How many players can join in a topic?: 2-5 players may sign up per topic, but you may not have multiple of your own characters in the same topic. There is no limit on sign-ups, meaning everyone will have a chance to do the event. You may only do the event job once per character.

D: 500 words per player.
C: 1000 words per player.
B: 2000 words per player.
A: 3000 words per player.
S+: 4000 words per player.
Where: Fat Monster Land.
Synopsis of Event/What's going on:
Rumors of the monsters running around Fat Monster land beginning to venture out to attack the places nearby have been getting around. Every day these become less rumor and more front page news. The Magic Council can not have these monsters continuing to advance and cause harm to the lands surrounding them, and thus they have sent out for any mages willing to help beat back the monster advances and if possible take out whatever monsters incited the others to begin wandering away from their normal stomping grounds.
*Any mages who came at the call of the Council will simply be fighting until the monster's boss has been slain. Since the monster attacks are well known about it is also for dark mages or such to show up and try to help the monsters attack nearby towns and villages. (nondescript ones of your making)*
NPC's:
N/A
Monsters/Enemies: (All enemies must be rolled for, including the boss. Boss must be slain to succeed for a good ending. All enemies rolled must be fought if you are going for the good ending. If going for an evil ending, attack a town/group/etc once rolling a boss to ally with it; other enemies will attack you until then.)
Weak;
Cyclops: The normal giant 12 feet tall standard cyclops, these monsters are foot soldiers and the first beasts encountered, showing up in regimes of 12-20 they deal only physical damage equal to that of an A-rank. They have no magic and have 200hp each. Physical attacks are 50% less effective on these monsters.
Normal;
Two-Headed Snake: Large snakes of 20 feet long who sport two heads and use venomous magic, they can use an AoE smog that travels 15 meters from them dealing C-rank damage, bite people in a post dealing .5 D-rank DOT poison damage for 3 turns, and whip their tails to do A rank physical damage to whatever they hit. These snakes often show up 5-10 strong and have 300hp
Strong;
Chimeras: Averagely sized typical chimera’s they do not like seem like much of a threat at first, only showing up in groups of 2-4 at a time. However they have 500hp each, will often team up on the same mage, deal user-rank AoE damage with a max ranged roar, can each a magic attack up to user-rank once per post without taking damage, the snakehead deals user-rank DOT damage with a toxic bite and they can deal A-rank physical damage with ramming attacks
BOSS;
Griffins: These are the masterminds behind the monster's recent strange aggressive advances. Like any good generals, they are accompanied by at least one set of all lower rank monsters when one appears. These must be defeated before it can truly be reached. This monster is capable of flight and uses multiple wind type spells, all of which deal user-rank damage to whoever they strike. His physical attacks deal User-rank spell damage, and if he happens to pick someone up and drop them from a great height, this increases to User-rank spell damage times two and stuns that character for a single post.
Possible Rewards: 2 ranks of exp above the player, max 10-year rank exp (S rank+ gets 2x 10 year exp), 50k jewels for each player. (H ranks receive triple jewels [150k] reward as well)
Note: No bonuses are added to rewards, as it is still an event.

Re: Uh... Why we here again?
Advent had been wandering around since the issues of the past two jobs that he was on, he heard the constant nagging of his parents telling him about the laws of his magic and just how many of their own rules he had broken given what he had done with Zeno. The white haired youth paid little mind to them on this occasion, to him it would have been unfair to the other if he knew everything about him and he had known nothing about Advent. "You can keep gnawing at that bone but it's not going to change the fact what's done is done" he huffed like a frustrated child his arms crossing over his chest. He was still suffering the side effects of when he had to deal with the homicidal child that had left a trail of dead in her wake leaving him taking on more than what he was use to at once giving him more than a little bit of a melt down, not that it made a bit of difference to the harsher of his parents as his training continued.
After the jobs everyone had went their own way but they kept in contact via letter, well except himself and Zeno due to the bond they now shared it was like having the people in the same body given Advent himself was like two people inside the same body. Luckily the darker aspect had been asleep so Zeno hadn't seen that part of the youth, it was the part he feared and was scared that the other would hate and fear him if he had seen that part of him. He had heard rumours the inhabitants of an island named 'Fat Monster Island' where becoming restless and moving towards Fiore and attacking people. He had been unsure if the others of his group had heard of the goings on but had sent the others messages via messenger and to Zeno through their link around a week ago so hoped that one of them would come to help with this issue, if not it was going to be a bunch of trouble he didn't want to deal with.
He got to a hill and sat at the bottom "It was here you said that we would meet them right?" he turned his head to the right, if anyone had walked passed, not that it would happen given where he was it would seem as if he was talking to the air. "Alright, alright I was just asking" he groaned, he didn't want to miss them if they had come. "Do you think they have anything to eat here?" he hit the back of his head 'Ze stop thinking about food! It's distracting... I'm at that mound hill place are you coming?' he sent to the other through their bond. Now that he thought of food thanks to his other half's thoughts his own stomach grumbled a little "Now see what he done..." he sighed standing up wondering if there was anything to forage around but sat down abruptly almost as if he had been forced to sit down "C'mon... it's been a while since I last ate" he said like a huffing child, he knew he should wait to see but he was hungry "Perhaps if they come along then they might have food" he said with a nod as he laid back against the mount his eyes closing below his blindfold; he knew whoever came would be surprised given he had gotten slightly stronger in his abilities but he knew he had further to go if he wanted to master his cursed magic.

Re: Uh... Why we here again?
It had been a while since Zeno and Tito had taken on the jobs with their other companions. They had all parted ways, still keeping in contact via letter, but Advent and Zeno..It was weird for them. Ever since that moment when they clasped each other's hands gently, they had been telepathically linked. Whatever Zeno thought, Advent could hear and vice versa. They knew everything about each other and it was quite comforting for Zeno that he had someone that he could trust fully other than his best friend Tito. His heart had felt different, he felt Advent as the sister he lost when his father killed her. Sometimes by accident he would call Advent by his unborn's sister's name, Ruby. Zeno would now go to the end of the earth for Advent, he considered himself the protector of Advent and Tito. He wouldn't allow anything to happen them, not even a scratch when he was standing before them. Because from the bottom from his hard, he truly loved the both of them.
It had been a cold day, the breeze was strong enough to not only push Zeno's crimson red hair to the side but also his companion, Tito. The cold touch of hands would be able to shock anyone and make them run away. It was different to his magic and his dynamic personality which could only be symbolized by Fire. Obviously because he was a hot-headed idiot. Weirdly, he had been feeling odd. He was a bit surprised by the link he suddenly had with Advent, and almost fainted when he heard the other's thoughts. Through the telepathic link which had many secrets behind it, he had received an invitation from Advent to come meet him. Though it was an odd and out of nowhere request, he jumped out off his rented house with his furry companion with him and began to walk to the destination. So that leaves them where they are now, walking on a freezing day as their stomachs rumbled vigorously to the point of that Advent heard it through the telepathic link as well. 'I can't stop, Ruby! My belly is starved to the point of making me want to eat my arm!' He would accidentally call Advent by his sisters name like he always did, ever since the link, he would only call Advent by his unborn sisters name who was killed by his father who dared to wish revenge upon.
'We have been using this link thing to communicate for a long time now...it even works when half way across the globe from you.' He would tell Advent in his thoughts as his blue furry companion would lay atop on his head to warm himself, falling asleep in the process. 'There better be food with you when we arrive!' He would lecture Advent as he smiled, being happy that he had been blessed with both Advent and Tito. "Thanks, Mom." Zeno would speak aloud to his dead mother who he believed was resting in heaven and watching over him. Advent and Zeno couldn't hear what they said aloud if they weren't in the same proximity like when talking with the Telepathic Link, of course they could hear each other by talking if they were in the same proximity, but they can only hear their thoughts from whatever place no matter the distance, it wasn't the same for speaking out loud.
His eyes would widen slowly as the breeze swept past, looking thoroughly he would see Advent sitting on the mound hill, 'I'm here.' He said with their linked thoughts instead of talking out loud to him.

Re: Uh... Why we here again?
Advent tilted his head a little as he heard the response from the other, at first he was confused when Zeno started to say 'Ruby' given that he said it during a time that there where only four of them, not one of them had the gem on them nor were any of them female even with seven of his parents being female not one of them was named after the red jewel. It was after asking why he had said such a thing the other had apologised saying that was him he was speaking to, but since that day Zeno stopped calling him Advent and had stared calling him by his murdered unborn little sisters name. At first it made him feel a little odd it wasn't the fact of being called by a gem's name or it being a girls name but from who it was suppose to be given but being called Ruby seemed to bring the other peace so accepted his new name from what was now his sibling without much resistance after he understood, he still wouldn't let anyone else call him such a thing no matter how much they wanted it.
Hearing the reason behind the other being the way he was made him sigh realising they likely didn't pack food before they left and they had no idea how to forage for their food, it would have to be something their parents taught him, but right now wouldn't be the best time given the urgency of their task. 'You left without food again didn't you big brother' his thoughts showed he was frustrated, he had grown accustomed to calling the other big brother for now they couldn't hide anything from one another no matter how far apart they where from each other. He found it irritating but at the same time he found it comforting that he was no longer alone, not just with the burden of his sick magic but in a physical sense. He knew he had his parents but they weren't exactly alive nor were they around his age even if some of them looked like it given that spirits didn't change appearance no matter how much time passed. 'I don't have any food here big brother and I don't think this place is good for foraging... but my magic creates food remember' he had a more cheerful tone this time knowing it would make the others happy.
Hearing that the other had made it he stood and turned towards where the other was running down the hill and right towards the other using the momentum of going down the hill to drive him quicker towards the other. As soon as he was close enough he didn't stop instead he just pounced much like a cat would spring boarding right off the ground and nuzzled happily not realising that Tito was on top Zeno's head "I missed you big brother!" he exclaimed in a happy excited tone before sitting up on the others chest grinning "Hungry?" he asked already knowing the answer given the previous conversation they had just had "Well we need to thin the herd of the threat first, but something tells me you're not going to be able to function on an empty stomach" which was a bit of an issue but he understood "Matray, let Zeno up and make sure to apologise to poor Tito who was on his head asleep" Toshi said bowing to Zeno "Pleasure to see you again Zeno, I'm sorry about him being a little excitable" she said calmly watching as Yuui dragged Advent off the other "Sorry Tito, I didn't know you where there" he said honestly his voice sincere.

Re: Uh... Why we here again?
His head would be filled with thoughts of food as his stomach could almost be louder than Tito's snores. The saliva would caress his chin as it awkwardly slid off his face as he dreamed of Luxurious foods that not even money could afford. The sounds around him were blurred as thoughts of food were prioritized. He was starved and the only way he could get food was by hoping Advent had some. 'HOLY CRAP!' He would yell to Advent through their telepathic link, surprised that he had forgotten about Advent's luxurious magic which allowed him to make food out of absolutely nothing, which meant that Zeno and Tito would have the time of their lives if they hung out with their buddy ol' pal.
As he would see Advent, but before he could speak he was pounced upon, making him instantly fall to the ground, hurting Tito as he fell off Zeno's head. "No, it's fine you crazy idiot!" Tito would say though he was clearly irritated as he was awoken. "Hello, Toshi! It's fine!" Zeno would greet Toshi with a wide smile spread across his face. Suddenly a loud roar could be heard from a long distance, "Guess our monster friends are here, huh?" Zeno would say as he would furrow his brows.

Re: Uh... Why we here again?
Advent groaned a little as all he got where thoughts of different kinds of foods and how Zeno thought about them, it was true some sounded interesting, even delicious but a lot of it he himself wouldn't eat due to being a vegan. "Will you stop thinking about this stuff, it's distracting!" he pouted moving off Zeno. He himself had forgotten that he could make food with his magic this was due to normally travelling alone and while he could create it, he was unable to partake in eating it. Yunalesca moved forward and picked up Tito who had been flung from Zeno's head with a sigh "Matray, how many times have we said to watch how excitable you get, people can get hurt" she said her voice calm but strict, she knew that they would eventually have this conversation again as it would never sink in, but knew that wasn't his fault but the way he had to protect his mind from his accursed magic or he would fall to it's darkness sooner than he should.
"I'm sorry Yunalesca I was just so excited to see him, it's been a long time" he said like a happy child, "It's only been two months" Yuui commented "For him that might as well be five years we know this already" Ayu chimed in "You might want to make the two some food Matray, like you said they won't really be much help if they're hungry" Toshi chuckled remembering how the two ran on their stomachs before anything else. Advent tipped his head hearing the low roars in the distance and let out a sigh "Do they have enough time to eat?" he asked unsure really on the matter, but he also knew Tito and Zeno could eat an all you can eat buffet quicker than most people could drink a glass of water. Taking what the other had mentioned in their bond he sat down and began to sing his hand movements precise as he done so creating the foods Zeno had been drooling over.

Re: Uh... Why we here again?
He was beginning to understand their language - the language of those who spoke to him in his head. Although his understanding was limited, he understood enough to decipher a command they had given him. You must hunt. While he didn't quite know what exactly they wanted him to hunt, he knew that soon this fact would become clear. Not longer after he received this mandate from the voices in his head, voices that he reasoned had to be coming from the book he felt compelled to carry around at all times and thus meaning he wasn't crazy, the Magic Council put out a job request for any willing mages to be sent to varying locations in order to hunt down monsters that were terrorizing local populations. In response, he received a message by messenger hawk that Advent and Zeno were taking up the job and invited him to come along. He wasn't about to question the apparent divination demonstrated by his watchers and instead began to walk from his current location: a cliff side overlooking the ocean, to Fat Monsterland.
The name really did make him cringe internally, but there wasn't really much he could do about it. It was descriptive, there was no doubt about that, but perhaps it was a bit too blunt. Regardless, there was currently no doubt in his mind about what his observers wanted him to do. For one reason or another, they wanted him to hunt monsters - something that he was obliged to do. Armed with his knowledge of the anatomy of creatures all over Fiore, he would be able to do real damage to the worst of them. With a little research of what he would be fighting he might even find ways to do away with the monsters in the most effective way possible. For now, though, all he had was his magic and his relatively limited knowledge on the physiology of what he would be fighting.
As he neared Fat Monsterland, he found them. Zeno who had a rather shameful gluttony about him that could only be matched by some kind of demon - and Advent, who often spoke of invisible people so often that the only possible conclusion to be drawn was that he was schizophrenic. "Hello you two. Good to see that you're both seemingly doing well. Might I ask why you two decided to take up such a dangerous mission in favor of a safer one?" he asked, genuinely curious as to their reasons for putting themselves in the way of monsters. He had his reasons, of course, but he knew that they didn't share that reason. Well, at least it was very unlikely that they did.

Re: Uh... Why we here again?
His head would be spinning as he watched Advent's movement's carefully, chanting whilst his eyes took a twirl because of the stress of having to wait out until Advent finished making him and his furry companion's food. Who would have known that mages have such diverse magic that they can create luxurious foods out of plain air, for Zeno and Tito, it was like god calling them to heaven, they HAD to learn that magic one way or another. So as they drooled over the delicious food that Advent was slowly making, probably trying to tease them, they would completely block out the sounds of the screeching monsters, focusing wholeheartedly on the food. 'Hurry up, Ruby!' He would yell to her through their telepathic link rather than talking out loud. The smile on their faces was unimaginable once they saw platters and platters of food basically dancing in front of the lusted eyes, glaring at the food with only one gluttony intention, devour.
Before they could jump into the food, rather even touch it. They were interrupted by a silver haired man who they recognized as not Zenshin, but...Another mage with the ability to create food. "Zenshin, make us some food as well. It can be a feast for me and Tito!" He would yell in happiness as suddenly the roars got so close that not even he could block them out. 'Ruby, eating later. We have a job to do.' He would tell Advent through the telepathic link, Zenshin not being able to hear.

Re: Uh... Why we here again?
Advent continued his dance the music continuing with each movement more food was being created, to be honest he was surprised that the two had held back instead of digging in like he thought they would. Hearing Zeno's words in his mind he wanted to sigh and tell him to hush or he'd stop but that again came with it's own back lash with corruption getting stronger if he made even a single wrong move, he would never permit such a thing to happen 'Ze, my magic need precision or...' his thoughts went silent knowing the other knew what it meant and where it would end if he became to corrupted, he couldn't do that to him ever, just thinking about that fate made him want to shudder but he continued to dance till the last step before stopping a sigh finally escaping his lips. "I can make more later for you both" he said knowing that time was not their friend at the current moment.
Feeling a familiar spiritual energy Advent grinned more so as he heard the familiar voice calling to them "Zenni!" he called out raising both hands over his head and waving like an excited child, he didn't care how stupid he must have looked he was just happy to see another of their group. "I didn't think you'd come, damn that bird was fast... how have you been?" he was talking so quickly it was almost like he wasn't stopping to think or even breath as he spoke his words. Hearing Zenshin's question he had an almost puzzled look on his face as if he had no idea what the other was talking about "This is dangerous?" he asked with a shrug "Go figure..." he didn't seem to be to worried about what he had just been told but more like it was something that he would likely do on a day to day basis "I really hope this doesn't let me down" he said to himself as he crossed his arms.
"I was kinda dragged here" he said finally as he felt the subtle vibrations getting worse as well as the noise "I swear to the cycles if they don't keep it down..." he got distracted again and that was never a good thing but then he suddenly clicked back to Zenshin's questions "Spirits tell me where to go and I have to go, it's as simple as that." he was guildless so he had no real access to job boards or the likes so he took the work the dead gave him, sometimes it just happened to coincide with a job that was currently active. Still didn't get the point of jewel though often leaving a task without getting the reward. Hearing Zeno's words he turned his head nodding 'Agreed' he sent back 'Quicker we deal with them the quicker you can eat, wonder if it will be cold by then' he teased the other laughing suddenly but it be only something the other would know about.
"So what's the plan, by vibration we have two different types coming towards us... two of one kind and a snake" he said rubbing his right foot on the ground "A little behind that we have another snake and some more of the same kind... there's something beyond that but it's to far behind and the others are kinda masking it with their own vibrations" he admitted the only thing he could say for sure is they had snakes incoming and some other things but couldn't name them, it had been the first time he came across the vibrations before. He being a support mage had to wait and see where his magic would be of best use so he left the details to the others and he would just go along with it, he had no idea why but the thing in the distance gave him a bad feeling that was for sure.

Re: Uh... Why we here again?
"Seems as though some things don't change. At least your obsession with food means that you've probably been alright since we last saw each other." he said to Zeno, a bit disappointed that he did not receive an answer to his query regarding the glutton's reasons for being here, but that could be revealed in the future. He then turned his head to the less manic of the two and was greeted with quite a surprise. "I'm pretty fast myself, you know." he said with a smile, thinking about his optimal means of travel. "I've been well, though. I'm beginning to understand the strange occurrences that have recently befallen me, so things couldn't really be going very much better." he continued, responding to the question of the youngest of the three. "Yeah. It's quite dangerous. They don't call it Fat Monsterland because there aren't fat monsters, after all. You could criticize the naming as being lazy, but you certainly can't criticize it for not being descriptive." After he said this, Advent simply shrugged and expressed his complete and utter expectation. While it didn't seem as though he was informed about the dangers of Fat Monsterland, it did seem as though he wasn't surprised at all to hear of the dangers.
The white haired mage listened closely to what Advent had to say and was a bit surprised at what he heard. Advent, the same Advent who switched between manically happy and coldly serious, actually listened to someone? Well, somethings. Him seeing 'spirits' would definitely explain why he talks to the air. Spirits are a great way to justify that sort of thing. Only you can see and hear them, making them an ideal cover to defend against suspicions of insanity. That must be it. That poor child. he thought, coming to a coming to a conclusion which he figured to be cogent before simply nodding at Advent. "Alright Advent. Though I'm surprised to learn that there are some forces that even you do not question - especially when those same forces have led you to do a dangerous task without informing you of the risk. I might think twice before blindly following them." In his mind, he chuckled at the pun he had made but quickly remembered that there was a job to be done.
"The plan is to take these monsters out as quickly as we can so that by the time the reinforcements arrive, there won't be anything left to reinforce. I don't think that we'll be able to take many of these monsters at once. That said, we can't leave until the strongest among them is hunted. Well, I can't and I would hope that you two would remain by my side." He knew he had to hunt these beasts, for that was the will of those which communicated with him via the codex he kept on him. Only recently was he truly able to understand the words they had said and, upon realizing this, relegated the duty of communicating with him to one among them. It's message was simple and remained in Zenshin's mind since he had first heard it. "You must hunt." Right after the thought popped into his mind one last time, a blueish purple aura emanated from his body and took the appearance of his weapons: a scythe and a long pistol, and a long and regal looking garb in which he would be able to hunt much more effectively.

Re: Uh... Why we here again?
Advent looked to Zenshin as he spoke but he was obviously confused at what he was saying, of course there were people he listened to; he wouldn't get very far if he didn't, well that and he didn't want to face the punishment that followed it. He thought carefully for a moment which was easily seen as he scratched the side of his cheek with a somewhat clueless look on his face. "Well of course I listen to people, I need information and have tasks to do... that and I'm scared of my parents when I do wrong they're so stern." he finally said in a factual tone more than anything as if the other should already know about that "And do you still think I'm crazy Zenni?" he asked tilting his head to the right a little making his hair move slightly to be dangling off his shoulder. He hadn't read the others mind but it was an observation that his guardians had picked up on when their ward had dealt with the elder man and had discussed it at length with him.
Where he may have seemed insane this wasn't the case, he was chaotic in things there was no way he could argue with that but because of how he was many took him as a joke or pitied him for his apparent disability of the mind. He had a habit of using it to his advantage and it made his tasks that much easier because of it. "I'm not crazy Zenni, we've been through this before." he said with a sigh knowing it would be like talking to a brick wall "I hear people within the cycles" he said for the umpteenth since they had originally met. He had even met one of them on the first task but something seemed to keep his mind from remembering it. 'He has issues' he thought to himself before shrugging and standing up straight, that would be something for another day to deal with, right now they had a more imminent problem.
"Well then lets get to it shall we?" he said a smile on his face as he took his first stance as he began to move in a more delicate way the dance smoothly flowing as a gentle tone took over the place the enemy seeming to become sluggish almost in the trance of a lullaby, the delicate dance continued but the movements became more sporadic as it continued, he then had to think what would give the other the best advantage and thus a great canyon appeared out of nowhere making sure they would have to funnel in making them easier pickings given what the other had created. His own voice remained silent but as the canyon appeared the lullaby took a lower undertone that blended perfectly.

Re: Uh... Why we here again?
"Of course I still think you're crazy Advent. You have placed yourself in harm's way because the beings that only you can see that you call 'parents' told you to do it. Tell me that doesn't sound crazy." he said before turning his head to the side in order to ask Zeno for some validation. "Come on Zeno, tell me I'm not...," but Zeno was nowhere to be found. He and Tito had vanished without so much as a word. "Um. Advent. Did you see where Zeno went? My eyes might be deceiving me, but I don't see him anywhere. I was counting on him helping us out." the mage said, a bit perplexed at this situation. He looked around again, nothing but dead trees filled his vision. Well, dead trees and four monstrously large chimeras from the looks of it.
The head and body of a lion, the claws of a hawk and winks of a hawk, and a snake for a tail. There was no mistaking these creatures for something other than what they were - an abomination. Before he could inform Advent of creatures he had only read about, the shroud of night shifted from covering the land of monsters to covering a grand canyon. Must be Advent singing illusions he thought, noticing at the chimeras would need to funnel through a very narrow pathway lined with jagged rocks on both sides. Zenshin looked to the sides and it seemed as though the canyon's walls extended higher than he would think physically possible. "Thank you Advent. Very helpful. Be cautious around these. Especially their tails. They're quite poisonous" he said, a last warning before charging towards the monster trying to make its way through the tight space.
Thanks to the illusion, he would have to try not to miss. Thus, he pointed his strangely shaped pistol and fired ten times. Red flashes and loud bangs went off every time he pulled the trigger and every single one of his bullets found their target. In an instant, one chimera was down and Zenshin fell onto his right knee. Seems I overdid it a little he thought, feeling the regenerative power of his underlying clothing easing some of the strain he put on himself. "If you have any spells to ease wounds, it would be a good time to tell me, Advent" he said, taking in a large volume of air with each breath.

Re: Uh... Why we here again?
Advent rolled his eyes under his blindfold hearing the other's reply to still thinking him crazy, he would reply to it but he knew to do so would break the harmony he had going and thus make the enemy be as strong as they where meant to be. 'I'll deal with that issue after, the harmony ends.' he thought to himself as he continued to move twirling and moving as he continued to keep his spells going, with how he was it was hard to believe that the youth wasn't tired but more energetic if anything as his speed increasing. He listened as his guardians gave him information on what the other was doing, and couldn't help but let out a silent sigh as the other seemed to be using blood bullets 'And he calls me nuts, what the hell is he thinking?!' he thought himself but again this was something else he would have to deal with at the end of the harmony period. It was then he remembered the other had asked.
He wanted to reply but again he couldn't 'Ze... where are you? We need you...' he sent through the bond he shared with Zeno but nothing came back which made him more than a little concerned. He figured he would be eating, after all he seemed so hungry but then he was always that way. 'Zen-ze, he needs help...' he thought in the hopes that it would reach the priestess but Zen-Ze was already one step ahead. A girl standing five foot three inches dressed in a long flowing kimono, her long lavender hair tied back in a white piece of silk appeared. "Careful or be hurt" she said creating a glowing field of green light, it may have not been much but it would heal them both for a short time. As this was going on advent had changed his dance once more as another undertone added to the ever changing requiem as four more of himself appeared taking over the requiem as he himself arched his foot back and took a knee his left hand going to his chest almost like a knight bowing in front of a noble.
Beneath him a glowing white seal eventually appeared, he slowly moved his hands in front of him clasping them like a closed lotus his body taking on an almost opalescence ethereal appearance. There was now a secondary requiem being made. Unlike normal these voices seem to be full of hope and joy, soon his hand movements slowly open revealing a small pale green lotus within with it petals fully open. He knew the other was seriously hurt and wanted to do what he could to heal him but right now that was limited given until the lotus died he himself was bound to his current spot.

Re: Uh... Why we here again?
Zenshin could feel his vitality returning to him. "Thank you Advent. I'm quite fortunate to a healer with me" he said without breaking his gaze from the next chimera trying to not only squeeze through the rocks but also climb over the corpse of its fallen comrade. In order to squeeze through, the monsters had to keep their wings tucked very tightly against their body meaning that they could not fly through the narrow path. They seemed to be quite physically adept, so Zenshin made sure that despite being more of a melee fighter he had to keep his distance. "Shield your eyes Advent, I'm about to create a very bright flash" he said, pointing the palm of his mechanical right hand at the chimera that was trying to squeeze its way through the rock walls. A moment after making this motion, a powerful eruption of brilliant golden flames came from the palm and engulfed the entire narrow path.
Ash from the smaller rocks that were incinerated instantly was kicked up into the air and the mane of the chimera at the front of the line was scorched in some places with very little of it remaining attached to the creature. For his next attack, he threw a spherical concentration of his magical energy and it exploded into twenty glowing swords. They hovered over him in the shape of arcs. Two arcs with 10 in each row. He flicked his wrist and, in unison, they all aimed at the lion making its way to the end of the path of rocks. With another flick they all sped down and impaled the beast's back, head, and limbs. Zenshin was unfamiliar with the anatomy of the monster, but he knew that they had a spine and thus had a very vulnerable area. While he was unsure which sword exactly did the trick, he chimera eventually fell, paralyzed. Its tail had been severed by one of his blades so he knew that it could no longer shoot poison. Essentially, it was no longer able to fight despite still being alive.
This left two chimeras which, unfortunately had been close behind the one he had just taken down and were thus right at the end of the trail.

Re: Uh... Why we here again?
Advent remained exactly how he was knelt the lotus becoming slightly darker within his own open lotus styled hands, it was almost as if he was cradling the magical flower held within from any harm without it. He knew this requiem was a strong healer however he knew if he held it to long it could be just as an effective weapon but would hurt his own allies too and he'd never take that risk no matter the stakes. Hearing Zenshin's words he couldn't help but quirk an eyebrow as he heard the other call him a healer 'A healer? Think my parents would beg to differ.' he let out a mental sigh he knew the other had only seen him use illusion and healing before, but his magic had a darker side, a much darker side and he feared it; but then he feared his magic as a whole given what it done when he was far to young to understand anything it be easy to understand. That one incident created what he was to become and the apparent madness that others seen in the youth.
He knew however to get this task done he may have to tap into the darker stages of his magic and he could feel the other side of his soul stirring almost as if anticipating its awakening 'Stop it! Stay asleep!' he begged trying to keep himself in balance or things could go hellishly wrong very quickly and right now they had no room for mistakes given there was only two of them to deal with everything that was going on. Then he heard Zenshin speak once more bringing him out of his own thoughts 'Did he just tell me to cover my eyes?' the tone in his head was filled with confusion and disbelief 'Didn't he see the blindfold? Or remember that I'm blind?' he wanted to face palm and tell the other to open his eyes but if he did the last crucial moments of the harmony would end early and the lotus would fall he couldn't risk either happening so remained quiet.
While his physical self was bound to remaining to one point the shades he had of himself continued the original spells, he controlled them once again making the dance and tones change. With the other side of his spirit stirring it was making it harder for him to keep the melody perfect but he was managing it or it could backfire 'You're going to make us sick, stop it... I promise to sleep when the lotus comes to an end.' he sent to his other self making it go still, in honesty he hoped that this would end before then but he knew it was unlikely. The melody took now a low eerie undertone as the last two chimera and the snakes stopped and started to fight amongst themselves suddenly this was due to the delusion that he forced upon them as they now looked like plague ridden undead husks of their former selves, it made advent breath deeply as he also heard the whispers the enemy did before long the four enemies where down making advent stop the spells he had active and stand walking to Zenshin.
"I'm not crazy, the girl you seen is one of my mothers. Her name is Zen-Ze she is a healer." he said gently his hand going to his head he already knew he was starting to get sick but had to keep going til the task was over a smile coming onto his face "Did you forget I was blind?" he finally asked with a chuckle his hands going to his blindfold "You're so silly Zenni, anyway... I can feel the other vibrations better. Two more chimera, another snake, twelve... I don't know but their humanoid and then there's something else it vibrations are similar to that of a chimera but they're heavier... I've never encountered something like it so it's all the information I can give." he said pointing east "They're over that way." he said putting his hands on the back of his head and walking as if he was talking a leisurely stroll knowing that the next part he wasn't going to exactly be himself.

Re: Uh... Why we here again?
I forgot he was blind... god dammit "No.... It was, um, alright yes I forgot you were blind. You have the spatial awareness of someone who can see so that fact may have slipped my mind" he said, wiping his face with his hand and looking towards the ground. The remaining two chimeras had torn each other as well as the monstrous creatures that trailed behind them apart. Must've been Advent. Convenient. This will give me a chance to rest before the other creatures arrive. I'll take some samples in the mean time he thought as he walked to the fresh corpses of the chimeras. He detached the blade from his scythe via a handle which served as a hilt and holstered his pistol. The mage knelt behind the nearest chimera and severed the snake tail - the source of the poison cloud.
He stared at the structure intently before reattaching the blade to the scythe and materializing a small brown backpack in his now free hand. He tossed the snake into the bag and de-materialized the backpack. "I have no idea what you're talking about by the way. I did not see anyone. Also, Advent, you can only have one mother." he said before removing a feather from the wing of the beast and a tooth from its maw. He put these two artifacts into his coat pocket for safe keeping. Once he was satisfied, he got to his feet and traveled east alongside his illusionist companion. It wasn't long before they found the "heavier chimera." They were massive and had their own escort detail of monster they had just fought.
Two chimera, twelve cyclops, five twin headed snakes, and a griffin. It had to be a griffin. he thought as he took his long scythe off his back and into his hands. "The bigger chimera you felt is called a griffin. They use wind magic so its best to get into close combat with them. They're physically powerful due to their size but their weight makes them unwieldy. The humanoids are cyclops. They don't have magic, but they have very tough skin. Hard for melee combat specialists like me to deal with." he said, giving Advent pertinent information on enemies with which he was most like unfamiliar. "As such, I'll be going after the snakes and the chimeras. I leave the cyclops to you" he said, dashing forward at inhuman speeds. Before reaching the closer chimera, he decided it would be best to ask for assistance from his new masters.
He didn't even need to say anything - they knew and did not hesitate to loan him some of their power. From a pitch black rift that appeared in the ground beside him - a shadow of a hound emerged. It looked like a silhouette save for its vacant eyes and white, razor sharp teeth. Bright, Zenshin's beast, would distract the chimeras with a frontal assault while Zenshin leapt into the air. The wolf would lunge at the lion's head while the mage came down from the sky and swept with his weapon, severing the snake tail from the body of the beast. Naturally it was cry out and violently turn around while signaling its partner chimera to do the same. Once they were both focused on him, Bright did not hesitate to put its teeth to use in tearing off the snake tail from the second chimera.
Yet another cry from the chimeras as they turned once again to focus on Bright who had just assisted Zenshin in his maneuver to negate the dangerous poisonous attacks from the beasts. With the tails neutralized, he was relatively safe to fight within close range and thus he swung his scythe in an arc and impaled his target to which it responded with a powerful kick with its hind legs. Despite the mage's best efforts to hold onto his weapon, he was sent flying backwards. Vector he thought, casting two boxes. One in the space right behind him which he would fly into, sending him at an upward angle such that he would be right over his target's head before the second box, which would launch him straight down, would be reached. Thanks to these boxes he made a swift recovery and upon the end of his trip through the air, he made sure to point his heels down so that he would crash upon the chimera's head with maximum force.
Without wasting any time, he retrieved his weapon from the unconscious and gravely wounded monster. A combination of blunt force trauma and blood loss seemed to do the trick. The second chimera was already charging by the time he had gotten his weapon back and, just before its head collided with Zenshin's entire body, he was pushed out of the way by Bright who took the attack head on and burst into shadows which quickly dissipated. Zenshin wasn't about to let this opportunity go to waste. He quickly got to his feet and slashed the chimera's body all along the right side. It tried whipping its head him, only to be met by a swift leap backwards. After his maneuver, he dashed in and swung his weapon once again. This time, the blade made contact with the beasts neck to which it was met with a violent roar and another jerk of the head.
This time, Zenshin managed to hold on and, as a result, was able to remove his weapon and swing it at the exact same location with which he had just impacted. He removed it a second time and used the blade to block a swiping motion from the beast which injured the attacker even more. Finally, it too, fell. By this time, the snakes had surrounded him and hew knew that they were spread out in a perfect way so as to all be effected by his next spell. "Stay back Advent. I'm about to raise the temperature" he warned before punching his fist into the ground as the snakes grew ever closer. Flames erupted from the ground in a disk whose radius was 60 meters. The snakes hissed in pain as the flames rose a foot and completely engulfed the monsters that stayed close to the ground.

Re: Uh... Why we here again?
Advent raised an eyebrow to the man's answer about him being blind "I don't wear the blindfold as a fashion statement." he said with a sly grin as he continued walking with the other "I was trained by my parents how to feel vibrations in the air and earth" he said yawning a little, he was getting a little sleepy but he knew for a fact he couldn't sleep yet "Yeah, I know.. task danger... blah, blah, blah..." he said in frustration he was sick and tired of the constant lectures but flinched as if he had been hit by someone "Hay, that hurt!" he protested his voice and face he was far from happy about what had just happened, he head then turned towards Zenshin as he spoke "I have seven mothers and two fathers." he said with a shrug not really caring if what was 'normal' was only one his family had nine parents and him and he wasn't about to argue with them given he raised him.
"And people say I'm blind..." he shook his head to the other "You need your eyes checked" he said with a grin but listened to what the other said about the enemies they where about to face "Okay, lets get it over and done with." he said though his voice trembled as if he was frightened his hand going to his blindfold and pulled it off wrapping it around his wrist the first thing that would be noticeable is how his eyes where. They where ice blue but held no pupil instead there was golden text in each, his look instantly changed from being laid back to almost stiff it was as if he was a different person completely his eyes and face stern though held a smirk on it "Time for fun" his voice almost seemed thrilled at the chance to do battle which was out of the ordinary even for the insanity Advent usually showed, his clothing also changed to be more regal. "Seems we're going behind the veils" he said quietly, even in this aspect he was not to sure about this ability.
His arms moved around him as if he was hugging himself protecting him from whatever was about to come fourth, while he kept himself in the hugged position his fingers started moving as they did voices of all races, ages, genders would be heard. Advent closed his eyes as tears of blood started to stream down his cheeks continuing with what he was doing, seemingly he forced himself to stop hugging his body light coming from his fingertips as he seems to entwine the voices into what seems a single voice though each individual can still be heard. Taking a deep breath he uses the voices to weave a nightmarish illusion where the area would look like it had been engulfed in an eerie, dark, misty fog buildings, streets, fixtures all seen as ruins nothing of nature would be seen from the fog eight mutilated, disease ridden people came forth and started to attack the snakes.
The next thing he done was moved his hands in an elegant manner and eight shadows appeared around him, he merely pointed to the cyclops and they dashed forward to take care of what was their enemy "Shadow!" he said in a demanding tone, each of the wraiths then had a sword made of shadow in their hands as they darted between each of the cyclops with an inhumane speed. Twisting a little his hands following his body he knocked three of the cyclops back into a nearby mountain "Fools!" he callously said taking a few steps forward, it's true he was now disorientated but he didn't have the time to deal with that right now he wanted to make sure he done as much damage as possible. He now stood in almost a straight poised position a somewhat smug look on his face and cold unfeeling eyes as he watched the puppets and minions he had summoned from the other side causing more than their fair share of issues not only because they where doing damage but that as the enemy tried to hit them they moved so the enemy hurt their allies, it was working out better than he could have ever wished for but he was far from done.
Around his feet a blue glowing seal appears that ignites a few seconds after it appears into blue flames two meters around himself that are six inches high, moving his hand he expanded it to engulf the enemies that where well within thirty feet of himself making them cry out in pain as the fire burned flesh with ease. He began to dance but unlike his normal elegant and playful requiems his movements where precise and straight to the point like he was all business, soon though he stopped dancing but the effect of the requiem remained up it was something that had never happened before but somehow this one had. The long strand of purple runes found starting at his wrist and ending close to his shoulder that even when inactive gave off a light purple glow, when touched they sounded of a somewhat eerie noise and the glow had now turned black showing he had activated the requiem that he normally shyed away from. He now himself dashed forward towards the enemies, something he had never done before and started to punch at the enemies physically his fists giving off a black glow flaring at each punch that landed the whites and color of his eyes now black the text within it a deep blood red as he made quick work of the enemies that he had attacked.
After sometime however he fell to his knees his eyes returning to normal as he screamed out in despair tears falling as he began to shake reliving everything that was just done as some twisted living dream, his body wasn't able to move it was paralysed through fear and the memories unable to come to the terms of what he did, but there was something more seen in his eyes and now white appearance it was almost like he was trying to come to terms with something that he shouldn't have seen.

Re: Uh... Why we here again?
To say he was shocked would be an massive understatement. The Sabertooth mage kept his eyes dead set on his companion who had, for the first time, removed his blind fold. He transformed into what appeared to be a regal young adult. Then, all hell broke loose. Advent's magic transported them and their monstrous enemies into some kind of city-scape covered in black fog. From this fog erupted mutilated humanoids who were subject to Advent's will and thus attacked the snakes which were currently cooking in Zenshin's spell. Additionally, the illusionist mage conjured up what seemed to be shadows of some sort to attack the cyclops. Blue fire flew and illuminated the otherwise dark and ruined city before Advent himself lunged forward with a barrage of powerful melee strikes. It had been a long time since he had seen such carnage and chaos all at once and he was, aside from shocked, reasonably impressed. The realm he currently found himself in didn't bother him too much and even seemed to relax the voices of those he perceived as gods, at least in some sense.
Just as the final blow was to be struck, however, Advent fell to his knees and seemingly could not move any longer. Well if there was ever a cue to move in it would definitely be this he thought as he ran as fast as he could to intercept the charging griffon. The beast had finally decided it was time to fight given that all of its minions were dead. As he ran, he put the scythe on his back and removed the blade once more to use as a sword so that his left hand would be free to utilize his firearm. His weapon was powerful and if there was ever a time to use everything he had it would be right now. As he neared the two, he whistled loudly to get the monster's attention. Once he had that attention he leapt at the creature.
Much like a fly, though, he was quickly swatted out of the air by a gust of wind that was quick enough to give him superficial cuts and strong enough to knock him into a nearby office building whose first and second floors were still intact. Thankfully, it seemed as though the griffon believed him to be a more enjoyable time than prey who wouldn't fight back. Or couldn't rather. Zenshin bode his time underneath the debris of the wall he had been knocked through until the griffon was at a close enough distance to ensure he had a perfect shot. A red flash and a loud bang went off as the bullet exited his gun and found its way through the left wing of his prey. It squawked loudly in pain as it recoiled before charging into him beak first. I suppose ventured nothing gained... he thought, unhappy with the decision he was about to make. He decided to take the charging attack directly while plunging his sword into the griffon's skull.
Much to his surprise, it did not yield! It simply continued forward until it crashed into another wall. Once again, the mage was sent through another structure but this time he ended up in a dark alleyway of the ruined city. I can't believe that my sword didn't stop it. Now I've temporarily lost my weapon and I can at least assess that my sternum has suffered a massive fracture and at least two of my ribs are broken he thought, lying on the ground and watching the griffon march up to him. Once it got close enough, it put its front-most left talon onto his chest and pressed down as if in some show of superiority. The pain and the cracking sound were definitely good indicators of what was to come if he didn't do something.
Luckily, one of his weapons remained and he didn't hesitate to fire five shots at point blank range straight into its skull. It screeched again and Zenshin was on the verge of passing out from all the trauma he had sustained, but he needed to will himself to remain conscious until the bird was taken care of. It was visibly and severely damaged, but it still had enough energy to dig its talons into his shoulders and carry him up high into the air. It was going to drop him from 50 meters in the sky which would, undoubtedly be lethal. He couldn't fly nor did he have any spells to stop his momentum safely. While it would appear to be over for him, he had one last trick up his sleeve.
He holstered his weapon quickly and, at the peak of the griffon's flight path, pointed his palm at the ground to create an invisible but very solid platform that he would use to catch the monster off guard. His legs went from dangling in mid air to being firmly planted. Before the monster could realize that letting him go did not result in him plummeting to his death he sent a left hook into its thick skull. This attack was charged with a burst of magical energy, making the griffon susceptible to any future damage inflicted upon it. Specifically, though, Zenshin grabbed the hilt of the sword which was still sticking out the left temple of the beast and rammed it as hard as he could into the stunned and shocked monster. Finally, he had pierced through his target's head and thus attacked its central nervous system. Nothing with a brain could have survived such an assault.
Zenshin took his weapon back and extended the platform he had created such that he got access to the rooftop of one of the taller buildings that remained intact. Lucky for me he thought, laying down to rest.
