IN COMBAT- Elyan usually does his best to avoid combat, preferring to negotiate, misdirect and get other people to fight for him. Should he finally be forced to take action himself, he will be as direct and efficient as possible, often using his mirages to misdirect his opponents towards non-combatants to make them look bad, or even each other, if he is fighting more than one person. He has very little concern for collateral damage if his life is on the line, although it is something that he genuinely wants to avoid. His magic, apart from the mirages, is something he is not very skilled in when it comes to direct combat. He will often try and disguise himself with a mirage if he is doing something he shouldn't, he never uses his true face for direct intervention. He keeps his mirages ability secret from everyone, as he feels that someone might figure out what hes been up to, if they know that he can literally change his appearance with a flick of his wrist.
OUT OF COMBAT- In standard conversation, Elyan appears charming and kind to just about anyone he meets, always happy to help people out in any way whatsoever and will often be sociable, almost chatty in the company of others. This, of course, is a lie. Under his facade hides a vicious, power-hungry jerk who will go to almost any lengths to get what he wants. His entire motives revolve around simple greed and pride, it takes a great deal to satisfy him, and even then, he will most likely move on.
The feeling of control and power over others is his ideal state and he will do anything to keep it that way. He deliberately plays up his image and mannerisms to look harmless to others, extending even to his clothing and magic, which are both bright themed. He uses this to help with the misconception that light is always good. He considers magic to only be his secondary weapon, relying on his incredible intelligence to get him out of any situation he gets himself into. He does not outwardly show it to others, but he is incredibly prideful and rarely forgets a slight, although he is not stupid enough to donate his precious time to pretty causes like revenge.
Although this is his main personality, one of his main traits (gained from his time with the troupe) is the ability to completely change his personality at the drop of a hat. Along with his illusions, he can become a completely different person in every way in a matter of seconds. He has learned everything he can about acting, and can do it perfectly, unless one of his buttons is pushed. (see below)
Despite his knowledge of the human mind, lack of meaningful human relationships throughout his life have made him completely unable to understand how they work beyond simple attraction and interest in personality. Although he can fake it surprisingly well, he still cant quite understand the point or object of one.

*Sleeping- its just a habit, but he can take a nap just about anywhere and often does so, in order to remain in the best mental shape. Oddly enough, he rarely sleeps for very long periods.
*Wine- It makes him sick if he drinks more than a little, but he likes how sophisticated he looks with it in his hand.
*Money- For obvious reasons. He is quite the frivolous spender. Of course, its oftentimes not his money hes spending.
*His face- He takes great care of his face, making sure to remove any blemishes as soon as they appear, and often applies a bit of make up now and then. He goes into a rage if anyone touches it without his permission.

*Being made a fool of- He hides it quite well, but Elyan is extremely prideful. Looking stupid in front of people is one of the worst things that can happen, he feels.
*Being vastly outnumbered- He has always been pushed around by groups of people bigger and stronger than him, and although he is used to dealing with them, he gets extremely nervous when facing a large group with hostile intent towards him, and can even make mistakes. He makes a point to specifically avoid facing them.

Hair: His hair is a dark grey colour, combed over his missing eye to hide the eyepatch as well. He deliberately messes it up slightly to make himself look carefree.
Eyes: A piercing yellow colour, almost like a cats.
Skin Tone: Pale white, almost albino like with little to no flaws on his face. The rest of his body though, is often slightly discoloured, mostly from various scars and bruising.
Appearance: Elyan has a boyish, almost effeminate face, to the point he can pass for a girl if he dresses correctly. His clothing is all custom made for his slightly thin frame, composing of a dark purple coat and matching trousers along with black dress shoes. The only other item of clothing he wears is a blue scarf, which is the only thing he still keeps from his childhood (although he claims that he only keeps it because it really is a good scarf). Under his clothing, he is a mess, although his face is untouched. Scars from many different wounds litter his back mostly, although he has a few on his front. His face, in contrast, is kept untouched, apart from the obvious damage to the area around his missing eye, which he hides with his hair and eyepatch. He considers it a point of pride that he is as good looking as he is, considering the various beatings his face took as a child.
