Bully the Bully (Job, Solo)

Takumi was in Magnolia for a job he had picked at random from the board, something about teaching a bully a lesson. All he had to do was scare the kid off, right? A simple job, which is why he had picked it. He just needed a few more jobs to do, just a few more, before he would try to rank up furthur. He was ready, he could feel it. As he walked up to the location of the job, he was hardly even thinking of what he was actually doing. He just needed to scare the kid and get out. Simple. Easy. He repeated this to himself as he looked around for the Bully he was supposed to scare, unable to find the little brat at first. It took him a few minutes, but he found the kid, torturing some ants. How delightful. This was going to be fun.

Takumi walked up to the kid, intending to stand there until the brat noticed him and said something. He stood there, looking at the kid, until the brattish creature finally looked up. "Who are you? Shorty!" Were the first words that came out of the kid's mouth. Takumi growled under his breath, and glared at the kid. "I'm here to show you what happens when you bully others, kid. Now look here, and look closely. In a second, I'm going to do something to that plant beside You, that's what I do to people who like to bully." He said, making sure the kid was paying attention before he did it. The next second, he had set the plant on fire, and the kid was staring at the now burning plant with wide eyes. Clearly, the idea of being set on fire was not a pleasant one. The kid screeched, not wanting it to happen to him.

The next thing that happened was pretty much what Takumi had expected the entire time. "Nooooo! Don't hurt Me! I'll be good, I promise!" He wailed, as Takumi stood there, just watching. He knew all along one fireball was pretty much all it took on jobs like these, and waited for the kid to finish before he spoke.

"Kid, if you want to go far in life, picking on others isn't the way to go. The best thing to do is to go apologize, and maybe they'll forgive you. But if you go through life stepping on others, one day somebody will come step on you. And trust Me, if that happens, you'll fall, hard." Takumi said, the entire time looking at the kid to make sure his words were getting through. The kid nodded as Takumi stared at him, that blue gaze seemingly staring into his soul. He had gotten through to the kid.

Takumi helped the kid up after his little speech, and stopped the flames from spreading any more now that their purpose had been served. All that he needed to do now was take the kid to go apologize and swear to stop the nonsense, and Takumi could go home and sleep for a bit. "Kid. I'm taking you to go apologize, so come with me and this whole thing will stop. Promise." Said Takumi, starting to walk away. The bratty kid followed reluctantly, to the spot where Takumi's client was waiting for him. The kids both looked sullenly at each other, neither one wanting to go first. "Kids, the faster you talk, the faster we can all leave. So please just make up, okay?" He said, giving a stern look to both kids. Neither kid made any attempt to speak, which made Takumi sigh. Stubborn little brats, these kids. Neither one wanting to admit they were wrong.

"Listen up you stubborn brats. Either speak and make up, or you guys can both learn just how much fun being set on fire is." Threatened Takumi, causing two squeaks to emit from the kid's mouths. Neither one wanted that, so the kids began apologizing and making up, under the watchful eye of Takumi. They managed to resolve the issue with a few insults, and lots of glares from Takumi. Finally, the job was over. It had been short, but sheer annoyance made Takumi want to go home and sleep for a bit as he accepted his meager payment of 100 jewels. Was it really worth it? Maybe not, but a job was still a Job, right? As the mage walked away, he looked at the kid's, who appeared to be tossing insults back and forth, and began walking faster, lest he be dragged into it again. All he was going to do was go home and sleep.
