh- I’m Jiyu.” she almost wanted to slap herself and that was evident on her face, how much she knew they didn’t need to know who she was just why she was here! “I overheard that you two are also here to take care of the army, I was in the village around the same time you two got in and I have a dog’s senses so-.” she had extra good hearing but she felt like she was overselling that right now. This time she felt she was screwing up, she would normally be confidently forcing her aid onto them, but even finding her own voice was next to impossible with the thought of the village being destroyed or Primrose being killed during the impending fight to protect it. Jiyu forced herself to take a deep breath, wishing this wasn’t affecting her the way it was. “Since I came to help fight the army anyways I figured joining forces with others would likely be best since most of my magic is ranged. Before I really offer to aid you two, though, I need to know. You're serious about saving Primrose right? She’s the possessed twin, I used to live in the village and quite honestly I don’t know if Iris would survive long if she lost her sister, they were always holding hands back then.” she might have been rather introverted when she lived in the village, but it was hard to miss twins who would not let go even while playing tag. Kaze sighed out slightly as she realized the fool she was making of herself here and decided silence was likely her best course of action. "Also the army is really close I can hear them walking." in fact she seemed unable to stop her elfin ears from twitching every few moments as if those appendages were marching with the approaching army, lavender tail still tucked between her legs.

    Kite Wilhelm
Flames that were meant to protect now destroy.

It would seem that Kite's decision was to summon Marshy to his aid in such an abrupt manner was obviously a bit of an inconvenience for her and she had even started to give him a small lecture about how he should have contacted her before summoning her. ”Hey don't blame me. I have no way of contacting you ahead of time. Also this is the first time we used this how was I supposed to know it didn't give a warning before summoning.“ He tried to hide it in his voice that he was annoyed by the fact that he was getting scolded for something that wasn't his fault but soon enough the situation went to a very positive experience.

Much to Kite’s surprise he wasn't the only one to console the little girl who was missing her twin. Marshy had also spoken to the child giving her the same promise that he did. He also now knew of not only Marshy’s family outside her dad but had a rough idea to what her age might be, a fact he would store in his memory for a exploration later, he wanted to know as much as he could about the last of death he nearly gave his life for. It warmed his heart and half of a soul, half residing within Marcy giving her life. Unfortunately the time of warm and tender feelings had passed and it was time to go face down the army that was bearing down on this peaceful village. It wasn't enough to have to deal with an army of dead and demon alike but now it appeared that the general leading this army was a little girl’s twin which meant he had to be careful dealing with the possessing general’s spirit. Things just couldn't be simple could they, coming in and laying waste to the army was one thing, there was no real life to worry about saving aside from those in the village. He didn't want to voice his opinion on the matter to much for fear of upsetting the little girl but he couldn't help but think how much easier it would be to just unleash all his fire power and be done with it. Strategy would have to play a major role once the fighting got started meaning it would be in their best interest to withhold their true power until the situation called for it. All of this didn't matter at the moment they would have to face the enemy before making a plan that could actually be effective. Kite was the first to start to turn and head towards the battlefield and fully turned but was stopped by the sound of a new voice that didn't belong to Marcy or the little girl who was just here. Kite would turn to see a girl younger than himself  looking at the two of them. She introduced herself as Jiyu and shared that due to her dog like senses, she was able to listen from a distance and learned that they were in the village to take out the army that threatened the village. Kite continued to listen as Jiyu further explained that she was there to combat against the army as well and stated that joining their cause would be the best course of action due to her own abilities being particularly limited by range but her true offer was withheld and completely dependent on if their intention to save the possessed little girl was true or not.  Kite crossed his arms in front of his chest before speaking, ”As serious as you get. As a demon slayer I can't let someone remain under possession especially a little girl.“ he would say to the girl sharing that their intentions of saving the girl were genuine, ”That being said however this general seems to be a powerful possessor, and while we have every intention and will do everything within our power to save the possessed… I mean Primrose, I can't be certain that's possible until the battle starts.“ he put his arms down to his side ”If that answer is good enough for you to join our ranks then welcome aboard. Either way it would be best we head out to scout the battlefield.“

Kite headed out with the two others after conversion with Jiyu to the valley like habitat with ledges all around as well as an open area for a literal battlefield. After looking at the area extensively Kite had some ideas, ”Looks like at certain points ahead of the valley walls are closer than in other spots.“ he would look back at Marcy who mentioned earlier that if there was a legitimate army it would take more than the two of them to beat them, he figured that still stood even with Jiyu joining up. ”There are vantage points all along the valley for Jiyu to take cover and rain down… whatever her magic is on them from above. Where the walls are closer we could cause several rockslides and really hinder their large numbers. We got this.“ he said confidently and was meant for Jiyu to hear as well.

It was after that moment he felt the presence of something strong heading their way across the the other side of the valley, it was enough for him to snap his head in the direction where he felt it and there it was. He could see on a horse was the little girl Primrose and in front of her was a small army of undead and demonic beings. He looked at Jiyu ”Go find a high position and stay hidden. If they don’t see you then you can snipe them when they least expect it.“ Kite knew he would have to distract the general while Jiyu did this.  ”I didn't expect you to come so soon.“ he shouted to the general who responded, “and I didn't expect anyone foolish to oppose me. I was beaten once but that won't happen again. I never lose twice.” Kite could hear the generals over confidence and knew he could play that to his advantage. ”Don’t worry pal. I promise there won’t a be a third time for you.“ he said while pointing at the general with his left hand while placing his right hand behind grasping Reaper’s handle. “ You have no army and only two of you. This will end quickly and then your spirits will join my ranks. The General pointed down at two of his special warriors and sent them in at Kite and Marcy. Kite met their charge and ran towards the one that was targeting him. This one had a Kite shield and a one handed war hammer in his left hand. Kite let pulled his weapon from his back and pulled the trigger extending the blade of the sword out and swung out horizontally which the warrior blocked with his shield and immediately retaliated with his hammer bringing it down vertically looking to scramble Kite’s brains. Kite side stepped in the direction of the shield letting the hammer slam into the ground. Kite would spin 180 degrees towards the left and turned his wrist so the blade of the sword was outward and slashed at his hammer arm. The warrior then bashed into Kite with his shield making him stumble back enough to give the warrior room to run and charge at him. Kite used his fire rocket spell to propel him up and over the shield taking the back of the warrior and smirking. With his left hand balled into a fist burning with a blue flame ”Flame demon’s demolition fist.“ he threw a giant sized fist into the warrior throwing him forward onto his shield sliding down on a small slope on the valley floor. He waited for the Warrior to stand up but he had a nice surprise for him. While waiting Kite adjusted his stance so he was standing sideways, with his sword in his left hand now Kite had his right hand back and let flames pour out from both sides of his hand but soon the intense flames compacted on itself and eventually created the shaft of a spear burning blue and strong. ”Flame Demon’s Purgatory spear!“ he threw the spear of fire and watched as it pierced through the back of the warrior and then caused an explosion sending creating a massive wound on the it. ”There, Now i am warmed up. Let’s have some fun.“

It was quite obvious from the glare that the general was shooting Kite as well as the snarling sound coming from the enemy commander that the destruction of his men wasn't what he was expecting at that moment. Kite not one to lose an opportunity to taunt shot the little girl with a strangely fabulous looking mustache a grin, ”Give up the girl general. You still have a chance to rest in peace.“ A dark aura began to flow from the girl and with a swipe of her sword a wave of dark energy shot out at the three mages. Kite didn't see what happened however all of a sudden he was alone against this army of the undead. "I will give you a chance for complete and total unconditional surrender otherwise I shall reap you of your soul and you shall join my military might as I decimate this village as well as the rest of Fiore." Kite's own azure colored aura flared to life around him so brightly that the his red colored eyes reflected the light giving off the impression that his eyes were glowing, ”If you want to get to the village you will have to go through me.“ he would swipe his hand behind him creating a long line of fire, clearly the line he would not let any of them cross. "Very well fool. Forces advance!" and so they did, twenty adversaries came to meet Kite on the field of battle, fourteen of them were the spectral warriors while six more came from the opposite side looking to pincer him. ”This won't be easy.“ he held his sword out in front of him letting it point at the small army coming at him. He would wind turning his hips and body while pointing the sword now ninety degrees to the right from where it was at first. ”Fly.“ in one fluid motion he torqued his body and launched the large blade the group to his left. The sword struck hard knocking three down pinning them due to the weight of the blade but it was a distraction for the rest of them as the pincer still came in on him. Kite conjured his flames and stood his ground with his hands at his sides in fists tense. He closed his eyes and once the group was on him he released his flames in a snap, ”Flame Demon's Eruption “ and a flare of flames snapped to life and caught all of those near him in the burst of flames. Those who weren't caught pressed on and mounted an offense with one of the warriors attacking from the front with a war hammer, Kite caught the blow but still felt the impact, his grip tightened on the top of the hammer and he pulled the warrior off his feet and swung him by his hammer into one of his comrades. With an opening presenting itself he went for the big guns. ”Flame Demon's Rage!“ and he released a plume of flames from his mouth catching two of the soldiers in the blast but only to be stopped by three ghosts shoulder to shoulder with round shields acting as a three men phalanx. They tossed their shields to the side due to the metal melted beyond use and while that was a good thing to know this battle was going to be endless for him. ”I will bring all of you down to hell even if I have to go down in flames with you all!“ he declared flaring his hand forward releasing a wide wall of flames ”Flame Demon's Purgatory Wave“ he sent it into the shieldless foes and he did damage but a sudden pain in his left shoulder shot through his nervous system. ”Gah“ he looked to his stinging shoulder to see that an arrow's broadhead was poking through to the front. ”Shit. Not good.“ he looked the spear and sword users getting closer to their prey. ”Really not good.“

So you can throw me to the wolves
    Tomorrow I will come back
    Leader of the whole pack
    Beat me black and blue
    Every wound will shape me
Every scar will build my throne

Wind fluttering the fire mage's long brown locks, Ardere soared high above the sky on a majestic crimson bird. Flying above the mountains leading to the Peace Village, the samurai found himself answering a call. A message had been sent out regarding a powerful demon army making its way towards the small village. That would just not do. He could not allow this battalion of the dark and undead to ravage the small town, or the rest of Fiore. Although he grew curious as to who else had been called upon to assist, that did not matter right now. Making his way towards the legion atop his phoenix Ember Celica, he unsheathed the red blade known as Clarent. Twirling the sword between his fingers, he clutched the handle tightly. Death gripping it high above the ground, he kept the weapon close. Looks like I'm at it again. Taking a deep breath, pale fingers removed a strand of hair blocking his eye sight.

Peering down below, he could see little black dots off in the distance (presumably the army) moving towards the village. The samurai also spotted a powerful flame attacking the presumed legion. Finding this odd, he knew only one other fire mage who was powerful and crazy enough to be out here. Hopefully he was correct in this assumption. Let's begin our descent, Celica. The blazing phoenix covered in red and orange feathers nodded, and began to descend down towards the area where he spotted the flames from. Now that he was closer, the familiar scent was quite evident now. Knew it. It was none other than his old friend and fellow guild master, perhaps his closest ally outside of Infinity Hydra. The hordes of undead and demons did not look so happy, as if they ever did. It always seemed like the Fire King got himself involved in ordeals related to demonic entities. He just couldn't catch a break. But it was not necessarily a bad thing, while he did not enjoy the pain and suffering of others, fighting evil forces was something he took pride and joy in. After all, he was inspired to start a guild due to such events.

Celica's flight speed increased drastically, the wind causing Ardere's hair and cloak to flicker rapidly. The bird's flames flickered as well, as she cawed loud enough to pierce the ears of a nearly deaf man. We're almost there. Brace yourself. Gripping the chain tied to her with all of his might, he avoided falling. The two dove right towards the army, while the guild master slashed a stream of fire into the ground beside one of the undead squads. This stream of fire caused the ground to erupt, gargantuan blades composed of pure flames burst from the ground. Flame God's Scatter! The black flames obliterated all in their path, destroying any living or non-living thing in their way. God slaying flames formed of pure corruption and darkness tended to do this, turning even the ground black with corrupt energy. As this happened, the blades of fire pierced several of the enemies. Leaping down from the phoenix, he landed a few dozen meters away from Kite. You looked like you could use some help! He called out to his old friend, now noticing the young girl who's magical presence was far too powerful for her age. Who was this girl?

And while you are sitting indoors
waiting for the storm to pass
I will be outside dancing in the rain

Of course Astrid would be one of the first people to answer the plea for help from this small village. Why? Because it was the village which she grew up in, of course. Not the village she was born in granted, as that went to Mountain Village. But honestly Peace Village might as well have been her place of origin, since the elf had spent most of her life within these peaceful grounds. In her mind, it was her home village, and held a special place in her heart. It was the place she discovered her love of music in, it was the place she grew up beside Lucius and Jiyu, and mostly importantly it the the place that took her in when her mother could no longer take care of her.
So of course, when she had heard from the magic council that it was being threatened by some sort of maddened general the wizard saint wasted no time in running over. Literally. She ran all the way from Oahu to here in little under an hour. There was no way in hell she would take any other means of transportation. Thanks to being a dragon slayer she suffered from the nasty side effects of motion sickness. Plus trains and cars would have been way too slow. By the way the council had told her, they didn't have a lot of time left before this general and his army made their way to the village. So, what was faster than light speed?
The slayer cut through fields and roads encased in her usual blur of silver light, shredding through a few fences or walls too whenever one was in her way. There was nothing stopping this girl from getting to her home as fast as she could. Was her grandfather okay? What about all of her friends there? The suffocating feeling of worry in her chest kept her energy fueled, and eventually, she reached the familiar edges of the village. But even then she did not slow. Instead, she forced herself to go even faster, seeing the undead army in the distance. Thankfully, it looked like they had not reached the village quite yet. But even still, it did not mean they were out of trouble just yet. Their advances would not stop just because of her presence, she would have to stop them herself. With force.

With not even a breath out of place or a movement wasted Astrid ran right in towards the army, allowing her arms to cover themselves in a magical silver glow. "White Dragon's Wing Attack."
She disappeared into the spectral group with a mutter of those words, only until a split second later when the silver light flared up and sliced the entire group in half. The ghosts all screeched in a piercing tone before disappearing in a blue mist, leaving only Astrid in the middle by herself. "I won't allow any of you to reach my village" she spoke softly. Not so much to anyone around her, as mostly to herself.
The young silvernette's purple gaze traveled out across the ground in search of the next group of soldiers for her to obliterate, tracing the army's soul energy with her senses in hopes she could find this general and take him out to end this as quickly as possible. Normally she would be all about strategy and thinking before swinging her sword about. But with something so precious on the line she would not have time for such a thing.

    Kite Wilhelm
Flames that were meant to protect now destroy.

The pain in his shoulder was real, the threat before him was even more real. He could have done the smart thing and retreated when his two comrades for the fight suddenly vanished but if he had left Peace Village would be reduced to rubble and that the General’s army would only grow. ”Thinking of such silly things is pointless. I made the right choice.“ he was on one knee and the arrow still stick through his shoulder but he was able to will himself up off the ground despite the pain radiating through his shoulder. Past the army sat the general on his horse and still in control of the little girl, he was the key to ending this war but Kite was faced with a different approach compared to how this started. ”I might not be able to save the little girl after all. I incinerate everything and that could stop the army altogether. To get there might be suicide but I just need one shot.“ his right hand twitched and a thin line of fire began started form in his hand, his purgatory spear would be able to give him range and give him a shot without losing his life in the process but he needed to get closer which means he would need to push himself through the ranks of the army to do so but just as he was going to there was a sudden burst of heat. He would look up to see a familiar ship and an even more familiar black flame striking the ground and soon erupted all over the battlefield skewering several of the enemies in front of him. A smirk creeped on the face of the demon slayer and he looked over at the God slayer who had landed several meters away from him mentioning he looked like he could use the help. ”What ya talking about? I was just getting warmed up.“ he said in a cocky manner but then looked out at the army. ”Well since you are here to help I guess I had better give you the nitty gritty of the job then. You see that girl with the strange cat on her head with the mustache?“ he asked as he pointed over to the person of interest. ”That is the current leader of this army so we take them out most likely the army will follow.“ His pointer finger then pointed over at the Flame God Slayer and pointed to the sky, ”The only catch is that she isn’t the target, she is merely possessed by the spirit of the general so if we simply kill the general we also kill her too.“ he narrowed his eyes and looked at the girl who was coated in a dark aura but everyone could see this but he could see the demonic aura. ”i’d personally like to avoid killing the young lady, if I get close enough I should be able to exorcise the demon from the girl.“ he stated his plan to Ard and then something else happened.

A blurr of silver light passed right by them and into the center of the army slicing a number of them right in half each one of the spectral soldiers that was hit by this light screeched in pain and was reduced to nothing. At first Kite didn’t know what it was that had happened but shortly after the light obliterated the soldiers he caught an all too familiar scent. ”Ginger tea...“ he looked out onto the battlefield and saw the long flowing silver hair of non other than Astrid. ”Well look at that. I’d say we might be able to pull it off now.“ he looked at Astrid and watched as she scanned the battlefield in front of her. The Spectral warriors weren’t struck by fear but kept moving onwards to the Light Dragon Slayer. ”Fire Rocket!“ a burst of blue fire surrounded him and like what the spell is named he took off like a missile and was in the air above the Light Dragon slayer and the swarm of Soldiers that was just ahead of her. ”Flame Demon’s Inferno  Destroyer!“ In an instant a huge sphere of blue colored fire was held above his head and launched it with all his might into the horde of spectral scouts and warriors and obliterated those hit with the sphere and then caught many more in the explosion that occurred after the fact. The fire rocket gave out and Kite dropped down near his fellow guild master, ”You’re a sight for sore eyes.“ admitted to her that help was needed. ”but I doubt you are here to help me out so can’t help but wonder what brought you out here.“ he said to her wondering if she was even in a talking mood. Considering her choice to smash through the opposition he didn’t think this was the case but it couldn’t hurt to ask.
