It was a bit of a gloomy day on the Eran landscape as fog had covered most of the plains surrounding the capital of Fiore. There, on top of a large hill amidst it all stood a peculiar couple. A seemingly old man way beyond his prime in a military outfit of foreign design, and a duck. Now most wouldn't have thought much about the duck, but Casus, the second half of the unlikely duo knew that it was a shapeshifter. 'it' being used because even in human form Casus had a bit of trouble identifying it as a male or female. His wrinkles showing and with a face of no emotion Casus quietly cursed his luck being paired up together, but he felt he had no choice. He was lucky enough to have made a brokering deal about upping the rewards for both of them, because no matter how the duck looked, he was from a very prominent guild and if they hadn't teamed up the job would have most certainly gone it's way.
Looking down on the duck, and then towards a sparsely populated plain of trees he pointed towards one patch of vegetation that was particularly thick, and where one younger boar could be seen scouring the edges. ''I've been looking for a while and that seems to be where our goal is.. now we don't know each other but let's at least make the deal that we're watching each other's back.. as far as that's necessary''. The comment might have seemed a bit suspicious for most people, but Casus wasn't used to anything less than treachery, and this duck would be able to claim the entire reward if he'd turn a blind eye when things got tough. But, against all doubts Casus put a bet on the fact that duck's might not be as corruptible as men or women, even chuckling at that silly thought.
The job was quite simple in nature, and Casus wasn't planning on going through some kind of battle plan with the duck, they get in, hunt the beasts, and get out. And since the whole 'hunting' part had been done at this point all that was left was killing the animals. Casus walked down the hill and towards the larger patch of vegetation with a sigh, wondering if the duck thought of fellow animals as his kind or humans. Not that it mattered.
Lineage passive: 50% jewels gain for both Casus Belli and Duck
