- Job Information:
- Job: Afternoon Freakout
Rank: C
Player Requirements: Thread must be at least 20 posts long. C Ranked Wizards or Above. Or a combination of two D Ranked Wizards or more. 250 Words Minimum Each Post.
Job Requirements: Stop the paranoid Wizard and his cronies from attacking civilians in the market. Stop him before he's able too harm or kill 15 people. Must defeat ONE group of Henchmen or Cocky Fire Wizards and either the Insane Fire-Make Wizard, or the Mind Wizard. 3 wizards Max Allowed on this Mission / Job.
(Note: If you roll for the Mind Wizard and he appears, the Insane Fire-Make Wizard's spell will be broken, and he will flee the scene in horror of what he's done alongside any Henchmen, or Cocky Fire Wizards, who will also be freed from the spell, as the Mind Wizard is interested in fighting you with no help, on his own.)
Job Location: Oak Town
Job Description: A wizard is loosing his mind slowly, but surely in Oak Town. You've arrived on the scene shortly after a mission was hurriedly posted on the board. For the past few days, a Fire Wizard has been heading too the market with his band of wizards and attacking innocent civilians, claiming that they're Demons. It would appear that he's under some form of enchantment or spell that's controlling his mind. He still has his intelligence and still, he and his minions are a huge threat too those around them.
(Note: At the end of each round, he will roll a random Fire spell against a nearby group of civilians, a single civilian, or a shop / establishment. If you roll a miss, it misses. If you roll an attack, it lands and you loose 1 out of the 15 individuals you're supposed too protect.)
(Note: The name of the Wizard, and or his group of cronies is up too you.)
Enemies:
Weak: Henchmen Fire Wizard x3 (These guys use D-Ranked Fire Spells, mostly Fire Balls and Fire Streams that don't do too much damage. They can catch things on fire however. They go down in usually one hit, two at the most of any rank.)
Normal: Cocky Fire Wizard x3 (These guys use C-Ranked Magic, and are very skilled. They sling AOE fire spells at you, along with normal fireballs and fire streams. They take four C-Ranked hits each too defeat.)
Strong: The Insane Fire-Make Wizard (The source of the problem. A young wizard with a long blue coat with red runic markings on it. He has face length blue hair that sweeps around his face, with a deranged look and a constant toothy smile that just screams "I'm insane.", he uses a plethora of C-Ranked spells at rapid speed, and has a B-Ranked AOE fire spell that will deal incredible damage if you're hit by it. At the end of every turn, he rolls a "Damage Die" too see if he harms / kills one civilian or a nearby building / establishment. Takes 15 C-Ranked hits too defeat.)
Boss: Mind Wizard (The REAL source of the trouble in Oak Town, this guy brought the Insane Fire-Make Wizard under his control with his magic, so beware. He's a force too be reckoned with. If he appears, he will attempt too bring the civilians under his mind control, and force them too attack you. He uses Darkness-based magic along with his psychic abilities. Each round, he rolls a "Damage Die" if he misses, then he doesn't bring anyone under his control, if the Attack goes through then a group of civilians will attempt too impede your fight against him. Takes 20 C-Ranked hits too destroy. Will shield himself with Darkness-based magic, and strike with blasts of Shadows, and cause whipping shadows too jump from floors/walls/alleyways. Is very quick, and can have clouds of darkness lift him off the ground too get aerial and fight from rooftops. Good luck. His spells are C-Ranked, and B-Ranked.)
Reward: 5000 Jewels

Re: Fire Invasion?
Ruvel had been at the job board within his guild not that it meant much the words just looked like strange scribbles to him. 'You're going to have to get help with this eventually dear one.' Edaenz said in a warm tone through the bond she had with her summoner making him sigh in frustration, it wasn't exactly like he was to prideful to request the help, if anything it was quite the opposite he was to ashamed to ask for it as he was sure that even a five year old though still learning to read could do so more efficiently than himself. 'Eventually...' he sent back knowing it was true but he still didn't feel quite at ease within the guild hall or with the people that where to be his family. He blinked seeing that someone came in rushing to put something on the board, tilting his head for a moment he was confused but moved out a hand to grab the person scratching his head. Even with his weakness in strength he managed to prevent the person run given their exhaustion "I don't mean to bother you, but what's wrong?" he asked in his normal stoic tone his amber eyes glowing dully.
The person stood up gasping for breath "No, it's fine I could do with the break given I'm been running all day" he admitted between pants "What's wrong?" he asked his eyes going to the flyer for a moment hoping that he could get the information from the source rather than flounder at the job board like he had been for hours. "Oak Town has seemingly been infested with fire mages, they're trying to destroy the place but they're not giving demands" he said having caught his breath "Isn't that counter productive?" he said watching as the person ran off without answering his question, with a sigh "At least I know my next destination" he said to himself as he walked out, he remembered Oak Town as it was the place he met the man that changed his fate and told him about guilds after he had caught him even if it meant his pets had pretty much destroyed the place hunting him down. "I doubt I'll be a wanted sight after then but better than crazed fire mages" he said finding a wide opening "I ssannnnhan thi nnh tshh gairrtiin flinness shaf rredirrtsh" he said taking a step back hearing the boom and the screech that came with Bennu's arrival.
The large golden coloured phoenix landing knocking him off his feet, it hurt as he landed on the floor but he was use to it given the size of his companion. "You're gonna knock me back a few miles when your fully grown" he said standing dusting himself off walking to the large bird, reaching out a hand he caressed Bennu's neck and head "We need to go to Oak Town, you can't enter you would burn the trees" he said gently hearing the loud cheeping before chewing on Ruvel's hair and grabbing the back of his clothing knowing his summoner's thoughts on what he seen as fake freedoms. The instant Ruvel was placed on Bennu's back the giant golden bird took off with a sonic boom. Ruvel often wondered if it bothered the others not that he would stop calling on the young phoenix for help.
Within an hour he could see Oak Town "Lets set down close by Bennu" he said stroking his neck, his voice was shaking but he was trying to concentrate on his companion to ignore his own fear and panic. Soon Bennu set down nestling down almost like he was sun bathing allowing Ruvel to slide off, as normal he moved to the other's head stroking his head and neck "Go home Bennu, you're mother is likely worried" he said taking a few steps back Bennu stood and instantly took off with a sonic boom. "I think I should wait a little, most likely there will be at least one more mage coming to handle this since it would be a high priority for the magic council to get this sorted. "Should I be wearing my mask?" he asked himself with a sigh unsure about the mask rules, it was something that he would have to ask when he returned "I don't think there's any need for it since it's not underhanded" he whispered to himself not wanting anyone to overhear given how much of a secret that side of his guild was.

Re: Fire Invasion?
There's a long silence and then a scream, no not a scream more like a shrill. A spine shattering shrill that would make the strongest of mind shiver in their clothes. The loud noise resonated all long the darkness for what seemed like hours and then as if cut from existence it instantly cut off and disappeared. Then out of the darkness rose a figure the size of three buildings with a body of smoke and piercing red eyes. The beast lets out a roar that shakes the very earth but that,s not what worries him. what has him worried is that it headed right towards him and no matter how much he tried he couldn't until it was too late it reached out and in a second......
He shot up instantly looking around. Shinokage and Fenrir had decided to take a morning nap outside of the guild for a while and then take on a job. He inhaled deeply and and stood up looking around. The sun was bright in the sky and there wasn't a cloud for miles. Seconds after he got up so did his large companion Fenrir. the large wolf stood up and yawned widely. Shino sighed and placed a hand on his blade that was at his side at all times. He then cracked his neck and began walking
towards the next town over were he was told to look for a group of rogue assassins who were on the verge of starting a war with the soldiers of the town. He and Fenrir took the job mainly out of entertainment. The job was a town over from oak town which was only few miles off from were they rested. They began their walk towards the town but before they got to far a shadow past overhead that seemed to be heading directly towards the town. Shino quickly jumped onto Fenrir and they shot at full speed after the shadow in the sky.
After a while they slowed down near the edge of the city looking out onto it. The shadow had landed just around there."I smell burnt chicken." Fenrir's voice pops into Shino's mind and makes him falter and even almost smile. They slowly make their way toward were the shadow landed. A few minutes later they were crouched in bushes looking at a guy who was talking to a Phoenix. The Phoenix flew away and and left the masked man alone. They took this as a sign to approach the wizard slowly. He and the giant black wolf emerge from the shadows and walk up to the wizard. Shino places a hand on his blades hilt,"excuse me.",is all that Shino says to get the mans attention. He and Fenrir stood at the ready just in case this was an enemy although his senses told him otherwise.

Re: Fire Invasion?
Ruvel turned to look at the man that had walked up behind him and tilted his head to the side looking to the wolf for a moment "So far mostly everyone I've met has had a wolf, at least yours looks normal" he said with a stoic tone before his slightly glowing amber eyes moved to look to the wolf's companion. "Why are you needing to be excused?" he asked the other not really understanding why such a thing had been said "Umm..." he didn't know what exactly to say he was odd around new people given that his past, he was still somewhat at odds with those within his guild and he was suppose to be getting closer to them than remaining at arms length "Are you a mage too?" he asked after a few minutes of thought, he knew doing this by himself was bound to be a challenge but he'd be able to do it, with a bit of help it would be done much faster.
"I'm a member of the Fiore Trading Company, I heard there where fire mages running rampant here so decided to lend a hand, my name is Ruvel" he said placing his hand on his chest bowing like a nobleman to another thinking it was best to introduce himself and be on good terms with the other as they begin this venture. Turning his left hand around so his palm was facing upwards he brought up the arm sleeve showing the symbol of the Fiore Trading Company to show he wasn't lying about such a thing as he would be wanting to see the others symbol if he had one. He couldn't help how he was on trusting people given how he was raised it was only normal for him to have the 'Don't trust anyone' mentality, at times he had issues trusting his own summons and they where the ones that protected him from everything.
"I don't know if you have heard what is going on here, but it seems like insane fire mages want to burn down Oak Town; if you're here to help we need to stop them... if not I'll have to deal with you first" he wasn't an aggressive person, there was no real way for him to be given his weaknesses but he felt a bit more compelled to help Oak Town given his last visit here had left it more than a little worse for wear. He would wait for now to see what the other said and done but given that he had his hand on the hilt of his weapon and he could see the wolf ready to pounce he figured that these people where likely the type to hit first and ask questions later so he was glad he took the path that he did but it didn't stop him from thinking that the other could be an issue he could really do without for now.
